Charlotte Russe sales associates

Visited the Charlotte Russe location at the Crabtree Valley Mall today with a friend... We both purchased multiple articles of clothing. We were cashed out and my friend commented on how the totals we were charged did not seem right. After checking our receipt we realized that we were both overcharged by more than $10. We went back to the associate and told her that something had not rung up right. First she ignored us and then she told us to get in line behind someone else WHO HAD JUST WALKED UP TO THE COUNTER WHILE WE WERE SPEAKING TO THIS ASSOCIATE. So we let the cashier cash out the other girl. When we returned to be waited on the sales associate refused to help us again! We had to literally pull our items out of the bags, show her the prices on the cloths and then the prices on the receipt! When she finally did refund our money, she intentionally took her time! Her manager stood behind her on another register during this whole process, ignoring the situation as if nothing was happening. But it makes sense that they were both ignoring the situation because we were INTENTINALLY OVERCHARGING customers and were planning on pocketing the "extra money" at the end of their shift. Handed cashier at store my money she took money behind register than told me I didn't give her enough when I handed her exact cash. I hope she gets caught. You don't steal money from people. Just not right.

Charlotte Russe rude cashier

I was shopping in Charlotte Ruse around 8:15 tonight, I am aware that the mall closes at 9, but I worked in the mall until 8 so that was the only time I could go in there to shop. The cashier was extremely rude. I was trying to talk to her and be friendly, but she wouldn't even speak to me. I think you should have good customer service anytime day or night.

Charlotte Russe rude handling of exchange without receipt.

I recently went to a Charlotte Russe store in Arlington Texas to exchange two dresses that I had purchased about a week prior. Unfortunately I had misplaced my receipt and could not find it anywhere. But being that the tags were still attached and the merchandise was never worn I figured I could simply exchange it for something else in their store. What happened next is absolutely unbelievable. When I arrived to the store and explained the situation to the cashier she was so rude and disrespectful in telling me that without my receipt they could not accept my exchange. I have been a long time customer of Charlotte Russe and had never ever had this problem nor was I ever treated so rudely. When I asked to speak to a manager in order to get a better explanation, the manager was equally as rude as the cashier. She was unfriendly and not helpful at all. She told me that if I wanted to complain she would gladly give me the corporate number to call and complain. I left the store completely appalled and called the customer service corporate number for Charlotte Russe. Sadly I did not have any better luck with that. The lady that answered the phone in the customer service department was just as rude and disrespectful as the employees in the store. She could not explain the Charlotte Russe policy for returns and exchanges to me. She simply said it varies from store to store. Now their store policy is printed on their receipts and posted in their stores and it reads as follows... Refunds and exchanges within 30 days with original purchase receipt and tags attached. Price adjustments will be honored within 14 days of original purchase date. Refunds without a receipt require a valid ID and will be refunded to a non-transferable merchandise credit card. With that said I am absolutely disgusted with how Charlotte Russe treats their customers!

Charlotte Russe wrong item received

I did an order on 8 / 17 / 13, ordered the crochet cutie skinny belt trio in brown combo and the bows combo. I ordered it specially because i loved the bow combo and today i received a different order. I received the brown trio and a blush trio which is totally different from the bow one that i ordered, i noticed that they replaced even online the bow from the blush using the same item number so when i checked and complained about my ordered they said that this was what i ordered, i sent them a picture showing the item that i ordered and i still waiting for their answer because they said that i ordered it when i know exactly what i ordered, i am very dissapointed about that!

Charlotte Russe declined order

I placed an order with Charlotte Russe online and payed via Paypal. I saw the order confirmation page (thank you for your order, etc.) after submitting my purchase, and received an order confirmation from Paypal. I used a coupon code and got even more discounts because I purchased the items while they were having a sale. I placed the order 2 weeks ago and NEVER received my order. I called Charlotte Russe and spoke with a customer service representative who told me it was Paypal's fault and that I should speak with them. Long story short, Paypal told me there is no issue with my bank or Paypal--the problem was that Charlotte Russe declined to authorize my order TWICE.
I called Charlotte Russe back and all they could tell me was that they didn't know why the order didn't go through (hmm gee, perhaps because you declined it?) and that they would like to give me a 20%+free shipping code. This was after the representative offered me 15%+free shipping in addition to telling me this whole issue was my fault...MY FAULT? I was transferred to her manager who then gave me the additional 5% discount, who I might add was also just as "clueless" about why the order never went through. So yet again, CR messed up my order. In addition, I was never notified that my package would NEVER arrive, and my money for the order is being held in some "pending" limbo on Paypal for an order that CR apparently says was never placed. The items and sale that were available at the time of initial purchase, are no longer available. Honestly, the only reason I shopped there online again was to use the coupon they gave me to make up for their last screw up, with hopes that this time would be different. I was VERY mistaken. Waste of 50 minutes with customer service, Charlotte Russe needs to get themselves together because their service online and over the phone leaves VERY much to be desired.

