James is not only a reasonable, but a sensible and responsible person. I manage condos and oftentimes I find residents (mostly owners) often asking silly questions, oftentimes making unreasonable requests, and most of the time passing irresponsible remarks (even threats) when things don't go their way. Level of education, wealth, type of work, all these have nothing to do with their unwavering bad attitude - it is in their blood. It's simply a case of bad character. Nothing more. No amount of courtesy or explanation will convince such ###s that they are not right. I simply deal with such ###s the harsh way. Just tell them as a matter of fact that they are not always right just because they are the residents. And when they see that you really mean it, you know what you are doing, and don't take nonsense from nobody, they'll respect you. Some people are just not fit to live in condos - they should stay in graveyards. Likewise, some ###s are also not fit to manage condos.
In this case, levying a parking fee in the interest of the MAJORITY of the residents makes perfect sense. People who object are usually the ones who think they are king just because they live there and pay the management fund, special account, etc etc. These are just bums who happen to have a few dirty dollars and think they can rule the world. To them I've this to say - They can kiss my ###.
