JPMorgan Chase credit card customer service

Below is a cc of the letter I sent to chase this afternoon:
I am absolutely disheartened by the behavior of the credit services department for chases credit card department. My account had gone into a credit services program and I had the opportunity to pay the full balance off. Cesi contact chase on 04/03 to get a pay off. They were given an amount valid until 04/28. On 04/23 the payment posted on my account at this time I had a credit balance. Cesi also mailed in the drop letter for my account with the payment to signify that my enrollment in their program was completed. Chase decided to process my drop letter before processing the payment to my account therefore I was charged the 27percent rate for the balance at that time and had a balance showing due of $69. I saw this and immediately called into chase to verify that this was or was not something I was to pay. I was told by a representative of chase that the balance was not a final balance and that it would take a statement cycle for everything on this account to be cleared up and that I need not worry about this balance at this time. So on my advice from a chase representative I did not make the payment; I waited. Then I notice this month that instead of the balance going away or down it has increased due to a late fee. I called to find out what this was all about and see what was going on. I spoke with an incredibly unhelpful and rude associate and was then transferred to emily richie out of the oklahoma office to see if perhaps she could help me. She listened to my story as I have explained it above and put me on hold to research. She came back and explained the $69 and the late fee and that we are looking at a timing issue here. She then refused to transfer me to her supervisor chris bailey. I am furious and deeply sadden. I have been a chase customer and a returning chase customer for 10 years now. I have stayed with chase based on their customer service. Apparently since I fell on hard times and had problems paying my bill I no longer matter as a customer, especially to the credit services department. I was spoken to today like I hadn't paid my bill in years. I worked hard to make sure that I made everything right with chase and all of my creditors and have done so. It seems, however, that chase doesn’t t feel it necessary to make things right with their customers.
I would like to have these amounts removed from my account and my balance zero d. I think that these charges are unethical and the method in which they were applied completely goes against everything that chase has always stood for in a banking partner. Please have someone contact me.

I am still waiting on a response

I had a credit card through chase and united airlines for over 1 year closed it a couple of months ago. They can not find the account! Despite that it has a balance due to me only $19 but still why should chase get an extra $19 of mine?

rep #1 on hold for 5 mins then transferred

rep #2 also unable to help on hold for 10 mins in transfer

rep #3 Not sure what to do transferring to a supervisor on hold for 10 minutes then disconnected

called back directly on hold 7 mins

rep #4 starts reading me information from an amazon credit card that is not mine but someone else who has the same last name as mine but different first name, transferred put on hold another 10 mins

rep #5 Emmanuel the incompetent in the fraud department this time. Insists that my acct #, name, address, social yield nothing that even though the card is cancelled they would be able to see it. Says he'll try the debit department it is not a debit card! But claims to try everything and I don't have a card. I tell him I have a letter from them on Chase letter head showing the customer service number I called informing me of the balance. that I have a scan of the Chase credit card, bills for the chase credit card even an Equifax report showing my chase account. He does not care, I am advised to go to a chase bank, the closest one to me is a 3 hour drive. I point out the absurdity of driving 6 hours when I can email or fax him information he does not care. This is the only step! Now I'm sure if I were to show up at a chase bank they could help me with a chase credit card issued through united airlines? Yeah right! thanks for nothing chase I guess you get to keep my $19.

### chase. These mother###ers get handouts from the feds using OUR tax money, but when the common people get in a bind, they just ### 'em.

I say ### the credit card companies, I like to see what they would do if NOBODY paid back what they owed.

It's time for the pitchforks and torches.

