YellowPages not saying that they would do online advertising

I been using google adwords for a long time now. Then yp called and said that could run my ad for less money and have the listing on all 3 major search engines sites in the top position. So I went for it, first week or so the listing was running good and then all of a sudden it would run 1 or 2. 3 days and then down for 1, 2, 3 days at a time. I called my rep every time it was down and told him I cant have this to much competition in my field. He sail he would fix this. One to two months went by and still the same thing. I even had to run my own ads every time the yp ads didn't run and cost me more money. I just cant afford to run my ad and yp together. I talked to my rep again said i'm not paying my bill until the yp ran every day at top space. At all 3 search sites. Month later still the same thing I waned to cancel, he sad I couldn't until I payed 6 months at $800 a month I said no. Now i'm in collections. If there a class action suit against yp advertising I want to join.
Well all I got say is do not use yp for your advertising!

YellowPages cancellation of ad, for apartment rental and ad for pet sitting service no longer available

I own a duplex since 1998, when I need to place an ad I call the local news paper when the apartment is rented I call the local news paper no prolem they cancel.
I also did pet sitting and had an ad in the local news paper.
In january 2017 I received a call from yellow pages extolling the benefits of placing my ads with them instead of local news paper.
Cheaper, larger audience.
Sounded good
They recorded both conversation having me agree to 15.00 plus tax for 12 months also agree to 29.00 plus tax for 12 months
March 1st I rented the apartment. I called the same person I talked to in january to cancel my ad.
She was on vacation so I left a message
Then about 2 weeks later also in march I had to stop pet sitting
Again I called the same person back who was back from vacation
And told her I would be canceling my ad for pet sitting
Now on may I 2017 I received an email from yellow pages stating
I owed 38.99
I called the same person back and asked why
She did not know but said she would look into it
She gave me a customer service number
Well since may I to today may 10, 2017 I have had many different conversations and many different emails with an awful lot of customer complaint departments of yellow pages concerning
Why my cancelation of both my adds in march was not being recognizied. All everyone in that company say.
To bad you have a contract for 12 months so whether you need the add or not we will continue to take 38.99 from may 2017 on for 12 months
They sent me the two conversations I had in january and I listened to what was sayed between me and that first person.
Yes I give my name
Yes I hear her say what the add is for, pet sitting and apartment rental
Yes I hear her say the amount plus tax
Yes I agree for 12 months
But not once to I hear her explain that if I ever rent my apartment I would still be charged
Also not once was it explained to me if I have to stop pet sitting I would still be charged
In one of the recorded messages they sent I do hear very quickly that person mention about terms ect. But no where does she say before you agree you have to read the terms first
I was asked my name told the add bold print the area the cost plus tax and then I was asked to say I agree or not
So I hear myself say yes I agree
If I had known that that person was well aware that I was not given all the details only enough details to make the sell
If I had all the facts explained of course I would not of agreed

YellowPages online directory listing

In 2012, I started receiving phone calls from a company identifying itself as Yellow Pages-USA. They said that they were calling to updating the company's information for the yellow pages. I verified the information then I started receiving faxed bills for $1188 from a company called Open Business Directory (which also uses the alias Yellow Pages USA). They call small businesses asking them to update or verify the information for their online Yellow Pages listing. They are masquerading as the local yellow pages. If you verify your information, you will receive a fax demanding a payment of $1188 and stating that you entered a legal contract with them. They will also threaten you with legal action. In my case, information that Open Business Directory claims to have listed online does not contain the correct address of my business. This proves that this information was not provided by me or anyone at my company. Yet I have been receiving faxed invoices for $1238 (they added a $50 late fee) and have been sending a bill for 4 years now with a threat of legal action. I have called them and informed them that I have not made any contract for any services from them. They refuse to provide any documentation to support their false claim that I agreed to this service, and I have refused to pay them anything. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they provided some long rambling response that said nothing, and the peony invoices continued. I contacted the Federal Trade Commission today and filed a report with them. The FTC officer said that they are aware of this company and its fraudulent practices. I have never seen any online listing from this company. Also, the fraudulent invoices that this company faxes to me include a telephone number and a fax number. This company which claims to be an online listing service does not even have a website. It is a completely fraudulent company.

