Canadian Tire battery booster

Had bought this unit and just after the warranty was up it stopped working as it should. I won't fully charged anymore! It did work great when it was new. I guess I threw away 150.00 on that poor decision! I have had a number of issues with mastercraft tools and equipment in general over the last couple years. Seems like the build quality isn't what it use to be! Very sad! Canadian tire was always my first go to when I needed anything! Not anymore, I will go to other stores first and if I can't find it I will go back to canadian tire. Normally only go if an item I am looking for is on sale. I am not the only one that feels that the quality of items at canadian tire isn't what it once was!

Canadian Tire auto

Went for my car service on July 10 @ 10:20 am for oil change on my VW Passat. I was told they could do it right away and it will be 45- mins to 1 hour. Returned to get it after 1.5 hrs being told that its almost done and just doing paperwork. On Returning after 20 mins. I was told that they were waiting for oil filter delivery in 5 mins and then oil change will be done so another 20 mins(why was i told they are finishing paperwork when the job was not even done and they wont even call me and inform me about it. Later again after 1 hour @2:30 pm the service was complete which is total of 3 hours. I asked for inconvenience discount which the agent refused saying cant do anything and i'll have to wait for manager or assistant supervisor. When the supervisor came he said I apologize but no discount for it. I explained after being said 45 mins to 1 hr it took 3 hours. You dont care. He says i can olny apologize. Which is wasteage of my time. Very rude assistant supervisor but polite agent. Very bad experience will not recommend any friend here again. I need this complaint to be looked after and hoping for a positive resolution. Thanks

Canadian Tire I am submitting my complaint about an employee at 16 dentith road halifax ns

On Wednesday July 5th I had gone into the Canadian tires on Dentith Road, i had purchased a pool a water hose and a air pump, the pool and the water hose was purchased about 45 mins before I realized I needed a air pump for the ring of the pool, I had an employee help me out by helping me find an air pump threats best for me to use, the gentleman helped me out and he gave me the wrong one and we realized it after he rang me through I didn't even leave the store with it, it was just an honest mistake he made that's all nobody was really at fault. So after that another employee named Mary very lovely lady, helped me to get the one I needed, she said to me just tell customer service I put it back in the shelf and to just exchange it cause it was a mistake, so when I went to the customer service desk Karen was her name, said I already know she called me, she was very Sarcastic. I then took the pump home my brother had already brought a air pump and had it blown up, so in Saturday was my day off I decided to go over to Canadian Tire where I bought the pump at to return it because I have 90 days, Karen was there again, when I was explaining to her that I didn't need it she totally cut me off, and was very ignorant and rude and said you can only return something once which you did and I was the one who did it, and I said ok but clearly you don't k ow the whole situation because I was sold the wrong one and it wasn't even removed from the store and I asked for a manager and she said continued to lean against the counter laugh at me she was staring me down trying to intimidate me waiting for the manager to come, the manager came I explained what happened and she gave me money back because all of this happened at the same time and it wasn't something I could help because I was sold the wrong one. Karen gave me the worst customer service I have ever received in my entire life, wheather she was having a bad or not, nobody deserves to be treated that way when they come in to your store I don't believe she should be working with the public at all.

Canadian Tire employees stole my wallet and all my id and money

Canadian tire, located in Edmonton at Kingsway location.
I am a disabled man, riding a mobility scooter, 2 days ago I saw two employees, young men breaking up wooden paletts behind the store, I stopped to ask them if i could have some for my fire pit, they said they wanted my info to present to the manager for inquiry, I took out my wallet and looked for a card, then sat it on the concrete divider, it fell off, to the side where the employees stood, while the one kept me distracted the other stole my wallet, when i ask for my wallet back they denied it and called me stupid. I notified the police and all authorities, I ended up with 2 days of anxiety attacks. I spent probably 20 thousand at that store in the past 2 years. I just want my wallet and all my ID back. There was not much money in it, Just give my wallet back.

