I ordered a trail size of acaipure and got gum for $9.99, and colorpure, and charged $44.90. Didn't want products and have been trying to return them but with no success. I have attempted to call, e-mail, returned subsequent merchandise with no success or refund of my money, I have received three shipments, two sent back to sender, still no return of my money. Please help I don't know what is the next recourse.

Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. rip off rip off

I ordered the product for $4.95 and as I was hitting submit, noticed that 2 boxes were checked on the page and then found my debit card was charged $44.95. I called and was told that once an order was submitted that I had to wait to get the product and then ship it back in order to get any money back. It also said I would receive the product in 3-4 business days. 2 weeks later I called and had to wait 90 minutes to speak with someone and was told that my order had been shipped. I emailed the company a few times and it said I would get a response in 24-48 hours- good thing I didn't hold my breath because I didn't get a reply. 2 weeks after that I finally received the product. A few days later I had a charge to my debit card of $29.95 from some other company that they had given my bank information to for some weight loss program. They were nice enough to refund my money in 2 business days back to my account. The next day I had another charge from central coast for $39.95. I called and the wait time said it was 30 minutes and it ended up being an hour. The ever so "friendly" girl on the phone said there were only 3 of them there and she said I needed to send the first shipment back to get any of my money back. I proceeded to tell her to refund my second withdrawel now and she told me that maybe I needed to wait another hour on hold so I could get myself together and as I said, "don't talk to me like that and don't you dare hang up on me, " I was hung up on. That's okay, I'm off of work on Friday and have 8 hours to harrass them.

Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. - acai pure scam

After I ordered Acai Pure, I found out from people online that they were having problems with being over charged and even after they cancelled their account. I received my free trial of Acai Pure on Saturday, November 9, and decided that I will mail it back because of what I read from others. Now I am worried that they will overcharge me. I am going to mail...

Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. Unauthorized charges

I ordered Green Tea Extreme $1.00 Offer plus $4.95 shipping, Oct 14, 2008. When order arrived it also contained Hodiburst Gum $9.95 and Hoodiawater $29.95. I immediately tried to call them to say I didn't order the extra items and wated to cancel and return the items. I ended up getting a recording saying I cold cancel my order and receive no more shipments. I left all the information on the answering devise.

Then on Nov.4 th, 2008 I noticed on my checking account I had been charged $38.95 by this company. I tried to call them and was on hold for 30 min. the first time and 45 minutes the next time. I have tried repeatedly but the hold times were terrible and I finally gave up.

Their invoice also staes you can not refuse shipments and and you can not return anything without anRMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) What can I do to get my money back. I have had to cancel my debit card, because I am afraid they will charge it again!

I issued the same complaint against the Fulfillment Center in Largo, FL..which obviously distributes Acai Pure and carries out this scam.

I ordered a "free!" trial of Acai Pure & was to pay only $4.95 shipping. They sent Hoodie water & gum, which I then had to send back. About a month later, they finally credited me for that, but it was $5.95 less than what it should have been (I guess that's the re-stocking fee). But, before they issued the credit, there were 2 more charges on my credit card for products that I did not received at all. Now, 12/22 I received one bottle of Acai Pure for which they charged my credit card $44.90 on 11/27. There is one other charge dated 11/11 for which I never received product.

These people don't answer the phone # given [protected]) and have not responded to my 12/17 e-mail. If anyone has had success in getting out of this scam, please e-mail me...Jean @ jcp_kv@yahoo.com.

I purchased a trial sample of AcaiPure and received products that I did not order. I requested a Return Merchandise Number and have not heard anything as of yet.
I will not pay for something that I did NOT order and am "Unable to return" deu to the companies lack of customer service. The phone number goes into a loop and never allows you to talk to anyone, just refers you to their website.

This is a SCAM - BEWARE!