YellowPages electronic repair services

We are CanTek Microsystems, electronics repair company, located in Brooks AB, been fixing electronics for EasyHome local store, located in Brooks /closed now, for about two years. For all that time we always had problems to get paid for services we have done for EasyHome. We still have have 5 unpaid invoices from 2015 and the last one from Feb 2016.
Dealing with EasyHome accounting department (located in Ontario)always like a playing games. Sure they like to waste everybody's time. Emailing /faxing invoices were never good enough, those what were sent by a courier - still was ignored. The person name we dealt with - Aphya (not sure if i spell her name right) from accounting department, she always find an excuse to delay/avoid payments. After dealing for about two years and spent hours on the phone with her (what a waste!), finally we received one cheque from Easy home for amount of 42$ - one of the smallest one from all unpaid invoices they owed us. It was like a joke.
For the large company like EasyHome it is a shame to play games when it's come to payments. We are tired to deal with all that and moving all paper work to collection agency.

I have an account on www.yellowpages.com and I am a long time user.
Something happened to my account and now I can't log in. I tried everything but nothing helped. I really need to access my account and only YellowPages customer support can help me with that. I would be happy to get some help from them, but unfortunately they are ignoring me and do not reply!
Very disappointed with this service!

YellowPages online advertising

Do not ever sign up with yellow pages group.
They are a scam for all businesses.
The contracts are unethical and misrepresenting.
This online advertising has been a total scam of my money and is proving to be detrimental to my business! Please read the following carefully for it may save you from wasting lots of money.

1 - yellow pages group is the only one in the contract that can cancel the service. So if you signed up for $247 a month for 12 months and want to cancel after the first month you can't. I am currently signed up for a contract that costs me the amount listed above and when I asked to cancel after the second month they refused to cancel. I am stuck with this contract and filing complaints with bbb because of it.

2 - the terms and conditions do not need to be read, signed or agreed upon by you. So when you sign up for the services over the phone they just send you the terms and conditions in an e-mail, in which, get this, they actually list in the terms and conditions that they do not need to be signed, agreed upon, or even read by you. You just sign up on the phone and that's it, your locked into their terms whether you like them or not.

3 - the contract may be described as what they told me as, I quote, "a monthly service which costs $247 a month and extends for 12 months" this is a really misrepresenting way to tell you that your signed up for a 1 year contract that you cannot retreat from and don't even need to agree to their terms and conditions. I thought this meant its just a monthly service in which if not cancelled or terminated will extend for 12 months.

4 - this 12 month contract gets automatically renewed after 9 months. So lets just say you sign up, don't like the service, and want to cancel after a month. They say no your in contract for the next year. You admit defeat and decide to troop it out for the year. At the end of the 12 months you call and say my 1 year contract is over and now i'd like to terminate the services. They will respond with "i'm sorry we renewed your contract 3 months ago and your signed up for another 12 months that you cannot retreat from. Ridiculous.

5 - lets just say that after only 1 month you call them and say I will troop it out and stay for the 1 year contract but I would like to cancel the auto-renewal. They will then respond with "ok, no worries, we've cancelled your auto-renewal". Your now seemingly happy with the situation. Then after the 1 year contract is up, they send you another bill!
You call them back and say wtf I called and cancelled the auto-renewal.In which they will respond with "we don't have any records of that" at this time unless you got the cancellation of the auto-renewal in writing, your now stuck with another 1 year contract that you cannot get out of no matter how much you don't want the services.

Please fellow business owners, listen to my warnings and take note from someone that has been scammed by this company and is currently fighting tooth and nail to have this contract terminated. Never sign up with yellow pages group ever. Tell your friends and family about their unethical business practices and make sure no one supports this company. I can no longer afford these costs for my small business yet the bills keep coming. It has been the single most difficult and frustrating scenario i've ever dealt with, with any company i've ever done business with in my life. I've grown to hate yellow pages group and I assure you will also if you sign up with this company.

