CarId never again

I would never rely on them again judging by the way they treat customers. I used to order items from them sometimes and every time the situation was the same. After I ordered I usually got an email from them saying that my package would arrive then and then. But it never did on time. They always delayed the shipping and I can't describe how irritating it was. They asked me to wait one more week.
No, thank you, guys, I better go shopping elsewhere.

CarId buy elsewhere

I placed a very simple order with 2 items in stock and didn't receive any shipping confirmation no matter how many times I asked for it. Now I want a refund and have no idea how long it will take knowing now the way they work and how they treat customers.
Now you know as well and I'm advising you to avoid them and never buy from them. There are much better stores for shopping.

CarId lift kit for 2017 gmc truck

Do not order from this company! All of the negative reviews you will read about this THIRD PARTY COMPANY are 100% true... they are unreliable, very deceptive, scam artists!

We purchased a lift kit from them on July 11, 2017 for a 2017 GMC Truck. It was delivered to us in three separate boxes, one of which was badly damaged (see pic below). Further, Upon opening the boxes, we discovered it was not what we had ordered (different part number and instructions for a [protected] GMC Truck) AND one of the pieces (spindle) was damaged (picture attached). It was in the damaged box (also attached). After multiple phone calls and emails, never being able to speak to same person and being told something different Every single time, we finally got the UPS packaging slips from them to return the merchandise. That, however, was only the beginning of what has proven to be a long, drawn out disastrous mess! Remember the damaged box we received with the damaged spindle inside? Well... that box was returned to us as "reported damage with missing parts". Guess which part was "missing" when we got It back? Ironically it was the damaged spindle. And Guess who got stuck with that cost... UPS. Yep.. CarID.com filed a claim with UPS alleging "parts were missing/damaged". We have yet to receive our refund because they are battling it out with UPs for their refund for the "missing/damaged" parts that they claim was UPS'a fault. Mind you, the other two boxes were received back in Car ID's warehouse on 7/27/17 (got confirmation from Them that it was received) but we still don't have our $1200 refund and no lift kit!

We have called multiple times and sent numerous emails, again being told something different each and every time. I can't count how many times we have been told "it will take 24-48 business hours". Yes... even requesting to speak to a supervisor! Most recent correspondence on 8/7/17 with Supervisor Maria, we were told that we could expect the refund "within 48 hours of the next business day, 8/8. That would have made it Thursday, 8/10 that we were supposed to be issued a refund. On Saturday 8/12/17, however, we again receive another email from yet another representative, John Harvey stating,"we apologize for the inconvenience. According to the manufacturer, it takes about 10 business days from date received for them to issue a refund. They need to inspect the item first. You will receive the refund by next week."

That was the last straw... I am absolutely done with the excuses from this shady company! Over a month later and we still don't have a refund! Looks like I will be Hiring a lawyer if our refund is not processed by Friday, 8/18/17.

CarId product returns

I ordered a windshield frame and when I received it it was defective. That claim to have easy and fast returns...don't you believe it. They have to contact the manufacturer which took two days, then the manufacturer may take up to 3 business days before they respond. If they decide to exchange for a new part they send me a shipping label. once they receive the return they will send out the new part so I am probably looking at at least two weeks. I guess there is a reason you can't leave reviews on there website.

CarId unreliable shipping / customer service / part availability

Third party company. Does not have a professional way of doing business. They still promote items on their website even though they really don't have it in stock. Customer service is poor, I was transferred 4 times just to request a refund. When you run a business you need to be successful, the shipping must be on time, and the quality has to be top-notch. The business is poor and I recommend that no one else does business with this company. Even the communication was poor. If I was the owner of this company I would make a meeting on how to improve customer service. CARiD you can do better but unfortunately your teamwork is not good enough. Whoever goes to this site be careful what you purchase because usually the product you buy they might not have available even though they still list it.

CarId tires and wheels

On 6/15/17 I placed an order for tires and wheels for my 1978 Corvette with a big brake kit. The reason that I ordered them from CARiD was that they were supposedly guaranteed to fit. I received them on 6/18/17 and they did not fit. I immediately contacted the salesman that I placed the order with, and he told me that I had to talk to a wheel tech. I explained what happened and that the tires and wheels were hitting my suspension as the backspacing was off. They had me submit pictures. I then sent a couple of emails the following week asking for an update. On July 5th I received an email stating that wheel spacers had been ordered and would be shipped in 2-5 business days. On July 11th I contacted customer support and they informed me that the spacers had just been ordered. When I said I had an email saying they were ordered on July 5th, he put me on hold and came back and said "oh yes, they have been shipped, I will send you the tracking number in a couple of minutes". After two hours I called back, and was told that the spacers were just ordered and they did not have the tracking number yet. I received the spacers on July 17th, and they are the wrong spacers. I do not think they are even for a Chevy. They do not fit my hubs, and the log nuts do not fit. I was supposed to get my car to the paint show two weeks ago, but can not because I do not have wheels that fit. If it was not such a pain to package the tires and wheels back up, I would definitely send them back for a refund. I am frustrated beyond belief as to how a wheel expert could first of all get the backspacing incorrect and then send the wrong spacers, wasting a lot of my time. I spent $2000.00 for this package and am very unsatisfied with the knowledge and customer service of CARiD.

