Dr. Michele Gaspar of Cat Specialist of Chicago is the wrost vet. First Dr. Michele Gaspar of Cat Specialist of Chicago told my my kitten was in horrible shape and not worth living because it would noy make a good cat because of being hand raised. When I told her that it is comon in The Lynx hybrid breed Dr. Michele Gaspar of Cat Specialist of Chicago only seemed to get more angry. And basically implyed that he wasn't worth living.
Also Dr. Michele Gaspar of Cat Specialist of Chicago is writing positive reviews for herself on yelp.com . She is a lier. Do not trust her or take your cat to her. I know Dr. Michele Gaspar of Cat Specialist of Chicago is writing these reviews herself because Nancy L. of IL sent me a private message that is the EXACT same message KATIE S. of Oakville, Canada posted! How could two individually people from different countries say word for word the same post? Because they were posted by Dr. Gaspar or someone who works for her. Dr. Michele Gaspar of Cat Specialist of Chicago is a horrible person. If she would have just said to me I really can't give you advise that would have been fine, but She told me my kitten would die & was not worth messing with. She went on to tell me how horrible that he was but that she couldn't offer any advice. So she has the time to say how many negative things to me & also the time to say she doesn't care & basically that I shouldn't either. She told me that no vet would help me. Well Dr. Michele Gaspar of Cat Specialist of Chicago was wrong the very next vet I talked to spent a lot of time helping me & trying to figure out my kitten's problem. My kitten since tripled in weight and is doing fantastic. If I had listens to THIS horrible Dr. Michele Gaspar of Cat Specialist of Chicago I may have let him die. As Dr. Michele Gaspar of Cat Specialist of Chicago basically implied that he wasn't worth living. I will never listen to any advise from Dr. Michele Gaspar or anyone at the Cat Specialist of Chicago again. And I recomend others to stay away from Dr. Michele Gaspar of Cat Specialist of Chicago also.
I extremely disagree with this posting! I have been taking my pets to Dr. Gaspar for more many years. Even when I moved to the opposite side of town I still will make the trip to have her as a vet for my cat and my dog. I even met someone in my building that did the exact same thing. When my aged cats were ill she went beyond what a normal vet would do – she was available 24x7 via cell phone, offered to come to my place if I could not get across town to take them in. I highly recommend her as a vet ! 5 stars!
I couldn't agree more, Gaspar is an evil ### who actually had the audacity to write an article entitled "Can we forgive Kristen Lindsey", the ### who killed a cat with a bow and arrow and then bragged about it on Facebook...Gaspar is just as disgusting as Lindsey and should have her license torn into shreds by the Vet board.
I completely disagree with the negative review of Dr. Gaspar. She is a truly caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable veterinarian. I can only speak for first hand experiences-my cats, my mom's cats, & my grandma's cats are all in better health because of her and I cannot thank her enough.

The original complainant fails to disclose that she called Dr. Gaspar by phone, from another state, 600 miles away. The complainant also fails to disclose that she refused to bring the kitten in question to her own local veterinarian, as Dr. Gaspar had suggested to her. Dr. Gaspar couldn't examine the kitten over the phone. Dr. Gaspar is highly recommended by me and was the most compassionate and loving vet I have ever had the honor of knowing, to care for my cats. Most vets are apathetic and not friendly. Dr. Gaspar is just the opposite. I am appalled by the horrible lies spread by the complaining lady. Mary (Orland Park, IL)
I fine the above review of Dr. Gaspar a joke. There is no way she would ever act like that, it is not in her nature. I brought my 15 year cat Zoe to her after a year of battling with my regular vet on what was wrong with her. After a friend recommended Dr. Gaspar I finally went. Before we even met she spent over 45 mins on the phone with me while I explained what issues we were having and some options for me. Zoe never liked her carrier or going to the vet so she was pretty upset but the minute we met with Dr. Gaspar Zoe calmed down and let her examine her. I have never seen anything like that in 15 years! She did what ever she could to help me but in the end my girl was ready to go. I would have never made it through this ordeal without her. I recommend her to everyone cat owner I know, she is amazing!
This review is way off base. Dr. Gaspar spent two hours with me and my cats talking about preventive care for both of them. One has pretty serious bladder issues. Dr. Gaspar actually did tests that I think my previous vet should have done a year and a half ago. It's likely he just didn't have the knowledge that Dr. Gaspar has.
She's a lovely, caring, down to earth vet. Any cat would be lucky to be her patient, and any cat owner would be well advised to listen to her advice.
Dr Gaspar has taken care of one of my dogs, back when she was working at Roscoe Village Animal Hospital. I have to completely disagree with the person who filed a complaint against her. Dr Gaspar is the most thorough, caring & compassionate vet I have ever taken any of my pets to. I find it appalling that someone would go to such lengths as to post negative, untruthful, slanderous things about her all over the internet.
I recommend Dr. Gaspar to friends whenever I can. If we still lived in Chicago, we'd be still be taking all 3 of our pets to see her.
