Camping World poor quality camper and lack of service

I purchased a new Forest river Rockwood Minilite on 9-9-17 1st trip LC I tongue jack failed to work, furnace quit, brake light cover falls off, steps fall down during driving, handle fell off of refrigerator. I called for an appt. in early spring and was told it would be over a month to get an appt. I wanted to use my camper so I bought a Barker Jack (works good so far). In July2018 water tank bracket bent and tank sagged about 4inches. I called for a service appt. on July 28 18 was told the earliest I could get an appt. was Sept.11 18.I dropped camper at Camping World Fairfield Cincinnati OH. It is now 10 22 18 I have spoken to suzette Spicer in service approx. 2 weeks ago she said all was finished except receiving the jack. Spoke with Whittney in service several days later and asked if I could pick up the camper and have them ship me the jack said she had to talk to supervisor and would call me with an answer. She never called back. I called her again after a few days, I was on hold for32 min. and was disconnected. I called back and asked for manager, spoke to Gary (service mgr. ) asked him the same question. He said he would call me back. He did not call back. I have left several messages for Gary and Whittney no return calls. I called and spoke to Antonio store mgr. He said he would call me back in ten minutes it has been over 2 hours no call back. This company is nice as can be when selling. As indifferent as can be after that.

Camping World sales

My husband and I purchased a toyhauler at Camping World in Woodstock on September 29, 2018. We talked about purchasing an additional warranty. I am 70 years old and the financial person was not forthcoming about the costs of the extended warranty. He also did not show us our payment with or without the warranty. He did not explain that we could purchase parts of the warranty or the warranty in its entirety.

He hurried through the process and after signing the paperwork he grabbed it up and said he would add the warranty and gave us a chip because they are trying to cut back on paperwork. Of course, we lost the chip. We asked if the camper could stay on their lot another week and they agreed.

In the meantime I get the information from the bank regarding our "balance" and the warranty. The warranty was $10, 210.80 for 4 years and when I asked the financial person about after 4 years would the monthly payment go down he said no. So we would have paid another $60 per month for the next 11 years.

Anyway we picked the camper up on October 8th and at that time told the financial person I wanted to cancel everything that had to do with the warranty. Well now I am looking at the paperwork and he had us sign only two sheets of paper which was not all the warranty. I am have an extremely difficult time getting them to communicate with me regarding this information and to straighten this mess up.

I also found out it takes 8- 10 weeks for the corporate office to send a check to the bank and when I questioned on whether they were paying the interest on that $10, 210.80 of course the answer was no because it wasn't "their fault" that we cancelled. It was their fault because I have the paperwork that we were shown which does not indicate the total amount of the warranty. For $10, 210 more we could have bought a new camper.

I am going to email the manager of the financial department today. I want a copy of the total amount that will be credited to our account with the bank and I want them to pay the interest and/or pay the bank as soon as possible.

These folks should be cited about how they are "selling" the warranty and I highly recommend that no one every buy from Camping World whether it is in Woodstock or someone where else.

Camping World sold my unit via consignment

I bought a unit at Camping World of Asheville in Dec 2014. I sold it at the same dealership via their consignment program. The deal closed on or around Aug 21, 2018. At that time, I wrote a check for nearly $8k to Camping World for the unpaid balance on my loan. The check was cashed on Sep 20, 2018. Today is Oct 12th, and Camping World has yet to pay the loan off at my bank. I've called Camping World of Asheville numerous times. The sales manager says "It's all been sent to corporate." I called Corporate HQ, left my info, and never got a returned call.

I only give this a one-star rating because zero stars is not an option.

Camping World customer service

Worst experience ever!

