My grandmother passed on May 11, 2016 my father is the executor of her estate. He is 73 and requested my assistance in the matter. On June 1 we submitted the Last Will and Testament, Death Certificate, Letter of Intent, Authorization for them to exchange information with me and her last statement from them. I have contacted them on at least 3 different occasions only to be directed to another fax line to send the information to and then they tried to tell me the Will had to be recorded. We are not opening an estate, Indiana law allows us to sell the property without doing so as a small estate.

I feel as if they are giving us the run around just so that they can accrue more interest and this isn't fair. We want to sell the property and reimburse them their monies but they are not cooperating so that we can accomplish this endeavor. As of my experience with them today I would say that they should not be allowed to write reverse mortgages in this or any other state. Any help that you can give us would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Elizabeth Burks

MY NAME IS GEORGIA OLIVIERI FROM LIVERPOOL N.Y. TODAY I FOUND AN ENVELOPE ON MY FRONT DOOR HAND WRITTEN "CONFIDETIAL" AND TAPED WITH PAINT TAPE. IT WAS A PRINTED SMALL PAPER FROM CHAMPION REVERSE MORTGAGE SERVICING DEPT. URGENT I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THAT I DID NOT SIGN A OCCUPANCY PROOF PAPER, IN FACT I SIGNED 2 OF THESE STATMENTS AND SENT THEM BACK, JULY 24, 2017 AND ALSO A MONTH LATER. YOUR STAFF STATED THEY DID HAVE THIS STATMENT. I FEEL A HAND WRITTEN NOTE ON MY FRONT DOOR TAPED IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE. I HAVE ALWAYS RECEIVED NOTICES IN THE MAIL. COULD YOU EXPLAIN THIS UNUSUAL PRACTICE.

In August my mother who is now 90 years old, requested from Then Current Reverse Mortgage holder Wells Fargo for Modification Payout plan of remaining Equity of approx. $30, 000.00. Well Fargo approved on August 20 and said money would be available September 1. Well about August 22 she got letter from Wells Fargo stating that her Reverse Mortgage was sold out to Champion Mortgage. Bad part is that it took effect on September 1. I've been fighting for the past 18 days and no far same BS from all people from Champion I've talked too. It up at upper management level awaiting decision. I keep telling them that this was all approved before they assumed the Reverse Mortgage. A "NO BRAINER" I thought.

Champion Mortgage recommended the Total Protect appliance coverage for their customers. Total Protect is the worst company we have ever dealt with and should not receive endorsement from Champion Mortgage. We had Total Protect coverage for two years before we had our first problem; the result was so bad that we are discontinuing our contract. It took their contractors several appointments to finally discover and repair the problem; at that point we had damage to our lower level which will cost us $250 deductable for insurance repairs & which are not covered by Total Protect. If you must recommend home warranty insurance, we would recommend "America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc." (www.aphw.com) instead. We will not renew our coverage with "Total Protect".
