Carnival Cruise Lines refund

Hello- I was scheduled (single) on a 5 day cruise from Tampaon 9 / 10/18. I fell August 30 th and broke my hip and had an emergency partial replacement. On aug 31, 2018. I called carnival on 9/2/18 my first day homesnd I was told I would have a refund of $158.00 of a $1198.00 amount. I was hoping someone could review and maybe increase my refund, $500.00 was a gift card from my son and grandkids. I don't want to tell them I lost the money for the trip they sent me. I did not buy insurance as this is my first broken bone and I am never sick and did not want it. I will include a photo of the surgical site.

Carnival Cruise Lines passport card vs passport book; refund

My family planned a trip to Cuba on September 26 th. Before the cruise, Carnival sent me an email to register for the cruise. While registering, Carnival allow me and gave me the option to use either a Passport card or Passport card. While continuing to register, I submitted my daughters Passport card not to my knowledge that it wasn't going to be accepted to enter the cruise ship on the day of the cruise. We had to travel from New Jersey to Tampa, Fl to take the cruise. When entering the terminal, they withheld my daughter from entering and turned her away without no explanation. I asked the representative the reason and she stated that the card wasn't accepted and she had to leave the terminal. I asked to speak to supervisor but she denied to speak to us. There were two other guests to happened to carry the card instead do the to book and was also turned away. I contacted guest solutions and Beth was no help at all. She twisted the situation around and made it seem as if was my fault and my travel agent. Just for your information, Carnival website has nothing to do with either of us but the problem of Carnival. She stated, "What do you us to do, change our website?" Does Carnival teach their employees ethics and customer service? We work very hard to go on a trip, it wasn't given to us especially a 20 year old who was left in Tampa by herself because I wasn't able to afford airline ticket back home. The cruise was worse since I spent most of time crying for my daughter and I went to all routes on the cruise, they chose to brush me off even hotel supervisor.
The resolution that I am seeking: a refund for the cruise.
* most importantly, update the website were it blocks the option of the Passport card.
*A "warning" when traveling to Cuba, you are not permitted to use a Passport card.

Carnival Cruise Lines carnival glory cruise line

These are the events that occurred on Tuesday August 28th upon the Carnival Glory where I was assaulted. Let it be known that when I did the Carnival Cruise survey they have all of this information which I also sent them. And I still have not heard back from them.

