After seeing so many times the TV commercials for Carnival Kia that says that with $149 and a job can be sold any car on the lot and since looking for a car decided to visit the dealership so did went on February 13, 2010.

When arrived was not even offered to look/test drive any car to see if might like any and find out the prices and such but immediately the sales representative took the information and to run our credit. We told her about a recent bankruptcy chapter 7 filing that everthing was cleared and discharged. Said that no problem since they deal with banks that specialize in high risk and bankruptcy so that is no problem.

After waiting there for a while all we was told that there was something in the credit report that couldn't allow to get approved by NO bank. After asking how could that be said that they can't say because are not given the specific reason.

Was given a creditrepair informational postcard which was told that by going to the web site indicated there can request the credit report from the 3 credit agencies and that way find out what is there and also work on fixing it. Was also told that most people when work on it and fix it can come back in 30 days and get approval.

When got home accessed this web site and requested the 3 credit reports. After viewing the credit reports everything showed up normal and nothing really bad. Everything that was supposed to had been included in the bankruptcy filing was showing as suppose to be and no more debt owe and such. Couldn't see why was completelly denied approval by any of the banks that Carnival Kia deals with including the ones that offer high risk and special programs for people with discharged bankruptcies.

I sent a general e-mail which I received a response by Chris Bostick, the owner of the dealership(s) in which he told me in general that approval wasn't possible and to fix my credit report. I asked about what the commercial meant about the $149 dollars down and a job that he advertises on TV all the time and he told me that was with approved credit.

I told him that then no one gets approved since this days and how things are with the economy and in general not easy to find people with perfect credit and everyone has either a bankruptcy and/or late payments on something or such.

If at the end was actually "with approved credit" and if they actually dealt with banks that offer programs for people with bankruptcies and others then would have gotten approved no matter what. I have seen other car dealerships that advetise such and known people to get approved no matter what. In this case shows that in a way the TV commercial it is not true and accurate since $149 and a job DOES not gets you any of their cars in Carnival Kia lot as he advertises on TV.

I also asked him what did he meant by what he says each time: "Don't you leave until you see me". In case that meant something like he can do something to get you a deal or something but all he told me what that simply meant was to be able to thank customers by going by the dealership.

In conclusion, being that nothing on the credit report that shows to prevent from getting financing, shows that there is something "odd and strange" about Carnival Kia dealerships. If they had actually dealt with banks that do special programs and the dealership wanted to actually make a sale, which they are not, they would have banks that would done the financing.

This is why the $149 dollars and a job commercial it is false. Specially when also when first called over the phone to ask about it and the sales person that spoke to said that it was true and even told about the bankruptcty said too that wouldn't be a problem.

At this time I am looking into other dealerships that offer the special financing and such and also have contacted some and been told that can get approved.

This shows me not to deal with Kia ever again and to stay away from and also not to refer anyone to them. On an additional note about dealing with Kia, I had a 1997 Kia Sephia when they first came out which had many problems with that car and ended up lemon law and the dealer buying it back after an arbitration proceedings. Not too long ago decided to look at another Kia dealership in Panama City, FL where is I used to live before moving not too long ago to the Middle Tennessee area and unfortunally at that dealership had problems too and also horrible treatement. Ended up going to another dealership (Dodge) and ended up buying a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan with no problem. This time since been long and looked that Kia had improved since bought by GM the cars looked better. From this recent experience seems that it does not matters and the Kia Dealers are not helping to Kia the company in general to sale their cars.

It is a shame that this happens and businesses and their employees do this and treat people that way.

P.S. Just today I saw a new TV commercial for Carnival Kia where he advertises honesty and respect. Well he better teach his employees that better because that was not also what I received on the recent visit to Carnival Kia.

So there you have it, seems that the "credit report" was just an excuse perhaps not to deal with us or something. Maybe that is why advertises so much on TV. On average is one of the local dealers that advertises the MOST. That could be why !