JPMorgan Chase unwarranted shutdowns

My Chase credit card was shut down, unexpectedly and for unwarranted reasons, for the third time. This practice is unacceptable.
Among other hardships (the need to reschedule all recurring payments, payments of late fees, finding and using alternate funding while abroad, loss of rewards) it created the following nightmarish scenarios: (1) being stranded with inability to buy gasoline in the middle of a long car trip, (2) revocation of domestic car insurance while abroad, (3) inability to handle emergency medical payments while abroad, (4) inability to make purchases and pay bills while abroad. Similar experiences are reported by other Chase credit card customers on these web pages.
The unwarranted reasons stated for shutting down the card turned out to be: (1) a legitimate online purchase done by my wife, (2) an unauthorized charge from German company via PayPal, and (3) an unauthorized charge of 1 cent by a company in England. The first two did not invoke change of the credit card number, the third one did. The Chase action regarding the third incident is especially unwarranted, since all indications are that the charge was made by “robocalling.” There was no record of the expiration date or the card security code for this transaction.
I request Chase decision makers to implement effective security procedures that work! This is imminently possible. For starters, I am requesting a back-up credit card that will get automatically activated when the primary card will be – for whatever reason – shut down. I also request that the security procedures will be revised and implemented in such a way that unwarranted shutdowns and changes of card numbers will not occur.
Please help me. Write to Mr. Gordon A. Smith, Chief Executive Officer, Chase Credit Card Services, P.O.Box 15295, Wilmington, DE [protected]. Let him know, in no uncertain terms, that there is no substitute for true quality. The practice of shutting down credit cards and changing their numbers for unwarranted reasons leads to immense hardships, losses, and liabilities to us, the customers. As such, it is unacceptable. Additionally, there are better ways to implement security. The Chase Credit Card Services should be using them.

JPMorgan Chase credit card apr increase

My wife and I had a wamu platinum visa, have been holders of this credit card for the past 7 years, have excellent credit, pay our bills ontime and pay more than the minimum balance. During this recent financial crises, chase bought out wamu and our credit card account with it. They have since increased our apr from 7% to 29.99%. We are dumbfounded and angry.
We carry a 9, 000.00 dollar balance on that card, having transferred balances from other cards because the apr was favorable. Now, we're struggling to pay off the balance and are getting hit with 200.00 dollar finance charges each month.
We have contacted chase 8 times over the past month, with no response except to pay off the balance.

Who do we have to contact to get something done? We know allot of other people are in the same situation.

Just spoke with Chase to cancel my two cards due to the same ridiculous APR hike to 29.99%. Both CSR and Supervisor was stoic and rude. 30% APR? That is a ridiculous and inappropriate APR to be charging. I will no longer be a CHASE customer nor do I advise anyone to bank with Chase based on their lack of courtesy and the poor manner in which they treat their customers not to mention their unethical policies. Being a WAMU customer for over 12 years, you would think they would show some compassion for their loyal customers and at least consider customer's record and history into account instead of bullying their way to riches. Now that they are one of the largest banks if not THE largest bank, they will use their leverage and power to take advantage of their customers. But I will no longer be a victim of their wrath...I'm taking my loyalty elsewhere. GOODBYE CHASE!

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I had a WAMU card for 9 years at 9% interest and now it is 27.99% from being late one time-due to the DUE DATE changing w/out notification. WHAT? They are bankrupting people. I called they were rude and did not care. Who and waht can be done? There HAS to me some federal laws concerning this. Who governs the credit cards?

I'm in the exact situation. I also had a WaMu card and when Chase swithed over the put me on paperless statements which caused me to be late, charged me a late fee of $39 and increased my interest rate to 29.99%. Now I can't afford to pay my bill each month. I only have a $5, 800 balance so I'll never get it paid off now. The interest charges are $134 plus a min fee which will very slowly take my balance down. I fear that I'm going to have to file bankruptsy because I've been laid off and other creditors are doing the same. This was their intentional mistake to get more money from me. I tried talking with a supervisor but he said that there was nothing he could do about it. What is our country coming too? There won't be much left.

JPMorgan Chase not refunding money due

while doing my online banking on the 18th of may, i noticed to ATM withdrawals on my account from the 16th for 100.00 and 20.00 plus ATM fees totaling 10.00. the withdrawals were at the local market here. we never use non bank ATM's. plus i was out of town and have proof. i called the bank, explained the situation, was told by the clerk that they'd send me a blue envelope and form, to fill it out with my story and send it in via fax at the bank. Plus they said they'd credit my account for 130.00 . 4 days came and went, and nothing in the mail OR my account. so i called the bank. i was told less than 48 hours after the call they denied my claim. They never sent me the paperwork, never asked my side of it, never asked for my proof, NOTHING. today i've spoken to 4 supervisors and they are reopening the case, but i have to wait 5 working days for the credit, and if they deny the claim AGAIN then i'm out 130.00. i make 970.00 a month, so 130.00 is a big deal! plus, if they go over my account, they'll see i NEVER use any ATM except the one at the bank because of the fees. we're switching to Wells Fargo. either that or we're putting our money under the mattress.