Canadian Tire product and service complaint

I took my car for an emissions test at the Fort Eire Canadian Tire. It failed but all I need was a new fuel cap. So I went to the auto parts section and asked an employee to find the fuel cap that I need for my specific make and model of car. He gave my the correct fuel cap that cost me $25. Two days after fitting the new fuel cap, before my next emissions re-test, my check engine light came back on. So I thought that it must be something more serious. I took my car to a local garage in town. They ran a diagnostic and told my that all I need is a new fuel cap. I told them that I just bought a new cap two days ago at Canadian Tire. They told me to never buy parts from Canadian Tire because it's all 'Junk'. They done a smoke test on my car and told me that the smoke was pouring out of the fuel cap. So they got me a new cap from the GM dealer. Problem solved but it cost me $132 (Diagnostic+part+tax).

I told the manager of the auto section, when my car was back at Canadian Tire for a re-test (30/06/17), about the faulty fuel cap. He told me that these fuel caps do not work for cars made by GM. They work for Toyata's and Honda's but when they are repairing a GM car that needs a fuel cap they order one in from a dealer rather than use the one that I bought from Canadian Tire.

I went to the customer service desk and because I did not have a receipt or original packaging that they won't help me. I told them that I did purchase the fuel cap with debit so maybe they could check that. But they said that they could not. I told the woman that even the auto parts manager said himself that the fuel cap will not work on a Gm car. So I said to her that "I just spent $25 on a product that does not work". She shrugged her shoulders and with a smug grin, as if she got pleasure from it, said "Yep". So I walked off.

So to recap, I bought a $25 part from Canadian Tire that should have solved the problem. I even asked an auto parts employee to get me the correct one so it would fit properly. The part itself said on the packaging 'emissions tested approved'. That should have solved the problem. But I ended up spending an extra $132 to solve a problem that the $25 Canadian Tire part should have fixed.

Canadian Tire auto service department (yes, the whole department, especially the guy in charge).

Saturday June 24th 2017: My car begins smoking and leaking rad fluid so I had CAA tow me to this location. They tell me the issue is with my thermostat/thermostat housing. It was fixed for $650 on Monday. I figure this was the end of it..I was very very wrong.
Monday June 26th: Walk to pick up my car, they tell me that it's good to go but oh, my speedometer is not working. It had been working fine until I got it back. I placed a complaint but ultimately move on from this issue.
Wednesday June 28th: Took a drive and the exact issues I had on Saturday resurfaced. Overheating, smoking, and rad fluid leaking. Now clearly something wasn't fixed correctly, so I called an asked if they would take another look, they even offered to comp. the cost of the diagnosis ($120), lucky me I thought! Again, I was super wrong. After a few minutes of looking at it they come back and tell me "it's your rad fan". I ask if they are going to fix since clearly the first time around they fixed the wrong thing, and the director of sales Alex informs me "No, it's going to be $720". I was pretty surprised since it seems I had to come back because the first time I came in and spent over $600 to not even have my car fixed correctly! He says "We can't tell if it's the fan if the car is immobile". Well they test drove it, and a crack is a pretty noticeable thing when the car is immobile! So after discussing it with Alex over in the auto department, and being talked down to in an extremely condensing tone, I discovered he does not care about customer service or helping out people when his workers made a mistake. So ok, I spoke to a different customer service rep in the other part of the store and got a phone number to call. After calling this number, they had the store OWNER call me. Now, first I would like to say I apologize to this man because I did lose my temper. However, it's hard to remain calm when you are spoken to like somehow, your broken car is your fault. He says "we need to be able to trust our customers" and seemed to be using the fact that I placed a compliant (as is my right as a customer and a human) about my broken speedometer against me. As if, "you said bad things, so I don't want to help you". Very interesting to me that the people at this store kept claiming "We care about customers and your business!" when clearly they do not. They did not offer any helpful solutions, not even to compensate for the clear misdiagnosis the first time I brought in. Owner claims that a car can run with a broken rad fan, sure ok.. but clearly not mine. The guys there fixed something that clearly didn't need to be and ignored the HUGE crack (I've seen it, the people I took it to for fixing showed me). Alex told me they make a "guess at what it could be".. a guess?! Seriously? If someone comes in with leaking rad fluid, an overheating vehicle, and there is a visible crack in the fan, shouldn't someone put 2 and 2 together to begin with? The store owner claims they just want to do the "least amount of work possible at the least cost of the customer"..well, obviously the least amount of work thing is correct, but it seems like the cheapest thing for the customer would be to fix the fan the first time, not make guesses at what it could be and then when I return try to squeeze more money out of me instead of making it right.
Long story short: Do not go here if you want good service, a car that actually works, or to feel like you are valued. The men in the auto department and the owner will just give you the run around, act like it's your fault, and talk down to you. Me, my friends, and my family will never again be shopping at this establishment.

