Caracol Cream, Inc. never order online

I went to order a 14 day free sample of caracol cream, whichasks for only $4.95 shipping and handling,. After giving them my visa information and completed the transaction, they informed me they would be billing me$59.95. It says you can cancel at anytime, so I went to [protected]@caracol-cream.com. I found out this is a fraudulent company that continues to charge you, and the cream does not live up to it's expectations. I never order online as a rule, but wanted to try this product. I don't like being taken. What can be done about this sort of thing? It makes me leery now of ordering anything online!

Caracol Cream, Inc. caracol cream is good

I signed up for the 14 day risk free trial offer back in february and I had no problem at all. It stated in the terms and conditions that I would be billed the amount of $60.00 if I did not return the unused portion of my trial offer jar within the 14 day trial period, and that I would be placed on a preferred customer club.

In no way did I find caracol cream to be a scam, they indicated in an email confirmation that I would be billed and placed on this club, also once I received each shipment it indicated the terms and conditions of my agreed to contract.

I am not a member of the preferred customer club any more due to the fact that I most recently lost my job, and unfortunately I had to sacrifice my cream : (. I also returned my most recent shipment under the 60 day guarantee that they offer and was advised to insure my return, which I did. The credit has been applied and I have had no problems there.

If anything I would like to say that you people are careless and uneducated. I see many comments on this blog board with ladies and gentlemen claiming that they were scammed. If you were in fact scammed and the company was fraudulently charging customers wouldn't you think that they would be shut down? I quite frequently order products online and I am fully aware of everything that I order (well when I could afford to), if people actually took the time to read then you wouldn't have these problems.

Personally I would have to say that a lot of the people that are posting on here are scam artist. Quote: "only way out is report your card as stolen to your financial instituition. That will work, I promise! And quite truthfully that is what they do, steal from you!". Blogged by: joseph l. Rocha

Does this not clearly state that joseph has lied to his credit card company? This is one of many examples that I can use which shows a lack of consumer integrity. So joseph first lied to his credit card company about the charges after he authorized for his credit card to be billed by caracol cream, and then he had the nerve to post bad things about caracol cream on the internet.

I back caracol cream up 100%. People need to start taking ownership for their own mistakes and stop blaming others. Caracol cream is a wonderful product and you people are ruining their name because of your lack of education and integrity.

Keep charging me for unordered creams even though I returned one and have never agreed to continue this product. Very expensive and I can't get them to stop billing me for this product!

UPDATE on Caracol cream. Many of you have written me to see how I resolved this issue of unauthorized billing. First, I filled a dispute with my credit card for charges already made. Then I had them freeze my acct so no more charges could be made. (they will issue a new account number and you may still use it, but any former charges will no longer be honored, you still owe whatever balance was due but no more charges will be put thru on the old number, effectually blocking Caracol from making any new charges). This is a lot of money to be automatically billed EVERY month but at least they will be blocked from doing it again. Repeat, they issue you a new number on the old account and you can continue to use it under the new number. Only old auto bills will be blocked. I hope this helps all of you who wanted to know how I solved the problem.

I ordered a trial size period jar after I paid $4.95 for it a chat window came and offered me a cheaper shipping $1.95 so I agreed but then I saw the $4.95 taken out of my acct. I called them and they told me that it was a computer's random selection, from which I got some doubts so i cancelled my future shipments within 14 days. The company took another $59.95 out of my acct. I called them again on 09/26/08 to make sure my order was cancelled . but when I chatted with them they gave me this address to cancel .I was charged full price for the 14 day trial period and I am not sure if I will be charged again. I want you to help me get my money back and stop this scam company . I think there were and will be more victims .I only have there phone # but not there address. I want my money back and stop the future shipments from this company. please help me.

This company is a complete scam. They charged my credit card for a product I returned after a few days. From what I am reading they are doing the same thing to other people. I emailed the "customer support" six times and everytime I got the run-around. From what I understand, since they are located out of the country very little can be done.

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM
Back in October cancelled the auto-ship program for this product, or at least I thought so. After trying the cream I developed a mild rash. I'm still being charged and I'm still receiving unwanted shippments of cream. I called the 800 number to set this matter straight, and the Caracol staff, very conveniently, could'nt find my account information but have no problem charging my credit card, somehow they did'nt loose "that" particular information. I have to cancel my credit card to avoid future unauthorized charges and unwanted product. PLEASE BE ADVISED; AVOID doing business with this company. They're not professional at all.

