The Canadian Pharmacy Spam

I have been receiving mail that was supposedly sent from my web address to others in my address book. Some of the addresses are so old that they are no longer viable and the mail is returned to me. The majority of the messages are requesting that the receiving party look at a web site that I have recommended.
This has been occurring for the past two months. Can you help me?

The Canadian Pharmacy Russian Mafia- steal and sell credit card info

Canadian Neighbor Pharmacy -NO PRESCRIPTION
www.thetorerx.net is a Russian Mafia scam

You do not have to worry about the medicine being fake, because they are not going to send it to you!

They are nothing more than a website. They just want your credit card info.

The plan on stealing your money and that you will be too embarrassed to fight back or report it.

They will sell your credit card info to other crooks.

If you look at the Domain Whois record you see for yourself. (The own lots of domains)

Put the address in the internet archives Wayback Machine ( Google it) They takes snapshots every few months of any site that has been on the net for over a year. If a company is not on t it is because they explicitly blocked their content (legit companies could care less) or they are less than year old.

The Canadian Pharmacy Medication Ordered

Ordered a prescription for my son from this website; one he must take, $174.85 never received confirmation, tracking or anything except monies taken out of my account on Dec. 15, 2010. Any suggestions of what to do next?

Finally got my order as well; it too came from India and an off brand name; don't know about it; will follow up with my Dr. I paid for one thing and got another and never found a number to call them. Never got a reply from any emails either.

Ordered from them several times. The medication is all from India. Was suspicious and still am. Yet, with pain medication presc. order, they will not accept Visa or other credit cards - which the credit card company restricts. Only an e-check (my local bank's checking account) would be accepted. So far no funny business with my account
my bank has a security restriction on non-US business and I would be contacted. My orders do take the 10 - 14 days for delivery, BUT I DO get the ordered items, Let's face it - India is not part of Big Pharma, We ARE ordering to get around doctors and other situations. Where there is a need, there is one who steps in. The lack of not stating up front that their medications are NOT US Pharmaceuticals is not right. But it is our choice to not order

I ordered something from them in November, and never got. I called Dec 15th and they said it was on it's way. and sure enough I got it a few days later, it came from India. Which makes me think maybe it's not the full dose. I've read many stories about medications made in other countries with 1/4 or 1/8 of the medicine in them.

The Canadian Pharmacy Advertising Emails being sent from my daughter email address

Advertising emails are being sent to people using my daughters email address. She is only 14 and was at school during the time that I received this email. I know that this has to be illegal. I didnt think it was possible to send emails from someone elses email address. If I continue to receive these emails I WILL take further actions...This is really desperate!

I have read a lot of negative remarks about this company, but I had ordered my medication through them and received them just fine. They seem to be the real medication as one makes me tired like it should and the others control my diabetes, which they should. I received the meds about a week after I ordered them with no problem

The Canadian Pharmacy Not a complaint; tips and start a thread ?

Word or warning, I do ramble. I'm also a noob here on Complaints Board. So.. In I Come With a Bang.

I've been dealing with spammers for years. I know I playing "Don Quixote" and tilting at windmills now, but I still do it for fun. (spammers forced me to learn "net things" like WHOIS, DNS, traceroute, IP tracking and routing, SWIPed IPs, and lots more).
I'm a member of CAUCE (use your G00gleFu )and other organizations. I've even helped draft laws and regulations in WA..., and I've had many retaliations from spammers, :ie mailbombs forged subscribes pingfloods...
Some of the virttual "trophy heads on the wall" (always shared) are Spamford Wallace, Mike Kieger, "AlRal" Ralsky, and about 400 more (not counting "419" email addresses by the thousands)
So much for my creds and brags...
Most spam is scams. (and spam itself is 95+% of all email now)

Most (at least from what I see on my 10+ email accounts and the 5+ accounts I manage for family and friends) are "419s"/Nigerian scams/Dying Widow Will/"You Have Won"/"Need Agent In Your Country" and all those "advanced fee frauds" mainly).

Next in line are the Canadian Pharmacy/PenisPillz/Cheap Software type (Bing/Goog/etc search "PARTNERKA"", this and the "Russian spam Gangs" are the main source of these. Fake pills, no merchandise, ID theft, bank fraud, phishing .. real bad crap!