I ORDERED THE ACAI PURE AND COLO PURE AS A FREE TRIAL-JUST TO PAY S & H. THERE WERE BOXES ON THE SIDE OF THE WEB PAGE THAT WERE PRE-CHECKED(SMALL AND UNNOTICEABLE) FOR OTHER PRODUCTS EQUALING $79.80 IN EXTRA CHARGES. I CALLED THE COMPANY AND WAS ON HOLD FOR 56 MINUTES. WHEN A REP CAME ON THE PHONE HE WAS MOST UNHELPFUL-COULD NOT CANCEL THE CHARGES BECAUSE ITEMS HAD BEEN SHIPPED. I ASKED IF I COULD SPEAK TO HIS MANAGER(TO WHOM HE TALKED TO WITHOUT PUTTING ME ON HOLD REGARDING "UPSELLING" ME) AND HE REFUSED TO LET ME TALK TO HIM. I ASKED HIM IF HE UNDERSTOOD THAT THIS WAS VERY DECEPTIVE PRACTICES-AND HE JUST RESPONDED WITH "THIS IS LEGAL".
WHEN I TOLD HIM I WAS GOING TO REPORT THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU-HE TOLD ME TO TELL THEM "HI"

I ordered a free sample of the advertised product that alluded to the Oprah Winfrey endorsement. The sample came with 2 other products that were charged to my credit card in the amount of $44.oo+. Shortly thereafter, I received another order for a product, once again charged $44.90 on my credit card. I can get no answer to my questions and complaints. Did Oprah actually promote this scam?

I ordered the trial of Acai Pure from CCN on 09/02/2008 for just the $4.95 shipping/handling. I received the product on 10/14/2008. I was charged on 10/08/2008 for a re-order of the product. This is after having called the 1-888 number on 09/16/2008 and inquiring where my product was, being assured it was shipped and would arrive any day and pointedly informing them to cancel any further shipments of Acai Pure until I received the first bottle and called to request any more. I didn't want to get more if it didn't work, and since I hadn't received the first bottle I didn't want to be charged to return it if I was unhappy. I was told on 09/16/2008 that there would be no further charges/shipments until I specifically request them to be shipped. I recieved BOTH bottles on 10/14/2008 and promptly called to ask why I was charged for another bottle. I was told I didn't cancel. I informed them I didn't order any more, and asked how to return it since I didn't want to have to deal with any more hassles from this company. I was then launched into a tirade by the "customer service" rep I was speaking to about how I am a scam artist ordering things and returning them, how I need to just get over myself, etc. During this time my daughter was getting fussy and he told me to tell her to shut up. I gave him a few not so nice words of advice and hung up. I called back after I had cooled off and spoke to a wonderful woman who was actually helpful. She advised me to send back BOTH bottles and I would receive a full refund less shipping and handling on both items. She advised me I didn't need an RMA if I enclosed the statement with them and to keep the tracking number for reference. I was to call 3 days after delivery to check on the refund. Today, it has been 4 days since they received the items back and I called to inquire on the status. I was told I wouldn't get a refund on the first bottle, since they showed I received it on 09/16/2008. I would get a refund on the second, though. WHAT? So, I send BOTH back and get nothing for one of them? Not even the product? I was not happy. The gentleman said he didn't have any notations on my account telling him that I was supposed to get a refund on both, just one, so that is what I am going to get. I asked if he bought two DVD's and decided later he didn't want them both, took them back and was given money back on one of them and not both, and didn't get to keep the one he wasn't getting his money back on would he be happy? He said no, he understands. Let him see what he can do. The resolution was I will be getting my shipment of the FIRST bottle back at no charge in a week or so.
While the process was terrible, this company has a history of scamming people and nobody should have to go through all of this...there is at least ONE employee who helps and (hopefully) comes through for the consumer in the end. One word of advice...DON'T order until you read EVERYTHING and if you wish to cancel, not only should you call, but send emails and letters as well. The best time to call is first thing when they open 6am Mountain time. (9am EST or 8am CST)

My husband ordered a "$1.00" sample of health product from Central Coast Nutraceuticals. His credit card was hit with a charge of $44.85, and another for $39.95 shortly thereafter, for a total of $84.80 in unauthorized charges.

The BBB of Arizona reports 36 complaints against the company so far this year, with the majority of them going unresolved. We have now contacted our attorney, who will be getting back to us today.

I ordered AcaiPure approx 11/13/08. I rec'd verification of my order on 11/14/08 stating my order would be shipped in 2-3 business days. Guess what? I have never rec'd my order. I tried to email the company at their email address listed and it was returned to me as a failure. Somebody please do something about this outfit. I have always had good luck ordering online in many different categories and this is the first time I have been "taken" I'm afraid they're going to send me unwanted goods and/or continue to use my credit card. I am scared to death!

Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. AcaiPure Scam

BUYER BEWARE - DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FOR THE LOW SHIPPING RATE WITHOUT READING EVERYTHING ON THE WEBSITE. YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR AUTO SHIP AND RESTOCKING IF YOU RETURN!

I felt I had made a bad judgement when I placed my order. So I tried to call someone and cancel. Of course, I could not get an answer. I have not received my order but I have been charged 14.90. The charge was supposed to be 4.95. I wondered how that could be so I checked the web page. I deselected the indicator for the 29.95 Hoodia but not for the 9.95 gum. How devious of the company to make selections for people trying to order specific products. I don't appreciate being deceived. I then read the FAQ page where I will be charged a 15% restocking fee when I return these items. Companies like this make comsumers leary about ordering items off of the internet. This company is not about promoting their great products, its about taking advantage of comsumers. This is going to be a time consuming and tricky thing to get out of. I don't doubt that I will have to cancel my credit card to stop the insanity. So - don't do it!

I was supposed to pay $4.95 for s/h and instead I was charged $44.85 right from the start AND never received my free 14 day trial. I called my credit card and am filing a complaint and they are going to contact the bank that is connected with AciaPure to dispute the charge. And i cancelled my credit card so they cannot charge me again.

Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. Scam charges

I too have fallen victim to this company as many others have. They clearly are not truthful in any way, shape or form. On Sept 20th I ordered the 14 day FREE trial of Acai-Pure. I was only to pay $4.95 After placing my order I did a more extensive search of this product as I was very interested in the initial claims.

I was horrified to learn of the fraud and deceptive practices of this company so I immediately sent an email asking them to please cancel my order. Less then 48 hours later I checked my bank account. Lo and behold there was a charge on there for $44.85! I was horrified, Ya know that pit of the stomach OMG feeling? Yep... That's what I had and still do.

I called the bank ASAP and was instructed to call the company before going through my bank claims dept. Soon as I hung up with the bank I called Central Coast Nutraceuticals. After numerous times I finally got through to a live person. Her name was Jessie, I explained situation and she said I did not uncheck the boxes that stated I was also ordering extra products. She mentioned water and hoodia pills.

I am no stranger to online ordering, I know what I'm doing and I know for a fact I made sure my order was accurate and I did NOT order anything extra. I explained I would be filing a claim with my bank and the BBB if the charges were not reversed. She put me on hold, Came back and said no problem, Account/order canceled and I would have charges reversed. Even gave me a reference number.

I called my bank back to update them on the situation and was instructed to call back and get a time frame as to when the charges would be reversed. When I called back I was told no refund till they get their products back. I said I had no products and did not order anything but the 14 day free trial. She said whoever told you that you were getting a refund was wrong. I then started explaining to her the complaints I had read online and that the company should be aware and then boom... She hung up on me. Excellent customer service skills... eh? : /

Btw.. Throughout this ordeal I have stayed very cool, calm and collective. Actually proud of myself too lol. Being rude or ignorant would put me down to their level.

Right after I was hung up on I then sent the company another email telling them everything I just typed here. No response yet from any emails I have sent. I just checked my bank account, No reversed charges. I'm afraid this is gonna be a long 'fight' Is there something that can be done to help Folks like me? Can we get together here and stop this company period from doing this to anyone else?

This web site... complaintsboard had previously helped me in another matter. I was grateful for your help then and I would be forever grateful if you could help me and the others who have filed complaints against this company.

