Cato extremely bad customer svc. and from a manager of all people!!!

I am a business owner for myself and I put in a lot of hours. I don't get to shop much. I have never been the type of person to shop at the store but last year my aunt purchased me a pair of shoes from here and I was extremely impressed at how comfortable they were especially with the fact that I am on my feet for 14 to 16 hours a day In love heals! So when this summer came around and I needed some shoes for work immediately I remembered the shoes and thought I would go back for my entire summer shoe collection from the Stovel at Schmid in love heals! So when this summer came around and I needed some shoes for work immediately I remembered the shoes and thought I would go back for my entire summer shoe collection from this establishment since I was so happy last summer. I left my store in enough time to spend about 30 to 45 minutes picking out a collection of summer heels and wedges and immediately when I walked in if you dresses caught my eye. I went to try them on and immediately I got a very nasty look from the shift manager because I wanted to try something on. I paid it no mind and just hurried up. I then got out asked if she could look and see if I can purchase online because I really liked it and she gave me all kinds of ignorant attitude because I tried to purchase something in her store, I am still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that this lady was mad that I was trying to purchase something.Me being me I paid it on mine and rushed over to the shoes trying to keep in to consideration they have a family that they want to go home too, while I was over there she made every comment under the sun other than get the heck out of our store so I rushed through throwing shoes on my feet to the point I just said you know what I need to go this is not even a pleasurable shopping experience. At that point she had her sales associate already ring up all of my things never even lending me go through all of the items to make sure everything is correct before I can get anything out of my mouth she says to the girl what's the total. At that point I was stunned and speechless so I quickly became on speechless and flat out told her that was enough of her attitude and as a customer I will not except it and that it is not OK to treat people this way. I told her if she was an employee of mine she would be fired right then and there. I was purchasing like six or seven pairs of shoes plus a couple dresses which I feel like she should've been grateful for. I can tell you this much after last summer I was going to become a lifetime summer shoe shop or at the store but as of right now I don't think I ever want to go back to this place again. I can tell you 100% for a fact if I do decide to go back and that woman is working I will not spend one more dime with this company. She needs to 100% be fired. As a customer service manager I do not understand how she does not realize that the only way she gets a paycheck is by selling the items in the fact that she did not want to sell me items and ran me out of store before even closing time I am just in complete awe. her name is Angie and she is at the Pennsville New Jersey location if I were you all I would stay far away from the store. I will not stop until I am compensated for everything I just had to deal with and not only that I have four bags of stuff I don't even know if I wanted .

Cato staff

Very unprofessional No Customer service at all associates & manager I visted the California Maryland location while I was in town visiting family I had a bad experience I wanted to find a nice blouse for my family gathering and the manager Was not very helpful at all seemed very annoyed with her job I wasn't able to find a blouse or shoes that fit this store needs better staffing

Cato bras

I was given 2 bras for my birthday from Catos. Very nice bras and both of them turned out to be nothing but garbage. It's sad that you spend your hard earned money on something and then it turns out to be trash. Both bras broke on the hook where it fastens. Pictures are definitely attached! Neither one of these bras are of any use to me and I would like to know what is your company going to do to fix it. I am not driving back and forth to the store as I live almost 50 miles from the Catos store.

Cato customer service

I called to ask if they were hiring, and the person I believe was the manager answered. She replied with agitation, we are accepting applications. I then asked if they are currently hiring. She aggressively and rudely replied I don't give out that information over the phone. The tone of voice she gave was very unnecessary. I asked a question politely and she should not talk to a customer in that way. She could have said I'm sorry we don't give that information over the phone but feel free to come in and ask. Cato sales

Good Morning,

I frequently shop at the Cato's located on 2994 Pensacola Blvd. Pensacola Florida and 6271 Hwy 90 in Milton. This is more a suggestion rather than a complaint. Your Jewelry that is regular priced and on sale is not consistently matched. Another words - for instance - you have a necklace at regular price. The matching earrings are on sale. Or the Necklace is on sale and the matching earrings are regular price. It would be nice to either have the both on sale or both regular price. Also, sometimes the jewelry matching pieces are hard to find. It would be nice to put them in closer proximity to each other because when I buy Jewelry to match my clothing, I buy earrings, necklace and bracelets to match and I prefer them to match each other. Also, the sales associates are very nice and friendly and offer to help me pick out clothing, but rarely assist me in looking for my matching jewelry.

Cato rude and disrespectful customer service

On May 22, 2018, my mother and I went to Cato Fashion, in Philadelphia, MS. We were properly greeted by the two younger ladies. My mother was looking at clothes and finally she needed some assistance. I went to the lady, I guess who was the manager, who was on the phone the entire time, to let her know that my mother needed some assistance. She never acknowledged me but kept talking on the phone. So, she finally walks over to my mother, but still on the phone talking which clearly wasn't about the store. When she comes over, my mom tries to ask her a question and she continues to talk on the phone and she then walks off. Yes, I wanted to be rude and use profanity but I proceeded to the desk and asked one of the younger ladies for assistance and she did indeed help. I also asked her what was the ladies name on the phone and she informed me it was Stacey Love. The two younger ladies are the ones who helped and made our shopping better. That was the worse shopping with Cato I have every experienced. I'm going to include my information just in case I need to be contacted. Keneisha Johnson [protected]

Cato assistant manager sabrey I think was name

First off she did not even look up from her conversation with another employee when I walked in, I was never greeted or asked if I needed help and when I went to check out she critcized every thing i had picked out. Needless to say I did not buy anything and wont be returning with my business until you have a polite and courteous management staff there.

