I ordered a pair of slacks in 14 tall (with 35" inseam) on Nov. 30, 2011. the order was on backorder. On Jan. 6, 2012 the order was shipped. The slacks were marked 14 tall but they were too short (31" inseam). I returned the slacks the next day in the mail bag provided by chadwicks. The charge appeared on my credit card Jan.6, 2012. When I repeatedly...

Chadwick's of Boston Shipping Problems

I really don't understand what's happened with Chadwick's on-line order and shipping procedures. I ordered a skirt on May 04 and it was in stock. Typically I'll receive my order via UPS in about 5-7 days. On May 16 I called their customer service and inquired as to a status on my order. I was told it shipped on May 11, but they didn't have a tracking number to give me. I called again on May 19 and asked for a tracking number. Again, they didn't have one, but they assured me it shipped on May 11 and it would take 7-10 days to receive the order. Low and behold, on Tuesday May 24, I received an email from Chadwick's telling me my order shipped on May 24, and I received a tracking number. Bottom line - I'll receive my order almost 1 month after I ordered it.

The same thing happened to me back in March. Long story short - 2 weeks after I placed my order I called on a Tuesday and asked the status of my order of an in-stock item. The lady apologized and told me I'd have it by Friday of that week. After 2 more weeks passed I called in disgust and cancelled the order.

I don't like being lied to. Ordering from Chadwick's used to be seamless, and doing business with the company was a pleasure. Now it's a big pain, and customer service STINKS.

Chadwick's of Boston Won't stop sending catalog

I have called Chadwick's twice and canceled my catalog subscription, and yet, they still send me one every month! DO NOT get on their mailing list, if you do, it's a life-long commitment.

Even when you die they continue to send the catalog. My wife passed away 4 yrs ago. I explain to Chadwicks every 6 months that I have no need for womens clothing, nor does my deceased wife, yet the catalogs continue...

Have the same exact issue, the catalog isn't even in my name. I have called them numerous of times for years, asking to be removed, and that the person no longer lives here. They keep coming up with the same lame excuses, they will tell you they are sending the info right away to get fixed, that they are going to talk to supervisor, they will get it over to techies, etc. I've been told it takes 6 months to finish out the already pre-printed catalogs, but after that it will end...LIESSSSSSSSSSSSSS! It doesn't end, It is going on 5 years now.

I found out that there are federal laws that protect people from getting mail like this, there is a form 1500 from the post office you can fill out. It prohibits this junk mail from getting to you. I remember a long time ago, a woman sued a company for calling her all the time, she won in court. Now I'm thinking I should do the same; charge for each one they sent and even charge for rental use of my mailbox, since they take up space.

I unwittingly bought merchandise from Chadwick’s after the mother company had already filed bankruptcy. I read the biz pages and saw nothing about this over the summer. I returned all of the items, and the customer service reps have told me repeatedly that they received the items, that the credit was recorded on 9/6, but that due to the financial...