I had a similar problem with them, someone took money from an ATM, and chase denied my claim about 40 mins after I filed a claim, they said my case will not even be investigated because by their guidelines its not eligible to be investigated. I am still calling them every day but no results yet, its been 20 days already. People, stay away from chase, your money is not safe in that bank. their claims dep sucks big time, WAMU was the best bank ever, chase is the worst.

I was in the same situation, I sued Chase in Small Claims court for treble damages and won my case easily - you should do the same.
It seems to be Chase policy in cases of ATM fraud to accuse the account owner of making the disputed withdrawals themselves and put the burden of proof on you.
Their policy is in short: YOU ARE GUILTY UNTIL YOU PROVE TO US YOU ARE INNOCENT.
Now Chase is a powerful Corporation but they still don't get to change one of the most basic laws of our great country - everyone is INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. This means that if Chase accuses you, they have to produce EVIDENCE to support their accusation.
Research the 'Electronic Funds Transfer Act' and sue Chase for treble damages in Small Claims court - if you are innocent, you will have no problem winning your case as I did, I got my money back plus costs and expenses plus damages - Chase will be paying for my next vacation.

JPMorgan Chase racism

I visited the branch this week and had to make a withdraw because the ATM was not working again (another story), as I approached the counter and asked to make a withdraw from my account, I was handed a withdraw slip asked to fill out the details and return it to the cashier.
Nothing strange in that how ever the slip I was handed was in Spanish, I DO NOT SPEAK OR READ SPANISH, when I commented this fact to the cashier, her comment was” it doesn’t matter fill it out any way”. When I asked for help the cashier made me feel so small and pathetic, and as I left the bank I felt so dejected.

I have just gone through US citizenship and one of the main requirements it to be able to read and write in ENGLISH, not Spanish or any other languages. So why is Chase Bank requiring all its customers to be fluent in Spanish?

I have banked all round the world using many different languages and have never been belittled by any of them, until now.

Oh you have a mexican/greek friend...then it's OK to sound racist.

At least be honest and admit it without having to add in that you "have a friend" of said race - like saying that cancels it out or something.

JPMorgan Chase credit card rate increase

I have had a credit card with chase since 1984, and am in good standing. Due to medical expenses I have had to carry a balance lately, and pay around two times the minimum balance monthly. I have a very good credit rating. I just received a form letter type statement from Chase telling me that they are going to over double my interest rate in July. I am enraged, and have have decided to cash in a CD, and actually transfer what is left on the balnce to a credit card that actually has a higher rate than my chase card at this time. I am mad, and I am not going to give chase another cent of my money. I have another credit card with Chase that carries no balance and I am also closing that account. I know that it will tweek my credit rating, but tough. This is a principle thing for me, but just think if everyone who was being ripped off by chase would figure out a way to close all their accounts with Chase. We need to figure out ways of not being victims of companies that believe they have us over a barrel. Sometimes it is worth spending a little to stand up for what is right. I am disabled and living on a fixed income right now, but I refuse to be a victim of Chase Manhattan.

JPMorgan Chase customer rip off - fax fee payoff quote

I have a mortgage loan from Chase Home Finance for about 1 year. I am in the process of refinancing through Bank of America. Now Chase decides to charge me the consumer for the pay off quote the new bank wants from them. Apparently the policy of Chase is to charge the customer $30 each time a 3rd party requests a Pay Off Quote. The catch is that when the
3rd party calls for a pay off quote, the only option is to enter a FAX number .
The bean counters in the new bank want to be absolutely certain of the pay off quote, so they
request this three times. And I am stuck with the bill for $90 . This is certainly a reward for not missing a single payment and always being on time.
Life is truly rewarding for being right! Meanwhile, I nominate the MBA wizard at Chase Home Finance for whipping up this FAX fee idea along with the Phone Tree for the pay off quote ( they should call it the money tree) where the option for the 3rd party is a FAX.