Charlotte Russe customer service

Charlotte Russe has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I visited the location in maplewood mall 5 times now, and it gets worse every time. I guess that's what happens when you hire a bunch of asian kids. Not only do I refuse to go to another store of theirs, but I also refuse to go to any mall that has a charlotte russe store.

Your complaint doesnt stand very well on its own considering the fact that you are pointing out the Asian factor in the store. It would be better if you pointed out behaviors instead since behaviors don't specify a certain nationality, ethnicity, or a particular demographic. Based on your complaint it appears to be that you do not like Asians very much, resulting in a poor experience for you. It could also be that you dislike them so much that you were not so nice to them to begin with. Complaining customers walk into stores and act like they can do whatever they want because they are a payin but, don't realize that we're all human and in order to get respect you need to give respect. Your Asian comment does not earn you a single ounce of respect.

Charlotte Russe employee swiped my s3 galaxy

I wad with my daughter at north riverside mall today around 6 when she convinced me to buy a blouse from Charlotte russe. we walked to the back and waited for assistance to get a dressing room unlocked..an employee saw my phone case and paid us a compliment and asked where I had bought it from.. we had also shown her my 13 year olds s3 phone as well..Lorain the employee mentioned she also had the same phone and loved or cases.. then she unlocked the room, my daughter walked in and placed her phone on the seat in the room..tried on her blouses then walked out forgetting her phone on the seat...now this is a locked dressing room so the door is only then reopened by the employee who walks in short after we walk to the register to pay and clears the room and notices that my daughter left unwanted blouses and a cup on the seat. big mistake because instead of the young lady returning the phone to us since we were still in Charlotte russe... she keeps it for herself.. we realize the phone was left behind after we got home and called out to the manager Hilda who tells me Lorain had gone home but Will call her anyways..when she returns my call and very rudely tells me that Lorain denies seeing the phone but thanks me for leaving my trash behind..which was under the seat where my phone was at.. which only means she saw my phone swiped out for herself and failed to turn it in..My daughter was devastated and was in tears for her whole life was in the phone.. I know we Willl never see her phone . again but it's not right that this employee stole it

