This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

After I ordered Acai Pure, I found out from people online that they were having problems with being over charged and even after they cancelled their account.
I received my free trial of Acai Pure on Saturday, November 9, and decided that I will mail it back because of what I read from others. Now I am worried that they will overcharge me. I am going to mail it back tomorrow, November 12. The Sales Receipt that I received from them says that all returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Also that returned merchandise requires a delivery confirmation from the shipping provider and an RMA number from Customer Care. How are we suppose to get that number? I have emailed them twice and have heard no reply from them. Also I tried calling and I keep getting a busy signal. I do believe this is a scam.
Of course, now Acai Pure, has my credit card number, but I did notify the credit card company via email what I thought about this scam and I heard back from them right away. I decided to email Central Coast Nutraceuticals once more and I CC it to the credit card company. I have ordered lots of things online and never had a problem like this before.
I hope that I don't keep getting charged.

I ordered a "free trial" of Acai Pure wherein I was to pay for shipping ($4.95). Instead, I got a package containing the Acai plus hoodiawater and hoodia gum and the total was $44.85. You MUST contact them to get a Return Merchandise Authorization number. Trying to call them, the "wait time" was estimated at 77 minutes and 45 seconds. I'm not sure how I will stop them from billing me for more stuff; I will be calling my credit card company, and I will be writing a report for the state's Consumer Protection. But what a rip off.

I Authorized $15.90 off my Credit Card for 1 month trial offer + The Hoodiburst Gum. That was all! Order# 1567239. My account was charged the $15.[protected] twice and an additional $44.90 on 12-15-08. I did not authorize the $44.90 amount. I do not want anything further from this company other than to have. My $44.90 put back onto my Credit Card immediately. I'm assuming that this is not the first time this has happened according to the recent stories that I have been reading. I have my attorney on stand-by along with the BBB. So someone needs to take care of this problem today or soon as I will take this further because this is fraud. There was no mention of additional monies being deducted.

I ordered a FREE sample of AcaiPure and was asked to pay shipping of $4.95. I was sent 2 other products that I did not order and my card was charged $44.85. How does a company have the BALLS to just through in unordered products and charge you for them. Is this not aginst the Law. I have called and disputed the charge with my card co. I expect a refund A.S.A.P. of
#39.90 and I refuse to pay a restocking fee for items I did not order.
I will return the unwanted items as soon as I can get an RMA #.
Does that come from you, or do I have to continue calling and not be able to get through to a human. The very fact that you had to install an e-mail address to handel this type of complaint should tell you that your business practice's SUCK.

What does it take to get through to you that I DO NOT WANT YOUR PRODUCTS. I ordered your trial offer and you took it upon yourselves to order products for me that I DO NOT WANT. What sense does it make to order a product that I have'nt even had a chance to try. I cannot chew gum so why would I order it. I have gone to the library to use their computer and I find that you have charged me AGAIN for PRODUCTS I DO NOT WANT. I have tried to contact you by phone and just keep getting hung up on. I am a senior citizen and on an extremely limited budget. It is hard for me to get to a computer so PLEASE work with me to solve this or I will have no choice but to contact the attorney general. You say on your invoice that I need a return merchandise authorization number from Customer Care. How can I do this when I can't get in tough with you. Unfortunately your company needs to be included on the lift of "rip-off companies" Again I am a senior citizen and cannot afford to buy groceries much less products that I cannot use. HELP HELP HELP

I asked for the FREE 30 days supply of AkaiPure for only $4.99 shipping & handling. Central Coast in turn sent me 2 additional products I DID NOT order and had the audacity to charge me $44.90 for them. Just the other day another bottle of AkaiPure arrived at my house and Central Coast AGAIN charged my credit card without my permission. I want to be reimbursed the $44.90 for BOTH shipments. I also don't think it's right that they wanted me to return the 2 products I DIDN'T ORDER IN THE FIRST PLACE, pay shipping & handling charges PLUS a 15% handling fee for something I DID NOT order! Why should I do it for this new AkaiPure when I DID NOT reorder the product! I am calling the Better Business Bureau AND my credit card company and have both of them fight for me. I shouldn't have to put up with this kind of s**t!

Order Number: 1299680 I ordered one product that was supposed to cost $1.00 and agreed to pay $1.95 in shipping and handling charges. They billed my credit card for $42.85 and sent products that I did not order. I have notified my credit card about the incorrect billing. I have tried a number of times to call without success, waiting long periods of time. I am willing to return the product, if I am sent a pre-paid envelope. I am considering contacting the Michigan Attorney General's office about this matter. They also (less than 2 weeks later) have sent my another mailing. I will return it to sender. I want all shipments to me to stop. Thank you.