We consumers are really getting ripped off by the Bankers. First our Tax Dollars are used to bail them out and we still end up with those tacked up charges. Meanwhile the Corrupt Executives are laughing all the way to an offshore bank account!

Oh and also, I asked the personal banker, Corlin to call me when he verified who authorized these charges. He said he would find out and call me. Did he call? NO
Then I called the district manager of the Tulsa Branches, and was told she has a cell phone and will be contacting me from it. They would not give me her number, nor did she return
my call. Thanks again Chase for your lies. I may be contacting the BBB and our governor on this issue.

Today, December 6th. I went in Chase Bank in Utica Square, Tulsa OK, and requested a payoff. The personal banker told me there was no fee. I then see a $60 fascimile fee on my payoff. He called someome to verify. Then I was told that I called in and requested this 2 times in October and was told then I would be charged $30. This is not accurate at all. I am so mad. This is why I am changing banks. They have alot of hidden fees that you are not aware of until you ask for it in writing. Payoff, so forth. I am afraid to call and ask a question over the phone, they may charge me $20 to do that as well. Needless to say, Chase Bank in Tulsa OK is the worst bank I have ever ever been with. We are changing everything we have with them to another bank. Honesty is a big thing with me, and when you try to hide things just to make the almight dollar. I don't agree with that at all.

Chase sucks! Just got that fee as well. If we assume that this is fully automated, and that a human does not have to intervene it probably tied up the fax line for 30 seconds, assuming it is a one page fax. That being said, that would work out to $3600 per hour. Or if we assume someone had to do something, perhaps it took 5 minutes - which would be $360 per hour. Wouldn't feel so ripped off, if they actually spent that money to hire more people, but you know this is the cherry on the whipped topping of some bank executives cake. Sorry for the rant - anyone from Chase care to address this?

Chase charges customers $30 just to make a fax. Period. This is gouging. There is no justification or excuse. Customers have no choice but to pay the gouge fee. Chase will not allow attorneys to request payoff quotes at closing like nearly every other mortgage company does. Chase gouges. That is what it thinks of its customers.

JPMorgan Chase refinance

We paid a 350.00 non refundable fee to start our loan process. We have excellent credit and over 50 % equity in our home. We have had our loan with WaMu for 7 years. We started the process in January 2009 with the loan closing date was not till April 23. We were told every thing was "good" for our refinance to a 20 year 4.75%loan. We provided all documents requested, We did not hear from our loan officer until April 16th, Again everything was "good".
On April 22nd we received a call saying he needed a road maintenance agreement, which I scrambled to get. Then He said he needed something called "By law"s attached to it, I never got an exact description of what it was. He said he would file for an exception and an extension . He did this the day AFTER the closing date and sent an email that said the loan was denied because the loan was too old.I copied every email correspondence and typed a letter with documents showing how our loan was handled [ or not handled] The next letter I get is one saying the loan was denied for "insufficient value or collateral-unable to verify identity." This is not what we were told from our local bank. We really feel that this was due to the incredible amount of loans they are trying to process and ours was not a priority since they had nothing to gain by reducing our rate and they had offered a low fee loan which is another story in and of itself. So they got our $350.00 and continue to hold our 6.125 % loan. We were taken and I want to tell as many people as possible after all they took my tax dollars too!

We applied for a refi in December 2008 with WAMU. Our credit score is over 820 and we have over 50% equity. Immediately after applying, Chase took over WAMU. For 5 months they kept asking for more and more documents, some on the ridiculous side. Nevertheless, we provided all documents requested and were constantly told there was no problem with the application. After 5 months we received a form letter telling us our application was rejected because of "inadequate or improper collateral." I started making phone calls and eventually worked my way up to the supervisor of the underwriters -- the people who make these decisions. He told me that the rejection was a mistake. There was nothing wrong with our collateral, but they were rejecting the application anyway because our income dropped in 2008. Except our income was still more than adequate to meet all our modest obligations. Since I am a lawyer, I started drafting a complaint to sue Chase. Before I had a chance to file it, I received a letter from a different department of Chase basically saying they knew they blew it and wanted a chance to start over. Long story short, the former WAMU people dropped the ball and never filed the proper paper work with Fanny May to extend the interest rate lock-in when the bank extended it tfor us. As a result, Fanny Mae would not insure the loan so Chase had to find a way to reject the loan. They knew they would lose in court, so they offered to start a new application with no costs whatsoever, and to buy-down the rate for us to approximate our original loan. They had our house re-appraised and everything was moving along when they decided to have the house appraised again (within a week of the first appraisal) and, surprise surprise, it appraised for 20% lower! In a week! And based on the crappiest comps in the crappiest neighborhoods. It is now 9 months since our original application with WAMU and we are still waiting. And waiting. And waiting. If this second round crashes and burns, I will be seeking similarly situated people for major lawsuit. Stay tuned.