If you wish to contact me for any information on how to fight the contract that you may yourself have been roped into or wish to share your story with me please do.
My e-mail is [protected]@gmail.com

YellowPages password

I get log into my account and no one from YellowPages seems to care! I sent them tons of messages but they simply do not react!
Every time I want to log in there that screen which said that my password is incorrect. I tried the “forgot password” option but it did not help!
Well, I can actually live without it and it's simple enough to make a new account, but the fact that YellowPages customer service doesn't care makes me mad! They completely ignored me and in my opinion that is how they showed their disrespect towards me! I'm officially done with YellowPages!

YellowPages cancellation is a pain!

Ron Mullin, from Yellow Pages, Vancouver BC, told me that I could cancel the contract before the start date of the service. My YP service was scheduled to start at a latter date because I had to start my business before going online. One month before the start date, I let him know that I couldn't start my business, so I had nothing to advertise; I wanted to cancel my FUTURE service.

I emailed and phoned him, customer service and my new account manager a lot of times, and they would just leave me without any answer, lie with an "I'm working on that" or ignore my multiple requests. I had to phone from a different line so that they will finally take my phone call!

The contract doesn't specify anything about cancellations before the starting date of the service, even Ron told me that I could cancel. Yet they manage to deny my right of cancellation.

DON'T use Yellow Pages! They are just behind your money. You'll need to chase them when you actually need them. So frustrating!

YellowPages advertisement

I have started an advertisement with yellow page for the last 3 months. I have paid them over $400. It was an over phone contract for 1 year. They guaranteed me that I will receive calls and emails from the customers. However the past 3 months I have not receive any calls or emails. When ever I tried to get in contact with my sales representative, it seems like they ignoring me. For the past 1 and a half month I'm trying to get in contact with him but no responds. Then I called the customer care, they keep on telling me I will be getting a call in next 48 hour but I never received any calls. Then I told them that since I'm a high school student I don't have the money to pay for their service unless I receive any progress but it still the same. I want to cancel my account with but they always ignoring me. Being a senior in high school I have to pay for my college application, so I keep telling them this, as if they don't care. When I told them I will stop paying then they said they will send it to collection agencies, however when i looked at my advertisement on http://adsolutions.yp.com/ it was showing my ads are pending, so in 3 months they didn't put up ad but charged me which mean they stole our money. so that's why I would like to know if you guys can help me fix this. It will be really appreciated. Thanks You

YellowPages Driver phoning and texting whilst driving

The way this business works is that the taxi driver acts as dispatcher. He was answering phone calls from clients, taking his phone to his ear (i.e. nor hands-free system), even texting stuff to his other drivers whilst he was driving on the highway. This happened several times during the journey, in spite of me asking him to stop using his phone whilst driving. I do not ask for refund, just that he be warned to stop this behaviour and stop putting people's lives in danger.

YellowPages overcharging

Skeptical and dissatisfied with yellow page advertising prices and lies. Was told that if I wanted my listing on their website I had to pay the complete price they wanted which was above board. My website is on page 5 and not working for me, but they hold to their facts that if I opt out from the advertising portion of their billing, I will no longer be visible with them etc etc . From what I have been told, the whole thing is a scam and untruth, therefor, I hope to sit down with them in person and resolve this hideous mess for I hear that they have indeed a contract with Google to get one on the first page, but they certainly have not dealt with me properly.

I totally agree! I signed up with Yellow Pages Ausralia at the start of November 09 and the Ad still is not right! and when you try to get things sorted they just give you the run around "oh so sorry, I'll try and chase that up for you, " or "the person who is hanling that said that they fixed it" and then they expect to be paid! and not even a proof sent out first!
I have spent more time sending well crafted emails to them, so as not to be too rude, and to which they dont respond, and all the while I have not had a single job through them! and not one call from the online ad either!

Does any one have a number to call the head office?