I ordered a 'free' sample of acaipure, only agreeing to have the small postage fee deducted from my account, big mistake. I got the sample, but then $88 was deducted from my account and even though I emailed them to say I demanded my account be credite, they offered me a mere $15.oo which I declined. before I could advise my bank of this, a further $44.95 was deducted. Their answer to my query, was that I had agreed to a membership. I didn't, not was I shown an invoice when 'goods' were shipped as to hoqw much they cost, otherwise I would never have agreed to it, I am a pensioner on a limited income. I returned the package, which they said that they never received. I have since instructed my bank to cancel my accounts and it is now in the hands of their fraud department. If you want to keep your money in your bank, do not request anything 'free' from these people and keep your banking details to yourself alone, beware!

I am not usually duped by offers like these but this time I was. This is by no means a risk-free trial. I ordered Acaipure from Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. for a special offer of $1.95 shipping. I read all of the fine print and unchecked the boxes for the Hoodi Water & Gum. I researched the safety of acai berry and even came across a site recommending Acai-pure (was this site set up BY Acia-pure? I'd like to know.)

I received the product and being careful about what I eat or ingest, I decided to do a little more online research about the product. Thankfully I did, because this is when I came across hundreds of complaints against this company! First of all as a product, it is a MIX of many herbs, including acai berry. How much acai berry? It doesn't say. It could be 2% for all I know. It could be 50% fennel seed... it just doesn't say!

Secondly, as a company, I would advise everyone to stay far, far away from this company and all of their offers. I have called several times to cancel my membership (yes, apparently I am a "member" for ordering their "risk-free trial") and I have emailed several times to cancel all future charges and product deliveries. I have not been able to talk to any human being at their customer service number and I have received no reply to any of my emails! Terrible.

As soon as I saw the complaints about how people were unable to contact the company and that they were being charged repeatedly for products they didn't want, I cancelled my bank card. I strongly recommend that you do this, even though it is an inconvenience. Briefly explain to your bank what is happening and ask for a NEW card that is not associated with your old one. Act fast!

Purchased pills for shipping price only. 2 months later charged additional amt. for a shipment of pills that I have yet to recieve. 2 weeks later charged additional amount of $44. This is insane. They are stealing from me and others. Have tried numerous times to contact via phone and email. No response from either. When I call a recording says there is a 45 minute wait. That is not even true. I am having to close out my account and open a new one.

I ordered a trial product form Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc.
I was to pay only postage of $4.95. When the order came there were two other products in there which they charged me for. If I want to return them I have to call an 888 number and get a verification return merchandise number. I called and there was a 20min.30 sec. hold time. Now I am being charged $44.95 for this trial order. Plus I will be charged a 15% restock shelf fee for the two items I did not order. I feel that this is a scam and I want to return the entire shipment. I don't wish to do business with a company that deals this way. Judy K. Warnock, Portland oregon jkwarnock@comcast.net

I ordered a bottle of AcaiPure Trial for the total amount of $4.95 for postage and got 2 other products, Hoodidburst Gum for $9.95 and Hoodiawater 1 unit for $29.95 for a total of $44.85 charged to my credit card. I did not order these other products and am sending all back unopened for a credit. I am calling my credit card company to protest this charge and want my card credited upon receipt of this merchandise. If not, I am calling the better business bureau and reporting that this is a scam of good faith.

I am so angry right now, I ordered a 1.00 one month trial offer of Green Tea Extreme and paid for shipping and handling. They said we would receive it in 3 to 5 business days and it took almost two weeks to arrive. It came with two additional items - Hoodiburst Gum and Hoodiawater. Now, this was charged on my credit card without any approval from me. The total taken out of my account was 45.85. Well needless to say I called immediately because we had 30 days from the original date to rerturn it. With their procrastination in processing, mailing and everything there are 4 days left. The answering machine states because of the demand and high volume of calls to contact the website with any problems. Well, that doesn't exist. Now I am panicking because this certainly is a scam and they have my credit card information. Please help!

I already complained to my charge company once, now here we go again! The last time it was from Arizona--now Fla. I only asked for the sample. It made my stomach upset. I don't want any of the acai product, and I DON'T want my visa acct. charged. They, however, have my acct. no. and tend to charge me, again. I can't reach them on the phone, but I am going to call my visa account, again.
Please, stop this fraud company! How does one reach them? I'm NOT spending money to return the product. I'll keep it in my drawer until the return policy is FREE.

I ordered a product that was supposed to be endorsed by
Oprah Winfrey, Acai Pure.