Charlotte Russe horrible customer service

This store is an absolute nightmare. The fabric is cheap and tears easily. Most of the clothes at this store are tacky. And although most of the items are cheap-normal priced for the most part, they overcharge some of the ridiculous pieces. I cringe at the name of this store. After not one, but TWO absolutely HORRIBLE experiences here, I cringe every time walking past. I never walk into this store anymore because no good ever comes from it.
My first situation was with a dress. My homecoming dance was in less than a week and I still didn't have a dress. I went to Charlotte Russe and found one that I thought was okay-looking. It was about fifty dollars, so it was moderately priced. There were only three of them in my size though, and they ALL had make up on them. Assuming I'd be able to get them out at home, I reluctantly purchased the dress with the least amount of make up on. That was my first mistake. I got home, and eventually started becoming iff-y about the dress because as I tried it on in my own house it didn't look as flattering, and I could see that the dress wrinkled up a lot. I also realized that there was WAY MORE make up on it then I'd seen in the store. On the DAY OF homecoming, I went back to the store to return that dress. I talked to a lady who looked maybe over forty, and told her I wanted to return my dress, which still had tags on it, and I showed her my receipt. She checked the dress, and said that she couldn't take it back because of the make up all over it. Keep in mind, I don't even wear make up, so that couldn't have been mine, AND it was there when I tried it on in stores. I told her that the make up all over it was one of the reasons I was returning it. She obviously didn't believe me, because she told me that I wore it. I told her I didn't wear it, and that I was returning it because it didn't fit me right, and because of the make up stains on it. She then REPEATEDLY and CONTINUOUSLY, told me that I had worn it and that it was obvious. She said it with a lot of attitude as well. She even had the nerve to tell me that they would never put out clothes with stains on them, because those kinds of things go straight to a donation box. OBVIOUSLY NOT though, seeing as ALL the dresses had make up stains on them. When I told her I didn't wear it out, she responded, " Well. Obviously someone who wears a LOT of make up tried it on." And I just stood there dumbfounded, thinking... Obviously...
She THEN, called up a girl behind her, and said with a scoff, " Hey ______ look at this dress. This girl is trying to return a dress with THIS dirt on it." She did this RIGHT in front of me. I finally fired back at her saying, "I did NOT wear this dress out. I bought this for my homecoming, which is TONIGHT, but because of YOUR store, I have to find a new dress before my dance." She glared at me, proceeded to give me even MORE attitude, and told me she'd refund it "just this once", as if it was my fault. Going back was my next mistake.
My friend told me that she wanted a specific pair of leggings from Charlotte Russe for Christmas, and since she's so close to me, I decided to go back and get it for her. I figured the chances of something bad happening AGAIN had to be small, but I was wrong. Never before had a clerk neglected to give me my receipt, so I never expected to have to check for a receipt. It turns out, that the saleslady FORGOT to put my receipt in my bag, like I'd asked her to do. About half an hour later, I looked through the bag, and realized that she hadn't put my receipt in, and that there were two giant holes in the leggings I'd purchased. I went back to the store WITHIN that hour, and told the lady that I wanted to return the leggings because they were destroyed and that the lady I'd bought them from hadn't given me a receipt. She responded, " You didn't get a receipt? NO. You GOT a receipt." I was in the middle of explaining that I hadn't gotten my receipt, when she RUDELY interrupted saying, " No, no, no. You DID get a receipt, " then she turned the other way to help a different customer, without saying ANYTHING to me. I then tried to talk to another employee there about it, but she had the same attitude and tone of disbelief in my story. I then asked to speak to the manager, who also obviously didn't believe my story, and sent me back out.
This is really long and probably no one is going to read this, but I just HAD to let this out. This is the absolute worst customer "service" I've ever received. It isn't even service. I think Charlotte Russe should do something different with their policy and stop just hiring anybody. All the workers there have been nothing but immensely rude to me, and after the legging and homecoming dress incidents, I will NEVER go back again. No one in my family is going there either, and I have strayed and warned my friends about them as well. I'm not just judging off of those two incidents either, because I've had MANY incidents beforehand from RUDE charlotte russe employees. It's just that the two I shared with you are the FINAL straws, and I will never go back again.

Charlotte Russe rude staff/ manager

I had a negative experience with one of Charlotte Russe's staff in Manassas, Virginia. This branch is located in Manassas Mall, Virginia. The door was open to the public and I did not know that the store was already "closed". There was no visible sign that says that the store was already closed. Most of the stores in the mall were open anyway. I went in, looked around and asked if I could fit a sweater. One staff even asked me if she could help me with anything. I said, "Thank you, but I'm fine." A few minutes later, an African-American lady (The manager? Cashier?) told me, "Do you work here? Are you a customer? Well, she's still shopping!" She gave me a dirty look. I just said "Sorry" and returned the sweater on the rack. The lady was very rude. I would never return to this store again.

I don't know what's going on with the location at Magnolia Mall in Florence, SC but their level of courteous customer service had plummeted over the past 5 years. The staff are genuinely rude and act like they're just there for a paycheck. In the past 4 times ice had the occasion of shopping in the store in the past 3 weeks I was offered ZERO customer service. I rather drive an hour away rather than deal with poor service.

Charlotte Russe credit card fraud

Charlotte Russe is being obstructionistic and uncooperative with the Tallahssee Police Department in an investigation of unauthorized credit card purchases. Three unauthorized charges were made to my credit card totalling $1, 600 in Charlotte Russe on line purchases. The company will not release the shipping address to the police and ignores my attempted communication with the accounting/fraud department.