You told my story. They contacted me in Jan 2009 for a $750.00 fee on my credit card and then approved it in April 2009. They had the home appraised and we have almost 65% equity after recent adjustments. Now they won't return phone call or anything. I have contacted the federal authorities and filed a complaint. Contact the " Comptroller of the currency, administrator of national banks in Houston Texas. You can file with your state as this is a national bank.

JPMorgan Chase lost title

I had a 4 year loan with Chase Auto Finance for my Saturn. I paid the loan off 5 months early. Chase sent me a letter confirming that the loan was paid in full but never sent me my title. I called Chase and got different answers each time i called. All they could say was when my title was mailed to me... I told them that something as important as a title should have been sent "signature required". I have no proof they sent it. I called DMV who said i could get a replacement title for $25. I called Chase back and got a nice lady who said she will order a replacement title for me by the end of the month. The end of the month came and i received a letter stating...

"We are unable to complete your request. Chase no longer holds an interest in the above referenced vehicle."

So in the end i have to spend $25 and most of my day at DMV to get a replacement title... ARE U KIDDING ME?

I paid off my Chase auto loan in Sept. 2022. They said the title was sent out in Sept. but I never received it. Apparently, they do not put a tracking number on such an important document. I have to apply for a duplicate title and spend a day off work and pay $50.00. This is absolute incompetence and parsimonious on Chase's part. Very disappointed.

JPMorgan Chase customer service no longer an option due to & tough economic times

I have been a Chase Mastercard card member for five years, and I have never been late or missed a payment in that time. I recently changed personal checking accounts. This past month, I entered my new routing number and account number and submitted a payment for the full balance of my account four days before the due date. The payment showed up in my account and I thought all was well.

Then, one day after the due date (5 days later), the payment was reversed. Apparently I made an error when typing in the routing number of my new account. As a result of the reversed payment, I was one day late in paying the card, and a $39 fee was applied to my account.

I called to see if they would reverse the late charge. I thought it would be no problem. Once before, when I was moving and a bill got lost, I was late on a Discover Card payment, and they reversed their $25 charge quickly and easily. Chase, however, told me that "in these tough economic times" they were unable to reverse charges. Now, as both a card holder and a middle-class tax payer, I am very offended by this statement. My money already bailed out Chase Bank, and I have been a good customer for five years, without a problem or complaint. To top it off, the customer representative immediately assumed that I would not pay off my account and acted like she was going to hand my information over to a collection agency. I am insulted by the assumption that I would not pay my debts.

I will close the credit card account tomorrow, assuming my payment for the full balance processes by then. I will also never again use any Chase product or service again. Chase was willing to lose a customer over a $39 late fee. If you are considering them for anything, I urge you not to. Their customer service policies are so poor that they deserve to close their doors.

JPMorgan Chase stalling on refinancing my mortgage

Chase formly Washington Mutual has been delaying and delaying my home loan refinancing. I started my loan process in Jan, now it's May, and my refinancing is still not done. They keep telling me to fill out more forms, making up new rules. My mistake was properly refinancing with the same bank, they probably think they are losing money once I've refinanced my loan. Maybe I should refinance with another bank now, take my business elsewhere. Afterall, I am the one paying them mortgage every month.

I was trying to cash in my government bonds and the Assistant Branch Manager Debra Phillip started to debate with me aloud, about not having an account at Chase, and therefore I couldn't cash the bonds there. I tried to tell her that these were government bonds, and that can be cashed in any bank. Finally after a period of ten minutes she decided to make a call to find out, that she was wrong and that I could cash them. I was embarrassed and humiliated.