This was our first cruise we had ever taken. We were travelling with other family members, 14 in total, 10 Adults and 4 teenagers ranging in age from 13 to 16. We boarded the carnival Glory in Miami on August 25 which we had flown into Fort Lauderdale the previous day August 24 and spent the night there. Then we hired a shuttle to take us to Miami on Saturday the 25th morning to board the boat. Upon boarding the ship we were amazed as we had never been on a cruise ship before. The first three days were very pleasant. Good food, good entertainment and very relaxing. On Tuesday August 28 we spent the day in Routan on a beach. We went back on ship around 6:30 and decided to go to dinner. While we were walking down the hallway My wife and I saw a young man coming in the opposite direction cursing very loudly and saw him punch a door. We were not sure if he was intoxicated or high but he was very angry. There was a worker in the hallway where we were standing and the man approached me and was yelling "you looking for trouble" which I replied no absolutely not and then the man chest butted me and I went back against the wall. Again I repeated I didn't want any trouble. As I had said before there was a worker right there and saw this. The attacker which I will now refer to him as turned and walked away continuing down the hallway. There were people in the hallway also at this time. Still stunned from this incident my wife and I proceeded to the elevators. AS we approached the elevators he appeared from around the corner. When he saw me he said to me "So you don't want any trouble eh?" I said no I do not want any trouble but the attacker didn't back down and he started yelling foul language and called me a chicken because I didn't want to fight. At this point I agreed and told him whatever you say. Then the attacker started to walk away continuing to yell and scream at which time I turned to push the elevator button and suddenly he attacked me from behind punching me several times in the back of the head. When I put my hands up to protect myself the attacker swung at my face hitting my nose and lip causing him to lose his balance and fall to the floor . hen he got up and started to jump around but before he had another chance to take a swing at me another gentleman grabbed him and tried to restrain him. But the attacker managed to free himself and fled down the hallway. Minutes later Security showed up and I told her I was attacked so she told me to stay there and went off to find the attacker. I waited with my wife for several minutes but was concerned for the safety of my granddaughter and other family members so we went to locate them. When we found them we explained what had happened and then proceeded to guest services as we needed to talk to security. While we were waiting at guest services there was a gentleman there also (His name was Richard Carpenter) who had also had an altercation with a gentleman on the same floor and called 911. IT turned out it was the same gentleman who attacked me. We waited for the Security Supervisor for at least one half hour to at least 45 minutes. Our family was also with us. The security showed up and spoke with us. THey asked about the incident which we explained what happened and asked if we wanted to press charges. I had to fill out an assault report. I said yes I did want to press charges because I did not want my attacker running around loose on the boat as I was in fear for our safety. Then Security asked where did I want to press charges. And she recommended that we wait until we docked in Miami because that was the only way security could help us which turned out to be untrue as we found out when we docked. She asked if I needed medical attention and I said yes as there was blood on my shirt and my head and neck were throbbing. She took me and my wife down to the medical center for treatment. When we arrived there we filled out a report to see a doctor explaining my injuries. While we were waiting for assistance the staff repeatedly kept going into a room where the attacker was restrained to a stretcher because he was yelling and cursing. In short the medical center was very chaotic and after waiting a long time I was finally seen and they checked me over and told me to just rest and they would recheck my vitals in a little while. While I was resting I could hear the attacker still yelling and then a lady was brought in and they put her on the stretcher beside me. The nurse asked if I could leaveand come back in the morning as they were in a hectic state. The doctor gave me aspirin for my headache and neck. I left but did not sleep very well. In the morning I went back very early and the doctor checked my neck and gave me balm crème. And then said to come back the next day to get my doctors report which I did.

After all this chaos and incident our family felt very unsafe and I was in pain for the rest of the week. We were very disappointed in the way we were treated as no one made any attempt to keep in touch with us to see how we were doing and did not give us any updates on this attack. In order to get any updates on the attacker I had to go to guest services repeatedly and wait in line for more than an hour everytime to talk to security.

At one point I asked if I should talk to the captain to report this incident at which point the security guard told me that they wanted to keep the situation internally. And he informed me that everybody knew.

Needlees to say we had no Idea what had happened to the attacker and felt very unsafe and stressed for the rest of our cruise. When you plan a vacation which such a large family you would never expect something like this to happen on a boat. Ane this also affected all our family members.

In closing I want to say that we felt we were treated very shabbily and our family would never travel with Carnival Cruise Lines ever again.

Carnival Cruise Lines past excursion/ current booking

September 2017 I went on an excursion, in which the bus driver did NOT drop us off at our location. This made us almost an hour late and we did not receive the correct/proper training. I could not successfully scuba dive. We skipped over a lot of stuff. Therefore, I mentioned this and still did not get what I was told to expect as far as a refund.

Fast forward to now, I decided to give carnival a second chance. After the cruise has been paid in full months prior to its due date, I can't get a refund. I have recently went through a divorce in which I ended up having to my on my own. He wouldn't help. He isn't paying child support and I have accrued all debt. Therefore, my mother and I have got to cancel the trip and they want to charge a $300.00 cancellation fee?!?!?! Hello Hardship ----- what does that even mean to carnival. I need assistance with raising three children!

A $300 cancellation fee is reasonable.

Hello? Hardship? You should have thought about hardship PRIOR to booking your trip. You could have fed your kids for several months, for what it costs to take a cruise.

What a selfish, selfish, parent! Money that could be used for your kids, is going on a cruise, while you are getting divorced?

That's just so low of you.