Then comes the "Make Money At Home"/"Instant Money Off Internet Marketing"/"Affiliate" spam. There are a few of these that are real businesses but even those have to bend laws or good business practices. Most of those are pyramid scams. Two good tip-offs": the word "Affiliate" and the "3 foot Website" (scroll down 'forever' or until your scrolling finger gets numb). The "Affiliate" is either a victim or a willing participant in the scam/top levels of the pyramid.
Many of them even give you details on *how to spam*

Next in line is spam for some business that fell for a spammet's tricks: either they paid for having it done and spammy provided "a list of prole who have "opted-in" to receive "targeted" (false!) emails, or sold them athe same list and some "ratware" to do the spamming themselves. it's a n00bie problem. They had no idea what they got themselves into.. see "Aurora Nissan" (http://preview.tinyurl.com/Aurora-Nissan-spam) PS.. I was packing a sign there.

Last comes what's called "Mainsleaze" spam, a reasonably-known company like Kraft's "Gevailia" division (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gevalia) that wantonly and knowing spams.

spam isn't "email I don't want". That's part of it, but the best short description is "Consent". If you gave your consent, it ain't spam. However, if they sold/gave your email address away to some other entity who then sends you email.

Also, the spam concept isn't just email.
"Street Spam" (those who shove signstakes in all over the place, "handbills" and signs on utility poles, buildings, et al.
"Comment/Blog/Forum spam" ( ads posted in places like this one)
"Spim" (done via texting, instant messaging, chat, or digital pager bombing: this is actually what it's called )
(and more)

What this long (and rambling) post is for:

1) passing on spam tips
2) exposing scammers' URLs (web addresses)
3) documenting the "Mainsleaze" companies so that you can (if desired) boycott them (and preferably why)
4) scams in general that you find on the Internet.
5) how to tune up your '### detector" for scams.

It would be nice if CB's honchos would would create some new topic(s) on this line.

I'll even throw you a couple of my valid (and valid) email addresses.
usenetharvested (at) aol (dot) com.ode Remove and replace as needed to make it valid.(this is called "mungeing")
[protected]@yahoo.com (plain and real, I can deal with spam resulting from email harvesting )

H A N D.
I'll S T F U now...

The Canadian Pharmacy fraud

I have been receiving calls to my home phone number with people asking if this is Canadian Pharmacy. If you have received a number or saw a number anywhere that begins with 302 area code, it is not the Canadian Pharmacy. I have also been duped by these people and had to close my credit card immediately against future charges. I have tried to contract them several times via their "secure email" without success.

I have been reading the comments about Canadian Neighbor Pharmacy with interest.I live in England & my wife has Altzheimers Disease and we are unable to get the correct medication prescribed by her doctor. So in desperatyion I went online found Canadian Neighbor Pharmacy and ordered 90x5mg Aricept/Donepezil tablets at a cost of $88US inc delivery.
I then read on another site that CNP was a scam site, I checkedmy bank statement and Lo and behold my cash had been paid out via a London based site and thinking that I had learned a rather expensive lesson I wrote off the money, As a precaution I cancelled the debit card I had used and informed my bank they should refuse any further debits from this company.
Now that was about 10 days ago, so imagine my surprise when an airmail packet sent from this named address Supreme Supplies Gagar Avenue Mumbai was delivered to me with the medication enclosed.
The tabs according to the packaging are manufactured by a drug manufacturer Cipla Ltd of Daman India.
If you Google this company it seems legit, it has been in existence since the 1930's and has excellent financial results.
I have emailed them to see if thay can shed any light on this state of affairs, but my position is I do have the drugs I originally ordered so as of this moment I am satisfied.
However I have strong doubts that CNP are truly legitimate and would certainly not order anything from tham again, I would probably not be so lucky the next time. Peter Lineton Telford England

The Canadian Pharmacy Fake Site; Hacks into Private Email Accounts

For several weeks, this site has hacked into my Yahoo email account and sent their website link to contacts in my email "address/contact" list. It has also used my name and Yahoo email address to send emails advertising this fake pharmacy to people I've never heard of.

There is no phone number on the website or way to contact them without supplying a credit card number.

I only know about this scam occurring when friends tell me they have been contacted, or when I receive a "failure notice" as to the recipients I don't know.

The Canadian Pharmacy SCAM Never received order

This website is a scam and has charged my Visa card for $85.35. I never received confirmation of the order and never received the order either. After reading online, I realize I have been the victim of a scam. I have notified my credit card company, but don't know if I'll recover the money or not.