The ad said try a sample of Acai Pure, free, only pay
shipping and handling on first bottle. I received the product and then my credit card was charged $39.95 for the "sample" and then another charge of $44.90 two weeks later.

I immediately called them and, after several attempts to reach them, told them I wanted a refund. They said if I would send the second bottle back (which I have not received) they would refund the amount of the product ($39.95) but not the shipping - AND, I would have to pay to ship it back to them. They would not refund the first charge for the product that I did not return (free sample?). The person I talked to also said I should have read the ad more carefully, supposedly it said that if not satisfied you needed to return the product within 15 days or they would charge you for it. I do not recall the ad saying anything about that. Return a free sample?

This is false advertising.

I ordered the free one month trial of POMClear, and the offer said that I only had to pay the $4.95 in shipping. Instead, they sent in addition to my free trial, Hoodiburst gum, for $9.95 and Hoodiawater 1 unit for $29.95. This made my total come to $44.85. When I called about this, they said that I made the mistake and I indeed did order it when given the option on the internet. They said that I need to be more careful when ordering on the internet. I remember reading everything over very carefully, and I know that I did not order these items. Because I was upset they had the nerve to tell me that I would be "black listed " from their company. Not to worry, I will never order from them again. They lost a potential long term customer!

Today is October 14, 2008 and I just received a package addressed to me from this Company which has arbitrarily charged my credit account, without my prior consent, in the amount of $44.90. The fact of the matter is I did not reorder this product, Acai Pure 1 Unit, which they claim I did on October 4, 2008.

I had ordered this product on August 30, 2008 and received with it a free sample which was being offered at the that time. The product was first introduced to me by viewing the Oprah show and I felt because of her endorsement of the product it would be worthwhile. Big mistake! The product made me sick!

I have been trying to reach their customer service department to report this erroneous purchase but have not been able to get through.

After reading other complaints about this same company I feel it is important to register a formal complaint with the Florida State Attorney General.

Around September 15, 2008, I ordered Acai Pure Trial. The trial product free, but I had to pay the shipping and handling of $4.95, which I authorized. However, I received the product yesterday and found that they had included Hoodiburst Gum, $9.95, and Hoodiawater, $29.95. My total bill was $44.85, not the authorized $4.95.

I was going to send them an e-mail and call them, however, when I input the URL information for Customer Service, I noted that there were numerous complaints from consumers with my same complaint. It was also noted that there was never an answer on the [protected]. I do not want to be stuck with the products or the bill.

Sent for 'trial' offer of colon cleanser. Received trial offer plus gum charged at $9.95, and water (1 unit) charged at $29.95 pluse the shipping totaling $44.85. This was listed to cost me a total of shipping and handling only at $4.95. I did not receive the products until September 29, 2008 but the letter of sales records September 16, 2008. They give you 30 days to return unopened products. Problem is you cannot get through to the 888 and the website does not exist. They purposely do not want anyone to get a hold of them, because they know everyone is looking for a refund!

ordered free sample plus $4.95 shipping charge. received two other products and was charged $44.85 credit to my account. I called to cancel and could not get through, as I was electronically recorded and had to wait on the phone for quite a while. Decided to email and left a message on Sept. 24, 2008. When I received by credit statement, I was charged $44.85 plus an additional $39.95. They claim I did not return the unopened product which I did not even order. This company is nothing but a rip off and hope they are put out of business and not allowed to advertise on the internet. This is a shame that companies are allowed to scam people. I will never again order anything from the internet again.

I ordered a FREE trial bottle of Acai Pure - charged $4.95 shipping which I understood. They also sent me Hoodiburst Gum at $ 9.95 and Hoodiawater at $29.95 - which I DID NOT ORDER. In reading some complaints from other customers they have had the same problem with these people. I am being charged a total of $44.95 for things I do not want. I should not have to pay postage to send these items back. As I read complaints from other customers, this company will not answer the phone.

They say we have to have a Return Merchandise Authorization number to return. I don't think I should have to return it as I DID NOT order it.

This company advertises vitamin supplements online for shipping only e.g. $1.99 to 4.99 -- buried in all this is a term-conditions statement that tricks you into agreeing to a later charge of $38.95-39.95 which they arbitrarily put on your debit-credit card. It is unbelievably misleading.

I ordered a trial supply of Acai and nothing else and was sent two other items and charged $44.85. I tried calling them and got an automated answer saying wait time would be at least 90 minutes to talk to someone. The paperwork states that you need a return merchandise authorization number to retunt items and then you'll be charged a 15 % restocking fee. I would say they have agood rip off scam going on.
