www.capecodroof.com. LINDA JORDAN is NOT a customer of Cape Cod Roofing and Siding. However, her husband PETER JORDAN is. Cape Cod Roofing & Siding has a written contract with CAPE AND ISLAND SIGNS, 103 ENTERPRISE ROAD, BARNSTABLE, MA 02601 to install a very small flat roof over a RENTED SPACE. This RENTED SPACE the Jordans own has been leaking over the head of the Jordans tenants for at least a decade. So much so, that after years of failed CHEAP and UNPROFESSIONAL REPAIR ATTEMPTS the tenants threatened NOT TO PAY THEIR RENT and move out. Finally the Jordans contacted my company CCRS to install a NEW semi-flat roof. After impressive haggling by the Jordans, they finally realized the real cost of the replacement and that the cost of a professional installation was NON negotiable. They were also informed too numerous an occasion, and in writing as part of the contract, THAT ALL MATERIALS IN A COVID SOCIAL ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT WERE SCARCE TO SLOW IN ACQUIRING ... that all deposits were/are NON REFUNDABLE/NO CREDIT for special orders. In this case PVC roofing, EPS custom fill and ancillary items. That "lead time" on this supplies was/REMAINS AS OF THIS POSTING... slow. Linda Jordan has taken to leaving incredibly ignorant and threatening messages that remain recorded because she believes we ran off with her funds. Therefore, she has taken to numerous social outlets to post like reviews that appear here. YES... we received a $3K deposit, YES...we are in possession of MOST of the products necessary, YES... customers have read this review and questioned us/me and most have contracted with us. YES... this project is in need of one more material in order to start/finish. YES... she has filed a SMALL CLAIMS suit. YES... the Jordans have caused my company harm by making false claims RE: communication, rude (told the truth as lie here), making false statements (there is NO tarp anywhere), and foolish comments about call backs. The Jordans, including their ignorant daughter, have had EMAILS, TEXTS and PHONE CALLS RETURNED. SUMMARY: The Jordans had NO problem allowing a tenant to get soaked in her rented space for decades while taking their rent. Now that tenant forced their hand to repair/replace the situation they are in a desperate hurry to remedy so they do NOT lose any more rent. PROBLEM: They had at least 10 years to do so... they chose to do so during the HEIGHT OF COVID thus trying to blame my company for their ineptness. Their $3K will have materials bought and legal fees deducted. The Jordans have been warned to remove posts such as this. STAY TUNE FOR HOW IT PLAYS OUT.

We do business with many people/SUBS and associates who proclaim to be professional. When that professionalism fails to appear/surface or provide for on behalf of my customers or myself: YOU DO NOT GET PAID UNTIL YOU CORRECT THE SITUATION TO MY and/or MY CUSTOMERS SATISFACTION. ARE THERE people/SUBS and former associates who I have NOT PAID because they failed to show up, switched products, did shoddy workmanship, ruined property, lied, provided FALSE INSURANCE CERTIFICATES, and/or a host of other foolishness... YUP... I ADMIT I DID NOT PAY THEM AND INSTRUCTED THEM TO GLADLY TAKE ME TO COURT. They chose to remain ANNONYMOUS HERE and I have NOT been served a court notice. I believe that proves my point. Goes in and out business... that's cute.

Complaints have been filed with the MA Better Business Bureau. Company goes in and out of business every couple of years and changes up the name a little so people don't realize it is the same owner. Owes over $125, 000.00 to bad business dealings and damaged homes. Just look at Plymouth County Registry of Deeds to see Skip's bad business history and people he has stuck unpaid bills with including owing thousands in back taxes, but he can take his family to several vacations a year but not PAY his bills!

To whom it may concern,

There is a rather pointless complaint on your complaint board about Cape Cod Roofing that is more of a personal attack than a productive consumer concern.

In fact, this matter went to a State Board and the Massachusetts State Board ruled on absolutely nothing regarding the basis of the complaint you are hosting. The State of Massachusetts ruled that the complainant, Ms. Linda Rainville was requested to provide a deposit to Cape Cod Roofing greater than questionably allowed by contract law in Massachusetts. Cape Cod Roofing argued that 1) Ms Rainville never produced a deposit prior to the start of the job as allowed under Massachusetts Law (1/3, 1/3 and 1/3), and 2) when Ms. Rainville was finally able to produce a deposit for the project, the project was well past the midpoint of the project and that since Ms. Rainville's project required pre-paid special order material that under Massachusetts's Law it allows for a greater deposit... Cape Cod Roofing was allowed/due NOT only the deposit which was never provided, but the midpoint payment as well. Ms, Rainville was unable to produce little more than just the deposit.

The State Board was sympathetic to the ambiguous argument of Ms. Rainville who simply entered into a contract she apparently had no means to fund at the timeor on time as detailed in her written contract.

Cape Cod Roofing was fined $150.00 by the State of Massachusetts... the first and only fine in over 30 years of business. The fine had nothing to do with fraudulent actions, poor workmanship, none-performance of warranty/guaranty issues. We here at Cape Cod Roofing & Siding have no issue with sites such as yours. However, when you host a completely fraudulent complaint and allow consumers to vent their anger in a negative, fraudulent and completely unjust vengeful way, then your site is of no value to anyone.

We offer the following documents to anyone as proof; Ms. Rainville's written 1) our contract, 2) her complaint to the State of Massachusett's, 3) her cancelled checks (2 not 3), 4) our job report and daily photographs that clearly show the project was well past the midpoint before Ms. Rainville was able to produce a deposit, 5) certified material slips showing the best material was used, 6) before and after pictures of the project, 7) the written findings from the State of Massachusett's fining Cape Cod Roofing $150.00, 8) original correspondence between Cape Cod Roofing and Ms. Rainville showing Ms. Rainville was given preferential treatment reducing her roof cost by $2, 000.00 as Cape Cod Roofing used some of their own end of year credits to assist Ms. Rainville, 9) Ms. Rainville's own written letter in response to Cape Cod Roofing seeking balance due (original cost of contract/NOT a penny more) in which she claims she is being harrassed because she is gay... this letter will be emailed, faxed or sent to anyone requesting it along with our company response.

Entering into a written contract you can NOT fund is not an accepted course of action.

Taking vengence on those you failed to pay on time and in full in accordance with said contract is less than honorable.

Receiving an invoice for the exact amount of the written contract amount and playing the "GAY CARD" instead of writing a check is reprehensive.

The facts are clear, supported by written documents and available to anyone who requests them.

Now you know and have proof the complainant Ms. Rainville is less than truthful... and we have the written State of Massachusetts documents to prove it.

In closing, we have been a model roofing contracting firm for over 30 years. There is but 1 blemish on our otherwise spotless reputation... and it has nothing to do with failure to execute a written contract, workmanship, non-performance, warranty or guaranty or questionable material. It has to do with someone thinking they were going to get something for less than the agreed upon price.

Your da...m...n right we were mad and rightfully so. We are still mad that 4 years later we are still attending to this matter... over what?... someone who just could not produce payments on time when they clearly recognized we are a roofing company... not a charitable lending organization.