I eventually received something in the mail, but the medication is fake. No matter how many times I've used their "support email" about returning these items, NO RESPONSE! The package came from India with NO identifying lables showing Canadian Neighbor Pharmacy. I also had to close my credit card to prevent charges from them.

I have ordered from these people a couple of times and actually paid a little to have the medicines tracked and confirmed through the USPS.com. They have both times sent them and I have tracked them. One time their link did not work and I thought it was a scam but seems for what ever reason the website wasn't working making it look like that. They are legit and medicines seem to work correctly. So hopefully this helps for what it is worth. It does take a bit longer to come from overseas. Haven't had a problem yet, anyway.

Update: Wouldn't you know it. Medicine delivered by USPS just after making my last post. Packed well and sent from Supreme Suppliers, Mumbai India (shipment fulfillment for online pharmacies). Bubble packs from cipla. Look authentic and Supreme Suppliers seems to check out. Still glad I canceled the card. My luck, I would be on vacation or something and someone from Azerbaijan would charge up the account.

Me too. Usually I am very careful and having a tech background this is extremely embarrassing. Like Lloyd my decision was emotional. I'm have Type 1 diabetes with insulin resistance. Doctors here are reluctant to add metformin for type 1's as I have read about in other places so I bit without checking the site out. The charge was from Baku, Azerbaijan. It has been 21 days no medicine and no other activity from them on my card but after reading the previous posts I have canceled the card. It's sad because I have legitimately purchased meds from Canada in the past to help lower costs.

I did the same as yllom316. I usually check this type of thing throughly, but I was having a rather bad day and my decision was purely emotional. It was too late to cancel since the order was done immediately. I don't care about the money so much as I shouldn't have much such a rash decision.

Sadly I did not check either and obviously have " done my money ". I canceled my card and have got a new one to make sure they do not charge anything more...my bank said the money was paid to an account in England...certainly get about this lot...will make sure I never fall for a scam like this again...

I ordered from this website Canadian Neighbor Pharmacy without checking first. Which is something I usually always do. Not sure why I didn't this time. After no confirmation email and no repsonse from anyone after 4 emails, I called my bank. They were able to get a phone number off my bank statement. That number is [protected]. It is a voicemail and nothing more. Asking you to leave your name, phone number and your order number (which they never give you) and someone will get back to you. Which of course I won't hold my breath on that. I have called my bank and am lucky they are going to give me my money back. I just should have looked into them first.

Sadly I am another of Canadian Neighbor Pharmacy. They immediately charged my account $74 when I placed the order and gaveme personal support web page - with a link that is not accessible. Over 3 weeks later I have received nothing but a bunch of emails (in response to my complaints) telling me I have a new message on my support page.
I am going to try to recover my costs but am not optimistic. Disgusted!

The Canadian Pharmacy - Email hacking / spam

For months, Canadian Neighbor Pharmacy spammed my email box with dozens of spams each week; reported to US FCC which stopped them for a while. Now they are back with a vengeance. Two days ago, they hacked into my email account and sent their website link to people in my email account address books – despite a firewall, virus protector and spam guard. Had a...

All of that crap is automatically forwarded to my 'JUNK' file. 2-3 times a week, I'll go in & BLOCK whatever's in there at the time. Yeah, they just send another VIAGRA / CIALIS e-mail the next day again...from a 'new' address. I heard a consumer reporter a couple of years ago say that...whenever you receive that unsolicited bulls#@t...( from WHOEVER...) just BLOCK it. If you try to 'unsubscribe'...THAT can actually make things WORSE. Now you've just confirmed that YOUR e-mail address is valid, and the junk e-mails are more likely to increase.

also - this place

yes it does go past simple spam filters

there is little thing called viruses and that is how the scammers hijack computers and make bot nets

so yes there really is millions of computers sending spam and since you obviously do not ever think of things like bot nets and viruses i highly suspect your computer is one of the nodes in a massive bot net

