And eventhough it was brand new tire it was keep loosing air, so I want to talk to them at the store and explain them whole story. One of your rep I am not sure about her name but I guess her name was paramjeet kaur or something she started arguing with me that I did so.ething wrong that's why it happen. So pay money again then only you guys will replace the tire.

I would never ever promote anyone to go to Canadian tire because you guys are racist and stealing customers money only. I will also share such racist behaviour and your stealing policy everwhere in social media so that other people get aware about this.

I need this issue to be resolve as soon as possible.

Canadian Tire rude staff

Today I went into the Canadian Tire at Bay and Dundas to buy a Stud finder. Because your stores have no way of finding a particular item I searched the store for an employee that could help me. After walking around looking for someone that wasn't already helping a customer I found a woman that was unpacking boxes. I asked where I might find the item and she told me that it was in aisle 40.
When I got to aisle 40 and after looking around for 10 minutes I found the stud finder and it was locked behind glass. The item was priced at 20.99. Now, your store has countless items must smaller and more valuable that $21 out in the open but for some reason, this particular item needed to be locked in a glass cabinet.
Back to the other end of the store to find someone that could unlock the cabinet for me. Finally, an employee I should go back and he will send someone to help me.
A full 10 minutes of waiting and no one was coming. I found yet another employee and asked them to unlock the cabinet for me. She said that I had to speak to a particular gentleman. When I finally located him, he had a crowd of customers waiting to speak to him. I waited patiently for him to finish with his customers, again another 10 to 15 minutes. When he was finally free he didn't even give me a chance to ask my question. He abruptly told me he had to go help another customer and was off.
At this point, I had been in the store about 40 minutes. I had walked the length of the store and back twice and even though I approached a total of 5 employees at your store, not one of them could help me with the simple task to get the item that I wished to purchase.

Canadian Tire hall bench

BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a tall hall bench unit and assembled over a couple of hours only to discover that a good size wood segment was missing in the bottom right side area that holds in the mirror. Unfortunately the mirror also compounds the problem because you can see the area very clearly via the reflection and that is also at eye level. This was a manufacture defect.

I visited the local Canadian Tire Store, spoke to customer service and related my concern so that possibly a reasonable discount could be taken into consideration rather than returning the item now that it was fully assembled. The manager was contacted by customer service via telephone and once he learned of the complaint I was promptly told that nothing could be done. I insisted that I wanted to see the manager and once again was told he could not come down. For the third time I insisted I see the manager personally and after the third call a manager from another department overheard the conversation and came down to see me instead.

After explaining once again my concern I was told that there was nothing they could do. I would need to load the large cabinet into my vehicle and bring it down to Canadian Tire and only then would they look at it. I suggested he came down to view it himself and he said that wasn't possible - no insurance to enter a home. I suggested a representative from the company come down and look at it and once again was flatly denied that this would not be possible. He said I would either need to dismantle, return and purchase another one.

At this point I used a scenario that if I was to purchase a large shed and assemble it and found that there was a problem with it I would need to un-assemble the building and return it to Canadian Tire in order for them to decide whether an adjustment in the purchase price was in order. His answer to me was "Yes". I would need to do that. I felt quite belittled with his response and he certainly came across that it was really of no concern to him and I should simply deal with it. I must say that my blood pressure was certainly rising quite quickly as this point.

So much for customer service at Canadian Tire. Purchasing a large item, only to find out there is no compromise when the quality control at the source of the manufacture fails, the customer is left holding the bag. A simple adjustment to the satisfaction of both parties is not too much to ask but to immediately offer no resolution and simply tell the customer "Bring it back or we'll do nothing for you" this is not an acceptable solution.

I for one will no longer be purchasing any significant item from Canadian Tire. If I don't have your back why should I be spending my hard earn money in your store when there are so many other options available.

Customer Service stands for Customer Service, I didn't receive any here - maybe local managers need to get out of there office a little more and ensure that customers that are buying your products are getting the full shopping experience and the backing of Canadian Tire brand.

PS. What did we do with the problem area on the furniture piece. My wife put a plant in front it on the shelf! Not the solution I was looking for.

