Took money and no service
Paid this company $4000 and all they did was file my back returns. I received a levy from the state and they could do nothing to lift it or compromise. Also, I now have a federal levy that I have to fight by myself. Spencer is a piece of garbage that will say anything to get the money out of your account. Do your homework so you do not fall prey to these scams. Only 3% of all Offers in Compromise are excepted, so you will probably pay the entire amount of your debt.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Took money didn't provide service
This company was suppose to help people get thier tax debt under control. Instead they took alot of peoples money and then vanished without a word. They just posted a note on the web side stating that they had to close business due to the economy. They didn't bother to offer any of us our money back just told us to deal with the IRS by ourselves. Well we are all out of our money and still have IRS problems. They also took money out of my bank account they day they closed the doors...Tell me thats not fraud...knowing they are not going to do anything for the monies they are taking.
I was also a taken advantage of by these crooks! I paid them close to $2, 000 since May 2006. I kept calling them and I was told everytime that my file was under reveiw. I was told by them that they would handle filling my taxes for 2006. When I went to re-finance my home in 2007 I found out they had never done so. I have since paid off my taxes and had my taxes filled properly. I have been trying to contact them via phone, the number I had was [protected] with a mailing address of 24800 N IH-45, STE 210 The Woodlands Texas 77386 . The email address was www.WeFixIRS.com and the lady that responded to all my emails and letters was Barbara Kelsey, E.A. I hope there is a very special place in hell for these people. I will follow up with this until I get satisfaction from someone, by making sure these people are brought to justice.

Spence is a bad person. He tokk from me not only money but respect for him by claiming to be such a great christian person. If things happened to his wife the way he said, he could not have done to all of his clients and employees what he did. I am persuing filing charging against him. He knows that not only do I have Maria on my side, I also have a child that is also an attorney. On day Spencer, you will pay for your crimes just like W. J. Hoyt. You are no different than him.

All right everyone know Spence at best a con-man and is a worst a thief, but I would like to also get back at Maria Abercrombie after telling her the a few things she let me know she was a lawyer and dressed me down telling me she was the expert. A) after letting them (Cert. IRS) my taxes they didn't send them and on one the income was $15K more than my earnings--she got mad when I complained and tried to correct it. B) Even before that no return calls. As a lawyer her standard should be held to a higher level. I wish her disbarred. I got taken for $6, 250 and was left in a mess because they actually started in Dec. 2004 and had done nothing until their closing doors, so I was in worse trouble. The advice given also cost me buying a house on the cheap, closing CC accts. and lowering credit card limits also advised hurt my score. Unlike some I will admit to screwing up my taxes and payments but other than that I was a model for paying bills on time. I was just being socked with penalties over $50K and wanted help--and a reasonable settlement--I was willing somewhat to pay everything else but hadn't done my taxes properly and had many deductions I had missed.

Spence Carlson is now selling for a tax company called Lion Tax. He is back at it again! Don't be fooled by "Country Boy" charm or the use of Christianity in his sales delivery. Watch Out!
We also paid over $3, 500.00 for services that we never received. When I challenged Spence Carlson, he became very indigent and told me he had put extra employees on my case which was an inaccurate statement. I ended up negotiating with the State (tax case now closed, paid in full), and filing my own OIC with the IRS which was accepted. With the money I paid Certified, I could have paid off my OIC by now.