I am sorry that you are not happy with yellow pages. I was looking online and found a website that your business can have a FREE ebillboard. Just go to seekshallfind.com. I was talking to my friend Mike and he has a ebillboard and he is happy with his ebillboard.

It is a well known fact that dealing with telemarketing agents can sometimes be one of life's most stressful and stagnating experiences.

Harassing calls, threats and use of obscene language can coerce you to the edge and moreover, a collector may embarrass you by contacting your employer or even be pursued to disburse for a debt that is not rightfully yours.

There are limits on how far telemarketers can go, that is why we provide information on how to put an end to telemarketer calls and more efficiently, how to correspond with them about your account and/or to dispute a collection action and can teach you what are your rights in terms of privacy.

You can find out more information on our

Probably not unless your contract states something to the effect that if you don't gain any business from it you can stop paying, I doubt that's the case. Yellow Pages doesn't work that way. They guarantee to place the ad in their listings, but I don't think they guarantee increased business.

YellowPages misrepresentation

YP
sales agent grossly overstated & misrepresented product results in
an attempt to induce me to enter into a contractual relationship with
YP. In August 2013, a YP sales agent visited my store to discuss YP
online advertising. After a brief conversation & I expressed that I
was possibly interested. She returned a week or so later & we
discussed the details further, but I still wasn't sure. She told me I
would have tremendous results based upon search statistics that she
cited & that if I wasn't satisfied with the results, I could opt out
at any time. About a week later she returned with a colleague, who
reiterated her claims & told me to expect that YP advertising would
be so effective that my company would quickly "be transformed to a
higher level of sales". He cited several examples of past success
stories & again I was told I could opt out at any time if not fully
satisfied. I decided given the representations made & the opt out
option offered, to try it for a brief period of time. After a month I
had zero results & contacted the sales rep via email, to express my
concern. She told me it takes some time to see results & to stick
with it. After another month of zero results I contacted her to get me
out. Instead she said she would make some adjustments to my listing,
reduce my cost & I should see better results. She had me sign a
document to make those changes. She failed to inform me that not only
were we making changes, but I was also signing up for an additional year
of service. The changes did nothing & I contacted her to get me out
of this horrible agreement. Instead she had a man contact me to review
my listing & offer solutions to enhance my experience. He wanted to
give me a red border to highlight me ad, change the categories, etc.
Again, I was given a document to sign & assured it was only to make
the additional changes. Again, I later discovered I signed for an
additional 12 months. Why on earth would I sign up for 12 months of a
service that I'm trying to get out of to begin with. The rep mislead me
again. The results were still zero, so I contacted my rep, trying to get
out of the deal. She did not respond for 3 weeks. Apparently, she was
on vacation & could not receive emails & nobody covers her
account when she's away? I told her please get me out & sent her
emails to that affect as well. She told me she would speak with her
manager & cancel the contract. Meanwhile, I instructed my bank to
stop the auto pay to YP. I never heard from her again. My calls &
emails went unanswered. Then I started receiving calls from the YP
collections dept. I explained the situation, forwarded the ongoing email
correspondence & was told a manager would soon contact me. I heard
nothing, but several weeks later received another YP collection call. I
again explained the situation & was told the district manager would
be notified & I would be contacted to discuss the matter. Nobody
ever called me. Then I received the first of 2 threatening collections
letters. Yesterday a YP sales rep called me to inform me that my account
had been cancelled & wanted to know what he could do to get my
business back. I explained the situation & was told that somebody
would call me. I just Googled YP complaints & find that I am one of
many, customers that were promised results that they never received
& when they attempted to work it out were ignored & strong
armed by the collections dept. I have been defrauded &
misrepresented by YP. My attempts to resolve this in a reasonable manner
have gone unanswered. I am a small business & cannot spend money
($518 per month) on a service that, despite claims to the contrary,
yields zero results. The gap between the promises made & the results
is staggering. I am filing this complaint in a last ditch effort to
resolve this without taking legal action, but I will take such action,
if necessary.