Charlotte Russe rude managers

The managers that work there are horrible, they are not a team and have favorites who they talk ### about with other workers, every one has their own agenda and they dont give a damn about any customer all they care is about is making a sell and that is all! They give you hours, take them away saying its because we went over hours but they maintain there 40 hours a week, which they dont use wisely because the store is always dirty, they are all filthy little scavengers, managers are extremely rude to every new hire and you cant ask for help well because they just dont care. They make associates do all the dirty work while they sit behind the register answering personal phone calls, on their personal cell phones, talking to their favorite employes. And etc. They make up new rules every day so you never know what to expect. They are all irrational humans and also they are bipolar! One day they want to write you up the next they are your best friends, listen its all bologna. And dont even think about getting a raise ha! They'll never let happen unless you have been there for 34 years, licked the managers ### then yea just maybe. If you wanna work here good luck chuck. ,

Charlotte Russe horrible workplace

I work at Charlotte Russe and thinking that this will be the best place to work at quickly changed my whole perspective of the store completely. im a new hire at the store and at first everyone was nice but leading on into the the two months that i've been there i already want to tell off the management team in the store to calm the eff down and shut the eff up. seriously, i'm always placed at the front of the store which was understandable to greet each customer as they walk in and be aware of them in case there was shoplifting. the only problem is, ever since i've been working there i'm always at the front and another thing is when im on my day off and i walk by the store i NEVER see an associate at the front of the store greeting a customer. it befuddles me how im the only one thats ever in the front and never in the back or on cash wrap.
then i always feel like the sale leads are always giving me a hard time telling me how im supposed to sell and how i need to push my sales more toward the clothes that are not on sale. and working in retail for about five years i know customers do NOT want to buy or look at clothes that costs forty dollars for a thin piece of cloth thats apparently a shirt. what really bothers me is how they always use the walkie and get mad when i dont do as i am told even when im helping a customer out finding a dress i have to excuse myself because the girl in the fitting room is calling me name twenty times in a tone where shes super fed up with me not responding even when i said i was with a customer. the walkies are damn annoying and a distraction to the benefit of my job and the customer because it so happens that this happens quite often and the company ends up losing a loyal customer because i had to do an errand for the fitting room girl.
another major thiing that got me really super annoyed and pissed off to the max was the use of my employee discount. i brought in a friend to shop because she wanted some clothes and i offered my discount. i bought the clothes for her knowing already the tips of how to use my discount but i wanted to see wat would happen if i just went for it. so i did. i ended up getting caught because my coworker in the fitting room told on me saying that she saw my friend try on the clothes that i offered to buy and pretty much i got a write up for "abusing" my discount. later that night i had to work and i had a litle talk with one of the co managers (god knows how many effing co managers this store has because i cant tell whos store manager co manager or sales lead) and she pretty much yelled at me for making this "dumb" mistake. saying how i was being dishonest and abusive to my discount and that im allowed my discount if im buying for myself or for a gift and not when my friend is in the store with me picking out her clothes. oh and also not letting my manager know that i was in the store shopping wth my friend. because this is all for loss prevention and im going to embarass the store ###. i seriously wanted to cry that night because they took it to heart that this crap i pulled was the stupidest crap ever like i was supposed to know. and then gave me a piece of paper telling me to read the policy once again.
the store sucks, i do not reccommend anyone to apply here because they treat new hires like ### and they dont even bother to care about them or even pretend that i have a life too. the girls talk amongst themselves and dont bother involving me in with them like theyre keeping secrets. i thought this was a team i was working with but it seems like its every girl for herself at the store. and you wonder why they give bad customer service is because of that crap, the walkies are too distracting and its nothing but competition of whos the prettier girl that can sell efficiently.
I ADVISE EVERYONE TO NOT APPLY FOR A JOB HERE. im a very soft spoken person but when it comes to my job i make sure customers are leaving happy with their purchases but with all this crap thats been happening to me lately i feel this is why the service is so horrible. plus they make it feel like everyone has their favorites. unfair to the work place im not happy with my job and i try to keep myself together and not lose it at work dont ever apply girls seriously. dont.

I currently work for a Charlotte Russe store and I actually agree with everything you are saying (even though your experience was a year ago). Managers and assistant managers don't seem to be on the same page -- in my district, all managers and assistant managers are former managers/asst managers of other retail stores. There isn't room for growth in this environment. In fact, in my situation right now, we've recently hired a former coworker of my assistant manager elsewhere and she was immediately bumped up to a supervisor regardless if there were other qualified senior employees.

