Camping World customer service

I bought a RV GPS at the Camping World Store in Alabama last year and also bought a two year warranty. On my way to a work camp job in MN the GPS died in Chicago in the middle of a storm not good news. When I finally got to the resort I called customer service. Very personable and was told they would ship me a new GPS. Nothing. Two weeks later I called again same bright and friendly representative told me that I would definitely get a new on and that a manager would be calling me. Nothing. Called again and got another rep and he asked me to send him an email with a picture of the GPS. Thought it was a strange requested but I did so. No reply from him. So once again I call and this representative said since I bought it at a retail store I would need to return it to a Camping World store. Since the nearest store was 3.5 hours away this was something I was trying to avoid. I would not have been upset at Camping World if this was communicated to me the first time I called instead of giving me the run around. It appear their customer service department needs training in customer service.

I did go to their store in Monticello and got a new GPS. Face to face service was excellent.

Camping World heartland pioneer bh250 experience

Bought my camper on 7/22 from camping world statesville nc. Happy with all, at that point. Left and 20 miles later, a tire blew out. Called, and camping world was gonna send someone out — ended up changing tire myself and going home — no one — not my salesman, nor finance guy even called about such an experience — I have 4 tires that I have no confidence in, and no help from camping world at all. Has customer service gone to hell? No followup after spending 16, 000. Pityful — worst sales experience after the sale I have had — not even a free phone call. So, I am going to tell all not to buy from camping world — love you till the sell, then done with you — sorry in my opinion!

Camping World motorhome repairs

I own a 20p9 thor mandalay,. I contacted campingworld in columbus ohio for a repair on a bedroom slide out that wouldn't come all the way in and lock. I made the appointment for june 27th at two o'clock. I was advised that it may be a week before they repair it as they were short handed. I advised them that I was a full time rv'r and lived in my motorhome. It was two weeks before they even looked at it so I told them that I needed my motorhome as the motel was getting expensive and that I had already paid $ 700.00 on my camping spot at alton campground. I told them that I would take the motorhome back to the park and when they got the locking mechanism they could call me as I was only a half hour away. I was told if I took the motorhome I would have to make a new appointment and the first a valuable appointment is the first week in sept. Here it is july 20th and they havn't ordered the locking mechanism nor have they contacted my extended warranty company. I believe that camping world needs to review their policy so as full time rv owners can stay in their rv till the date it can be worked on
This is my last dealings with camping world and believe me as I travel the country my remarks about this london/columbus ohio camping world won't be the nicest. If you think you will recieve a return call from them dont hold your breath.

Camping World cougar travel trailer by keystone

It started with the Purchase of brand new 2017 off the lot Travel Trailer. Purchased at the Camping World from Burlington WA. The issues started with owning the trailer for one month and in that time we found 19 different "warrantee" issues. Brought the trailer into Camping World in the month of Nov 2016 - did not receive any calls, no information. With us constantly communicating to see what is going on, no one had complete dates, the information was that the Manufacturing/Warantee department wasn't able to order parts in a timely manner, then the repair rep at this company was fired or quit (conflicted information) but we were not notified of completion of trailer, as our product sits on the lot, no one thought to maybe contact us or inform us that our product was ready for pick up, so we did not receive our trailer until end of Feb 2017. 4 months on this lot. 19 issues. When we did a walk through on said repairs, we found 3 of the major concerns were not only "disregarded" but when it was pointed out, the repair shop informed us that they had done what was requested when clearly the issue was not fixed. They had to have us bring the trailer back in on another separate occasion as they once again had to order parts. No one answered questions, they greeted us with a resentful attitude and no one apologized for the lack of communication. As the owners of this brand new product, we have had it (at the time a total of 1.5 months in our possession, out of 6). When we got the product back in February, there was a leak that we informed them about and were told there isn't a fixable solution to the water on the counter.
Fast forward to the 4th of July weekend, once again another issue. This time it was major - pipe burst, flooded the inside of the trailer is how ever much water the water tank holds, fixed it, on hand as we were out of vacation, to make due, 3 different times. When it was brought back into the dealership, was told it was faulty equipment, on this brand new trailer that has been used 2 times. 2 times because we have not had this in our possession to be used. Now, its a brand new product with 19 already mentioned problems and then the pipes were faulty. I've tried working a complain in their house, I then went to a Lead at Camping world proper, he has blown me off and so I went to Corporate, only to be continually ignored. At my wits end with this company with this product. Im attaching the entire email stream that has been back and forth so long now I feel like its intentional, so that I will finally just throw my hands up and walk away. Not gonna happen.

Camping World supplemental braking system smi stay and play

Purchased and had this system installed three years ago at Camping World of Oakwood, Ga., has been the biggest nightmare of getting it to work right yet. Have talked with other Rv'S that have same system they have no problems. My first mistake was dealing with Camping World have done figured out they don't know how to properly install this system to get it to work right. Will never advise anybody to use this place for anything like this all I can say is run the other way.