CarId customer-service returns

I have ordered parts from carID I received 10 out of 12 customer-service keeps give me the run around about getting with manufacture I have emailed customer service twice and Still no resolution we are now going on week 2. I just flat out want a refund. This is the 1st and last time I'm gonna buy from this company. There are so quick to take your order but it's like pulling teeth out to get them to give you a refund Terrible customer-service .

CarId everything: problems with salesman, shipping, bad & rude customer service & delay in return core label via email

When I placed order with Jose Ext. 8782 I was told by Jose that return label for $100 core would be in box which it wasnt. It took 6 days to receive a 2nd day air UPS pkg. Now told by CarId it will take 24-48 hrs to receive return core label via email (yes email). Salesman lied, spoke to everyone from New Jersey to India. Return label should have been put in process if coming via email as soon as they charged me $100 for core.

CarId ebc® s9kf1366 - stage 9 super sleeper slotted front brake kit and ebc® s9kr1247 - stage 9 super sleeper slotted rear brake kit

First they shipped the wrong product which did not fit my car, and i paid more than 500 USD on shipping, then when i tell them they keep on going back and forth on questions, pictures, product ID, picture of the box...etc i sent them everything and requested to replace the product charging my card for the new product and then refund me once the old product arrives and still i have no response from the on the refund or the product. Most recently they tell me no return if original packaging is not available, and i already told them it is available.

CarId order not shipped complete

Ordered Dexter shocks on 5/15/17 rec partial order around 5/21/17 called see what happened after trying to explain I'm missing 2 shocks and hardware for all four (seems simple) not the CARID people. Then I get told on the second and on hold for 50 minutes that they would ship out Friday the 5/26/17 overnight but probably would see them until Tuesday at the masters Wednesday so I waited, no such delivery. Called Thursday am 6/1/17 after being on hold for another 50 mins got told it would be 24-48 hr Bedore they would have any answers. I asked in the beginning to talk to a supervisor but the customer service or so called customer service person said they wouldn't talk to me. So I what another day. Today Friday 6/2/17 I called in the am got the run around again saying waiting on manufacturer I asked to talk to a supervisor this time I was told one would call me back at the end of the day. I called again around 3 eastern time knowing the manufacturer would be closing soon, after being on hold for 28 minutes they had no update. I asked again about the supervisor calling me and I was told they would once they found out something on the order. I call this evening 6/2/17 on hold for 20 plus mins get told the manufacturer is closed. I knew that but I guess they had to go through the motions. She gets back on the phone tells me it's gonna be another 24-48 hour of course business hours not weekend. I asked again for a supervisor. Finally I get Marie( WOW needs some customer service skills). She gives me the working with manufacturer story won't listen to me what so over until I ask her if could talk and her listen. Just went silent. Guess she was listening. Long story short with her I asked if her or this person named Clint that she says has been working directly with the manufacturer on this could call me back Monday. We will see. Sure would be nice if someone that cared at that company would take charge and contact me.

CarId custom wheels

Ordered and paid for custom wheels that they said would fit my car. Back side of wheels hitting brake caliper. Called Carid and put on hold forever. They sent spacers to try to fix problem. With new brake pads put on and 3/8 inch of spacers, could only get 2 threads on the lug nuts. This will not work.
ET lugs will not fit in the hole of custom wheels. Now Carid will not take to wheels back that they said would fit. Now I'm out $500.00 . Will never do business with this so called company again. So, please do business
Elsewhere and don't lose your money.

CarId order cancel and return

Ordered a part for my car. I called to cancel the order and was routed to a person I couldn't understand and they couldn't understand me. Language barrier. Called the next day and was informed it was too late to stop shipment and would not get my shipping costs back. That's not cool, but whatever, fine. Then I was informed that when I returned the item, I would also have to pay THOSE shipping costs as well. What a horrible way to treat customers. Needless to say I will NEVER order anything from your company again as well as posting as many negative reviews as I possibly can.

Greg from CarID took care of my situation and made it right. I would love to completely remove my original complaint, but that seems impossible. I can only update my original. So, CarID is actually a GOOD company that DID take care of my problem. I would have no problem recommending them to friends and family.
I guess now I have to complain about Complaintsboard.com Why do they make it so difficult to change my own review?!?