Cato applying for a job

I applied for a job at Cato a week ago there has has been a now hiring sign on the window for about 2 months possibly more for part time & full time it says on the sign also the indeed website & a few others have job openings at this same Cato store I receive emails & text messages at least twice a day about it but when I asked today about my application I was told they didn't need anyone & if they do they will put me at the top of the list if you don't need anyone why are there signs saying you do why do I get emails & texts saying you need help & why was I told when I put my application in that they were needing somebody

Cato black and white plaid blouse

I purchased a black a white plaid blouse in January of 2018. By March of the same year the tie belt started to shred as did the seam in the sleeve. Very poor quality of sewing as I only wore the blouse 3 times. The seams are cut so close there is no room to actually sew the item for repairs. This was such a waste of money for an otherwise nice garment.

Cato an employee

I have lived in Olive Branch, MS and shopped at the local Cato s for over 12 years. There is one employee, CHELSEA, that is new to me but exude professionalism and genuine care to ALL customers and not just some as I have often witness at that store. When the other employees are in their own personal conversation, Chelsea walks around and asks can she help. She is an example of an employee that is an asset to your company and should be recognized. Her genuine professionalism stands out.

No greeting when entering the store, NO basic acknowledgement at all..associates were busy doing markdowns on a Sunday...WHY? When I asked why they were doing this, I was told that is what the corp. wants them to do...REALLY!

I wanted to purchase 2 items. One item was a pair of leopard ballet slippers...which were marked $1.99. The other item was a pair of heels, black which were $9.99. I purchased the heels, but I was told that the ballet slippers, zeroed out when she rang them up, so I could not purchase them, even for the price that they were marked...I work retail and am a mgr. to boot, never heard of such a thing! I told her ( blonde hair, glasses, I believe she had a light pink dress on that day, full-figured), that I would happily pay the $1.99...but she told me she could not sell them to me! I asked her why they were still on the floor, if that was the case? I told her that I would let her corp. know and also WHY the markdowns on a SUNDAY, with the whole store full of customers!
There was another associate, older, sloppy in her attire, long unkept gray hair, sitting down, now mind you, scanning jewelry, really, sitting DOWN? I asked her if she would scan a necklace for me and she just grunted when I told her thank you...WOW!
I would really appreciate it, if the District Mgr. could give me a jingle from that region...I think we need to chat!

Cato service

I went into Cato yesterday(Sunday) as I do on so many Sundays and the associate started a dressing room for me as she's done many times before. No one said one thing about time. They have always closed at 5:30pm on Sundays. All the sudden at 4:45 pm the other associate came up to Me and said "We're closing in 15 minutes!" In quit a rude tone. I said"Oh my gosh! I've got tons of stuff to try on!" And she said "Ya betta get on it!" I was shocked! So I followed her in the dressing room and no more had gotten my clothes off and the other one came in and said "You got 5 minutes!" So I just didn't try on the rest.. Then she came back and said as I was dressing and said "You need anything?" I thought she was being nice for a second so I just asked "Well, I'm going as fast as I can but could I ask you to check for a different size in these pants and then I'll go?." She got a bit huffy and came Right back in and said "We don't got any!" Really? We don't"Got" any!" Seriously?! She also took the clothes I had of which I Never under different circumstances would have allowed her to open my door while in my UNDERWEAR! And it embarrassed me to death! So I go through all that only to get out to check out and there's some woman checking out that is just basically just standing there talking to the both of them and they never offered to open up the other register I ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes! I said if I'd known it was going to take her that long I could have tried on the other clothes and looked at some jewelry! I just got a smug look. Thenshe said "Well it is closing time and I realized it was Only 5 o'clock! I said "Wait a minute! It's not 5:30 pm yet!" And she said "Oh I know it! They"is" always changing our times on Sundays!" I said "Really! Well that might benefit you but it sure doesn't their customers!" Now.. I have bought ALL of my wardrobe from Cato for years and this is the closest store to me since you closed your Greenfield, In. Store. This has definitely made me rethink changing my store.. I really hate that but this isn't the 1st time I've been treated rudly in this same store on Sunnyside Rd. in Indianapolis, In. I'm Very disappointed and considering there are Many days in my line of work i Have to work over due to patients and family members so I really take offense to this behavior. This breaks my heart to be perfectly honest..