Over the internet I ordered Caracol cream and it was advertised that I could use it and if I did not return it within 30 days then I would not be charged the $14.50 for the product.

After speaking to my doctor who was getting ready to preform a procedure on my face, I returned the product unopened. Therefore, I should never have been charged anything.

Every month for the last four months I have been charged $68.90 from this company and to date I am arguing with the credit card company to have this charge removed from my Washigto Mutual credit card.

The Caracol cream company is located in Ontario, CA and they do not have a good phone number, so I cannot speak to anyone there.

I ordered a specail offer for Caracol cream in March and they billed my card again for a bottle in April. This time it was for $59.95, not just shipping. When I called [protected], the number on my Visa bill, they couldn't find my name and told me to call [protected], the direct number, and this isn't a working number.

Caracol Cream, Inc. skin care cream

I ordered the cream before I googled "review" on it. How stupid! I tried it, break out on t-zone, called them on the 14th day of the trial, got their cancellation email, still got charged! 1 day before! This is a smart way to collect money!

I only wish that I don't care about my skin any more. Why do I always try to find the best product and try new products? That is why the scams can work, isn't it?

What a scam they ship you a trail jar and start billing you monthly for another unseal jar of there junk !
You can't read the list of ingredients on the side of the box because the print is so small. I did ship both the trail jar and the additional jar back but you know they will just resell it again because the jar isn’t sealed.
But at less I don’t have there’re crappy product in my house and I’m sure glad I never put it on my face…
I hate wasting my family money on scam products in hopes I look younger… and sun screen is all I really should be using.
And I hope Caracoal cream goes broke! I wish I got my money back…I HATE BEING A SUCKER and RIPPED OFF.

Caracol Cream, Inc. false promises

This firm offers a "free" trial but when the site asks you to confirm the order there is a bleep indicating that you will be billed for a jar of cream every month. As soon as I saw this, I attempted to cancel my order. I tried to cancel the order to no avail. I did manage to get hold of a live person and was informed all I had to do was mark the package denied-return to sender. Ups would not take it back like that. My bank account was charge for almost $80 within days. This is a real scam and I will never order any type of free offer on the internet ever again!

Caracol Cream, Inc. fraudulent free sample, unclear business practices

Do not deal with this company! I too was led to believe that I would only pay a nominal shipping fee for a "free" sample. I was at work and my husband was home when the package came. Unfortunately he paid the c.O. D. Import fee (I live in canada) of $40.00!
If I had any idea they were charging obscene amounts for fraudulent free samples I would have sent it back, as I am doing now. I was told nicely that the company wasn't aware of this import fee, but having read these previous posts this is apparently a lie. I also read caracol cream's response about how they are working on fixing those glitches. That was dated in 2017 and it seems like they are pulling the same scam.
The jar that they shipped me was also not properly
Sealed - it had a wafer plastic cover beneath the lid, one that was easily flipped off. So hygiene is also an issue (don't know how many times this cream has been returned?).

I was doubled billed, no product was shipped. I called and spoke with a agent at Caracol Cream. He said that they were real slow in shipping product, I asked him why they charged my account again when I have not received my first order. I asked him to cancel my order and credit my account with what was taken out of it total amount charged with NO product $133.80. The agent told me he could not refund my money and he could not connect me with anyone that could. There was not a number for refund, and the agent hung up.

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THIS CREAM...unless you want a billing nightmare on your hands. I returned the trial product Thursday afternoon (3 days before the 14 day period ended - 3 days!). So what happens that Sunday? I get billed $60 bucks ! But the kicker is that I spent $20 to Fed Ex the jar back to them so that I wouldn't be charged the $60. Now I find out the company policy is to "process" the refund in 3-10 business days! Now isn't that incredible? So Caracol gets access to my money for that length of time, but I don't?!
Of course I am looking for any attorney that is taking the lawsuit against Caracol for stuff like this. Does anyone know who that attorney is? Let me know. Thanks from Virginia.