I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service from the camping world in Avondale AZ. The customer service experience is the worst I've received from any service based company.
First, the service writer CJ was rude to my wife when she was dropping off the trailer, he was rushing her through the repair list, mind you these are the repairs that didn't get 100% complete. My wife needed help unhooking the trailer and he had a poor attitude about and stated that it wasn't his responsibility to unhook. Which is fine but being that I work in customer service there are ways of communicating with customers no matter the message. Then half way through the list we are told moldings are completed only 90 days from purchase but yet when they were selling us the trailer they told us bumper to bumper repairs are covered through the 1 yr warranty. Then we were told that we can only request 8 repairs at a time.
Secondly, when I returned to pick up my trailer I noticed that the repairs I had listed either got done very poorly (almost as if they felt it wasn't worth their time) and some items weren't even repaired. Mind you I had to wait several weeks for these repairs to be approved since they are under warranty then once approved they don't get done? How does a company operate this way? Is there any type of QC check or follow up?
Lastly, to top this bad experience off I sent an email to the service Writer CJ requesting resolution on these lack of repairs and to speak with the service manager but I didn't get a response until almost a week later but still not resolution or service manager response. They certainly don't have a sense of urgency for customer service.
I came to Camping World because they are large, famous, and a reputable dealership for RVs, and I thought I was making the right choice in buying from them but this terrible experience proved to be otherwise.

I would ask that this message be delivered to the President of the company or the highest executive possible. They need to know what I experienced because I know I am not the only customer experiencing this type of service.

I took my 2018 Jayco out right after I got it and after we had a bumper to bumper check, we found that the water heater or the refrigerator would work. After several calls I was told to take the unit back to Golden CO.
On Monday I took the unit back and forced them to work on it why I was their. After several hours of waiting and replacement of several parts it was found that when they filled the propane tank, they filled it to 100% rather than the 80% and it would not let any propane devices work.
So at that time they opened the bleeder on the tank to lower the propane level. So while this was happing the unit next to mine was getting a new awning and they let the awning loose and it hit the side of my brand new camper.

While I was there gave them a list of things wrong with the coach, and was told that they would order the parts.
I contacted them on Aug 30, 2018 and was told the parts were waiting on me to check on them.

I took them the coach on Sept 4, 2018 to have the work done that was supposed to take 2 weeks to do.
I talked to them and was told that they were waiting on parts.

The weather in Colorado can change quickly so I told them to winterize the coach.
When I spoke to them last week they told me they were going to have to replace parts that broke due to them letting it freeze.
As of today Oct 30, 2018 they are still waiting on parts.

WTF.

Camping World warranty/24 hr roadside service

Bought a 2004 class A rv from Camping World in Greenwood In in spring of 2017 and paid good money for all the warranties and 24hr roadside service, 5 months later went on a trip out west (1800 miles from home) and my inverter/converter went out, after several phonecalls and driving to a Camping World store in South Dakota, i was told it would have to be tested and there was nothing they could do for me. Had to buy a battery charger and "rig" it up myself to make it back home. Stopped in Nebraska to eat and came back out to find my a/c compressor and clutch had locked up and starter had went out. I called my "24 hr" roadside assistance at 9pm and was told nobody was available and to call back at 7am, called back then and was told nobody was available again, called Camping World and talked to manager and explained everything and was told "there was nothing they could do to help me", luckily a local ford dealership came and helped me out (at my expense). When i finally got back home and made the trip to Camping World to cancel ALL my warranties and roadside service I was told i should be refunded most of my money, a year later and have only seen less than half! I've tried several times to contact Camping World management and never hear back and have also tried Good Sam only to be told they have to submit a ticket and i should hear back from them within 48hrs, its been a year and still nothing! Very Poor service and will never recommend Camping World for anything!

Camping World poor care of motorhome with in wilsonville camping world for repairs

Took coach in for furnace repair on thursday and parts had to be ordered would take a couple days. There was plenty of propane and the fridge was on. CW didn't get the repairs done till too late the following tuesday so couldn't pick coach up til wednesday. When I picked it up I found the main disconnects off and the fridge had thawed and all was warm inside. When I informed the service desk of the problem, the only response was "you left the fridge on with stuff in it". I was never informed that they would shut off the power which turns off the fridge even on propane. The carpet runners inside had also been kicked up and clearly there were shoe prints on the underside.
Although we only lost condiments from the fridge it was $30 to replace the items that we shouldn't have to do. Not even an offer for a gift card or a sorry. We will find another repair facility the next time.