Your experience sounds like ours. Hands down YP Ad Solutions, under the leadership of John (Andy) Stann [protected] is the most deceitful of any company we have done business with. We are small business owners in St Louis, Missouri. Because YP failed to produce anywhere near the number of leads they claimed they could with their “Mega Zone” and “Levers and Pulleys” shell game, we had informed YP.com that we had no intentions of renewing when our salesman, Mark Kennon [protected] and Andy Stann insisted on meeting with us to present their latest scam. The previous year’s scam was failing miserably, Andy Stann and Mark Kennon did not deny that and as they should, they did agree to compensate us for the documented poor performance as they had done periodically during the campaign. They also promised that they would still provide the promised leads even if it took into the next ad campaign. We felt with such promises, their willingness to rework our ad (that they felt was the main reason our previous campaign was unsuccessful) and an additional ad, supposedly at a drastic discount that we would sign up one last time. We agreed to try another year of print ads in their obsolete Yellow Pages. It didn’t take too long to realize we had been completely scammed once again! Andy Stann and Mark Kennon were already refusing to keep their promises from the previous campaign prior to the new book hitting the streets. When we were sent the additional ad, we quickly noticed that the phone number was incorrect and that the ad was actually cut off mid-sentence. We went over the obvious mistakes on the phone with one of the many, many people we had to contact because our salesman, Mark Kennon could not be reached. We hoped the issue was taken care of though we never received a corrected hard copy. We also asked to proof the “new and improved ad” they were going to provide- it never arrived. We were never allowed to proof our expensive ad. Not until we received the book did we see that not only did they publish the additional ad without the corrections they published our OLD ad again (the ad they attributed to the previous campaign’s dismal performance) with the wrong phone number as well. Just when we couldn’t believe our YP experience couldn’t get any worse THEY ACTUALL WANT US TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES! We continue to be surprised that everyone that we talk to at YP seem extremely confused as to why we wouldn’t be willing to pay for the broken promises and the incorrect ads. Incorrect ads must happen frequently because according to their very tiny print contract just because they print a completely wrong ad doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay for it! They actually have addressed this in their contract! One woman from YP has been calling us about the outstanding balance for some time now and addresses us by some other name everytime- they can’t even keep our names straight! We are actually getting calls from a collection agency and have been told a lawsuit is coming. Curious about how your situation ended or if your are still in collection limbo?

YellowPages sucks

After paying YP.com for 11 months I received a call from LocalSplash.com, an actual internet advertising specialist. I had noticed that my business had been gradually getting slower & slower for the previous year. Ten days after advertising with LocalSplash, my business took off! It was like turning on a faucet. I was doing jobs every day and that was fantastic. I immediately called YP.com to let them know that their performance was non-existant and that they should cancel my advertising immediately. Of course their customer service dept. never let anyone know that I fired their company, so today I received a call from their collections dept. I let them know where they could file their future bills and that I had already cancelled the visa card they were billing, so they wouldn't be sucking anymore money from my account. I also labelled their phone # as BS in my phone memory (along with a host of other co's) so I know not to bother fielding anymore calls from them in the future. If you are unlucky enough to have opened an account with YP.com just remember, You never signed anything because in their greed, they never bother to send Anyone an actual contract to sign & without a signature their so-called "contract" is already null & void. Chew on that awhile YP.com thieves.

YellowPages misleading sales rep and ineffective ads

YP.com sales people contacted me here in Hampton Roads, VA about my cleaning business and I agreed to meet with them. The sales person tried to sell me a website over and over, which I kept telling her I didn't want - I just wanted an ad. She told me that paying for an ad with YP will also create an advertisement with Yahoo and Yelp because YP owned those companies. It seemed like a good deal, so I agreed to an $80 per month ad package. The sales rep told me that with this package, our ad would appear on the first page of the Yellowpages.