I have been had by Caracol Cream...ordered the 14 day sample which
was never sent. Company emailed me that package had been sent on
8/20 by ups...today 9-3-08 I contacted ups and they said a label had
been printed on 8/20, but the package had not be sent! I emailed the
company and told them to cancel and received an email back saying
I was being charged 25% of the monthly cost if I canceled. Apparently
this was what I agreed to when I ordered. This must have been hidden
somewhere in the ordering process, because I never saw it.

This company needs to be flagged for deceptive and illegal business practices.
Wish I had seen this complaint board BEFORE I gave them my credit card number!

A while back I decided to try the 14 day trial offer of the product Caracol Cream. It was $4.95 for the shipping and handling charges, which I authorized. But if you decide you want to cancel any further shipments of the cream, you must send it back within the 14 day time period. After trying the cream I decided no, I really didn’t want this cream. I sent the product back by US Express Mail. Delivery by the next day at noon was guaranteed.

The next day was the end of the trial period, so I figured I was safe from any further charges. But just to be safe I called the company to let them know I was returning the product, that it would arrive before the trial period was over and that I did not want any additional shipments or charges made to my debit card. The sales representative I was speaking to informed me that it woud take 2 weeks to process my return. In other words, they would charge me regardless.

Unless you are absolutely sure you want this product, do not try the 14 day trial period they offer. Either way you will get stuck with paying $59.95. It is a scam because it totally goes against their claims. In order to cancel the order without any additional charges, you would have to immediately send it back right after you got it. And on top of all that, the product sucks. It doesn’t even work. I am completely dissatisfied with this company and will not be ordering from them agin.

LADIES! Here's an update since my last post on the Class Action Lawsuit. Lots have definitely transpired since then. An article was also written up on Health.com regarding the false claims and scam operations. http://pokedandprodded.health.com/2017/09/29/dont-get-slimed-the-slippery-web-promotion-of-an-anti-aging-breakthrough/

If you go to www.caracol-cream.com now, it is is new web site. You cannot find the fake Doctors Recommended quotes, nor the 2017 Best Anti-Aging cream voted by the American Anti-Aging Association anywhere. Looks like they are cleaning up their SCAM operation due to too many complaints filed to the BBB (which I recommended everyone do...who has contacted me).

Please read the email I received from Jason (support@caracol-cream.com). For your refund...please you should contact him directly. I hope you all find justice soon... :)

Kim,

My name is Jason and I would just like to let you know I am a senior representative of the company Caracol Cream. I sincerely appreciate your opinion on our company and I have no doubt in my mind that your experience with our company comes with adequate proof and background. If you are in need of any assistance that you were unable to receive via our customer support team, I would be more than happy to give it to you.

My second request is for you to pass this message along to any other customers that have personally contacted you through this post. I understand that many customers have felt betrayed by our insufficient customer support and I want to do justice to their complaints by fully addressing them myself personally.

Caracol Cream, Inc. theft and fraud

Do not purchase this product. It is a total scam. If you go to their on-line site they will ask you to give them some information to see if you qualify. No matter what you fill in, you reach a page that says "congrtulations" you qualify.

They indicate that if you order the product you will only pay for shipping and handling. This is a total lie. What they will do is take your credit or debit card information and charge you for the whole package.

I am one of those victims! Once I received the cream I tried it and didn't think it was that good. I gave it away and thought no more about it, until I found another package from the company. My husband called them and realized he was getting a line of manure.

If this happens to you, immediately report this to your local sheriff, then call you state's office of consumer affairs. Keep very good records for later use. Do not return the product - it will be returned to you.

Before purchasing anything on-line from an unknown company first google the products name and add the words review, or warnings, or fraud. You will find many resources with warnings.

Although I have not gotten to the bottom of the problem yet, know that there is potential for identity theft.

Bottom line: know who you are purchasing from before purchasing.

Caracol Cream, Inc. caracol cream fraud

Like so many others here, I was duped by caracol cream. I was offered the "two week free trial" so I decided to order the product. I never received the product, but was charged $68.90 on 9/8/08. I have battled with them over my refund and removing myself from my "membership" — something I never agreed to. Before the membership could be cancelled, I was told another shipment is en route to me and another (surprise, surprise) charge will be placed on my credit card. If I call to complain, I am told someone will get back to me "within 48 hours” but they never do. If I complain via email, I receive generic responses back. It is infuriating! I'm disgusted by their unethical business practices. Please learn from my error in judgment and do not support this company.