CarId car grill

Order your products elsware! I ordered a grill online from Carid.com. A large factor in my decision was picking a grill that was "available" and not on back order. I purchased my grill and got my estimated ship date of 7 days later. A few days later I got an update email saying the ship date was changed to 11 days (there was a long weekend the day after my original ship date, so I'm a little disapointed but understanding). No word from carid and my ship date comes and goes, so I try to track my shipment online on there website and it says "no shipment found". Naturally I call them to check on the shipment at which point (after several lengthy holds) I am told the grill is on back order and won't ship for another 2 weeks. I explain my disappointment and frustration to the customer service agent that I am needing to contact them after my ship date to find this out and clearly she is only interested in me accepting what she said and getting me off the phone. After a lengthy conversation about how this is not acceptable and my suggestion that I should in some way be compensated for their lack of customer service and luring customer to buy their products based on a lie, and demanding some kind of compensation she is authorized to offer me a 4% ($30) gift card for my troubles. They are faulsly advertising their product availability to entice customers and then wait for them to complain before anything is done. I am yet to receive my grill, and will update this review when and if it ever shows up or if they chose to right their wrong doing.

CarId didn't receive my tires

I have ordered tires from www.carid.com and we agreed that they will deliver those in mid April. May is almost over and I still haven't received anything!
Last time I contacted Carid they said that I will get my tires any time soon, but when I told them that I need the exact delivery date their rep said that he will contact me back after he finds out.
Two days ago I sent them a message where I asked for a refund, but they didn't reply anything yet and I doubt that they ever will. Don't deal with this company!

CarId terrible customer service

I've never been hung up on before by customer service but then again this only my first experience with CARiD.
I purchased an electric choke for my carburetor that was defective so I gave CARiD a call. After 20 minutes on hold I finally get a customer service rep. She was very difficult to understand because of all the background noise and thick accent. I tell her my problem with the product and she transfers me to another who ends up hanging up on me during our conversation.

CarId rocker panels

They look very nice online however when I had them installed by a professional auto body shop they couldn't get them to mount flush up against the car. Customer service was horrible. Was on hold for 45 minutes spoke to 3 service reps for about a minute each. The rest of the time was on hold. They would not refund my money and it's a worst experience I've had dealing with an online part company

CarId I am very disappointed with www.carid.com

I am very disappointed with www.carid.com, they are far the most unprofessional company ever!
I bout a seat cover from them and they promised fast shipping but in reality it took almost 2 months to get my order. While I was waiting I didn't receive any information regarding my order! I contacted them many times but they were not able to tell anything and only told that I have to be patient and wait. They said that they had some issues with the delivery service but when I asked what actually happened they said that they couldn't tell that.
I don't recommend them!

CarId wheels and tires

I recently purchased a new set of wheels and tires. These monkeys mounted 2 of the tires (they're directional) wrong as well as one of the rims looks like it was dropped as they were working on them. One of the tires also has a massive flat spot, and they aren't cheap tires. On top of all this, I've had my alignment done and tires balanced twice since I put them on my car. These guys are absolute ### and refuse to work with you on defective products, it's safe to say I will not be buying any more parts from them, and neither will any of my shops or friends. The prices are very enticing, however when all is said and done, you could have gone somewhere else and bought a much better product for less money. I've tried contacting them multiple times as well and I've been pushed off/ put on hold/ disconnected from them multiple times.

For my ford Edge Sport 2013, went through the process so far so good on April the 15th, 2017. Waiting for my order on the 25th I contact CarID and they told me they will investigate why I didn't receive my order and will contact me to let me know and proceed with shipping another part or refund my order . Not even 30 min later they shipped another prt without consulting me, I contacted them over and over to let them know how unprofessional they were cause at that point I wanted a full refund of my order
On top of having an insulting offer of a 10$ voucher on there site which I will never use to order anything in the future
customer support representative were for most
- rude hanging up on you or cutting chat on you
- promising that a manager would be calling you which never happen
- Lying about reason why the order was not received when you have been contacting them for weeks and know that another package was sent with a different tracking number

When the package is finally received some cheap metal material is in there
. Wanted to have it install by a professional at my ford branch, the DAMN THING doesn't even fit

Contact the CARID customer support for a simple ship back and refund ended up wasting 45 min of my time with some dude called Roy Drover, arguing when I simply asked
1- why my order is not in my order history
2- wanted an RMA to return the purchased part
3- get a refund for that piece of Garbage I received

he came up with the worst demand ever take picture of the part showing the misfit and some other picture of the part, like I will vbe going back to ford ans ask them to un mount my wheel try to mount the caliper cover so will take picture to get a refund

I am not satisfy with the useless piece of ### provided why do I have togo through all that mess to get a refund and do the investigation and research the manufacturer was supposed to do prior to sale any part

so my overall rating for this product is mediocre
company mediocre and highly unprofessional a complete rip off
customer service experience mediocre not accountable for their mistakes, lying to customer, no transparency, and unprofessional

advice stay away from this company and this portal and cheap made part

CarId customer service

I ordered headlights from them. A ballast has failed. I couldn't find any markings on the ballast that pointed me to anything on the internet that would match. I sent them an email stating this and asked them if they could please help me find a replacement.

Their response was that they do not sell the part, and that I should search the internet for the part.

What part of "I searched the internet and could not find the part" did they not even bother to read?

SOOOOOOO much failure as a customer service organization. They drop live chats in the middle and then you can't reconnect.

Don't waste your money unless you know the product is awesome. Thir customer service SUCKS