Thanks for your time in reading this : )

I'm also living your nightmare! One Saturday afternoon - I ordered a sample of Accai Pure and a sample of Colontox - each had shipping of $4.95 - except the Colontox had a charge for $1.00 for that sample. An hour later I was checking my bank acct. and to my horror found a charge of $44.85 and a charge of $45.85! I called the company immediately to cancel my order but of course they were closed. I then immediately e-mailed them and told them to cancel my order - an e-mail came back stating I would get a response in 24-48 hours - of course 3 weeks later - no e-mail responses. The Monday after I placed the order my husband started calling the company with wait times of 60+ minutes! For two weeks we tried to contact the company - meanwhile the products came. From each package they included two items I had not ordered - some kind of drops and gum - the gum cost $9.95! How outrageous! Because I work all day I can't be on the phone but I did have my mother start calling along with my husband calling. My mother finally got in contact with someone - after 60+ minutes of waiting (wait time was suppose to be 10 minutes). A guy named Tim told her to have me send back all items I did not want. I boxed up everything and sent everything back registered ($10.00) they have to sign that they received the package. Now I'm into the company for $100 - suppose to be $10.00 - ---

Now I just checked my bank acct. and another $38.95 has been taken out of my banking acct. Now keep in mind I haven't ordered anything else from these idiots! Now I have to go to the bank in the morning and cancel my acct. before anymore damage is done. Also I've been charged $16.95 from another company that I think is linked to this one - I have no idea who they are - but they also got some of my money.

Today I'm on-line seeing what I can do to remedy this - I'm lucky I found this website - I'm also going on-line to contact the attorney general's office - along with anyone else I can contact and tell about this horrible company.

Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. fraudulent scams

After posting my complaint against Central Coastal Nutraceuticals, Inc, on 8/28/08, I achieved good results in my favor by emailing the president's email address, with all of my complaints, including that I intended to report his company to the Better Business Bureau, as well as a law enforcement branch of the government for fraud. I also told him that I was going to notify my bank to inform them re: the rip off scam that I had fallen prey to, and to never let them charge anything else to my bank account again. This is what I did...hope this helps you all.

After I sent the president of the company's email address, which is [protected]@centralcoastnutra.net, a woman called me on the phone yesterday. I let her have it, too, about their fraudulent charges to my bank debit card, and sending me products that I did not order.

She told me that, supposedly, in the agreement piece that we read before purchasing this product, the web site page had places to uncheck the Hoodiagum and the Hoodiawater. She asked me, "Didn't you see that?, " to which I replied, "No."

I included in both my email to the president's address and in the conversation that I had with the woman yesterday, that if they did not give me a full refund, I was going to go to my bank, tell them what CCN, Inc. had done to me, and that I would tell my bank to fight them, and to never allow any further charges to my account.

I also questioned her on their crazy "return" policy, stating only that they would refund on products that were unopened. She told me that just under that sentence, there was another one stating that they would refund total monies for all products, including the opened ones, as long as I sent my units back by 9/7/08; however, the way in which that statement is phrased, per her reading it to me, most people, including me, would not interpret this statement as allowing unopened units. There is just a very short window of time in which one must return the units, or one is out of luck.

Also, she said that if I didn't return my "free trial" bottle by 9/7/08, they would charge me for the remaining number of capsules in the bottle. I assume they determine the charge according to following their recommended dosages on the bottle x number of days=number of capsules left. So, none of us ever received a "free trial" at all. We were only given about one week's worth of the "free bottle." We were not notified of that scam either when we signed up to get this free trial, right? I know that I wasn't.

She said to me, "If you will not go to your bank, I will guarantee that you will get a full refund, except for the S & H charges. I then told her that I had read on the Internet where one person had posted their complaint regarding CCN, Inc.'s continuing to send him/her monthly supplies, when this person never agreed to this at all. Again, I asked this woman if they really do that. She answered, "Yes...didn't you read that statement in the agreement section prior to submitting your request to receive the free trial? Once again, I said, "No."

I stood firm against this woman, representing CCN, Inc., and it paid off. So, my entire package is on it's way back to the scam artists. I am going to call my bank and alert them to this company and it's illegal practices.

You can be successful, just as I was, in getting your money back, and in stopping these scam artists from stealing anymore of your money. Just do what I did...good luck!

I just wanted to tell people to stop buying things online! Anything where you have to enter a credit card number is a no no! Go out and shop where you can swipe the card and thats it. No one will have your info. If you want a free sample of anything you are not going to get it! There's nothing in this world that's free. It's only free if there is no way they can ever charge you for it. If they ask for a credit card number or ss# just don't do it! If you understand this from this day on you will never be scammed again.

I only ordered the trial free sample--with not additional order of any of their products until I try the free sample. If they send me more products or charge me for more, I will make sure that they will be prosecuted. Thank you for the heads up.