DO NOT BY CARACOL CREAM!
I tried Caracol Cream and had horrible problems trying to get off their automatic mailing list. At first the product didn't arrive and after a bit of complaining the company said they would "overnight" me a new jar. It took 2 weeks!
Then, a month later I received a second jar. Unfortunately I hadn't read the "fine" print about the automatic shipping. As I felt this was an error on my part, I kept the second jar but IMMEDIATELY sent a letter requesting to be removed from their mailing list. About a week later a sales rep from the company called me to see how I liked the product. I told him that I did not see any difference between Caracol Cream and the over-the-counter products I normally use. I also told him I hated the automatic shipment plan. He tried talking me into more product by offering to ship it every other month then offering me a discount. The discount was for 1 jar only. I told him in no uncertain terms that I did not want any more product. At the end of the month I was sent yet ANOTHER jar. I called and was told that my letter with my signature wasn't good enough because "anyone could send a letter." I told them about the phone conversation but was told that since I didn't have the name of the man who I talked to, they couldn't verify my conversation. "Jenny" told me that upon return of the product, I would be credited the amount of the product plus shipping and that I would be taken off their mailing list. When I checked my bank statement, I hadn't been credited for the shipping. I called again. Kyla told me that they don't credit anyone for the shipping. I was angry and told her that Jenny told me that I would be reimbursed for the shipping. I felt that since the product had been shipped AFTER my request to be removed from their list, I should not be required to pay for ANYTHING! Kyla put me on hold to talk to Jenny who had no recollection of our conversation. I ask to speak to the supervisor. Kyla informed me that he would be in "meetings" all day but gave me an e-mail address to file my complaint. I too wish I had seen thei website before becoming involved. I will be contacting the Attorney General to see if anything can be done to stop this.

After reading the above emails I feel lucky that I never received my second shipment I was only charged for my initial product. After 2 1/2 months of calling & emailing to receive my next shipment I was always told the problem had been resolved and it would be mailed that day. I even went so far as to talk with a supervisor "David" and he assured me everything was taken care of for my next shipment and it was NOT! He was even going to give me a free order for my trouble but after the final lie I said forget it. I wish I had seen this website before I ordered. It certainly would have saved me a lot of time & trouble.

Please let people know about the company's scam. They shipped the product without my knowledge and charged me over $ 80.00 for the second shippment which I did not requested. I fought for my refund for the first and second products which costed me over $ 150.00. It was hassel to deal with operators who were rude and refused to give me the refund. They told me to keep the products and they will refund $60.00. I cannot use the products because they were not sealed. In addition, when I applied some of the creame on my hand, I had rashes for four days. Please do not deal with the company.

I wish I would have read these complaints before I ordered. This product dried my face out and it broke it out in a very stange rash! From what I understand this product is really made in Mexico, so they could be putting rat piss for all we know... When I called they said my package had arrived 2 weeks before I received it, so I was stuck with it. I did cancel the auto ship and they sent me and they confirmed it in an e-mail, so if those cheaters try to send another one I am ready for them.. Of course product will go in trash because how can I pass it along? I have no idea what is REALLY in this product...This has made me realize that before I buy anything, I will go to reviews to see what others thought...Also when I opened jar before I threw it away and it had Black Stuff all along the rim..and to think I put it on my face!

I also have had a very bad experience with this company. Samething than everyone, I couldn't get anyone competent over the phone. After fighting with them over emails, they finally have told me to do not accept the package when UPS would bring it to my door and that way I was going to get refund automatically. After one month, I received another email from them saying that a second cream has been sent to me. Again, I have to go through all this BS and again they suggest me to refuse the package and that I was going to get refund automatically. A mistake from their part has happened and they refunded me even before I received the package. Well guess what I did, I kept the cream when it came and then call my credit card for lost card. HA! HA! HA! I got the cream for FREE. I am so happy to make them pay back for all trouble they gave me!