Canadian Tire pool

Bought 16 foot pool end of may the pump leaked. Took it back got a new one it leaked too. Woke up Jun 26 to water in my yard, the pool had split. I took my daughter to see if they would refund my money or not. One customer service person in a 10 customer lineup at any given time. THe clerk said no all u get is an in store credit, and I said but its under warranty. She never smiles or is kind to anyone ive shopped there for years. She says youll have to get a manager so I wait ten minutes for him. He says yes no problem if you go home and drain your pool well refund your money. So I did brought it back and the customer service girl was glaring at me for annoying her so I said you know you could smile once in awhile she got really mad. She went directly to the store manager and told him I was being belligerent. The girl who took her spot was nice but then she needed authorization again from a manager and I said when I was here last, the manager at the time said it was fine for refund. They ask me what color tie was this MANAGER wearing saying I was not telling the truth. I said this is [censor] ridiculous (shouldn't have sworn but this was after and hour of this). THe store manager came out being totally condescending saying you better calm down lady I said well let me talk to the store manager he said Its me ha ha and threw his business card down. Go ahead call me. Other people in the line were also complaining about the situation. And he says youre banned from this store. An older gentleman came out and said ok we will process the return. He did it and I left. The pool that they are selling is faulty and they couldn't have cared one single bit about it. I spend tons of money there on my CT credit card but guess what! I bought my new pool at Walmart and it works perfectly. Don't shop at Canadian Tire Nanaimo if you don't want to be royally screwed over.

Canadian Tire bike department and customer service

I bought a bike a month ago. There was no help/ consulting from the staff during buying although I required many times for some help. At the end I bought the bike without any help and answer to my questions. In turned out on the way to home There was no air in the tires. So I had to push the bike until home.

Moreover, a few days later I asked for a free adjustment of the bike at the customer service in the store where I bought the bike. They postponed the appointment every week for the adjustment of the seat and handle bars although I am there on time every week. The customer service has an another excuse Every week when I am there and send me back with an another appointment.

I already regret buying the bike in Canadian tire.

Canadian Tire repair of brakes

My daughter took her van into CT Gravenhurst and had the brakes checked. The bill came close to 1700.00 if not more.
She said when when left and had errands to run there was a smell but she put it down to the newness of the brake job. The very next day she returned the van to.the Gravenhurst store and was now told her calipers ceased and it was going to cost her an additional 200.00 roughly, to fix them.
My query is this as her mother, when she had the first visit and was asked to check the van, the calipers in my estimation should have been checked. The calipers have to be removed to get at the pads so help me understand how defective calipers were put back in place that shouldn't have been. So she pays that kind of money and the calipers weren't part of the repair..this makes no sense to me. The very next day they cease up and now she's putting out of pocket an additional expense of about 200.00 more when i feel the store made a mistake ..its their goof up..and she shouldn't have had to pay the additional when she thought they had made the proper repairs the first visit. I'm sorry but the cost should have been covered by Can Tire for that 2nd visit and repair !

