Captain D's food/employees

We went to Captain D's in Monroe Georgia on July 24, 2018. It was at approximately 5:00 pm. There was only one cashier taking orders a young man who kept apologizing saying this was the first time he was on the register that he isn't usually out front. It took approximately 10 minutes for him to take our order then he had to get change from the woman at the window as the only thing he had in his register was coupons he did not have a money tray in the register. The woman at the window kept yelling at him and it was very hard to understand what she was saying. Finally he got our order taken as he had to keep asking what buttons to push on the register. The bill was $36.00 and some change. When our food finally came the french fries and the mac and cheese were totally cold, we did not get the hush puppies which were suppose to come with our meals, the shrimp were almost burned which made them unappealing and not eatable, the fish was also a very hard dark brown in color also not appealing or eatable, the crab shells were also almost black in color. Needless to say all we got was I'm sorry from the staff so we threw the food away left and went elsewhere for supper. Unfortunately this is the closest Captain D's and after this experience we will find somewhere else to go probably Long John Silver's. I believe we should have been given a total refund but we were not offered anything but I'm sorry.

Captain D's service and food

I visited captain ds as I proceeded I notice manager was outside smoking then the lady said one moment pls I'll be right with you so I said ok so the manager told the lady you need to take her order which was great which a day or so before that I visited the location and waited 22 minutes on fries which was absolutely absurd and ridiculous then to get not the family order I was looking for but 3 little hand size boxes which I requested my money back and then called office to file a complaint so they gave me a few dinner on us coupons I also was able to get my family size order of fries which I went to Richmond rd to retrieve them I got which was awesome I also went the following day to use one of the coupons and the food was fresh and very presentable and customer service representative was very friendly explaining everything that comes with it even asking me if I needed sauces so i knew what to expect the next time i visited with my other coupon so the following day I said let me give new circle another chance what a mistake that brings me to the visit at hand I ended going there and the manager was outside first off smoking then the lady on speaker said it would be one moment the manager then proceeded to tell the lady tru the speaker to take my order she did so o had the dinner on us coupon and asked for dinner box with coleslaw and fries and a medium dr pepper light ice and a chocolate cake and I get to the window and theres one car in front of me so I'm waiting about 5 mintues no problem but then I get up there I give here the coupon she then asked me for 475 cent I told her that the drink and cake comes with it and she said I dont think it does I'll ask my manager I said if you could tell your manager to come to the window that would be awesome and she does after two mintues need I remind you she was smoking so she ended up coming to the window and I politely asked of there was a problem with me coming there and she said oh she didnt kno that the drink and cake comes with the meal and you order will be nothing she not once read my order to me not once did the lady taking my order read my order back to me which the way service is there every available so I get my order finally and the food was horrible I got to dried up pieces of fish looked like it was there 30 minutes before I got there and they tried to heat it back up coleslaw and some luke warm fries and cake thrown in the bottom of the bag which it should have been in a bag alone not in same bag with hot food and got home icing was melted off cake and what made it so bad is the manager stood there and watched her hand me my food and everything and didnt even make sure the order was at least presentable after I went thru all I had the time before and at that very moment they need to fire everyone there because this is not what I'm use to from any captain ds establishment but this wont sway me I'll be still eating there food just never at that location on new circle rd someone needs to sit next door and look out the window and you will know what to do next I hope it gets better at that location soon to drive 4 miles is alot when I live just 1 mile away from the new circle rd location but for the food it's worth the drive for me so I'll be there I thank you for your time

Captain D's employee behavior

My mother and I were in your store on July 25, 2018. While waiting on our order to prepare, an employee (fellow employee called her Peaches) was very loud, cursing and saying all types of sexual things while waiting on food. This is not my first time visiting this location on Hwy 80 in Jackson and not my first time ever hearing her react. She has a terrible customer service skills. She should leave that street mentality and language at home. I felt disrespected and my 80 year old mother just shook her head. No one from the company has to contact me, but this issue needs to be addressed with this employee.

Captain D's drive thru service

I arrived at the restaurant at 8:43pm, where I went through the drive thru. I eventually placed my order then made it to the window only to find out that they didn't put my order in correctly. The cashier had to correct my order and gave me my receipt dated for 7/10/18 at 9:05pm. She stated there would be a 15 min wait and gave me a free drink and dessert as her way of apologizing for not taking the order correctly. After waiting approximately 20 mins the cashier came out and said that her manager told her to tell me my food would be out in a few mins. I did not receive my food until 9:42pm and that was after I called to speak with the manager. Not once did she apologize for the wait; she simply said oh we ran out of batter so I had to wait for someone to bring me some. So why lie to me and say it would be a 15 min wait? Had she said it would be a 37 min wait I never would've paid for the food. For her to be the manager, she should've handled that situation differently or at the very least apologize. I will not be back to that location if that's the best they can do with their customer service. Store #3582, Order #0345 $26.81.