I just had a horrible experience with the Carnival cruise lines (Elation). We had a party of 32 people. Departed Sunday 2/15/09 at 5:30 pm. I was impressed with the room setting. We had 5 people in my cabin (U197) 6th floor. There were 2 above pull out beds one king size bed and a cot. I slept on the cot which was extremely comfortable. We were headed to Catalina island ans Ensenada Mexico. Unfortunately we were unable to sail into Catalina the following day due to extreme weather conditions so our schedule was switched around. Instead we spent the first day out at at sea. The first day was lovely. Very nice view, excellent dinner and fun entertainment in the Casino, the the horror begins the following day. On day 2, I was beginning to realize that the Sail and sign cards were a ripoff. They charged me everytime I needed to get money out of my account. Most services would only accept sail and sign cards. What they don't tell you is they automatically take 20% off each drink or service that you get. Myself not knowing that, was tipping the servers on top of that. The cards are confusing when it comes to playing the slots and what not. (I prefer to tip my servers to my satisfaction). I wasn't happy with all the service I recieved and don't feel it was fair that I had to tip "everybody" 20%. I was very upset when I recieved an itemized statement the next day which is how i found out about the tipping situation. I brought it up to the Purser desk's attention and they deducted 40.00 from the service grautity fee, yet they left the itemized tips that were deducted. Which left the tips out for the dinner servers, maid etc. Even though both sides averaged about 40.00 it was still unfair that the deduction was taken from the workers. I would of rather tipped the servers on my own individually. So I ended up paying the 20% per server and what I added on top of that which totalled about 80.00 worth of tips. I was not happy with that at all. I also got charged 5.00 tips on an item that I never tipped. they did deduct that, however some of the servers were not very honest. Each time I wanted to gamble i had to pay a fee to use my sail and sign card. they refused my ATM. If I used my ATM it would cost me 5.00 each time. If I used Sail and sign it would cost me 1.50. yes of course that is better but it isnt fair we get charged to use our cards on the ship when we have no choice. I spent approximately 15.00 just in charges to use my sail and sign card. Luckily I had enough money in my bank account but I wasn't expecting to spend that much money. By using that sail and sign card, it is very difficult to keep track of what is coming out of your bank account, even when they send statements to your room you could still overspend and not even know it. My final bill without souveniors was 400.00. Just for myself. Which in cluded one night of cocktails, a beverage fun pass, and a few night of gambling. With the souveniours, I spent over 600.00 on that cruise not including my fair. I was not happy at all and was only intending to spend about 300-400.00. The gift shops sales are a ripoff. They say you can buy 2 hats for 20.00 or 2 for 20.00. Most hats only cost 10.00 anyway, so in other words they force you to buy 2. Same with clothing like 65.00 for 2 sweat shirts. You cant just buy one. for half the price. Not one single toilet on the ship had seat cover for sanitary reasons. The room service was quick however, you were only able to order sandwich's. The only late night food available after hours was Pizza! That's it! Just pizza! Unfair for gluctose intolerant patients. The buffet was extremely small with very little choices and the food was not all that great. The dining food was not all that great either. I had one appetizer that i was very satisfied with and a particular steak dinner. One dinner consisted of prive rib with onion rings on it. I thought it was tacky! The beverage server at dinner was very slow. the matrde came to our table once through the whole trip and just said hi. Guess i was expected to tip him for that! It took 5 times to get a fruit salad order correct. The casino was inconsistantly opened and closed. The maid service consisted of clean towels and beds made. Thats it. No clean glasses, no supplie refills or anything. We got 1 bar of soap for 5 people 2 razors (1 man 1 woman) and a small pack of tooth paste. There was no tissues or anything. There was only one outlet in the whole cabin so with 4 people in that room with cell phones, it was very hard to charge each battery and use the outlet for blow dryers and other accessories as well. I was appalled that it was okay for a child to play and win money at bingo (gambling) but the children could not sing Karoake. It didnt make sense. the excuse from the purserer was very lame. I was angry because that child who won at bingo (7yr old 240.00) should not have been able to gamble. An adult could have won that money like me or some other lucky player. Kids should not have been allowed to play. But they should have been able to sing. Just odd how that worked. The final day at sea was the worset because while we were in mexico, the ship was all shut down, (no casino, no gift shops, entertainment etc). All we could do was either swim in the cold or take naps. there was nothing to do. i chose not to go into the town in Mexico. That night everything finally opened at 10 pm. The casino closed at 2:30 am. I was pissed. When I got to my room, I ordered room service and they refused to serve on the final night. They rushed everybody off the ship the following morning. I paid 3 days worth of sodas but only got 2. It was supposed to be 6.00 a day. I paid 18.00 for 2 days! I will never go on the carnival cruiseline again. if you feel like getting ripped, Bon Vyage with them. Foolish. they are ripoffs! 600.00 down the drain with nothing to show for. Ruined my Valentines day holliday. They will suck into your debt card so make sure you bring plenty of cash. I have more to add, but i am so mad I dont feel like sharing any furthet. They suck! Bottom line!

