magazines that are not canadian but from american san francisco
A few months ago I agreed to purchase Canada [protected]@ 44.04 with 4 equal payments .I was to sign and send back document and also for a woman free diamond watch, with the understanding I could cancel any time .I sent back the document unsigned with cancel .I did not receive the watch but I keep getting the Magazines and returning them to sender l could not cancel the magazine the watch was acknowledge I cancel my credit card to stop payment . Now they are harassing me steady on my land line and cell several times a week 122.50 owing balance of$562.50 .I would like this Cancel asap why can I not do it .Farther action ill be taken up with the Better Business of Canada if this harassment do not stop .

I signed up for the magazines and have tried for several days to call and cancel but you are always closed. I was told I could change my magazines and that one of the magazines you had was Hello it is not on your list so please cancel. I do not wish to have these magazines. I do not really want to pursue fraud complaint or involve BBB .

cancellation of subscription of magazines from magazines publishers service in canada
On April 23rd at 1300 hours mountain time I called the above company to cancel my supscription as I realise that I have a lot since I am now studying . I had not made any selection of any magazine from the list which was forwarded to me by them..
The response from the company's customer care agent was negative. I was told I could not cancel any longer . The Magazine Publisher Service will send monthly billing even if I do not receive any magazines.
I am wondering what I would be paying for.
I would ask your office to kindly rectify the situation amicably.

Got a call Aug 28 said they where PCH Publisher Clearing House so I agreed to a subscription of Readers Digest so I said ok and another magazine.to date received 3 readers digest, Big Game, (1) our Canada (2) Esquire (1) I have a bill for Aug 59. Sept 20 61$ October 61$ Nov 20 61$ dec 61$ I called customer service and they said basically to bad, and said I still owe around 600$ still.i want this cancelled and I want most of my 300$ that I have already paid put back on my visa account back. I am a Senior and I live in a Seniors Accommadation. Don't subscribe to this magazine provider. My fiancé subscribed and now they won't cancel the subscription even though we weren't home when it came in the mail so we missed the 14 days. They will not cancel for you which is poor. Don't waste your time and money with this guys because they are useless. They forced him into it on the phone through pressure to receive a stupid watch. The watch is so ugly and the magazines are useless.

I received my order and confirmation agreement late in the mail and wanted to cancel the order but when I phoned I was informed that I could no longer cancel. The customer service was very disappointing and not helpful at all. I do not care about a refund on what I have already paid I just no longer want the magazine order. I have never complained about a service and am very sorry to be doing so now

Was told I had a choice of over 80 magazines to choose from and was told I will get a list of all titles. Five months later and after fighting and asking numerous times for a list, they sent me out a list containing 8 titles. I have not received a bill in that time as well. I told them I will not pay the bill because I have not received the service they told me I will get. They told me they will send out another updated list. One month later after several threatening calls from them, I got the same list with 8 titles. Not paying for service I am not getting.
don't subscribe – scam and waste of money
I got the phone call from the company www.canadamags.com. The rep offered to subscribe for the magazines and at that moment I searched for the subscription. I paid for 3 months subscription, but I haven’t received any magazines from them. I called to this company and asked them that I wanted to unsubscribe, but the rep started to yell at me and promised to charge me more for the cancellation. I cancelled my card, but I wanted to warn other people about it.
According to the law I have 10 days to cancel the contract. Please be advised I am exercising that option.

I, too, got ripped off by this company. And, when I got Capitol One involved, the company gave us a complete run around and lied again. I have never received anything from this company but some magazines I never wanted and two bills. Thankfully, we spoke with Capitol One who where just super in their service and support. They cancelled the ability of this company to charge my card. These people are thieves. I have no intention of paying anything to them ever again and every magazine they send will be tossed in the garbage. I can look up anything I want or need on the internet. Magazines are so passe

We too were sent a bill from this organization! They continue to harrass us with threating phone calls. We reported them to the police and the police called the company and warned then not to call our number anymore.This has gone on for two months now.
I am totally ashamed that "Canada" forms any part of this total rip-off, scam or whatever other negative adjective you want to use to describe this awful company! They are full of promises and provide the highest customer service until they get your commitment and credit card information but then watch out! They make all kinds of promises that they never fulfill for example they promised me that I could subscribe to digital magazines but that never came to be! l hope everyone out there becomes aware of how greedy and uncaring this company actually is and will not fall for their line that they are here to help you every step of the way empty promises. Also, don't be shocked when you get your credit card bill and it is almost double the amount because of the U.S. conversion. Like I said in the beginning I am totally ashamed that Canada is in their name! I will be posting this everywhere I can to get the word out on this company along with the Better Business Bureau - this company should be shut down for their unscrupulous dealings!
I got ripped off by canadamags.com and I deserved it. I went onto website without contact phone number. Ordered shoes and ended up getting a sponge from China. Hopefully this site will be shut down, though others will spring up. Better to go with US businesses- at least have a chance to get money back.
my wife and I also got ripped off by this company but at first the call came from the states a company called American publishers magazine service when we wanted to cancel they got rude with my wife we explain the stroke she had they called a lire and again got rude we then cancelled our card and ask for a detailed invoice we received two more phone calls I informed them I was calling better business bureau the calls stopped then we got a so called invoice from canadaMags .com from p o box 187 montreal quebec the envelope had us zip code no 59401 and us postage paid THESE TWO COMPANYS ARE LINKED TOGETHER AND ARE SHOWN UNDER SCAMPS so beware