Same exact thing on my loan. Started In January and am still calling him every day. Processor was fired, you are one of 40, 000 people that applied. I was sent an approval letter 8 weeks ago, still not closed.

Similar deal here, but finally got ours through. We started the process in December with Chase (ours was with Chase, not WAMU), the loan officer either left or was laid-off or fired when WAMU joined Chase. Then the delays and additional request for the same paperwork started coming in. Finally I started bugging them everyday, threatened to pull investments and all of my business out fo their bank, and within 2 weeks we finally closed. But I had to bug (e-mail and phone calls) the Loan Manager and the person handling the loan every day. Only good thing out of the process, and complaining, was that the original locked rate of 5% was reduced to 4.625%. That plus we had most of the fee refunded. So they get to keep our business for awhile, but I was less than 24 hours from pulling it.

JPMorgan Chase beware

Beware : My Financial Advisor at the Chase Branch on 51st and Lexington in NYC closed out my IRA and bought bonds and equities without my knowledge or permission. Seems that this kind of thing is ok with Chase. Kind of surprised that I didn't have to sign anything before he could do something like that. I'll be moving my money to another bank once this mess is cleaned up.

JPMorgan Chase rude customer service

I have WAMU visa card, which is taken over by Chase bank now. Chase has converted WAMU home page to "Chase" during march 7, 8, 9, 2009. I had set up online payment since I had WAMU card, but Chase has changed it, as a result my March statement payment didn't go thru, and chase charged $ 39.0 late fee + Finance charge. When contacted customer service, call wdiverted to Phillipines. Customer service Rep was very rude and not courteous and didn't care to answer any question. When asked She didn't provide her Rep ID number, she didn't tell her last name, which city she is located. She didn't accept complaint over the phone. she didnt provide address where to send written complaint. She didn't waive late fee + finance charge and kept arguing on each sentence and humilating the customer, as this is all customers fault. if Chase website was not working for 3 day. and she cannot do any thing in this situation.

I have other credit cards like Discover card, Amex card, Wachovia Visa, Capital One Master card and their customer service Reps have been help ful and couteous and easy to do business. I shall not recommend Chase Cards to any body. They have out sourced customer service in Asia, it sucks.

When my WAMU card changed to chase they changed terms on my account to raise interest rates. One month later they will close your account. after your acct is closed they will again send you an opt out form to send to stop the increase in your interest rate, but since your acct has been closed by them you are not eligible to stop the interest rate change. This is fraudulent because as a payment paying customer you still have rights per the federal trade commission consumer protection division. Do like me and pay it off so they can't use the interest to pay their CEO's millions. I have complained to the FTC but I still haven't found the person to send all my physical evidence of what happened to me. I used registered returned receipt mail for all my correspondence. JPMorgan Chase are crooks. v/r q

just for future reference dont be shy, just say ' sorry i can't understand you, is there someone else i can speak to?
I always do, sometimes even ask directly 'can i speak to an american?'

Most times, you will get transferred to one.. i can never understand what these reps are saying and not only that they seem to have a different view of how to 'help' the customer than someone of my own culture.

Any time you phone the bank its a hassle, so at least, if im paying good money, i'm not gonna settle for some hard to understand & rude foreigner.

JPMorgan Chase terrible customer service

Fraud dept. calls me to say that they have put a "hold" on my account for questionable purchases. Purchase were legitimate that they put hold on, but for unauthorized charges from www.smartsavings.com in the amount of $29.95 + $1 every two weeks, they say they can not stop this! This is the "fraud" department! I asked them to google www.smartsavings.com to see the scams that this company is up to and they just shrugged this off.
Terrible customer service. They say the only thing I can do is cancel my card and get another one!

Chase needs to get act together!

I had the impression that Chase was a good credit card company. Couple months ago i had to do a cash advance for no more than $200. Couple days after I made a payment covering that cash advance and any possible finance charges. I just found out that the only way of paying for a cash advance is paying the whole amount of the credit. In other words, if you have an outstanding balance for $2000 dollars on you account and you have a cash advance of $100, to be able to pay for that cash advance you need to pay for the whole amount of you balance. They are charging me 24% and what initially was a cash advance of $200 became almost $500.