Carnival Cruise Lines unauthorized credit card charges

Almost 2 months ago me and my son were on one of your cruises to the Bahamas.
You charged my credit card 100$ as a deposit saying I will get it back a week after the cruise is over . Two months later and nothing, I filled out the form on your web site twice, I went personally to the Bank and they know nothing about any refund .
This charge is illegal because I did not get any service for it and you never gave it back .
I want to get it back as a credit on my credit card, the same card you charged me over a 1, 000$ for the cruise, a.s.a.p

Carnival Cruise Lines toilet back up

Spent the last 7 days on the Breeze, most disgusting spell in our spa room 11222. Toilets backed up, in shower. Smell was horrible, called our Stewart he kept apologizing, I know it wasn't his fault but it was so nasty for a vacation! Then people on our floor started talking everyone's were backed up and carnival gave some rooms credit, some back packs, we all had the same issue, and we didn't get even a room freshener! Why would you not do the same for everyone that had the same issue? Very disappointed differently not the fun time with best vacation garentee we experienced!

Carnival Cruise Lines poor organization skills

I just returned home from a 7 day cruise Carnival Glory leaving August 25, there were several occasions that caused me to lose over 6 hours of my cruise in a line waiting to speak to someone from customer services. We were a total of 14 traveling together, the purpose of our trip was to spread the ashes of my deceased wife.
Four of my family members had errors on their cards throughout our cruise where they could not make purchases because their information was recorded incorrectly.
Then on day three my 60yr old brother gets attacked by a 20 yr old drunk that jumped him from behind punching him in the head and face. How the security team handled the incident was poorly done while our family was fearing for our younger members not knowing if they may get jumped as well, left us all uncomfortable and ruined most of the trip.
Then I see the arcade room and saw the price for young children to play arcade games, then getting charged for gratuities on my credit card without my consent which put my credit card company in alert mode causing all my sign and sail cards unusable. until I was able to contact my credit card company and rectify, though had the Carnival people simply contacted me first this would have been avoided.
Not to mention the fact that automatically charging gratuities gives the servers and bartenders their tips regardless of their performance.
There were a number of servers that were rude and ignored our requests making us wait, I say us because it happened to more than one in our group.
overall I think Carnival should change it's name to "Carnival Greed"
My family and I will be sharing our experience and my brother and his wife will be contacting a lawyer as well as local newspapers to make others aware of how Carnival treats their passengers.
and will never travel with "Carnival Greed" again.

Carnival Cruise Lines beds in our rom

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

last week (24.8.-27.8.18) we were on a Carnival Victory cruise (3 adults) from Miami to Nassau. Actually we have booked a room for three people and three bed of course. But the third bed was only a folding bed, not in the same size as the others. This was really uncomfortable and therefore a really disappointing occurence for us. We told the guest service, but there were no kind and helpful at all. We wish you to compensate this confrontation.

Carnival Cruise Lines airfare

Booked airfare with cruise thru Carnival, Thought it would be easy to book airfare with cruise, Part of return flight was cancelled and I filed a claim on July 4th. Was just informed Carnival does not refund airfare. Its in the fine print and was not told of this when flight was booked. What a Scam, total dishonesty and basically I paid for a service that was refunded to them but not to me per American Airlines.

Carnival Cruise Lines $800.00 was taken from me because I had to cancel cruise because I am very sick