Well, it took over a month for the ad to appear on YP. They immediately deducted the payment, however. I called customer service during the first month and they told me that it takes time for the advertisement to appear. I asked why it didn't take time for them to take payments, too. I requested a refund for the first month and they told me they can't do that. Emails went unanswered. The ad finally appeared a little over a month after they took the first payment. When it appeared, it was on the second page of listings, not the first as promised by the sales lady. Customer service says they can't do anything about what a sales rep says. The keywords do not work properly in the search.

I've now had the ads for four months and they are a terrible investment. Ads never appeared on Yahoo or Yelp. Customer service said that YP has no control over what other companies do and can only suggest a listing to them. I thought they owned these companies. I feel like a sucker, now. The ads have produced absolutely no business for me. The ads only attract more telemarketers and sales people, but no customers. Sometimes someone calls me asking for a job. The sales people are nowhere to be found and you can only speak to customer service, which seems to have no power to correct anything. They absolutely will not budge on this contract thing and threaten to turn me over to a collectons agency if I don't pay. Any company that requires contracts has a reason. Stay away!

YellowPages false promises, poor customer service

YP.COM salesman Brian Averback made promises of great things for our business when we agreed to sign a one year contract for over $800.00 a month. We were very disappointed with the results, and when we asked for our contract to be modified to better fit our needs, Brian, and his Manager Joe Pottle came and tried to talk us into a new one year contract with more great promises.
When we did not sign, but instead asked them to provide the service they promised, they smiled, said they would do everything they could to help us, and left.

Not surprisingly, we have never heard from them again.

When we contacted customer service we were basically told that of course the salesmen would say anything to get the contract, but they only sell contracts. They are not responsible for actually making sure we got the services promised.
Oh, by the way, you are stuck. We are sorry you have spent over $8, 000 on services that did not work for your company, but you signed the contract, and we are not going to take any steps to try and give you the customer service promised.

YellowPages - fraud online subscription - yellow-page-usa.com

They sent a fax to our company on 9/2011 requesting updated information about our company. I faxed back with big words that state remove our # from all list! Thank you. I check the box to be removed from their fax list also. They called me 9/7/2011, 10/10/2011, 4/20/12 & 5/30/12. Each time I told them we did not order any subscription services from them and...

YellowPages rip off

I operated a small home based business for 32 years paying for an ad in the yellow pages during that time. I retired in September, had my business line disconnected and now yellow pages is trying to collect over thirteen hundred dollars from me for advertising for the next year. Am i responsible for paying this bill. I had talked to their rep in June advising her I would likely be retiring and she encouraged to keep the ad in, should I change my mind. I was left with the impression that once my phone was disconnected the contract was over.

YellowPages don't get into this program!

ATT has a YP Clicks campaign whereby they "guarantee" on the phone that they will generate clicks to your website which will hopefully generate business or clientele. However, after 90 days on this program, they have generated a rate of less than 50% of the clicks they said they would generate. Of course, the contract says that they don't warranty any clicks though the program is called YP120 indicating that they are going to get you 120 clicks per month [clever]. Furthermore, they lock you into a contract and you owe the full amount of the contract term even if they don't live up to their end of the deal. Don't get into this program! Save your advertising dollars for something that works and for a company that honors what they say they are going to do!

YellowPages fraudulent billing practices

This company cold called pretending to be "The Yellow Pages" asking if we wanted to renew our online ad from last year. They went over our details (no account number, just basic info) and told me that someone from the verification department would call me back shortly to confirm the listing. After she hung up another call came in a few minutes later and they verified the listing on a recorded line. This behavior is the number 1 way to know there's a scam, separate phone calls, with the second one recorded.
From doing some online research, I expect they'll send a bill since asking to remit payment to:
Yellow PagesUSA Corp.
391 NW 179th Ave
Aloha, OR 97006

I didn't give any payment info so if they do I'll have to contest it. For now I'm faxing them at [protected] to tell them I don't want their service. I also called [protected] and that's just a voicemail. Watch out!