Cato delivery to wrong address

I ordered my item on Saturday, April 7th. Item shipped on Monday April 9th. I had requested that it be shipped to my home address. Because I never received the email with my tracking number, I had to call the customer service line to get tracking info. (Not one of the agents I spoke with gave me the tracking number.) The first one told me that it was to be delivered Thursday. Then I was told by a second agent that it would be delivered Friday. Then I was told that tracking stated that it would be delivered Saturday. (I live literally about 4 hours from the warehouse it was shipped from.) So I call again Saturday (14th) to find out where my package is and was told it had been delivered on the 12th to **my p.o. box**! REALLY? I complained on their FB page with no reply. I'm going to the p.o. to refuse the package and get a refund. This is ridiculous.

Cato rude employee

My mother and I went to look for an easter dress tonight around 7:30pm (3-31-18). We were waiting in line for a dressing room since they were all full. When a lady came out my monther and I went in and were going to share a room. We had 4 dresses between us both. The employee jerked the door open, didn't knock or anything and rudely stated we have to count these you cant just walk in here. She didn't knock or anything she was as very rude and hateful. I understand the items have to be counted but there are professional ways to do this. It was the lady that was "in charge" there was a younger lady training, she was very polite. The woman had shorter blondeish hair was working on the registure closest to the dressing rooms, she appeared to be pregnant. If we did not need dresses for tomorrow we would have walked out of the store. I doubt we will be back. Very rude and very unprofessional. These employees need to treat the customers how they would want to be treated and i'm sure they would not want their dressing room door jerked open by a very rude and unprofessional employee.

Cato the salesperson

the sales lady followed me throughout the store. She spoke to every Caucasian customer they came in and asked them if they were finding things are right. I stayed in the store for about an hour and she never acknowledged my presence. After I purchased clothing and was leaving the store, she made A negative comment. To which I responded that I would not return to the store because she was racist. If your sales people are going to talk about it dividual's that are not happy with their service, they should at least wait until we leave the store. And not every black person that comes into your store is there to steal. I shop at Cato (On Greenway Drive)frequently, And I am treated with the utmost respect. I do not ever intend to return to one of your stores again.

Cato refund/ unethical behaviour

I went to my local cato store today about 3 pm to return two items, jeans and a top for a refund. I have boycotted this store for about a year and a half and just recently starting shopping here again after I was treated so badly over a cheap refund. Today was no different! There was a new girl being trained so she went to get the manager there which was deanna wooden. I believe that was her name, very tall, very blonde, very rude. She proceeded to tell the girl that she could not give me my cash back and that it had to go back on my debit card. I said "oh no" I want my cash back, this is why I boycotted this store in the first place, and she the manager replied "oh, I know who you are" and I ask her what she meant by that and she said your the one who called and complained on us before, and I said yes, sure did. She was so rude and disrespectful and I am not a happy camper and things are still the same at the store. She did all of this in front of the new girl. She said do you know how much money we lose by people using their debit, and I said no and I don't care, not my problem, give me my cash back. She also said someone named desiree gave them a lot of grief for giving people their cash back. It's their cash! When she asked for my name and address I gave it to her and she said oh you live on my street. We happen to live on the same street, not your street. I am now fearful of retribution from her and not sure if she might do something to my house or car or what, but this is completely out of control, and I should not have to be fearful of her. I will hold cato personally responsible if something happens to me or my person by this employee. I can not believe how they treat people over you wanting your cash back instead of back on your debit when your debit is cash right then. I know other people who have stopped shopping at this location for this and other reasons as well, like smoking outside right in front of the store. The small blond headed women I saw do this myself. You can hear them talking about you or others when your shopping. I have never been treated so badly in my life. If I do take something back I always make sure it has tags on it and I always have my receipt. I will never shop here again and will tell my family and friends not to as well. Some people speak with their wallets and I am one of those and you are losing a good and loyal customer to the tune of about 7 grand a year I have spent in there. I have shopped with cato for years but will never, ever be back. I hope that you do something to this woman and the other staff about this because this is totally unacceptable and now I am very fearful of this women. She really talked to me terribly and made me feel awful. I want my name and address out of your system immediately! I do not want anyone else knowing my address for I am fearful they might try to get even for my contacting corporate. Lost customer forever...

Cato the manager of the store 192 shawnee ok discriminate me

I'm a value costumer in this store I travel from OKlahona City to Shawnee Ok to buy from this particular store because they have a great selccion the rest of the peraonal is nice but the mangar Thamara alway descriminate me and my familly, with her actitude, with her accions etc. Today did it one more time and I think in off is in off.
I'm sick to come to the store and have to take her deacrimination.
Shop sould be a nice experience not a bad one.

Cato credit card scam

I have had your store credit card for almost two years now and recently found out that I was automatically signed up for a magazine subscription that I did not request or confirm. I was told that I have to call the subscription company, but they never answer. I now supposedly owe over 200 dollars for a service that I did not request nor want. FIX this NOW!

Cato nothing good, bad customer service

It is sad that Cato's customer service is deteriorating to that poor level! Love CATO but this was the first time the customer service was terrible!
I was at the High Point store this past Sunday, and let me tell you, Sunday(2/18/18) workers need training, I was not at all impressed. I'm at the counter, two ladies are talking and paying no attention to me. I waited for a good five minutes, then I asked for assistance. Then, the tall White girl starts snatching my clothes as she is taking them off the hanger. Real RUDE! I walked out.