As far as the discounts go, it is so frustrating because it seems that everyone has their own idea of what you can or cannot do with the privilege. Charlotte Russe corporation needs to educate their district managers as well as in-store authorities more regarding this. I have some managers that will allow me to get 20% clearance items, and some that don't. And yes, I too have more than a handful of higher-ups for our little store. Our "Yes I Can" policy is ridiculous - it conflicts with every other policy we have. Customers bring in returns older than 30 days, and we still say Yes We Can return it. Like, make up your damn mind, CR! We are very lenient with customers, maybe even too lenient - especially those who obviously abuse that policy by asking for a discount on a shirt with a little thread hanging out of the sleeve and whatnot. Believe me, when I leave Charlotte Russe one day I will turn around and demand the same kind of leniency I was asked to show other customers... Because as of right now, Jane Doe can come and get a price adjustment for a dress that she bought yesterday that went on sale today, and I as an employee CANNOT. What's up with that? I get your point of view regarding buying clothes for your friend - it's your money - you should be able to buy anything. But front the store point of view, they wouldn't have known if your friend gave you money or will end up giving you money afterwards. Better to just let her put things on hold and you can purchase it for her later on -- what can they say to you then?

Most stores in my mall utilize walkies. I hate them and the way my managers prioritize them over the customers we are talking to face-to-face. (Did we work for the same location? Haha!) It is rude, and unprofessional. Personally, I take off my earpiece when there is too much ruckus on it and I am speaking to someone. I will not be rude to someone I am servicing to go run and find a dress for someone calling on the phone. It's common sense!

Sometimes I wonder why my management team even hired some girls when they flat out tell me that they don't do a good job and therefore tell me to do it instead. The problem is that CR has no sense of training. They throw associates out on the floor just to have bodies covering the hot spots and expect too much out of the "good" employees with a sense of urgency. This is me. I am endlessly running the floor almost always by myself, while they just station other girls in the fitting room or on the register, sometimes even just unboxing things in the stockroom. I understand that I am a sales associate, but do they not understand that I alone cannot service the 45 parties of families, groups of girls, unattended children, and the suspicious soloists in the corners? They need to provide the training they expect out of CR employees -- every retail store is different no matter how much experience you have. If they did that, they wouldn't need to hire so many new holiday employees because they'd have more efficient employees to cover the plans and there would be BETTER employees who may be able to GROW WITHIN THE COMPANY.

The hours they schedule you are minimal -- 6-15 hours if you're lucky. If you're like me, one of the "good" employees that they can rely on, you'll somehow walk away with 20+ hours a week. Schedules are always messed up and guaranteed you're going to get a call on your day off to see if you can come in (in less than an hour) to cover a shift that wasn't even scheduled for anyone. Charlotte Russe needs to invest in a scheduling application/program because apparently their managers/asst managers can't handle all their responsibilities and get the schedules done right week after week!

One thing that Charlotte stresses is DO NOT SHARE your EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT. You are definitely not Charlotte material.

It sound like to me you just are not Charlotte Russe material. Honestly you should probably stop whining and get a job with a more relaxed environment. I have worked for the company for the past four years and I love it. The employee discount policy is explicitly stated in Employee Handbook. You knew before you did it you were wrong but you just "went for it" and now you want to whine because you got caught and got in trouble? If you were in my store you would be fired because that is STEALING! And as far as being upset because you are expected to greet customers and multi task? I mean good God where in retail have you worked for the past five years, Wal Mart. This whole post has just made you look whiny and ignorant. Do yourself and the company a favor and find somewhere else to work. You make the girls who actually want to work for the company look bad. And it is honestly sad that you are taking hours that someone else, who wants and deserves them, could have.

Charlotte Russe defective shoe

Style of high heel shoes are Klarisa P-ND. Color is Nude patent. SKU of the heels are [protected]. Wore once to go to dinner and back home. Wore mostly on carpet. Not long at all and I looked at the high heels when I got back home and on the right one the heel part is not properly attached. Its not lined up correctly. The quality of these shoes are poor. The right heel is defective and could cause injury. I would like a full refund or exchange in same value. The person who I talked to in the store was rude and she said " they are just glued on wrong, but not falling apart." To me that is a defect. Thank you so much for helping me!

