Cash Connect FRAUD, HARRASSMENT

Today, 2/3/10 @ 10am a man named Claude Davis, who I suspect gave me a false name, called me and stated that he needed to speak to me regarding a urgent matter. I called him back and he stated that he was calling from a Lawyer's office and that I needed to pay back a Pay Day Loan, or I would be arrested Friday 2/5/10. I asked the guy the company name and what amount I owed. I informed the man that I did not owe any loans at this time. So I checked my bank records to verify that for sure. I called him back to get the contact info for this company. At this point he became very rude. He started cursing and saying lewd things. I called back and asked for management. He stated, he was the manager. He wouldn't even give me the name of the law firm. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING UNTIL YOU SEE PROPERTY DOCUMENTATION!

File a complaint with to the following with documented date/time/phone number/name of the rude person. Please see below:

Federal Trade Commissioner
State Attorney General’s Office
Better Business Bureau
National Consumers Leagues Fraud Center
WW.FRAUD.COM

If he calls again tell him assuming the identity of "attorney" is impersonating a federal, state or local authority and is punishable by jail time.

Tell them that they cannot call you anymore and that all correspondence must be in writing...they have to abide. If they do not, you can file a lawsuit against them and win $1, 000 for every occurrence where they violate the FDCPA.

Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.
Also, they do have to abide by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Tell them that they cannot call you anymore and that all correspondence must be in writing...they have to abide. If they do not, you can file a lawsuit against them and win $1, 000 for every occurrence where they violate the FDCPA...which would be each phone call after you inform them to stop calling you and correspond via mail.

Under the TCPA, a consumer has a right to file a lawsuit and recover $500 for each call that violates the TCPA. The TCPA can also be used in conjunction with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in some situations.
Once you find out who they are, inform them that you and your family are filing complaints with the FCC, Federal Trade Commission, your State's AG office and the BBB for harassment if the calls do not stop. You can also consider filing a lawsuit for violation of TCPA and FDCPA laws:

These people are bottom feeders and if we band together and report them to all who will listen, we can put them out of circulation.

Received a call this morning at 10-13-09. Caller left me a message said it was time sentive that i call him back, or i will be arrested. When i called back they stated i owed an outstanding loan. They called this morning -10-12-09, they stated there was a arrest warrant out for criminal crimes I committed by not paying back the loan they said they depositied.