I was charged $883.00 because I had to cancel a cruise that was paid in full in march of 2018. I just talked to an advisor from phone number [protected] she asked me to email you all at carnival so that I can get a 1 time credit towards another cruise next year. I went on carnival conquest last year. My booking number is 8bg4n7. I thought the insurance was for medical in case something happened to me on cruise. It was not explained to me by travel agent. My agent said I was charged the fees of $883.00 because I had to cancel a cruise that I paid off early in full in march of this year 2018. I was told that I could get a 1 time credit because of my sever health conditions. My phone number is [protected]. My address is 919 delmar avenue apt #202 memphis tennessee 38105. I did not have control of my health to turn into my conditions. I have heart disease now, an infection in my esophagus, gout, acid reflux and none of these are curable. I was looking forward to my cruise in october. Please allow me to be credited for a future cruise. I really enjoyed my cruise last year. I have a surgery coming up in 2 weeks that I have to undergo anesthesia and recover afterwards. I have been in the hospital several times in the past 4 months that I did not have control over. My booking # is bg4n7. The advisor that I apoke to said that next time I book a cruise, to be sure to get insurance. I am on disability and I just cannot give carnival $883.00. I am 56 years old and I do not have any one to help me. Please allow me a credit towards a cruise next year. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks ahain in advance. Bonita bobo. I am sorry for the capital letters & some misspelled words. I am requesting a credit for the fees that I was charged of $800.00. the advisor at the phone number [protected] said that I can get a 1 time credit of the fees charged to a future cruise. I am disabled and very sick at this time. I am a widow and I am on disability. please give me a credit for this 1 time. I enjoyed my cruise last year on carnival conquest.

Carnival Cruise Lines changes done to trip not updated on my profile causing issues

Order of itinerary was changed after excursions where booked. Was told information would up date and match no order. My excursions still reflect old order causing an issue with being able to book other excursions. Also price of some of the excursions is higher then when I booked my excursions. Instead of Carnival correct my information customer service stated to cancel and rebook my excursions. Asked if I would be price matched as I paid a cheaper rate. Was told they couldn't do that. Each time ive called I have been told to wait as my cruise is not until next year. I don't see why my issues cannot be addressed and corrected now. I have been unable to get carnival to fix my information to finish booking excursions and book excursions for other people in my group.

Carnival Cruise Lines waste in stateroom

Just returned on 08/24/2018 from Carnival Victory out of Miami to Nassau for our 18th anniversary needed a quick getaway. It was for the most part a decent trip. Ride was smooth, check in process great, food good. My major complaint which I was unable to lodge with the housekeeping because no phone was answered and Guest Service was just too long --was on the morning of our debarkation- we decided to just leave the ship as soon as I could when we arrived in port - due to an extremely foul stench in our stateroom from waste- yes- waste coming up into the shower area and floor( see pictures). It was gross, we could not shower and had to place towels on the floor to brush our teeth. No one answered my repeated calls to Housekeeping and Guest service lines were long from people settling bills. We were disgusted and just left with no shower, no breakfast. Also, on another note, at night the smell of marijuana permeated in the halls on our floor - 7th. I am an independent travel agent and chances of my referring future clients to this line are slim. I would not want anyone to experience that at all.

Carnival Cruise Lines refund

We had to cancel our cruise because of a unforeseen problem at our home. We had a major leak in our upstairs bathroom. Our shower pipe was cracked as well as the tub, which leaked down into our kitchen ceiling and light fixtures. The cost was what we were taking our cruise with. I can provide photos and the cost of repairs for your review. We were refunded all but $500.00. We would like to retrieve this refund.

Our cancellation number was 3XBP08, our cruise was scheduled for October 13, 2018 and we cancelled on August 15, 2018.

My name is Tammy Souders and my booking number is 7CSB25 and I am booked on the Carnival Horizon ship to depart on 5/16/2020. Due to my husband Ronald Souders Jr passing away on 10/18/2019, he can not travel with me and I requested to have his sister added on to sail in his place and I was charged a $250.00 cancelation fee to add her on to sail in his place. This was an act of god and no one could for see his death and I do not feel I should have been charged a cancelation fee in this case. Attached is a copy of Ronald Souders death certificate.

