I have been enrolled in this university for some time now and my time there was spent doing middle school work with no student support from this school. Let's just say for half of the time enrolled at this school their website has been down. I called tech suport and told them the problem, they were not any help. They told me when the site is down they can't do anything (like I'm so surprised) about it except make a note in my account that I called with a issue. My academic advisor who almost never returns my calls is not much of a help either. As a matter of fact, I can't say any of my three counselors have ever took the time to assist me with any problems I encountered. I am always given the run around every time I call(whenever I get to actually speak to someone)

I have also been requesting my grades and GPA from last semester (for the past 3 weeks) which NOONE has replied! I am so tired and frustrated at this school and ALL OF IT'S SO CALLED SERVICES! I have spoken to my financial counselor and HER SUPERVISOR, but to no avail. This is ridiculous and unacceptable! Why is it a HUGE ISSUE to give me my grades?! As far as I know from relatives and friends who attend OTHER online schools, they receive their grades the first week after the semester ends. But here I am, it's been now 3WEEKS since I have been REQUESTING MY GRADES! This school is the biggest mistake I ever made, and would not recommend my worst enemy to enroll here! I hope after whoever reads this, I can FINALLY get some answers and will be able to continue with my education. If I don't get my issues resolved in a timely manner, I will withdraw from this (not so professional) institution!
FYI... THIS SCHOOL WILL LOSE MORE AND MORE STUDENTS IF SOME ACTION IS NOT TAKEN TO IMPROVE IT'S SERVICES!
...I READ ABOUT ALL THE COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER STUDENTS THAT WERE ENROLLED HERE, AND I MUST SAY IT'S TERRIBLE! MAYBE SOMEONE FROM THE SCHOOL SHOULD TAKE SOME TIME AND READ SOME OF THEM, IT PROBABLY WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

I am in the process of a 2nd Appeal, I don't think it is worth it.

I agree. Watch out for all the promotions...beware of advertising of employment outlook...they have no actual figures of graduate success. These degrees might get you promoted if you are already in the particular field, but otherwise you'll leave with huge loans and little actual job opportunities.
When we complain, the university calls us "the vocal minority" and remove us from the university's blog rooms and label us as "spam."

How they got accreditation just shows me how that business operates. Capella is a horrible experience, and how they call it anything other than an experience in what a schools should never do, has little or nothing to say about education or learning. God help those that get sucked in their deception...

I enrolled here and I'd like to think I'm a pretty smart person. But, even I should not have gotten an "A" in this one class because I fell ill and didn't finish the last assignment (which was 50% of my grade). The professor just gave me the "A" anyway. Now, I was grateful for that but really I should have gotten a B (85%) because that was my average up until the time I went into the hospital.

The really crappy thing about Capella is that I dropped my classes prior to the end of the drop deadline. They took FIVE days to process it. This is an ONLINE University, so my request should have been processed with a lag time of 1-2 days, at most. Because of their error, they want me to pay for the courses I was enrolled in (and dropped within the required time frame) and won't budge. I would have even paid a percentage because I understand that is a standard practice with many brick and motor universities (as I went to one for undergrad). But they wanted me to pay the ENTIRE balance of the courses for which I did not complete a single assignment. I have since dis-enrolled from the school and will have to fight the $3000 bill for the 10-week courses I did not take.

Seriously think twice about going here. This school is thinly disguised diploma mill.

I'm a veteran, capella university promise that I would get my military discount, I started class and sent off for my military ddform 214 ( discharge papers ) fax it to the school. They said no we can't give to becasause of the time frame of getting it. Military personal who entered the military prior to 1980 there records can take up to 4 to 6 weeks to get. It's nothing worse than being a disable vet, an openly get screwed by a university with deep pockets. I spread the word to all my military peaple as well as non-military DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING CAPELLA UNIVERSITY SAYS. I PASS THE COURSE STILL DON'T HAVE MY GRADES.