GET A GOOD ANTI VIRUS AND OTHER SECURITY AND LEAVE US ALONE

hey this place -

i think you need to know how spammers actually work

yes there is millions of senders as in computers to process all those thousands of domains and new ones created hourly not to mention all those spoofed domains to look like a real sender

yes it does take millions of computers as part of what is called a bot net or else 1 computer could not possibly send all those millions of scams from all those millions of domains every day

i think you need a lesson how scammers actually work and hijack computers of banks and people at home to serve their scam net

for sending a cease to a company - THERE IS NO COMPANY
the so called company is nothing more than a scammer sitting at a computer controlling millions of computers all over the world in their bot net to send these - the so called company is nothing more than basically a face to trick people to give over personal and bank info for them to run other scams and clean your bank account while they get new 60 inch plasmas and expensive cars and yachts all from taking control of your checking accounts and credit cards

and people need a lesson in how black listing works - you put a domain or ip address on a list to block and that is the reason they create millions of domains and spoof millions of domains and infect computers all over the world - the processing power to send all those scams every hour and the millions of ip addresses and millions of domains so a large percent actually get to you when you see your bank pushing viagra

learn before you try to tell others what to do and try to tell them they are wrong - you obviously need to learn how the real world works

do you actually know how many thousands of addresses used to send these scams - i already blocked over 1000 different senders for this same thing

each scam gets sent over and over and over by thousands of new senders and new senders created hourly to get past black lists and people blocking

not very realistic

Fifteen emails a day from them, I have never asked them to email me, I would never ever ever buy from a company
that does not put a phone number or address on their website, I do not want their products, I do not want their emails.

I have unsubscribed so many times I am fed up with it. I have reported them to Google for their continued harrassment, and
I have gone on the bottom of their own webpage and given details of the spam emails from them.

I have also logged into their 'technical problems' page to try to get them to stop emailing me, and still they continue
Anyone with advice on how to stop them, I would be very grateful

I ordered a topical cream from this site. I called them to make sure they have it. They said YES. But they didn't send me the product I ordered, instead they sent me a similar product manufactured in India. In just one use of the product from India, I got allegic reactions... I will never order from this site again!

Oh, by the way, they somehow stole my yahoo e-mail account and sends junk e-mail to all of my contacts. I don't remember how many times I appologized to my friends on that.

DO NOT BUY from this site!

The Canadian Pharmacy Endless unsolicited emails

Past 10 days suddenly Canadian Pharmacy has been sending unsolcited emails to 3 different email addresses that reach me. All emails shown in the 'sender line' as VIAGRA preventing me from identifying as spam or blacklisting it since it could mean blacklisting my own email address!

The email shows viagra and other medication stuffs. The report spam, contact us, live chat etc all go to same basic contact form. I have submitted requests to be removed from the list (listing each of my 3 email addresses separately) to no avail. They continue to send unsolicited junk at least once a day, usually twice a day.

How do I put a stop to this?

They did to me too, at least 20 emails listed in the subject line as all sort of various headings. I went to their website and email the complaint many times, but they are very smart, they are are fully aware of their spamming activities, they won't allow any message to go through to their website if it isn't to do with buying their products. How i know this, countless times i tried but kept on getting error messages after i clicked on the send icon. PLEASE KNOW THEY ARE WELL AWARE OF ALL THEIR GABBAGE EMAILS, SHONKY BUSINESS PRACTICES - I AM SURE THE PEOPLE BEHIND THIS OPERATION are fraud and the authories should shut down their website immediately, whereever they are hosted. I don't know who can do this to date, if anyone knows please tell me.

Never, & I mean NEVER, answer a SPAM email. When you do, they know they have a legitimate email address. They call is Phishing for a reason. They're fishing for legitimate email adresses. When you sent your 3 email addresses it verified they were legitimate and that's the reason for the on slaught of emails. Never opt out of receiving Junk mail.

The Canadian Pharmacy Fake Drugs

I finally received my order of 20 pills of what was supposed to be Cialis or as the back of the bubblepack reads 20 mg Tadalafil, THEY DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ! I have used cialis before and these are fake, no results. I plan to revoke my $67 Visa Card payment, if I can. I think they wait to send an order when the time limit for contesting the charge on your card is too late. My order was placed 5/20/09 and I recieved the shipment 6/1/09 which I learned was from India, which would make it a pretty good turnaroud time but probably only because I called the number that showed up on my bank account statement after two day, since they took the money out the day after I placed the order and I didn't receive an email confirmation from the company. The lady I talked to was definately from India and was very nice.

Here is what I received in my email this morning (6/10/09) and my response after a few days ago I stopped payment from my Visa Card.

Dear Albert Murray,

Recently you placed an order with us for:
1 pack of Viagra + Cialis - $68.72
Delivery - $6.95Total: $75.67

We have received the chargeback/dispute from you and unfortunately we are not aware of the reason.