Carnival Cruise Lines carnival canceled our cruise that was paid in full on travelocity

We booked at Carnival Cruise for Port of Mobile Alabama to Bahamas back in September 2017 to go with my brother, Retired Light Colonel, Kirk Boothe. We paid $1, 250 as a deposit and we were at first going with our children. My brother passed away in February of 2018. I called in June the travelocity site to cancel the children. They did. After purchasing excursions for our cruise over the last few months, about $600 and the rest of the cruise for a total $1, 575.00 that the Carnival Cruise line out of Port of Mobile, Alabama has canceled our room, and gave us a reimbursement for some of the excursions I have already paid for. I spent half the day talking on the phone to Travelocity representative who did nothing, and Carnival Cruises, who did nothing. We deserve our money back and the Carnival Cruise Lines Con Artist Act should not be servicing the Port of Mobile. I have read a serious amount of very sad, consumer reviews of those who were ripped off for no services, like we were from both of these Internet companies, and wish I had read them last year. This is a total disgrace as is akin to a ponzi scheme. I was reimbursed $403.08. I paid $1575.03. I was not reimbursed for $160.08 of excursion fees that we can't take. So, the total amount of $1, 232.11 is still owed to us.

Carnival Cruise Lines immigration status

I was scheduled to sail with my family on the 18th to 25th of Aug I traveled with carnival cruise line in the past and I just used my NYC license so I assumed it was ok so I did walk with my passport. I did have a photo of it on my phone. When I went to check in I was taken to a room like a criminal and asked several questions. I gave my passport $ and showed them the picture . After a long wait they told me I cannot board my 2 children started crying and because of the money I spent paying for the cruise my husband n kids went along without me. I am a citizen and they turned me away I was at the way I was treated since I cruise with carnival several times.

Am asking if I can get a refund or use the funds toward another cruise. Because there was no need to turn me away or allowed me to go through a traumatic experience in front my family.
I would appreciate any help you can provide to this solution

Carnival Cruise Lines charged extremely when changing date due to operation and wound not healing in time, guest not being able to attend vacation

Originally planned a carnival cruise for October 23rd to October 27th 2017. I had to change date due to having a severe operation with tibia being cut in half with a rod and screw placed internally . Which had to be changed due to needing a wound vac and possible infection if not staying on in home nurses and home bound. The date was changed to February 5th 2018. I was charged additional cost to have to change. On February 5th when checking into long beach California with my friend/escort with my crutches and needing a wheel chair my friend was denied access due to just having a California drivers license and passport not up to date and not receiving birth certificate in time in the mail, had to be mailed due to year of birth 1958. Which had tried earlier and only being mailed. I was given a guest care department business card and asked to call. When calling they said" the only thing I could do is apply to reviews at carnival .com" My operation was August 17th 2017 and only being released from trauma surgeon in August of 2018. Yes it has taken one year to finally to be released. I was very disappointed in never no questioner or concern in being charged excessively and having to cancel and ruin my recovery vacation. Booking number was 6WL2F3. I even had applied for the carnival cruise mastercard which after paying off I will most likely travel with another cruise line. Due to lack of concern for individuals that go thru hardship and unseen circumstances. Thank you wish my experience would have been better

Carnival Cruise Lines pool closure

Carnival Cruise Lines, I am a mother of 3 daughters ranging from the age of 6-9 and they loving cruising just as much as we do. They look forward to swimming the most on the cruise. On the first day of the cruise, Carnival Ecstasy, the pool was packed mainly with adults consuming alcohol...which is perfectly fine to an extend. There was one adult in which consumed way more than they should have in which resulted in them vomiting into the pool. For that reason the crew members had to shut down the pool from about 5 pm until the next morning. While I understand why the pool was closed as it needed to be cleaned for the safety and sanitization of the guest, I do think that the crew members have a responsibility to make sure that if an adult is intoxicated that they do not continue to server them alcohol or ask that they refrain from swimming while consuming. This was a big let down for my daughters who looked forward to swimming into the evening hours the first day.

