I needed coverage for my car and I spoke to one of the representatives who helped me along the way of getting the coverage I needed for my vehicle. She was polite and explained in detail the options which I needed to have. She helped me set up my account and payment schedule. She was a joy to do business with. Thank you.

I am really happy with the customer service that was provided by Williams (Billy) Powers in my time of inquiring about the warranty & quotes provided. He was very knowledgeable and gave me the space and time to make my decision on what warranty I wanted. I was able to talk to two different representatives and between the two, we figured out which was the best coverage for our car and budget. I actually enjoyed this experience and the two young men who helped me were knowledgeable and didn't push me to buy a particular plan, but did explain the difference between the plans and helped me choose the best one for me. I'm still holding out for the crab cakes, Daniel...;)

I took out a warranty on my 2015 Buick Enclave in 2021. I have since completed monthly payments for half of the contract. Two weeks ago I took my car into the mechanic because it was leaking onto my garage floor. They determined a transmission front pump seal needed replacing. They called Carchex to send a technician to check the car for the work. It took five days and countless calls to finally have a technician come. Now they are insisting a complete tear down of the transmission and another technician to come out to even decide if they are going to cover the work! I'm not sure who they think is going to pay for the transmission work or the time it would sit with the mechanic before they even say yes or no to the claim! This is my only car and I already had to have it waiting at the shop for five days for a technician to be sent out. I am cancelling my warranty immediately and am now out $1665.81. Everyone needs to beware of Carchex! No warranty is worth going through what we did just to have the claim denied.

On December 24, 2020, my F150 broke down and was towed to a Ford Dealership for repairs. The Service department contacted warranty (Carchex) and followed protocol to file the claim. After days of back and forth and submitting all my service documents as requested, and after the inspector reviewed the damages he said the engine needed to be torn down. I authorized the teardown because the service member at the shop "Joe" said it wasn't a valve or chain issue as stated in service records. The Inspector came again and stated the issue with the engine was "pre-existing" and is not covered under warranty. I had no issues with my truck, but those stated in service records. Warranty is supposed
to cover engine work. The claim was filed after the 30 day 1000 mile period. I can't control when my used car will fail nor the condition which is why I constantly maintain my vehicles and address issues as they happen. I know to have a $2500 bill from services performed to put the engine back together and fix the issue. This is why we buy warranty so we don't have to pay out of pocket for unforeseen issues. A representative called me and told me this repair isn't covered and the engine had to pretty much "blow up" for it to be covered. As an Iraq war veteran I've seen cars blown up in person and with soldiers as casualties, I don't need these types of references that increase

Dont purchase or fall for Carchex Warranty company. That out of Baltimore. with an out source company of Royal Insurance. These two companies are a Really BIG SCAM! They dont Honor their contracts at all. I just read over a hundreds of recent complaints of how they will not approve claims. From excuses of code reading, oil leaks, not enough miles, pre-existing problems and so on. They are costing me $6, 000 out of pocket for what is considered a major part that should have been guaranteed for them to provide their service to approve the claim. ( A Transmission ) Now, I will be taking them to court. Join me for a Class Action Lawsuit as I have already started. I paid Carchex to inspect a Toyota truck outside of Nashville. When I went to see the truck myself, I found that the report had missed some significant issues, such as body damage, a couple of malfunctioning sensors on the dashboard and worn brake pads and shoes with probable damage to rotors. Also, the seller told me that the inspector had not done a test drive, but had done nothing more than take a handful of photos that were included in the report.

Since the report did not present an accurate appraisal of the vehicle, it had no value. The company also did not fulfill what it promises to do on its website, which includes, among other things, a test drive. The $149 fee gained me absolutely nothing.

I subsequently tried both calling and writing to Carchex. They don't answer their phone, which only has an answering machine. I left two messages, neither of which was returned. They also never responded to my written correspondence. I tried getting the charge removed by my credit card company, but they ruled in favor of Carchex - I'm canceling that card (REI Visa).

My advice would be to stay away from Carchex.
