I received a call from "Lisa" with CBE group and she wanted me to verify my address. I told her I wanted to know who CBE group was before I gave out my address, she said until I "verify" my address that she could not tell me anything. I repeatedly told her I was not telling my address until I knew who I was giving it to. She said there was nothing else she could do for me. I called the number back and asked to speak to a supervisor, and I got the run around from the person who answered the phone and said until I told them my address they could not tell me anything else.Finally I got to speak with "Robert" the supervisor who told me the same thing. I again told them I was not giving my address to someone on the phone, that I did not know who they were. He told me I was not "giving" the address because they already had it they just needed to verify it. I stuck to my guns and would not "verify" the address, so the man said there was nothing else he could do. I told him I wasn't asking him to do anything, they asked me.
I Have an unlisted number and they keep phoning me for awhile they did not leave a message they now have 3 times and the person they are trying to reach does not live at my phone number. They call 6 days a week. Hoping to get the phone one of these days with it. Most of the time I'm still asleep when they phone.
They keep calling my company looking for a Jose Arias. I've told them repeatedly this person has never worked here. One more call and it's time to file a complaint with the attorney general. See how they feel about that.
My problem isn't verifying, why do they have to verify address or social every time wouldn't it be easier to just come up with some code word so I don't have to get hassled for an address every time they called. That would make me feel more comfortable talking to you over the phone. Four minutes of you constantly asking for my address than I finally say yes out of irritation is going to get you hung up on after hearing that attempt to collect a debt crap.
Call them back, tell them its the wrong number, they will stop calling. Avoiding it does you or them no good.
The CBE group is handeling a personal business matter of yours. They wouldnt want to call anyone and say "hi this is the CBE group, we are handling a Debt of yours. You have debt, you owe this much money to this person. Now please tell me how upset you would be if you had someone calling you telling you that the CBE group called them and told them you had a debt. They do this for your security