Captain D's the service was okay

My name is Darius Taylor I went into your restaurant on July 15th 2018 I ordered your Nashville hot fish popcorn shrimp I look on your menu it gave me a description of how many shrimps are supposed to have but when the service came to me to get my shrimps I only had three in my on my platter and they was hard the fish was hard and the manager said that's how many shrimp comes on the platter

Captain D's food I was served

My grandson and I were the only 2 people in the sitting area of the restraunt, my grandson is 7, an employee was cursing knowing he was around which made furious! I had already been served burnt food! A baked potato atleast that's what it was supposed to be, my order was a joke! I've never been treated this way at this store ever! All because they wanted to close, really!

Captain D's horrible customer service

My mom placed an order thru the drive thru the cashier got her order wrong when my mom explained the cashier that she got her order wrong she yelled at my mom and slammed the window. My kids were in the vehicle and witnessed everything. My mom left and called the store and all they said was for her to come back to they could correct her order. My mom was afraid that the food my have been tainted therefore she did not return and she was very upset to say the least. I have contacted the store and informed them that I would be contacting the corporate office and filing a complaint. There was absolutely no level of respect and the employee was rude with a terrible attitude.

Captain D's wrong food, nothing was correct.

I had ordered, 2 piece fish, hush puppies and french fries plus a chicken sandwich with everything on it. What I got? 2 piece chicken tenders, cold hush puppies and my chicken sandwich was just 2 chicken tenders on a bun, which i tried to see that maybe it wasnt so bad after all. All for 16 dollars? It wasnt even busy so what was the rush? Are they supposed to serve chicken sandwiches?

Captain D's food

The Captain D's in Greenville, Ms ZIP CODE IS 38701 employees/ managers have the NASTIEST attitudes and the food is ALWAYS COLD, GREASY, AND UNCOOKED! My mom and I go almost everyday spending 30 dollars or more on food and we shouldn't have to send the food back every time because it's not right! The staff is RUDE AND UNFRIENDEDLY! If you ask me they don't even look up to part to be working! Clothes and hair is always slouchy! They need a whole new staff including the managers and I've complained several times and it's just worst everybody in the city have complained about this and something needs to be done! You call to complain and there hanging up in your face! Edmon just did it yesterday! I called twice!

You spend around $900 a month at this place? I can only imagine how much GOOD food I could buy with that amount and make awesome meals at home.

Captain D's employees

We spent 30.00 at the brand new restaurant in rockmart, ga today. As we were leaving 2 employees were directly outside the door the girl was crying and the guy was being rude. As we walked by the guy asked my mother how it was and if we would be back . She simply said no we would not be when he asked why not in a aggressive manner my mother said I have my personal reasons. The guy then proceeded to say well we dont want customers like you here then anyways . I kept walking with 2 kids we walked the length of the parking lot and the guy was STILL yelling loudly at my elderly mother that we didnt give it a try and to keep walking and leave. I then stepped in and told him this was wrong of him to be yelling at an elderly women who is walking away from him and as an employee of this restaurant he was in the wrong. He yelled at us even as we were leaving the parking lot! Unacceptable and I will be sharing this to everyone I know and come In contact with social media and word of mouth. Rockmart is a very small town and words spread quickly they will not last long here with those attitudes. Sorry he couldn't accept that we didnt like it and told him we would not be returning but he did ask. This was also done in front of several customers who were outside . My guess is the guy was family to the owner and he took it personal. No excuse for this behavior.

Captain D's food was horrible

I purchased a fried white fish meal in drive thru on July 5 2018 Manager asked me to pull to front of store to wait on food, I sat there 15 before he brought it out, before I drove off I looked at my food to make sure ok, but the fish was so hard couldn't eat it so I drove back thru the drive thru and spoke with same manager told him fish was too hard he said I will remake for you I had to pull up again another 10 minutes opened it up fish had to batter on it very disappointed 😢 especially cause he didn't ask if I wanted anything for waiting, Etc called today July 6 to speak to a general manager all he said was I'm sorry that happened very disappointed in Capital D cause I always eat there and get the same food [protected]

Captain D's my visit at the hwy 80 location in jackson, ms, july 2, 2018

I ordered the Captain Sandwich Combo, a lemonade, and two (2) orders of fried green tomatoes on yesterday, July 2, 2018. Needless to say the fried green tomatoes were freezer burned and my daughter and I called to get a refund. We was told that we could come back and once my daughter got there (I had to go back to work) the Manager (Marie) tells her she could not give her a refund and that she would need to get something else. Well we didn't want anything else. The manager (Marie) refused my daughter a refund and my daughter told her we would never come back.

Called this Morning, to see if the Manager (Marie) would change her mind and after speaking with her this is what followed:

I just checked my voice mail and there was a gentleman by the name of Tim (I'm guessing, really could not hear his name). He stated that he was the area manager and that he was standing by Marie (the Manager) when I called and he said that she was not rude! First of all, it's bad when the Manager lies, but even sadder when the Area Manager lies! If you were standing beside her, you heard her lie to me and be rude to me; not only that she hung up the phone before I could finish my statement. And you say she was not rude! I beg the differ; Let me just say this, I work downtown Jackson with a lot of well-known people and I will be letting them know about the customer service I have received even with the AREA Manager. I didn’t want another order! I just wanted my MONEY BACK! You claimed I didn't order a big fish, but I did! It was the Big Fish Sandwich Combo (The Captain) and two orders of fried green tomatoes. Nothing was wrong with my fish order! I just wanted my MONEY BACK that I worked for; NOT CAPTAIN D's!

