DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Just check out the other rip-off listed on this site before you decide to do business with this company. The website clearly states that you add items to your cart and go through checkout. They will call you with a shipping quote and if you do not approve the shipping charges your credit card will not be charged. Well, they called with the shipping quote which was more than the merchandise so I did not approve the order. Central Pack went ahead and charged my card anyway. The credit card charge shows up as 'P and M Consolidator' so unless you do some research and figure out that this is the same company as Central Pack, you might not realize you've been charged for something you never authorized.

I never authorized the charges and I never received any items so it should be fairly straightforward to dispute these charges through my credit card company. Hopefully I won't have any problems receiving my money back.

    I won't order from them again. I ordered 'bookfold' boxes from them. They sold me the defective boxes that the manufacturers usually throw away - the ones where the manufacturers code pierces through the cardboard making the exact spot where you need to put your address label impossible to use. They could not guarantee that the products I ordered from them in the future would not contain the same or similar defects. The savings were not that substantial. I wouldn't recommend them.

    I am in the process of trying to clear up fradulent charges by P and M Concolidators! One order (with extreemly overpriced shipping) and three months later they have made two other charges to my card each time for over three times the cost of the origional order. I'm surprised i actually received the origional order.

    I recieved the wrong order and was charged over $220. more than the order was stated. They will not answer their phone or return any of my calls or emails.

    This company is a scam. I MEAN THEY ARE A SCAM. I HAVE BEEN ORDERING STUFF FROM THE INTERNET FOR YEARS AND HAVE NEVER EVER HAD A PROBLEM. I ordered some boxes and they never shipped. I emailed them and a like 4 days later no response. I try to call them and nobody answers. P&M consolidators probably isn't real, and why don't they have their own website??? I googled it and [redacted]s and other stuff came up. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BOTH www.localmovingsupplies.com and www.centralpack.com are owned by them and they ARE SCAMS AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND ARRESTED DIRTY ROTTEN IDIOTS I WISH WE COULD DO SOMETHING TO GET RID OF EM

    My experience is pretty much the same; low price shipping quarantee seemed fishy from the start and turned out to be 2/3 the product cost, it was partially delivered 2 days after promised, and did not get the remainder for another week. Called to complain and rep agreed the shipping was outrageous for the service and she would pass my credit request along though I could tell she did not care in the slightest. I got a call from a JIT Packaging rep saying P&M was having financial difficulties and they would be fielding their orders. Not sure if they were P&M's supplier but their prices, shipping and service were great. BUT... 2 months after my last P&M order I am looking at 2 charges to P&M totaling $1900 on this months credit card statement.

    On July 12, 2008 I was contacted by the Fraud Dept of my credit card company (Capital One) concerning a possible fraudulent charge made by P AND M CONSOLIDATOR NILES IL in the amount of $988.30.

    I have purchased items from this company in the past on two occasions, but this charge was not made by me. It is a true fraudulent charge!

    My credit card has been credited with the amount, and I attempted to call the company at 888-654-5354 only to find out they are in financial trouble. The phone numbers I was given to contact them are 847-588-2933 and 847-588-2202.

    Be sure to watch your credit card statements for any charges from P AND M CONSOLIDATOR NILES IL that may not have been made by you!

    I ordered about $80 in boxes which I received with no problems. 2 months later I was charged $1k by this company, which I am now having to dispute. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! I foolishly used my debit card and now my bank account is frozen. It looks like they have changed their name as well.

    In May I ordered about $40 worth of bubble mailers from CentralPack, aka P&M Consolidators, aka Gourmet Today. I received these with no issues. On July 11th this company fraudulently charged $1244.03 to my credit card, which I have disputed. I have also filed a complaint with the Illinois Better Business Bureau and will file one with the Illinois Attorney General's office.

    The actual phone numbers for CentralPack are 847.588.2510, 2515, 2664, 2665. They do not answer the phone, do not respond to emails, and do not return messages.

    I have ordered boxes from Centralpack.com (AKA P & M Consolidators in Niles IL) for several years with no problems, usually 2-3 times a year with orders averaging $40-$60. Never a problem...until I saw my July '08 statement with an unauthorized charge of nearly $1000! The last time I ordered from them was in May for approximately $60. I was charged correctly for that and paid the bill. I have made no orders since then and now have this unauthorized charge in July. Credit card company has all info and was a big help to me, but somebody needs to stop these people.