I had a similar experience! First of all, I'm an actress and model, so I know about skincare. I hated this product, and those who love it might need to try a real moisturizer to compare. It smelled like it had turned in less than 2 weeks. When I tried to call and cancel, I couldn't even get a person on the line! It would connect for a few seconds, then automatically disconnect. I was livid. I also sent an e-mail to which I got an automatic response telling me that it takes a very long time to get back to us by e-mail. Wow. No working phone and no e-mail. . . and how am I supposed to cancel again? I got charged again and never even received the product. I got my bank on the line with them and made them cancel with my banker on the line. These people are such scammers though, that I feel I need to replace my debit card! If you doubt all of this, there are several complaint sites devoted to this company's fraud. Be careful not to make the same mistake I did!

I did get the product, though I had cancelled the second I saw it was a monthly billing thing. I could spend pages detailing the trouble I went through to get off their list, even though I cancelled THREE different ways when I sensed something was fishy.

Thank God for my credit card company, who didn't pay the bill when I notified them that the deal was a scam. Who knows how much longer I'd be paying if they were still getting my money?

I have been having the very same experience - generic answers to umpteen emails, chat sessions with the online "customer service reps, " and worst of all, I returned the product that they claim they never received and after the fact, they told me I needed to put other information on the box. IT'S A SCAM! I want to reach that Pam Estel lady, if she even exists, and give her a piece of my mind. What a hassle to have to cancel my credit card all because I'm getting charged for product I never ordered.

NEVER ORDER FROM A COMPANY ONLINE UNLESS IT'S WELL-KNOWN AND APPROVED LIKE EBAY, ETC.

Caracol Cream, Inc. not as advertised

Purchase on line on 9/01/2008 for 14 day trial for 4. 95 finally recieved product on 9/18/08 then on 9/20/08 my card was charged 68. 90 and on 9 / 22 charged another 59. 95 called the compay for 3 days and never got to talk to anyone tell 9 / 22 and it was hard to get them to understand that I wanted to cancell both by pnone and online talk. When they finally got it streight to cancell my order I was informed I would not recieve and futher shipment and with the 30 day guarentee I would be refunded the 59. 95 when I returned the order just shipped and write cancell on the packing slip. But they couldn't give me a tracking # on that order. And the 68. 90 was a mistake and would be refunded. Also if you ask for the billings department phone number they will tell you there is not on available.

So have caution when order this product and good luck by the way this crean comes with no instruction

Per there terms of 14 day trial for use of there product Caracol Cream just $4.95 sh/h and receive product. To cancel further deliveries of cream, must return product within the 14 day trial is up, so not to be charged. I returned product by US Express Mail with guarantee of delivery by noon the next day which was the end of trial period. I called to let them know of delivery and told them there should not be any charges to my debit card, they said it took 2 weeks to process the return, I believe the meaning of that, I still would get charged.
So no matter what you do they are going to charge you the $59.95 one way or another, which is totally against their own terms, because as soon as you receive the product you would have to send it right back for cancellation processing. BIG SCAM besides the products doesn't work.

As others stated (When i found info. Links) , i was charged before the product arrived and charged for the next shipment, called and the woman answering said "hello, my name is elsie. . . " thats the same name on the site. 'i guess everyone in the company has the same name'. . . I was told future orders would be cancelled, but i must pay for the one already shipped, then asked if i would like return information! I mean really!. . . Why would i return what i have already paid for?!?!?!. . . Scam scam scam scam!Im praying i wont have any more charges! I called once i found a # to call from the posts, just to make it official and to see what they would say. Now will join the class action law suit! And report to the fbi, bbb, consumer watchdog groups and any other way i can make a complaint. Please dont allow yoourself to get caught up in this scam. . . I will not give up. . . If any more info comes to you please post it and thank you for the previous posts. . .

The Caracol Company advertises a "free" product. But in the fine print it states you must send it back within 14 days or you will be charged $59.95 for it. I didn't even have their product for week and the money was taken from my account. I looked up the address given to return the product and found it was the address of more than one company that had fraud charges against them.

Caracol Cream, Inc. fraud!! class action lawsuit (join me!)

I am facing the same problems everyone on this complaint board has experienced, however I am not going to sit back and let this fraudulent company get away with their scam!

For those of you have been scammed by caracol cream, please email me and join me as I file a class action lawsuit against them!