Now she she upset because know one is communicating with her after she was approved!
My aunt told her niece to go up there to have the manager call her directly but none of the managers could be found in the hole building. That's bad business if you ask me

Camping World warranty repairs on new rv trailer

We bought our trailer back in may 2018 an after our first trip we had some issues that needed correction. None of these were anything that prevented us from using the trailer so after the two weeks at camping world ft myers, fl we picked it up as we were told that it would take a few weeks to get all the paperwork in order. No big deal and we went on our next trip. When we got back we dropped it off at the dealer and told them just call when ready. Well after much time i started checking on what was going on and they told me there were some problems dealing with starcraft which after talking to starcraft i found out more and more that what i believe to false information. They are a joke when it comes to taking care of the customer in an even close to timely manner and whenever i talk to to someone it is always blamed on either the mfg or a present or former employee that did not followup on the issues. Absolute disgrace to run a business that way

Camping World work that has been done on my motorhome

Had a broken tile issue worked on in September of 2017, the tile broke within 45 days of the repair.
I was told I have a year to get it taken care of and now CampingWorld won't replace the tile.
The REV group who makes the Fleetwood diesel pusher paid CampingWorld to fix the problem with the tile. I reported the problem to CampingWorld and to REV as soon as they replaced tile failed, I was told I had a 12 month warranty on all work and to bring the rv back when we got back into Mesa Arizona.

Camping World Harrisburg...horrible. Stay away...if you have an issue they never seem to be able to return calls, answer emails or anything else that requires communication! I opted to give them a second chance after a bad experience my first time around with them last year...boy was I stupid! Don't even bother giving them a first chance. If you have to spend a few more dollars elsewhere for a camper, do it! You will be glad you did when it comes to needing to contact them for anything after your purchase. I have even written letters directly to the CEO, Mr. Marcus Lemonis...and I still have not had any luck. Although he apparently did share one of my letters with them, it made no difference in how they chose to treat me. Worst place ever...I will never go there again - nor will I give any money to Gander Outdoors since they are owned by the same company. Oh, and how can I forget...if you ever break down...Good Sam is as much a joke as Camping World.

Camping World sales

Sherman Texas Camping World was the worse experience ever buying a new camper! Been almost 2 months and still have no tags or even copies of the paperwork I sign on the day I spent over 4 hours signing all that crap! Been asking for copies and was assured by Arron the Sales Manager I would get them, guess his and Camping Worlds word is crap! I did not even know when my payment was due until 4 days before it was due! Who in the hell does business like this?
The only form I got showed I financed $15, 800.00. Once I finally did get payment details it shows I owe over $16, 500.00?
Did not even get the sewer hose for this new camper! Like buying a new car and have to buy the tires separate to be able to operate the damn thing! Very disappointed and would tell all to beware of the sales team at the Sherman Location, they just want there commission and do not give a rats @$$ about it's customers!

BE AWARE when you buy anything at this store it may be CHEAPER ONLINE @ Camping World catalog and THEY will NOT TELL you about that SALE PRICE. KEN, the new GM at the Sherman location acknowledges and agrees with that practice. So, Camping World Corp and the local stores like the Sherman location may have different pricing and basically compete against each other. How SAD IS THAT! Buyer BEWARE. As of 10/5/18.

Camping World 2019 prowler

Good afternoon my name is kenneth godkin,
I have had my camper at the syracuse store 4 times! For various warranty issues which are finally fixed!.. But..in the course of the repairs I have lost everything in the fridge and freezer because of the tech guy shut the propane off after he filled the tanks, because they had to camper for almost 2 week for the repairs. They lost my keys and never recovered them! I was promised a wax and washed up a gift card for all my trouble and losses but unfortunately I pick my camper up today for the final repair and nothing in compensation has been done I am really disappointed with your syracuse store! Pretty sad on the service department.
A very unhappy camper
Ken godkin

Camping World my insurance roof replacement gone horribly wrong!