    By the way, I also called 888-654-5354 and was given the exact same info as Jeff Lowrence. Heidi at /company removed/ took down my name and number and gave me this local number: 847-588-2665 but I am letting the credit card company handle it from here.

    WATCH YOUR STATEMENTS!!!

    I to just had my Paypal debit card charged $388.40 for a order that was never placed.
    Like others, I used the company last year and they had my Paypal debit card information, right now i'm out $388 and it's still saying "Pending" at Paypal, now I can't do anything unless the Pending becomes "Completed", then I have to go through the whole Chargeback process to get my money back, I have cancelled my debit card and have also warned my credit companys plus my bank not to accept any charge's from Centralpack.com (AKA P & M Consolidators in Niles IL)!

    Now it's just a waiting game, unbelievable!

    I was also scammed by centralpack. So, I called the Niles Police Department and they were VERY helpful in helping me get my money back ($566.30). The number for the NPD is (847) 588-6533. Officer John Gaba took my case and was incredible! In fact, the whole department is stellar. You can also try Jim directly at centralpack. The number there is 1-800-224-6876. Hope this helps.

    Add one more to the fraudulent charges routine for this collapsing company. I just charged back an American Express charge of over $900.

    Thank you @Caren for the police department details so I may file a formal complaint of theft and encourage other to do so, so that the owners of the failed company can be brought to justice for these actions. Hopefully those who do not carefully check their credit card balances and 'just pay' can be contacted as well about unauthorized charges to their card.

    NOTE on /company removed/, the company that acquired the CentralPak / Centralpack.com domain name and phone number - Kurt there was helpful and courteous in his explanation.

    Aaaaannnnnddddd another! I was charged twice, once for anound $500 and then a day later for about $200 which would have been the shipping cost. This was for an order I placed and canceled in late April. I have contacted the police department and am waiting for a call back.

    As for the company who now ownes www.centralpack.com they are not a very professional company. Kurt is very insecure and felt the need to tell me he graduated with a masters degree in fours years and is the "head of sales". Poor salesmen in my opinion. He also wanted to let me know he doesn't answer to anyone (head of sales) even though he is not the owner of the company. When I asked to speak to the owner, he said he was out at lunch (of course he is haha).

    I would like to point out that Kurt gave me numbers to contact central pack at, which of course they didn't answer. At first Kirt told me they are still in business, that is why he would give me their phone numbers so they could resolve the issue, but through talking to Kurt he later admitted that they are out of business. Kurt was also unable to explain to me why he was giving me numbers for a company that is out of business. Ladies and Gentlemen, if a company is out of business, WHY WOULD THEY ANSWER THEIR PHONE?!

    REPORT TO POLICE

    John Gabba at the Niles Police Dept was very helpful and appears to be looking into things. If you have been ripped off by P and M Consolidator (P & M Consolidator), please call Mr Gabba at 847-588-6503 in addition to contacting your credit card issuer.

    Well, I must be the dumbest of all. P & M was able to charge our credit card over $7600 over a 5 month period. Due to the large volume of purchases we make each month our we didn't catch these 8 unauthorized charges right away. Our card has since been canceled but because the charges were over 60 days ago, I'm going to have to fight tooth and nail to get my money back; debit card company is no real help; going to make me jump thru hoops.

    I have been able to occasionally reach someone via phone at P & M. Played dumb to their lame reasons for the supposedly mistaken charges and have managed to get them to refund me half of the charges so far; I'll keep trying since honey is collecting more flies than vinegar. Any money back is better than none at this point.

    Also put in a call to the police; waiting for a return call.

    Anyone know this?? Is it still a crime if they return the money? It should be. I can't imagine holding up a bank but when someone complains, returning the money and thinking I wouldn't be going to jail. Craziness.

    THEY JUST NAILED ME TODAY(8-11-08)!GOT ME FOR CLOSE TO $$600.00 !!CALLED POLICE IN NILES AND WILL FILE COMPLAINT AND CANCELLED CARD AND OF COURSE WILL DISPUTE THE CHARGES!!

    I feel so sorry for all you people what you dont have anything else better to do with your time then to sit here making up storys how sad and for caren so you were the one who called the police and made false aligations well you must feel real stupid because it was investigated and drop because there wasnt any type of fraud going on and i cant wait until they get back on there feet because i miss those pretty luxster boxes.

    I love P&m I strongly belive that all these coments are coming from jit because there trying 2 take over p&m personally I've never had any problems with this company and will do anything i can to try and help them get back into buissnes