Charlotte Russe broken shoes

Hi, my name is April Graham. Recently I bought some red pumps from Charlotte Russe because I was going to be in a fashion show that my cousin was hosting. To make a long story short, as I was walking in my heel just bent back like as if the shoe was made wrong or something. Then the whole heel popped as a I tried to continue to walk. I was so humiliated. It was the most embarrassing moment ever. I never threw away the heels because I was thinking maybe Charlotte Russe could take them back and replace them or at least try to fix it. Those heels were about $25 and I don't have money to just buy heels and throw them away upon a one time wear. Oh no! I don't have money like that! friday 24th of june 2011 i was visiting a charlotte russe store, and when i was there i felt very uncomfortable one of the employees an asian american woman mid to early 20's was very rude, and not welcoming at all, seem to be this way to numerous people, doesnt seem like the type of person that should be representing any kind of retail enviornment, has been in this store plenty of times and the attitude this young lady displays has not change rude and unfriendly, this has me second guessing myself about shopping at charlotte russe, other wise my time there was pleasent due to the other friendly employees who seem to be working that day.

Charlotte Russe bad customer service & leaving sensor tags on clothing

I live in St. George Utah and drove to Las Vegas NV to do some shopping ( 120 miles away), We do not have a Charlotte Ruse in our town. I went in and purchased 2 pair of pants which I love! However, the next day when I had put them on to my surprise they left a sensor tag on 1 of the pair of pants. The Lady that helped me when I brought in the pair of pants that THEY missed the sensor tag was so RUDE as if it was my fault. You should have been apologetic to me! Instead she had to look and make sure I didn't steal them... I could NOT believe what I was seeing. This happen ALL the time that I shop here weather I shop in Las Vegas NV or in California. I don't understand why it's so hard for the retail staff to take off those tags. I love the pants there but I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! Let me give you a pointer after working in customer for the past 15 years LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS and MAKE SURE THEY ARE HAPPY!

That's standard procedure to make sure you didn't steal anything. People make mistakes.

If the sensor tags get left on "all the time" then maybe you should check to make sure they're taken off before you go? "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

Customer service is a very ambiguous term. There are literally thousands of situations and definitions for it. Every customer service environment is different.

Charlotte Russe organization of store

The organization of the Store Charlotte Russe can be slightly improved. Often times it is difficult to find the necessary size of an item. In addition, items that are similar should be placed near each other because it is sometimes hard to find them. When I go to Charlotte Russe I have trouble finding the sizes I need because of this disorganization.

in retail, that's impossible to keep up with. most stores do size their items after closing, so they're in order in the morning. it's the customers that mess it up. and could you imagine if employees just stopped helping customers for an hour to resize the whole store in the middle of the day? get real.

Charlotte Russe inappropriate managerial behavior

I want to make someone aware of the behavior of the manager at the Charlotte Russe store in the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City, NY.
I have been in the store a few times, and each time the same manager made my shopping experience very uncomfortable.
Each time she was extremely rude to her employees, to the point of belittling them right in front of me and other customers. She called one girl a “###”, and cussed at her very loudly, all in front of customers.
I probably would not have reported this if it had only happened once, but I have witnessed the same behavior on three different occasions, and several people (shoppers as well as past and present employees) that I have spoken to have had the same experience as well.
Because of her behavior and terrible treatment of her employees I would never even consider applying for a job in that store, let alone shopping there.
Her treatment of employees is not only cruel and unethical, but it is also unprofessional and offensive.
Several people have tried to bring human resources in to fix them problem, as well as contact Charlotte Russe, but nothing has been done.
Letting this cruel treatment of employees continue reflects very poorly on the entire Charlotte Russe chain, and I hope that someone will finally do something to fix the problem.

I was at the Smith Haven store today. The manager was pissed off that I asked her to open another register. She called some girl and made her open. When I approached the register, they were mocking us and whispering with the manager. So sorry you lazy ### had to actually work. Welcome to the real world! Imagine the nerve of me, a paying customer, wanting to open a register when 9 people were ahead of me on a busy Saturday. How inconsiderate!