Sailed on the Conquest out of New Orleans on 11Aug13 for a 7 day cruise to Roatan, Belieze, and Cozemel. The dining room service was, well, extremely poor. I've had better service at McDonalds - and I don't eat McDonalds!, . Never once did I see the Maitre'D nor the assistant Maitre 'D. Never once did ANY one in charge of the dining room ever stop by my table to introduce themselves or anything! Worst of all, we got charged a gratuity for this clown! Have complained directly to Carnival but have yet to receive a response! Doesn't surprise me. This was not my first Carnival cruise but will be my LAST one for a LONG while! I'll return to Holland America or Royal Carribean!

I bought a Kia soul in 2009, I went in to get 0%, my credit was perfect but they said they weren't sure why but I was only able to get 0.5. I said I wanted 48 months but 54 months was the best they could do. The stupid thing I did was believe the guy As he told me these things he laid down the contract and I signed it. They lie through their teeth here, stay away. The contract was 6.5 for 60 months when I got home and actually read it.

Visited Carnival Kia on Sunday to purchase a car for my daughter after seeing the ad on television. After a credit check(850 rated) we were quoted a price on a used 2010 KIA. It was a Sunday and we were unable to get a coverage figure from our insurance company. We did an on-line check with Liberty Mutual and the price was more than the car payment. I asked the salesman if I could leave a deposit on the car until Monday when a accurate insurance quote could be given. I was told they do not take deposits but I could contact them on Monday if we still wanted the car. I was interested in financing the car from Carnival but my daughters grandmother wanted to check for lower APR through her Credit Union. The rate was 2% APR cheaper to finance through the Credit Union with my daughters grandmother as the buyer and her as the co-buyer ( I was only visiting and could not complete the purchase while in town). I spoke with the salesman at Carnival when my daughter and grandmother returned on Monday and was told they never really ran the figures while I was there only "penciled in" whatever that means? (as we were there for 5 hours). Even with a much lower APR the payment only dropped $15.00 per month from $225.00 to $215.00. When we calculated the difference it came to $2, 080 lower over the term of the loan. My daugher was then told the price of the car had gone up (since Sunday) and the $3, 000 dollar trade allowance had been dropped to $1, 500 dollars. NO DEAL ! BUYER BEWARE! DON'T SHOP HERE THE PRICES/RULES CHANGE EVERY TIME YOU TALK TO THEM! BUYER BEWARE!

You people are totally [censor]ed . . . you can't even spell correctly! No wonder you have bad credit and old Mr. Bostick didn't want to give you financing. You went bankrupt, you illiterate fools! Yours is only one side of the story . . . I'm sure if I saw your credit reports I wouldn't loan you anything either.

As far as anyone knows, Mr. Bostick and family run a fair and reputable business. They must be doing well . . . if you see their new commercial, it looks like Mrs. Bostick got a new set of boobs for Christmas! Those puppies aren't cheap!