Bad business practices/false advertising/not 100% risk free as stated
#1 - no cancellation policy is placed on their web site anywhere

#2 - even if you cancel, right after pressing the order button... They do not cancel your order. Instead, they tell you that they have billed your card for $59.95 + shipping. (what happened to the 14 day trial offer?)

#3 - they do not abide by the terms and conditions they came up with. "you will be billed the super low price of $59.95 at the end of your 14-day trial period.." I was told that I have already been billed!

#4 - what 14 day trial if you don't receive the product until 30 days from the order date?

Here's what I received via email after I cancelled the order the same day I ordered the product. They say the product has been shipped... But ships 30 days after placing your initial order! So, when does the 14 day trial kick in?

Hi kim,

You have been removed from our preferred customer club and you will not be receiving any further shipments. As per the terms and conditions you agreed to before placing your order, your card has been charged the 25% discounted rate of $59.95 for your second month's supply of caracol cream that has already been shipped to you (ships 30 days after placing your initial order). If you wish to return this shipment for a refund please contact me back for full instructions.

Ladies! We need to file a claim against caracol cream and put this shady business out of business!

Please send me an email to join my list of consumers that have been scammed by this company.

Neither myself not my husband have never heard of this caracol cream untill the day we saw it on our credit card bill, the charge was made in may 21st 2009 for a free 14 day-trial at $4.95 under my husband's card, it is a fraudulent charge. We called our credit card company to inform them that this is a fraudulent charge, we filed a dispute online and was refunded the $4.95. we were so mad when we saw another charge on the following month bill of $59.95, we called again our credit card company reporting it as a fraud, we filed a dispute online again but this time for a higher charge ( $59.99) the money was refunded to our credit card. This is very frusturating! that upsets us very much to know that the caracol cream charged our card without our authorisation, our credit card company didn't bother to cancel the card and send us a new one. Our case I believe is worse than anybodies else's because it is an unauthorized purchase and this is very serious. I feel the pain that all of you feel and hope that something will be done to put these people out of business.
I would like to join the suit especially to find out who approved unauthorised draudulent purchases ( nothing was sent to my home address it was propabely sent to the "theif's" home address).
Lila.

YES! YES! PUT ME ON THE LIST. I CAN NOT BELIEVE HOW FRAUDULATE THIS COMPANY IS.

I am very upset and frustrated as all of you can read. I have the same experiences as most of you and can tell you that they did bill me prior to the the end of 14 day trial to my credit card and refused to give me a credit. I would love to make their lives miserable and would be happy to do anything to help.

I can not believe they can get away with automatically adding us on as a preferred customer Club member. If the product really work they would NOT need to depend on cheap scams.

here is the details of my specific situation:
$4.95 Charged by Caracol Cream as the trial. CREDIT NOT GIVEN
$59.95 Charged in December - without my authorization and
permission and prior to 14 day trial completion. CREDIT NOT GIVEN,
$68.90 Charged in January without authorization and permission (LESS $8.95 FOR S/H)
CREDIT GIVEN - THANKS TO CREDIT CARD COMPANY

Put me on the list. I cant get any satisfaction from Caracol on my returned jar. I put a note in with the jar to cancel my subscription, but I still keep getting jars and billed for them. I agree, I got charged immediately for my first jar, no 14 day trial period, then got charged again for another jar before my 14 days was up. I didnt get the first jar, before I was charged for 2 jars. I have been billed for 3 jars and only received 2. And...I see no improvements in my skin. I am fixing to contact my credit card company and dispute 2 of the charges. My name: Claudia Michaels. Email: bilcibo@yahoo.com

Great product and the company itself operates like lots of online retailers. Its called a continuity program and I understand the charges. The product itself is good and I will continue to use it.

I gave up trying to reach someone so I just kept the cream. Just finished the month supply and saw absolutely no improvement. The cream is so thin and feels like nothing when you use it that I felt this was probably just another scam. I'm all for putting their scam out of business.

Contacting the returns desk is easy. It was a simple process I must say. The company made things really easy for me. I don't know how everyone had so much trouble with this company. Make sure you read all small print. This is a good company with a good product. Unfortunatelyfor me, I couldn't afford it anymore.