Captain D's food

I got ripped off they served me the wrong food and didn't refund me my money, I had my receiptplus the food was burnt and nasty tasting they refused to give me back my refund I'm taking this Al the way to the bank I want my money back plus the manager cussed me out...I have eaten at this place for over 25 years and never had a Problem with burnt and nasty tasting food like that, the manager said because they were closing up and I sat in that drive thru for 20 min before they closed, plus the next day when I was told to talk to the head manager she did the *petty return* and threaten to call the police if I return the food and ask for my money back...people are starting to is the police for the wrong reasons, give me back my money for food that wasn't purchased correctly and burnt...what a horrible experience, being of color has become a bigger problem these days..I care about everything and everybody, this is pure racist.

Captain D's my order that I placed on 7-1-18

To whom it may concern when I arrived at the restaurant I had to wait 10 minutes before any one asked me could They help me a older couple were there when I arrived they were ingorned so they walked out which was what I should have done the managers who name is Maurice Bembry we're standing in the lobby talking to people who had finished their meal and the drive through people were bussy she talked for 15 minutes or more I was on my way to work received poor service I ordered a fish and fries which was supposed to come with hush puppies instead I received bread sticks which was ok but bad management

Captain D's food

Just paid 25$ for dinner that wasnt fit to eat, after working in this heat all day.Not to mention it took almost 30 minutes to get the crappy food, and they weren"t even busy.My buffalo shrimp was burnt, baked potato wouldnt even melt soft butter it wad so cold, fried okra was soggy.Hush puppies and my boyfriends slaw was the only thing worth eating.Ive been in food service 30+years and i know about how long it takes to cook most things on grill and fryer, im sure yall use timers, if not maybe you should start.Im willing to bey no one that works there would eat the mess they sold me.Ive always been a fan of Captain Ds, but no more..This is laziness, i dont give a care attitudes, that will eventually cause this particular store to lose revenue.I will post on social media, i do have pictures, will tell all my friends not to eat here.

Captain D's entire experience

Captain ds on dickerson rd nashville tn betwen the hours of 730-930pm is the worst crew in the food industry by far! I waited 30+ min for order while waiting 4 other people came back with faulty orders... Then got home and the corn was half cooked and the sweet tea wasn't sweet at all... When I went back to set things straight they had closed 30 min early!
I love captain ds but won't be back to that one no leadership at all!

Captain D's quality//

I have been a long standing customer. I even worked as a supervisor in 1987 and would never in a million years send old, dried food out. My last visit was poor about a year ago. I decided to give them another go yesterday and am so sorry I did. I received rubber fish, dried fries and the oldest mummified piece of corn I have ever seen. The last time I gave feedback at the store, it was met with attitude and the same person is still working there. Why bother.. I expect a call back and a full refund which I threw away. I will never again go there, which is sad because when served hot/fresh it is one of my favorites.

Captain D's hair being found in my food

I went into a local captain ds store in marietta ga I believe it's 2811 canton road 30066, round 11:05... I went in not feeling well but was hungry staff was super and food came out really fast everything was great except the fries they tasted as if they had been sitting out for about 10 -15 minutes but I wasn't going to complain I just decided not to eat them.. So as I begin to eat my food everything was great. Employee even came by the table to check to make sure everything is fine and I stated "yes thank you!" as I got ready to go I asked for a to go plate and as I was beginning to put the rest of my food that I had left on the to go plate I found a piece of hair on my plate and that made me not want it anymore.. I basically had some popcorn shrimp a small piece of fish and a little bit of coleslaw left... I told the employee and they brought out me some fresh popcorn shrimp because that's all I pretty much had left on my plate... As I stated earlier service was great but there needs to be a double check when placing food on plate cause I really lost my appetite due to the hair being on my plate and I was already a lil nausea due to my sickness..

Captain D's terrible service from women

Went thru the drive thru at captain D's and the lady taking our order was so rude even before we started to order. Completely unbelievable that someone can act the way she did. When we finished ordering and got to the window we had coupons to give her for our food and she says "give me your coupon for the first one" we will not be gong back there with a lady that work there with an attitude like that.

Captain D's overcooked food

I was in Clarksville, TN a few weeks ago and had a bad experience with the fish at store #3760. I contacted the area director and left a message. Actually, I called twice with no answer and Jim Hobbs never returned my call.

We ordered a family fish meal and additional sides. The fish was overcooked, super hard/crunchy and dark in color. We have eaten Captain D's food for decades and I have never had it like that. I told an employee an she took the fish back to replace it. We waited and waited as our sides of mac n cheese, clam strips, fries, green beans and fried okra got cold. She brought back the fish and I truly believe it was the same fish, same issue. We picked over our food and finally left very disappointed after spending $26.72. I feel that I should be compensated.