Canadian Tire not answering

October 26 2018
I have been trying to contact this department for about an hour now with no answer. I just want to get a price on a part for my truck and to get a part that I bought a couple months ago replaced. this wouldn't be a negative review if this was the only time at this particular store but this has happened more times then I can count. I want to continue shopping at this store but this makes me and other people not want to buy anything from you guys.

Canadian Tire tire and mechanical

Yesterday I had new winter tires installed on my vehicle, I was charged for my spare to be changed over with one of my other tires and this was not requested, I told them I did not agree to this and they said it was on the work order and still charged me. They also were going to keep my old tires. I have never had tires changed over before and I assumed when getting winter tires they would put the summer tires inside the vehicle, all they said to me is I didn't ask to keep them, I believe it is their job to inform and ask the necessary questions they should also go through what they are doing when the vehicle is dropped off.
On another occasion I went in to have some bushings changed they told me what I needed so I ordered the parts and booked it in. And on the day they realised there was nothing wrong with the bushings. I knew there was something wrong with the vehicle as it clunked loudly on rough surfaces. They told me I would have to keep driving it till something happened. I drive on long a remote roads and was not happy with this so I immediately took it to Honda and within 30sec they diagnosed the problem, booked it in and fixed it. Canadian tire charged me for this and I was not happy to pay a fee when nothing was done and they failed to find the problem when it was a simple fix. I am seeking compensation for the spare tire being switched over and the fee they charged for the check they did on my vehicle and the unnecessary parts I purchased. I have to drive almost 2 hours to visit canadiantire so it is very inconvenient, there attitude is not good and neither is the professionalism. I would be happy with a store credit or cash refund.
I look forward too hearing from someone and getting the matter resolved asap.

Canadian Tire tire installation

Purchasing tires and having them installed was the only car service that I would consider using canadian tire for as they have overcharged and done very poor mechanical service in the past. On oct 9/2018 I ordered 4 winter tires for my sons car and was told that the tires would need to be delivered from another store in the city. This would not be a big deal as the next appointment available for the installation was oct 23/2018. I showed up on october 23 for my appointment and the tires were not there. The place was busy and the staff were all agitated and very unprofessional. The manager showed up from the back to field some complaints from unsatisfied customers. He then told me he would call me when tires would be in. Got a call 15 mins later and was told to drop off vehicle the next morning and would be put to front of line. Got a call that morning that one lug was cross threaded and would not come off. Bought 2 tires from them in june/2018 and they were the only shop to touch the tires. Was basically looked upon as a liar and told how good his staff is. Haha! Was told I would be charged for repairs.in the end they didn't charge me for the repairs just made me pay for tires and installation and reinforced to me that I was a liar. Screw you canadian tire and james you don't know how to treat a customer and you know f all about tires. Change your name to canadian clowns. I'm done with you. Kal tire i'm yours now.

Canadian Tire snowblower

I bought ‘Certified 224cc gas snowblower' two days ago. I found out "Lever" part is missing in the box when assembling. I went Canadian tire store to claim. They just sent me to a dealer. They said Canadian Tire doesn't have any responsibility with missing part. I am not even able to return it. The dealer asked me to phone manufacturer again. The manufacturer charged on missing part which they packed wrong! Now the dealer tried to help us but Canadian tire even not let me write a review in their website. Go to another retail store when buying unassembled machines. Canadian Tire does not take any responsibility for missing parts.

Canadian Tire check out terrible to the client

A lady in the cashier asked me to open my backpack to see what was inside... it was so embarecing... I not only opened it but also decided to show all the bags I had with me... I was with my husband and daughter ... we felt really bad.
She tried to explain nicely but honestly I don't believe I will ever indicate this store to anyone.
Why don't they have a camera and alarm tags so people won't be asked to open their bags...

in the airport it is ok to do that once we have to keep everyone safe... but in this store?

I rather being in a place where we can trust each other... this way I'll also think that Canadian tire is not being honest to the clients and public .

terrible feeling and not fair to the clients at all.