Caracol Cream, Inc. - scam and fraud

Caracol cream is a fraud and a scam. If you go to the caracol cream website www.caracol-cream.com, You are greeted by a fictitious character "pam estel" who is the website claims is a "dermatology expert and anti-aging guru." but upon researching this lady, I discover she does not exist. The only place I can find her is on the caracol cream website. If...

Caracol Cream, Inc. scam charges!

Do not purchase this product. It can not be returned as the address they give is incorrect. It is a scam operation because once you receive your so called free trial, they automatically bill your account, and you have 60 days to return the product. But they do not have an address.

Buyer beware!

Nowhere was a 14 day trial and full price of this cream mentioned prominently on their web ad. I vaguely recall something about this costing $30.+ if i didn't return it within 14 days. That was not mentioned on the web page, but in a paper from the box. I was billed $59. and change. Then I received another jar of the cream which I did not order and which will show up on my credit card too. I called the credit card company, canceled my card for a new one, and will attempt to give the unopened second package to the post office. I don't know if it came via mail or UPS as the packaging is unclear.

I do like the cream, it's too bad they are messing up on their orders and billing and honesty.

Signed, Mrs. Very Upset

I ordered this on 1/209 as a trial order and it said you had 15 days from day or receipt to let them know if you wanted to return the product. The trial price was $6.95. It arrived on 1/13, slip showed it shipped on 1/05/09, order made on 1/2/09.

On 1/22/09 I was charged the full priced of $59.95 which will cause me to bounce about three credit cards at the cost of $99. I am on SSDI and only receive about $880 a month so this is a horrendous disaster. Please let me know of any recourse, I have been reading that their address is bogus and they show no phone number, making any complaint impossible.

I will go to my bank with this tomorrow and see if I can shut them out of my account or any such thing as I read they keep doing it, there are several complaints.
Thank you, please let me know any action I can take.

I have tried calling to cancel my membership and was told to go to their website since they were revising their phone system.

After going to the website there isn't a customer service link on the website just complaints.

I want to cancel my membership, and my credit card company will not change my number until I send a letter of complaint and there isn't a listing as to where to send the letter.

A real catch 22.

I ordered a trial order of caracol cream and want to stop further shipments. I looked for a contact email or phone number of the packaging and could find none. I since have received a second bottle in the mail again with no contact numbers. I want to stop further shipments and charges and would like this done immediately. Also when you look on the packaging or the bottle to see what is in the product it is either so small you cannot read it or there is nothing on the bottle and there is no insert to read. This raised my suspicion that this is fraudulent merchandise. Any assistance in this matter will be appreciated.

I, too, was naive enough to get scammed by this fradulent company and its misleading sales tactics.

Upon furter investigation, the BBB, I located Caracol Cream at another address in St. Louis, MO 63129. The address is: 423 Bussen Underground Road, St. Louis, MO 63129.

If you type in search for the above address you will find a slew of websites for this same address:
trustyourjourney.com, alright.com, thyroidwellness.com, nano-greens.com, migraincomplex.com, antiagingguide.com, leanRX.com, safeephededraonline.com, daysliketomorrow.com, ourdoctorstore.com, powerbuild.com, and hijabworld.com to name a few.

Just thought this would be interesting to know why all of these websites are listed with the same address in St. Louis, MO.

Good hunting!

i went to order a 14 day free sample of caracol cream, whichasks for only $4.95 shipping and handling, . after giving them my visa information and completed the transaction, they informed me they would be billing me$59.95. it says you can cancel at anytime, so i went to returns@caracol-cream.com. i found out this is a fraudulent company that continues to charge you, and the cream does not live up to it's expectations. I NEVER ORDER ONLINE AS A RULE, BUT WANTED TO TRY THIS PRODUCT. I DON'T LIKE BEING TAKEN. WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS SORT OF THING? IT MAKES ME LEERY NOW OF ORDERING ANYTHING ONLINE.

