I have been dealing with this company for almost a year and it has gotten me nowhere! Carweek hired me to do marketing for them back in November 2010. It was very pleasant and I wasn't micro-managed by the owner either. Everything was going fine. Then we put the campaign on hold in December for the holidays and planned to resume in January. That month my mother had gotten diagnosed with cancer and I started in February instead since I was traveling back and forth.
When I return the owner emails me asking where we stood and whats going on. He knew my mother had cancer and told him I wasn't starting up until Feb, he was fine with that. So when I return I email him several times, trying to get an idea of our direction because I needed more info, and if any leads I had gotten came in. No response. Never answered the phone, or email. I must have contacted him 3 or 4 times a day for the whole month. So no response, I figured i guess we're done. April rolls around and I get a chargeback!!! He claimes his accounting department audited him and he can't do anything about it. Not only did I lose money from him, but other clients as well since the chargeback, my 1st and only after 7 years in business, stalled up my merchant account. I lost over $4, 000 in business.
So they asked that I provide them with the work I did so far which I did. The deadline was April 8th, and never complied, so I lost that money. His "accounting" dept never responded to me, nor did they pick up the phone. To me it smells like a scam and this guy is just too damn cheap and lies out of his rear end. While dealing with this bs of trying to get my money back, my mother passes away.
After I return, I find out that his accounting dept made a decision not to issue the money back for no reason. Really...no reason at all. They asked for all the work I did, I gave it to them and they didn't respond at all. They gave no reason why I should get the funds back.
So now i'm taking this court and having to shell out more money. What turned out to be a $600 job, is gonna cost them well over $4k that I lost because of them!!!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CARWEEK.COM!!! THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS!!! THEY LIE, STEAL, CHEAT OR DO WHATEVER THEY HAVE TO, TO MAKE A $$. HORRIBLE!!!