Canadian Tire return

I was returning a patio box I bought from the Martensville store about a month ago. The box it came in was ripped from trying to put the pieces of the patio box back in the box it came in. I was a little concerned about returing it since the box was ripped - I did not want to patio box so thought I would try returing it anyways. Jessica was the name of the employee who told me I could return it. During the process of the return a gal by the name of Judy came up behind Jessica and told her this item cannot be returned since the box was ripped. I did not say anything as Jessica was being told why this item could not be returned. Judy then turned to me and told me "this item cannot be returned - read the policy" as she pointed to the sign on the wall. I was speachless as to how rude she was to a fellow employee especially in front of a customer. I was not upset about the fact they might not process my return but that they were so rude about it. If Judy was just a little nicer about the way she handled my return I would not be writing this complaint. Judy should not be working at the customer service counter if she is going to be this rude to all customers wanting to return an item. I am not looking for any compensation or credit. A simple apology would suffice. I did tell Jessica when I left that I was sorry she got in trouble - she was good about it. A Canadian Tire in a small centre like Martensville will struggle if people realize how they will be treated shopping at this store. Really to bad.

I have another complaint that involving this same lady Judy that I never did say anything. It happened in the spring when I was buying an item at the same store. The store has one line for customer service and checkout which I did not realize. I thought the line up at the time was for customer service and than a number of people were returning items. Judy told me in a louder voice to get to the back of the line. Again, I did not think much of it. I am a customer in your store and she is being rude. Really to bad.

Canadian Tire unacceptable customer service

Date of incident: Oct 20, 2018
Name of Canadian Tire employee: Liza (Automotive Dept.)
Description of incident: I came to their store at 9:15 am to purchase 4 winter tires. There were 2 people at the counter and nobody was on the line and I was entertained quickly. I paid my tires with my Canadian Tire Credit Card with no too many questions because I reviewed already what kind of winter tire that I want thru my home computer and I know what is the price already. I just spent 4 to 5 minutes in their counter. I asked the lady at the counter where I will pick-up the tires. She said, outside in front of the garage. I was told to wait outside and somebody will load it to my car soon. I went out and wait outside. The weather outside was 10 deg C., cloudy and chilly. I was standing outside and it was already 9:45am and started to rain with hail. I was wet already and decided to take my car and pull over near the front of the garage. It was already 10:10am when I decided to ask somebody to the counter that I am still waiting outside and nobody is assisting me. There was a long line already and I asked politely to the other person to follow up my order. " He said they are only 2 people working and told me to wait. And I say, why is that? After I paid my goods you ignore me? And besides, I am already wet and will be late to my appointment on something else? Why don't you finish first my order before entertain somebody? I was ahead of the line. I believed I need to report to your boss because of your unacceptable attitude. Instead of saying sorry both of you became arrogant to your customer? "

As I am doing this letter, I feel I will catch cold because of this issue.

The only thing I need to these 2 people is to re-train them how to treat their customers, apologetic and have good manners. That's all.

I am actually working on a hospitality business so I know what is should be to protect their business and respectable, and protect their job too.

Thank you,

Canadian Tire bluetooth adaptor

I purchased a Bluetooth adaptor from Brampton East store. I asked the staff if there is any issues what are my options. They said that I return it in 14 days. The adaptor kept powering off. When I took is in, the customer service lady refused to return. She said this item is exchange only as written on the receipt. I said but the staff told me I could. She said nope you can only exchange. But they did NOT have another unit in stock. So she said that I have to drive to another store and try to exchange it there. I said what if I don't have a car. She said that not her problem.
What a bad customer service.