Canadian Tire repairs

bought your lawnmower june last year because of easy start feature. early that fall, I couldn't start it.
would not start this spring either so I brought it in to same store I bought it from before warranty expired.
was told carburater was broken. I said usually carburators just need adjusting and was told they had to order the whole kit for this mower.
I asked for how long do they guarantee their work, he wasn't sure.
I asked if this was due to manufacturing defect and was told yes.

i'm writing because I want to protect myself and my machine from hostile mechanic, I had several confrontations with local mechanics who claim price of repairs for in this case, a lawn mower that is still under warranty.

one guy said the moter head of my snowblower was shot, I ran out of there, backwards, and there was nothing wrong with it. it's still operationall. he stood to collect mony for repairs and recycle my motor head. they discontinued 12 hp apparently.

this is only one experience with local mechanics. it's a form of harassment, a power trip over an allophone [censor]!

i'm hoping you will support my right to fair and competent service. next stop is chamber of commerce.

it's july 20th and I still don't have my lawnmower back they told me the part is backordered and they couldn't give me approximate date of repair.
I have parkinsons and live in the country and had to pay someone more than 100.00 to control 3-foot high grass. this is unreal, service is hostile and shaune is condescending, referring to me as my dear. if I have to spend anymore money on clearing grass I will claim in small claims.

Canadian Tire air mattress and customer service

I bought an Air Mattress from The South Common Location in Edmonton Alberta for my Mother in law who flew in from Toronto. I got home and blew it up only to have it deflate moments later. By this time Canadian tire was closed so I had to go to Walmart and buy a different one. I went back to the same Canadian Tire the next day with the receipt, Canadian Tire Money and the Air Mattress and attempted to return the faulty item. I did not need nor want another as I already had gotten one at 10:30 at night. I was flat out refused a return the woman at the desk told me to go and pick another Air Mattress and exchange it. After arguing with her for 10 minutes telling her I did not need another one she finally decided to call a Manager. She called her Manager and came back and told me that she still could not process a return. I asked to speak to her Manager. I waited a while for him and when he came down he explained to me that due to "Hygienic" reasons they could not return the Air Mattress. I explained to him that "Hygienic" reasons shouldn't matter since the Air Mattress was Faulty. He continued to refuse to give me my money back. Finally he offered me a store credit which I didn't want because frankly I never want to step foot into one of your stores again. I am disgusted by the customer service I received. I have worked in retail I have in fact done Loss Prevention for your stores for Kingsway, Fort Road and Millwoods town Centre Canadian Tire in Edmonton Alberta for over a year. Not once have I ever seen such disrespect. That excuse he used about "Hygiene" was ridiculous unless he was planning on boxing up a faulty Air Mattress and Re-Selling it, I should have been given my money back.

I will be sharing my experience with my friends and family and on Social Media I really hope your company takes this complaint seriously and I hope this item doesn't get resold since it will most likely get returned and you will have another complaint on your hands.

Canadian Tire treadmill c990

I am very disappointed to submit this complain that I visited Canadian Tire 7650 Markham Rd, Markham, ON L3S 3K1 on 17th June 2017 to buy treadmill Nordick track C990. I approached sports area and the staff there told me that we do not have that treadmill available when I told them its available in your stock than he told me to wait and let me see if i can bring that to you. After waiting of 45 minutes he told me, go to customer services first and talk to them. I went to customer services and asked them why you guys are not selling me treadmill when I want to buy it, the lady there called sports centre guys and the staff there looked like they were least interested to bring that treadmill at check out counter may be they dont want to do because its heavy. The staff is highly unconcern and unwilling to serve customers. They told me lot of paper work required and bla bla. I was so shocked that why these guys are doing that when they are supposed to sell store items. After 1 hour of hassle and waiting I left the store and purchased the treadmill through amazon.ca but am very disappointed by the store staff they have which is least interested to sell items.

Canadian Tire parts and service

I have been increasingly been having bad service with the parts department and service. My wife who was 7 months visibly pregnant bought me a car battery while I was at work. The parts person was really sexist towards her, implying that since she's a woman she doesn't know anything about vehicles and then had the audacity to make her carry the battery herself and refused to help in any way. Thats crap service and unacceptable.