As you haven't contacted our support department to solve this problem your chargeback/dispute now is treated as Fraudulent.
All details, including original order form, username, IP addresses and access logs bearing members IP addresses and/or e-mail
addresses and username will be forwarded to the issuing Credit Card Company (Fraud Division), FBI (Credit Card Fraud Division)
and all Credit Reference Agencies which will probably result in a query into members credit card payment habits.
Credit Card Fraud is a serious crime and will not be tolerated.

Yours sincerely,
Billing Depatment

RESPONSE: (they didn't even get the name or amount right on email)

Yes, selling fake drugs from another country is a serious crime. I am in the process of contacting the FBI and any other agency that might be involved to stop this from happening. I am turning the pills I was sent over for chemical analisis and you will be hearing from me concerning the threatening email you have just sent me!

I got a prescription from my doctor for what I needed and was told by the Walmart Pharmacist that is was $16.50 a pill and I told him I could not afford that, so I went online and via Canadian Pharmacy was told that it was less than $3 a pill, so I ordered, I was RIPPED OFF!

The good news is that this scammer has extreme hatered against receiving spams. It's rather irony, isn't it? So forward all the spams to the following email addresses. Send them using different email addresses as many as possible, so that he won't be able to block your email addresses. He has the tendency that if you send a lot of spams to him, he will remove you from his spam databases. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN REMOVE FROM HIS SPAMBASE! You can also automate your email system to redirect to him. Then congratulations!

Ask the pharmacist if they carry a "generic" variety of the drug. Most of these types of medication have generic versions which cost about half the price. Cialis (according to data from the doctor's drug reference book) has effects that are supposed to last up to 36 hours, which means you don't need all that many of them (2 a week maybe?) in a month. $16.50 a pill is a pretty hefty price, but I have no idea what the normal pharmaceutical cost for that is. Anyway, I'd recommend checking at different pharmacies and asking if there is a less expensive alternative - just ask your doctor if there is one that is less expensive.

I'd be leary of any on-line pharmacy offering huge discounts - they probably are not safe, and as you unfortunately discovered, they are often nothing more than placebos.

One thing to keep in mind...medications such as this (along with many others) cannot be sold in Canada without a doctor's prescription. Pharmacy products are highly regulated. Even if they are going outside the country. There are also differences in the FDA regulations between Canada and the US, so it's not a good idea to buy outside your own country when it comes to medication. You have no idea what the regulations are somewhere else (unless you check) and you may purchase a product, and the product might be sent, but it might not make it through customs. In that case, you are out your money again.

If you have to buy anything considered a prescription medication, you need to find an honest on-line pharmacy that is based in the US, not outside your country. The simplest thing to do is see a doctor and get a proper prescription.

Wish I could suggest one, but I don't buy medication online - it's way better to deal with a pharmacy I trust than an online shop that likely isn't even a true "pharmacy".

Someone should look into "Canadian Pharmacy" unsolicited messages. If they are a serious business they should care. There seems to be malicious use of fake messages that no matter how you try to find out who sent them or stop them, always return you to "Canadian Pharmacy" with no working choices as to getting off their list.

After googling the [protected] number & discovering this was a scam, I called VISA & had the charges reversed.
I am now being threatened by these scammers. Ooooh scaryyyyyyy!
I received this email in my inbox today. I am also cancelling the credit card. I was also informed by my credit card provider that the charges were going to be repeated each month.
When you get the confirmation email, their English is mediocre & their tracking website doesn't exist.

You will get far less spams!

I ordered from Canadian Pharmacy last Tuesday (5/19/09) and hadn't received a confirmation email. The money was taken out of my checking electronically Wednesday (5/20/09). I called the number listed on my withdrawal nothice on Friday (5/22/09). The very nice lady, who was obviously by accent, from India told me that two confirmations had been sent to my email, but she would send another while I was on the phone with her. I then found out that my junk filter had diverted the first two notices to the trash bin in my email. Today, Tuesday (5/26/09) I received in my email a tracking number which was ligit, along with a link to the US Postal service which was ligit tellin g me my shipment had been sent from India today.

I keeping my fingers crossed!

The Canadian Pharmacy arip MT 5 mg.

I recieved sugar pills in place of my medication, I have been a nurse for over 30 years and am familiar with placebos. I paid $116 + shipping and handling for 100 5mg tabs of Arip MT 5mg. and recieved tablets that were sugar. I have tasted these before and they are unmistakeable.