Canadian Tire tire purchase and installation

I purchased 2 sets of tires for both mine and my husband's vehicles online. Was told when they come in I would get notified (which I was) as I was also told that generally it's pretty slow that when they come in tire installations are first come first serve.
I came in after receiving email and phone call to have the tires installed expecting the 88+tax installation fee per vehicle (warranty was offered and purchased on site) then was told I owed over $700 to complete this (tires were paid for online).
Took 2 staff and a manager over 25 mins and lots of frustrations as I was being charged the extra for my tires (the difference from what I paid for the tires I purchased on sale and environmental fee which was suppose to be included on my online purchase) on top of Installation taxes warranty. Now as I sit for over an hour and a half and watch only a couple cars go in I still wait. I was told approx 1 hour no more as there was only 1 tech on site . Was told are vehicles would be next. Well wouldn't you know the tech leaves and is gone for over half hour only to come back and pull a totally different vehicle in, in front of ours. Now I feel like this is being done on purpose. I am 7 months pregnant and am sitting with my husband and 3 yr old autistic son waiting and waiting only to be brushes off.
This is totally unacceptable customer service. How do you guys not take appts? I am sitting here starving waiting to eat with my family and not 1 of your staff gives 2 cares. If I was aware of the terrible customer service I would have simply taken my vehicle somewhere else like Costco where they treat customers fairly and take appts.
After making yet another complaint and notifying them if my vehicles didn't start making it into bay within 10 mins we would be returning the tires and going elsewhere for service, only then did my vehicle move. Yet again totally rediculous. Am so unimpressed with this service that it warrants a terrible review on social media and anywhere else word can be spread. I feel like the attitude to boot from employees at this location is to be corrected if you want people to return to this store for future shopping trips as they truly do stink! So fed up!

Canadian Tire auto service

I recently took my vehicle into one of your shops in Saskatchewan. They then checked over my vehicle and called me and told me about the work I needed done. They did not have the part in stock, so I offered to bring it in a week later. So I bring it in a week later and the work had a 4 hour labor to do the work, so I phoned just shortly after 12pm and before I could say anything, the person on the other side of the phone says "Did Ray phone you about your radiator leaking?" I was like "Pardon Me" I told them, excuse me but my vehicle wasn't leaking when I took it in to you, I know because I checked, I had parked overnight at a friends place and there was no drop of anything, I took pictures. So I then asked if it was ready, they told me Yes, it will be ready in half hour.
So I was happy to go pick it up, I paid for the work, they handed me my keys and I jump into my truck and right away I notice a noise coming from the front of the vehicle, like it was skipping, or something wasn't quite right. So I drove to my friends place picked her up and drove to the strip malls. As I came out I looked at my vehicle and noticed my wheels were leaning inward at the top, I scratched my head and remembered that the work I payed for said it came with a wheel alignment. Poses as I was I drove it back to the shop, and told them that my trucks worse than when I brought it in. So they took it in ( the following morning) and I waited around this time and noticed a different mechanic was working on tightening loose parts in the front of the vehicle and had these hub things connected to my tires, I assume he was aligning my tires. Anyways, So I get the keys back and head out, I notice my steering wheel is straight ( as it was more to the right, after I left it with them the first time) The part they changed was the rack and pinion. So I'm driving out to the highway as I'm leaving th City and the truck starts shaking, in disbelief and very discouraged I pull over and notice my front tires are destroyed on the inner side. I remember them telling me after I took it in the second they me " Oh your gonna need new tires " I was so dissatisfied with there service, I just want Ed to get out of there, while I still had my dignity. So I turned around headed back in to town and stopped at a tire shop and they changed one of the tires for me at my exspensive. At first so wasn't gonna bother saying anything but, I don't want this happening to the next person. All this after paying just under $1200 for installation of a rack n pinion.

I thank you as you look into this, as for me I have to find extra cash for my 2 front tires.

My name is Claude

Canadian Tire tire installation

At your Woodstock, NB store, near the end of August, I bought a set of General Evertrek tires and had them installed. A short while later I noticed a faint "ticking" sound that would come and go. Over the next 5-6 weeks it became more and more audible and I suspected a front wheel axle shaft. Took it to a mechanic who proceeded to show me he could unscrew the lug nuts by hand for 1 wheel. He said I was probably days away from having the tire fall off with potentially fatal results. He was aware that CT garage staff often torque the nuts with the vehicle on the hoist, when it should be done with the wheels on the ground. Obviously I am not happy with this and often have my grandchildren with me. I suggest you tune up your service manager at this location before somebody gets killed and you get sued.