I went to Camping World in Hillsboro Or. Sept 5th to get my 2014 Keystone Alpine 5th wheel roof replaced thru Ins that I purchased at Camping world in Meridian Id approx 5 months ago. I had the worst experience ever! The list is too long to describe. They left the inside dirty, broke my vent trim ring ( which they "glued" back together ) broke the shower head and never protected my floor or carpet. It was pouring down rain the day I went to pick it up and watched several workers going inside and out with wet dirty boots with no regards to my floors or carpet which was soaking wet!
I went up to look at my roof and took 21 different pictures of sloppy caulking, no caulking and air bubbles around every vent. I've sent Eric at Hilsboro my pictures thru email but no response... I know my roof needs to be replaced again to do it right, which is going to be a pain for us as we are full timers. I hope we can get something resolved before we get our lawyer involved to settle this matter. I would appreciate a phone call to see what we can do about this.

Thank you
Eric Bradburn [protected]

Camping World rv repair

Took my rv to campingworld 7 weeks ago. Told them that the1- over pilot light where not are light, 2-, the refit would not cool down lip (gas,) 3- the thernstat. Gid not 4-the fire place did not work. My wife and I drove over to the store 3 weeks ago and added that the oven door had a problem. We were told the frog and oven worked fine. But the fireplace was on back order not sure when it would come in. We could come get our fifwheel and us it and bring in when fireplace comes in. So we picked it up when we picked it up they told us that the master bedroom slide had th be serviced due to some problem with it. Got our trailer home the bed room slide not working. Frig still not getting cold. Stove plot light still will not light. Old fire place falling old in flood of trailer. With nails sticking out around the frame so you can cut youtself. Is this the quality of work I can expect from camping world. I will take my business elsewhere. And cancel all 4 of my good sam products

Camping World being lied to by the finance manager.

When we bought our camper I asked him a question and he lied to me. This made us make a different financial decision then we would have had he told the truth. Not happy and will never shop at a camping world again. Also warning all others to stay away. Please let me know if you can do anything to help with fixing this issue. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Camping World 2018 coleman 2405 by dutchmen

re: VIN 4YDT24020JM935249

THIS SAME EMAIL WAS SENT TO CAMPING WORLD IN HAMBURG, NY 2 DAYS AGO WITH NO RESPONSE. :

"I am writing regarding a problem with my 2018 Coleman 2405 by Dutchmen. I have had it there (Hamburg) for service (warranty repairs) three times and the problem has not been fixed. I like the unit and the salesman was great, but the problem of a parasitic voltage draw on the battery is still there. I last picked it up from service on 9/1 at Camp Road, brought it to Ashford 30 miles away. The voltage was 12.2 volts when I got there. Eighteen hours later it was 10.2 volts. Three days later it was 2.8 volts (at the battery)! This should not be and I shouldn't have to disconnect the battery to maintain voltage, There seems to be a lack of understanding with the service department and/or the tech working on it.
I last placed a call with service manager (I left a message) Craig Carpenter and he has not returned my call regarding this matter which tells me their is a lack of concern to keep the customer happy. If this problem can't be resolved, and that's all I ask for, I will take further action at the corporate level, (hence this email) and/or instigate litigation. The problem was first noticed in April after I had it one month. It has taken a lot of my time to hook it up and drop it off more than once for the same problem not to have it fixed. Please contact me to discuss a plan to correct this problem. Thank you."

The last time I had it there they wanted to charge me $70. for further checking but waived the fee after I complained, after all it is under warranty and I shouldn't have to pay anything especially when it's not fixed! We cancelled one camping reservation while it was in for service. I have made numerous calls, including to the Tech Line and the customer service in Goshen, Indiana. Besides taking up a lot of my time, having an unknown electrical problem, I am also fearful of the possibility of a fire.