They've moved their operations from Oregon to NY... you'll want to file a complaint with the NY Atty General, which you can do by fax. Their new phone number is [protected] and their fax is [protected], their site is http://theyellowpagesusa.com and their unregistered parent company is http://www.webshoproducers.com . If you call them, their phone system says Yellow Pages USA (the old company name) but they'll insist there's a difference between the old company (which they say they aren't even affiliated with) and the new company with the "The" in front of "Yellow Pages USA". Their address is

616 Corporate Way
Suite 2, #2442
Valley Cottage, NY 10989, USA

and Webshoproducers.com's address is
455 Route 306, Suite 2442
Monsey, New York 10952, USA

Make sure and file the "Consumer Frauds Bureau Complaint Form" located here... http://www.ag.ny.gov/bureaus/consumer_frauds/filing_a_consumer_complaint.html

I was contacted by the YP representative, and went through what they were offering. We had a slow down in the company ( a plumbing company) so I listened. I was Sold a pay as you go item. It was explained to me like this:
1. They would create and add for my approval.
2. it would use their number so that they could track the calls and collect numbers
3. there would be a website that I could retrieve the numbers if we missed the calls
4. that in bound call would announce that it was from yp
5. that I would not have to pay from sales calls, only customers
6. that any call that wasn't a customer I could dispute. just make a list
7. that a percentage of the calls would automatically be removed
The day the sales guy came to show me the ads they were completely wrong. I told him they were, and I was told that I need to sign for the size of the add and that they would make all changes I need. (I still have a copy of the email I sent them) no changes where ever issued. they published the ads with our company doing work we never do, in places we don't serve, doing things we aren't even lic. to do.
The person that sold the ads never returned calls, I was finally told that I would get a call from a supervisor.. no call ever came.
about a month later I noticed I was getting a lot of calls from a 415-?-5555 number but I was unable to answer them. I called it back and found that it was a forwarding number for yp. I called them and went to this website. The website was down, seem like it was always having problems. if it was up you couldn't log into your account, or if you did you couldn't see numbers or anything else of use. when called they were nice and after several call agreed to test the lines. 9 calls where made to test the lines.. they decided it was working even though I only was able to answer 2 of those calls, and then billed me for the test calls.
After complaining about that they finally took those calls off my bill. but then presented me with a bill for several calls (65-85 per call) of which I had received none. I called for the account supervisor again, still no answer, even the customer care could not get my account person or his supervisor on the phone.
During the next month two calls made it through the forwarding process, ( from the number they called, to the yp forwarding, to our voip, to our mobile phones) one looking for a roofer (we are plumbing) and one asking for a different company that had this number last year.
I was told that if I cancelled or refused to pay the number would be forwarded to some one else. I called and told them I was blocking the call. that I was not interested in this mess anymore. that they should forward the calls to another company..
its now some time later they still call and try and collect 2800 that they think I owe.
My Company never received a single customer, never received a call back from the supervisor, never gave final approval (which they now say is not required) I never got ANY value, The phone never said who was calling, I was never able to get the called numbers from their system or anyplace else.
COMPLETE LIES, Mutual Consideration is still a requirement. promises made from their side broken everywhere.. from the first " I will be here to walk you through everything" to the cancelling of the contracts..
Now they have their lawyers calling. Take me to court

We have been getting invoices for over a year. Never asked to for them to run an add for us. I have tried to call them and the lady (so to speak ) just hangs up on me when I tried to tell her there was no one and had never been a Sally Mae that worked here to authorize this. So they will just keep going in the trash,

I had the same thing happen at the beginning of the year. Haven't sent them any form of payment but they kept sending invoices, recently threatening with their "legal department". I filed a complaint with the BBB and Indiana Attorney General which made the phone calls stop for a short while and invoices stop until today asking for us to pay our outstanding balance. Not exactly sure what else to do, any suggestions?!

I work for Dex One (legit yellow pages and on-line advertising) and I hear these stories from our clients all the time. If you feel something is suspicious ask the yellow page advertising person to send you an email that has the domain of the company in it. For instance our email address are [firstname.lastname@dexone.com] They probably won't even send the email. They will give up on you and move to the next unsuspecting target.