Carnival Cruise Lines cleanliness / internet

Where do I begin? = Cruise / Carnival Conquest - 8/6/18 to 8/11/18 Booking 3BJT39 / Stateroom 7404

The purpose of this cruise was for us to spend time with our boy who is in the Army & being deployed in a few months to Afghanistan. 1st - the ship is showing wear and I understand that being in the hospitality industry. This is something that can be overlooked by excelling in other areas which did not occur. I DO NOT understand or accept filth - 1st morning breakfast for the buffet, we were up at 5am and went for coffee and had to wait to 7:30am (which the staff enforced) for a hot breakfast (not continental). While having our coffee we noticed areas on the floor with food and waited for the staff to pick it up - which they did not. Staff oblivious to the cleanliness of the areas and tables. Went to smoking area with our coffee, came back for refill and went back till breakfast. 7:30 - food still on floor. Went to buffet, came and sat down - all tables were not wiped. We finally got the attention of a male server and he picked up the food and wiped the tables. This was a common occurrence every day / every meal. Then on the last day - I had purchased the internet as I had to confirm shuttles, pre-boarding passes, cancel reservations, etc... (my boy had purchased it earlier in the week to download a program which he was unable to do). Being that my business was standard and email - there should have been no problems - WRONG! From the time of purchase throughout the WHOLE DAY - I WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM ANYTHING. I tried 5th floor computers, Lobby computers - NOTHING. Went and retrieved my laptop and tried - nothing. I asked many employees for assistance (Stefan, Jaime, Serhi, Guest Services, passing by employees, etc..) Stefan was the most help - there was 8-10 of us on the 5th floor and he tried for like over an hour to help us. He was finally able to get through for a guest with their boarding pass but no one else. I was told to try the library, to try guest services, to walk with my laptop on the different floors, to try to take it on the top floor, on the buffet floor... everywhere . I finally signed off with 16hrs & 36min left because I passed the deadline for cancellations and confirmations. for almost 8 hours I tried to get through - I even tied up one of the computers on the 5th floor and going back and forth with my laptop.
I wasted my whole last day of my cruise trying to take care of items that needed to be done with no being able to accomplish anything (I have plenty of computer shots to show you as well). Then ti make matters worse - I missed lunch and the chocolate extravaganza as well (when I asked the staff about it - they informed me it was over).
Also - on one of the days after the room was made up - we could not locate the remote for the TV. I searched and searched and unable to locate it. After about 20 min. I attempted to call Housekeeping- no answer. I then tried Maintenance - no answer. Then Guest Services - on hold forever and then hung up on. 1 HOUR OF FRUSTRATION - I finally hung up and went on the balcony. When I was coming back inside - I spotted the remote on the windowsill but the curtain was closed and we did not see it.

Do not offer internet and inform your agents that it is not available. According to your staff - this was an ongoing problem and all they could do was apologize. When I asked if upper management was aware - all staff stated that they knew because it was a constant problem. I have SEVERAL PICTURES but system is not allowing me to download / attach. Please provide me an email where I can send them too.

Carnival Cruise Lines cancelled cruising 9 days away from cruising

We were to sail next Sunday from New Orleans and our room was cancelled and all our monies returned to our credit cards. I believe it was due to an misunderstanding between a bartender and myself on the Hawaiian in December 2017. I want to apologize for my behavior towards the bartender for I had too much to drink at that time and I meant no harm to anyone.

I am asking that you reconsider your decision to revoke my present cruise and allow me and my wife to resume our vacation that sails in less than one week. I want you to tell the bartender that I am sincerely sorry and that It will never happen again.We have been sailing with Carnival for over seventeen years and would like to continue our relationship with Carnival cruise lines

Carnival Cruise Lines missed my cruise due to airline cancellation

On August 4, 2018 me and my sister were due to travel on Carnival Sensation for a 5 day cruise. Unfortunately our flights were cancelled from NYC to Miami on 8/3/18 and a rebooked flight on 8/4/18 was cancelled also. Tried to get another flight to the first cruise port but there were none getting there in time to board the boat in time. I am requesting a refund reebook anything because we both lost a lot of money due to this situation. Just want to be able to enjoy my vacation that i missed very upset and frustrated. can send in supporting documentation if that helps in any way