Camping World kingston ny management compliant

I went for two interviews at the Kingston branch last interview was with David Dandurand. He called me the next day told me I had the job if I would like it. I told him yes. He told me I would hear from h and r about paper work then work on schedule and discuss pay. Never heard anything. The secretary Ellen began to text me asking if I heard anything which I didn't. I called numerous times nothing. I finally received a email from David Dandurand stating he was emailing me a link I needed to fill out online application before I went forward. I tried 10 times to do application would not work. Emailed him he had me talk to a recruiter. Job was never posted so I had to fill out a mechanic application. I called to let him know it was done. Never heard anything. Mean while I was under the assumption I have got the job so I turned down an other job along with already put two weeks in with previous job. Today 9/10 I called 3 times could not get ahold of him. I reached out via email. He emails me back and says today was your start date and you never showed. I explained that I never heard from anyone with a start date or time. Never received email back. I am a single mother of three kids and now have no job went on job search site and he posted reception job after or talk through email. I am very upset on his management skills and the professionalism of how this place is ran. I have all my emails and text and voicemils, I will be contacting an attorney to see what my options are now that I'm jobless because of your unprofessional manager at the Kingston branch. I'm sorry but if I was a manager I would sent my potential employee a email or call verifying Start day and time especially if they reached out as manny times as I did. Plus I never filled ww2 out or got a wage amount.

Camping World unprofessional service - greenwood indiana and tennessee

April, 2018 we purchased a used 2015 Crossroads Sunset Super Lite travel trailer. After a trip to Georgia we stopped at a Camping World in Tennessee to ask a few questions with the service center. Since we were not given appropriate attention we felt we could stop on our return trip home. The second attempt to obtain professional and adequate attention was even worse than the first time. We spoke with a service advisor; he left to obtain information and never returned! After waiting 20 minutes we left. Our experience with Camping World was horrific but we felt it might have been a single incident at the TN Camping World.

On July 27, 2018 a motorhome, while parking the vehicle, scraped the side of our Crossroads Sunset RV. Since we had an August trip to Minneapolis scheduled we felt it would be easiest to stop at a Camping World on our return trip to Waynesville, NC and obtain an estimate. The nearest travel trailer service and sales is in Asheville, NC and would require us to take time off from work therefore, we stopped at the Camping World 303 Sheek Road, Greenwood, IN 46143. Service Advisor Ray Shoemake, after much deliberation went out to our camper and took pictures with the managers phone. He repeated at least four times that it would be 7-10 days for an estimate. I completed the paperwork and reviewed pictures of parts requiring replacement.

After 3 weeks I finally called Ray and left him a message. The female manager contacted me and indicated two things: first, the paper form was accidentally tossed in the garbage; and secondly, the pictures, taken with the managers phone were lost! I ask you...how can both items be lost? I could understand a misplaced form but not lost pictures as well. The female manager had no idea how any of this occurred and never offered any solution to us.

We now need to go to the nearest RV center, of which is Camping World, Asheville NC. We are terribly reluctant and disappointed with the service experienced. Not only are Camping World costs 3x that of any other RV service but our confidence and trust with their service centers are nonexistent. We obviously need to get our RV fixed with new parts but have already waited nearly one month and still have no resolution.

Lastly, we have not been able to contact a Camping World representative despite multiple numbers given on the web to discuss our issue.

Camping World sales manager sold the camper out from under me after a cash deposit was given

I was dealing with Cullen and Maxey ( a new Camping World store in Nashville) on a 5th wheel. I drove up on Saturday and left a large cash deposit and told them I was traveling on business the following week. 3 days into my trip I get a call from my salesman and he tells me that the sales manager wasn't going to hold the unit for me and had taken another deposit and was selling the unit. I called and spoke with the sales manager and he was rude and offensive. I then asked to the Store Manager. He was rude, loud and gave excuses. I repeatedly asked for hid supervisors contact information but he refused to give it to me. I am still searching for that contact information nbut will leave a complaint with the BBB.

Camping World repair service

Camping world had my RV for over a month. I had a fluid leak from a slide out. I was told after a month of waiting, there is no oil leak. When I picked up my RV and drove it home, I opened the slide and saw oil in the bedroom area of the RV. It is a4 hour round trip and over 200 miles to Get service. Camping World is dishonest, liars and cheats. When I called I was told it must be a leak from the chassy? Are you serious,