I also have been a VICTIM of this company and their SCAMMING business ways.. I ordered my "14 Trial Order" on-line, reading all the terms and conditions thoroughly.
In the initial 14 day trial it DOES state that you will have 14 DAYS "starting" from the ACTUAL day that you RECEIVE the product to cancel and return what product is left if you are not 100% happy with it.
"ONE" week after receiving the product my bank card was charged another $59.95 fee for the next shipment ..
My 14 day trial period had not even expired at this point.
I also found the cream to be uneffective and disatisfactory.
BUT before I could cancel within that 14 day TRIAL period I was billed AGAIN for another 59.95 for the next shipment.
Calling the customer service number I was told there was nothing they could do about it until I returned the rest of what was left of the TRIAL JAR of the product and then at that point the company would refund the SECOND charge of $59.95.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on by that customer service person.
I called my bank and they stated that as soon as the charge came out of a "pending status" on my account that they, MY BANK, would then issue me a temporary credit for the 59.95 that this company had taken from my account illegaly.
My bank is sending me some forms to fill out as a complaint against Caracol that I must fill out to explain my position.
I have sent the TRIAL JAR of this product back to Caracol with a return receipt and PROOF of delivery request.

WORD to all of you out there...GO TO your Bank or Credit Card company and DISPUTE this charge with them if you can not resolve it directly with this FRAUDULANT Company called CARACOL..
If this company gets enough "charge Backs" from there bank, their bank does not look highly at them when this happens over and over and it WILL raise the banks eyebrows or even the bank can and does have the option of closing their account with this company..

PLEASE INCLUDE ME IN THIS CLASS ACTION ALSO !

I nearly ordered this cream when I realized that there was no real information on their site about country of origin, corporate information, etc..and noticed the misspellings on the site and high pressure tactics for a quick sale. It just didn't feel right so I googled Caracol cream and saw all the complaints. My recommendation for all of you is to complain to the FBI. I have done this in the past very effectively (the fraudulent company was shut down and the perpetrator went to jail for wire fraud - that's what online scamming is classified as). Complaints are easy to register on the FBI site and they do get investigated effectively - you should provide your contact information (not on this site) to the authorities so they can validate your claims (they contacted me and it was a easy and highly informative conversation). Here's the information:

The Internet Crime Complaint Center or IC3, a partnership of the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center, can be located on the www.fbi.gov website.

The fact that you all want to share your experience so others don't get scammed is very much appreciated, please consider taking the next step and report it to the authorities who can shut them down and let our tax dollars truly work for us. I've seen it work, they are professional, take the complaints seriously and are really the only source of getting scam artists shut down.

Best wishes to all...
Julie

I called to cancel my membership well within the 14-day trial period, and they took "my information" and said they'd have someone call me back to "confirm" my cancellation. I thought that was weird, but I waited. Nobody called after two days, so I called again, and they said the same thing! Then I noticed I'd been charged the $59.95 on my credit card and I still had several days left on my "trial" period. Now, I'm having my credit card company dispute the charge. This company SUCKS! The customer service supervisor named Kim was so rude and so NOT helpful. They should definitely be shut down. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY. There are lots of wonderful creams out there that do the same thing without the lies and bad business practices.

Caracol-cream.com offers a FREE MONTH"S TRIAL for only $1.95. NO WAY and you will pay. My only advice to this and any other offer it to READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS! You are given the impression that you will pay only $1.95. What you are obligated to pay is the full amount if you do not cancel within a certain number of days. Once you cancel you are assessed a 30% restock fee plus you have to return the unused portion. What I couldn't find is what the $1.95 was for.

This is an expensive product and I'm cautious about everything, so I read every word in their terms and conditions and decided this was so deceptive. It might very well be a good product but their deceptive marketing turned me off and turned me away.

On Saturday the website said "only 11 free samples left" and only good thru Saturday evening. On Sunday there were 14 samples left and only good thru Sunday evening. You have to click on a box that says you have read and ACCEPTED the terms and conditions. The sales agreement is in the terms and conditions so really you have accepted to buy this by clicking the box.

I've seen this type of sales on other products so was not surprised. My only advice to shoppers is to READ-READ-READ before committing and be careful. Even if you decide not to buy, you may have committed to the purchase simply by clicking a box.

It's not just caracol-cream.com. Dermaprl-SP, https://www.dermapril.com has a free trial offer but in order to continue to "step 2" you have to input your personal information, which I think is so not necessary just to see what the offer is. So if you decide "no", they still have all your personal information. Once again I was turned off and turned away.

It seems that these and other manufacturers use the same deceptive sales techniques and it's BUYER BEWARE. Read the TERMS and CONDITIONS!