Canadian Tire charge for installing tires bought in canadian tire

The father in law purchased 4 tires at Peace River Canadian Tire, had to wait over a month to get them in and was charged $23.00 a tire plus tax to install them. I have never been charged to install tires when you buy them from any store. Tires are always sold with removal, balancing, and installation on the vehicle or just on the rims but either way it is included.

Canadian Tire customer service

Entered Orillia, Ontario customer Service desk on Thursday June 8 at 1920 (7:20pm) to have a correction made to my receipt from a 20 minute previous purchases in Gravenhurst, Ontario. My options card did not process the 20x points offered that day. This ensued into a ridiculous cat and mouse with an uncooperative teenage employee at the desk named Megan.

First I was informed that I would have to deal with the points issue at the store I bought it from. I departed the store then thought to myself why cant they simply return the items then re ring the items back in scan my points card correctly and everyone's happy.

I returned to the store 20 min later and requested a return and was informed by Megan that the items could only be returned to the store they were purchased from. To which I replied I had returned items from other locations in the past, and that Can Tire was a corporation no different that Walmart or Best Buy.

I requested to speak to a store manager and was told very sternly she couldn't help as the items were different from store to store. I mentioned both items were in the weekend flyer and that "Certified" is Canadian Tire's national brand. She checked her computer and informed me the "Certified" product could be replaced but not the Mastercraft product. I again stated the product was in the sales flyer.
It wasn't worth my time and aggravation at the beginning of my vacation for $4.00 in points so I left. I also could tell Megan's aggravation level had increased as her face was very flush and red as well.

I returned to Gravenhurst store after my holiday and was questioned why they didn't perform a simple return and recharge in Orillia? I explained the situation and they stated that that was very poor customer service and that I should make a complaint. They also directed me to call the points center which Dianne handled the issue in a fast, courteous and very apologetic manner and corrected the balance. I wish I known it would be that easy and could of saved myself 30 min and a unhappy 2 hour drive afterwords.

I understand we all have bad days but at a customer service desk satisfying customer issues should be paramount no matter how small the issue.
Perhaps better training or more experienced employees dealing with customer services would have prevented this unpleasant situation .

I appreciate your time and anticipated action to correct this misinformed employee I certainly do not hold her fully responsible.

Richard.

Canadian Tire 3 year battery replacement warranty

Paid a reputable garage who diagnosed that after 2 years my $169 car battery was no good.
I took it to the location I bought it from in Niagara Falls and the only person working in the parts department told me that although the entire transaction had been printed on the warranty receipt he couldn't help me.
The transaction showed the store number, date of purchase, price, etc.
I hate to call people names but the only way to describe this man in his 40's is buffoon.
If a company is leaving someone in charge, they should know what they are doing.
I spent $26 to have the battery tested.
Now I have been inconvenienced more than I should have been by what should have been a very simple transaction.
I now have a dead battery and will need to purchase a new battery.
NOT FROM CANADIAN TIRE.

Canadian Tire service dept manager

Took my car in as usual for my bi-annual oil change (I've been going there for years!) . The service manager was not friendly. Work was done, I paid and left not feeling like it was a good experience. (First time I had ever seen this guy). Got into the car and the driver's matt was full of dirt which it wasn't when taken in. I took the matt in to show him, he was not happy but said he would clean it. Not the best job but better. What happened to those paper matt's the mechanic would put down when they were in the car? Experience getting worse.
I had a synthetic oil change with the Castrol promo. If you get 6 oil changes you get the 7th free. He gave me my sticker. Somehow I lost the tag.
Went back a week later (after looking everywhere)to see if I could get a replacement tag. Well, no he said since what's stopping me from coming back and getting an extra free oil change. I said, 1-wouldn't do that, 2-you have my record showing what services were done.
Not a nice guy. Not a nice experience. Not sure I will go back .
