About 8 months ago I was shopping around for a new vehicle as needed third row seating. Car City had a truck that would fit my needs and the price was only $1000 above the listed blue book value so it seemed reasonable. I explained to both the sales rep and the person I worked with in signing the paperwork that this would something I wanted to do short term as the car note was extremely high for a 10 year old vehicle. I was told that I was not buying rather leasing and it was similar to a month to month lease and I could end the lease agreement at any time. I am paying $457 a month for a 2003 vehicle. I recently wanted to get a much lower car payment which my credit supports and when I found a vehicle I wanted and spoke to the dealership the sales rep asked who my current vehicle was financed through. I explained it was a lease through Orbit Leasing. He told me good luck with that as in the past 5 1/2 years he has been unable to get anyone out of the lease. The blue book value on the vehicle is less than $5, 000. I called to get the pay off and the pay off amount is more than the so called lease agreement...the pay off amount is $14, 955. Now I have been paying $457 for the last 8 months and put $1, 000 down. So to date I have already paid $6, 000+ on a vehicle that is worth less than $5, 000 per its current trade value. I want out of the lease and into a vehicle with payments much lower. I understand that vehicles depreciate and I understand that the company needs to make money, but the amount of money they want to make on this deal is ridiculous and the fact they want $14, 955 to get out of the lease is beyond ridiculous.

Same thing they told me and my husband we put 40.00 down on a 2006 Pontiac Montana which resulted in the payments being 462 monthly and at the end of they leasing agreement we would have paid 22, 000 dollars. Although that price was a little steep we decided to go forward with the deal because the car salesman said there were no ties and we could terminate the lease at any time... SCAM! That was a lie, it looks like they will say anything just to get the vehicle off the lot and customer service have the most unprofessional people I've ever talked to PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!