I have a small credit with Chase Bank, and every time I get charged with fees, because I pay them ahead. I called them on it and they took off the fees.
This happened twice - since they merged or de-merged with GEMoney. This is not my problem and dont need to hear it.

Now I havent received a statement for June and I paid them, and charged me again not 39.00 but 29.00. I always pay them the first of the month, but didnt get a statement this time again. I did sent a payment of 50 due on 7/12/08 again ahead of time, with those 29.00 charges from past month which we discussed was paid by phone.
I didnt call them to take it off because something needs to be done about it.

I am disheartened by all this - unfortunately we need banks but if you dont watch it carefully they scam you. Had this with the BofA, but they rectified everything and I did get a check back from them - but again it is still a mistake bythe clerk at the window.
I learned how to really check everything with banking as its not as it used to be.
Please, hire some people who do it right and dont charge customers extra when they make the mistakes.
Sincerely,
Inez Jonathans

The chase bank took over for washington mutual not too long ago. Last month I realized I had forgotten to mail my payment in time for it to be received by the due date of 4/7/09. I decided on 4/7/09 to make the payment by phone so it wouldn't be late. I called, made the payment by phone and got charged $9.95. Today, when looking at my may bill, I realized...

JPMorgan Chase insufficient funds fee

This happened to me several times. I often use my debit card for transactions, like buying lunch or stuff. Problem arises when I have low balance, I first check the ATM and check my balance before I use the card. having checked the balance, I used my card for another transaction. Now problem arises when previous debit card transactions do not reflect in several days, and when they reflect, my balance become negative and I get charged for insufficient fund. The thing I don't like is that the balance shown in the ATM does not reflect the "current" balance. There are still some pending transactions and for whatever reason, they don't get reflected quickly. My other debit card is like real time. Whenever I use it, it quickly reflects in the balance on the ATM.

Chase took over Wamu and my credit card balance. With WAMU I signed up for a payment reminder so I would not forget to make my payment. This worked very well for me until Chase took over, switched the system and I did not receive a reminder. When it dawned on me I hadn't made the payment I logged on and discovered not only had I been assessed a $39 late...

JPMorgan Chase forced foreclosure

In October of 2005, my father who refinanced with Chase Home Finance, passed away. Unfortunately he passed away intestate. He had made a payment to Chase the day before he died. After the his bank learned of his death, they froze his accounts. Money could go in but not out.

I had spoken to Chase from day one. Sent them close to a dozen death certificates. The mortgage was not paid for the 3 months I awaited to be appointed administratrix. Finally in Feb/March of 06 I was appointed administratrix. During the 3 months the mortgage was not paid. Phone calls to me were on a daily basis from Chase. I would receive anywhere from 4-10 calls per days. I told them over and over that I had to wait to be appointed before I could access my father's bank accounts and pay the mortgage.

April of 06 I made a payment from my personal account. Chase accepted it. Upon accessing my fathers account and closing it, I opened up a new account and put that money in there. I went online to chase epay and logged into my fathers mortgage account. I made a payment of 11K and change. I received and email stating that they had received processed and applied the payment to my account.

The money was taken out of my account. Later that same month, I made another payment to the mortgage, this was debited then returned to my checking account. This went on until July of 06. The phone calls kepts coming in multiple times a day. Depending on who you talked to it was yes we see the 11k payment or no we dont. All depended on who you spoke with.

July of 06 after attempting yet again to pay the mortgage, Chase called and said, unless you're going to pay all your back payments, stop sending us money, we will just return it.

I have filed a suit against chase due to their incompetance. They have tried around 4 times to auction my house and each time I was able to stop it. Chase has done nothing but bleed me financially, physically, and mentally. I have yet to scatter my father's ashes and put him to rest due to this on going battle with chase.

If you have gone through anything similar or even have had bad experiences with chase home finance, please call me at [protected] or email me at [protected]@dtccom.net.

I have a hearing coming up on the 15th of this month. If you'd like to participate in that hearing as Chase has clearly shown a pattern of fraud and deception and also mishandling monies, please contact me immediately to talk to!

Let's show this BIG BANK that we "LITTLE PEOPLE" are not going to back down without a fight. Let's tell them that they are wronging people because of their incompetance and greed!