Camping World coleman dutchmen 2014

Day 1 told we could have it that afternoon after they did a look through.
Day 2 it was in the ready to pick up line, no one even touched it much less looked at it.
Day 4 Nathan calls for the previous owners DVDs that were left.
Set up and ready to go to work, Nathan calls and says our holding tank came in and is ready to be installed because the one on it has a crack. ? No one said ANYTHING
A day after this no power. Go throught the whole camper and in the junction box is a melted wire! Yes this could have caught on fire!
This list is growing and no one will take our calls!

Camping World 2017 rd-210 pioneer purchased october 2016

Brandon, Adam, Anyone at Camping World,
Is there anywhere besides Camping World that will do warranty work on my RD-210?
As you are aware I've had no satisfaction from Camping World Colfax. I've had this 2017 RV 9 months and have yet to have an experience without issues. I really would like to return the RV if at all possible. After the last visit The RV came back to me with serious mud on tires and Bird dropping all over the thing. Now every time it rains I get water in the floor of the RV. That was not happening before I left it there to fix the air conditioner that didn't work, the toilet that leaked, the USB ports that didn't' work, and the missing floor staples. Possibly a roof leak where the air conditioner was replaced? In any case I've purchased a brand new Heartland RV in October of 2016. It is now July 2017 and I have yet to have a camping experience with it without issues. I would prefer a Refund or at the very least a very quick response, repair or alternate place of warranty work. It is now the 4th of July and I have zero confidence in taking this unit on an outing. Camping World, Good Sam, somebody please help with this issue.

Randy & Marcia

Camping World 2017 salem hemisphere

Worst mistake ever buying from Camper World! Was delivered with a tear in recliner. Had it home less than a week and noticed floor in bunk room was wet. Searched for but found no leak. Called and was told it would be a couple weeks before they could get it in. They had the camper 2 weeks and out of about 10 repairs they fixed one. The leak. As THEY we're transporting it back to us the shower doors were shattered, dishes that were secured were thrown out and broke, the slide out for kitchen is busted, and neither air conditioner is working properly. And we are being run around again
Fed up is an understatement. I am going to see what exactly our rights are. This company should be SO ashamed. This is definitely not the experience I was hoping for after just losing my mom on the first😟. What should have been peaceful has turned into a nightmare.

Camping World service and sales

This review is based upon my recent experience with the Camping World of Monticello but due to the lack of response from Camping World Corporate I would include the whole company for this review.

Their business practices are deceptive. Their customer service is horrible. Their management hides behind voicemail and email with no response other than thanks for the inquiry and the Good Sam association with them is a scam.

I brought my RV to the dealership for service due to an electrical issue, water leak, running board and cabinet repair. The customer service rep (Matt) started off with trying to sell me a "pressure test" process to determine if my RV had "leaks". After going over the RV with Matt for more than 20 minutes I simply asked to fix the RV for what I brought in for.

They had the RV for approximately 6 weeks. I was told the water leak was due to a "custom" part that had to ordered and built. I was never really clear on the what the part was and to get a reasonable clarification took multiple phone calls and email.

The electrical issue was not resolved. Matt informed me my electrical issues were due to defective cabin batteries. The batteries are only 6 months old! Their service tech's recommended putting in a "disconnect switch" for the leveling system and re-wiring the cab radio which I agreed to. My cost for their electrical diagnosis and repair was in excess of $500 and they did not correct the problem.

I took the RV to Pleasureland in St. Cloud for them to diagnose and fix. It took them about 2 hours, replace the solenoid (which is one of the electrical components I told Matt to check) and all is good.

Overall I had over $1500 in out of pocket expense.

Secondly...I informed them at the time of service that I was interested in purchasing a newer, larger RV. Their salesperson (Tyler) reached out to me and said he would go to work to see what he could do. I FOUND an RV for sale at another Camping World location in Florida!

I could tell from the beginning the sales rep was not working in my best interest. Multiple emails and phone calls to direct him to the dealership on Florida and make the sale happen was impossible.

When I inquired to Tyler for a list of features/options on the RV they wanted to sell me his statement was..."I wasn't able to get a specific spec sheet and option list for that motorhome because it is used."

Long story short...The other items I requested to be repaired were completed and look good, work well BUT...based upon my overall experience I wouldn't go back to this store or any other Camping World ever again.

Buyer Beware and I would look to another aftermarket warranty product other than Good Sam based upon this experience and their connection with Camping World

Camping World service department, nashville, tn

Stopped here on Monday 6/19/17, with a brand new unit and a refrigerator that stopped working. Asked if someone could just look at it. Might have been a simple reset. We were turned away and told that "maybe" they could fit us in at the end of the month. We explained that we were from SW Florida and traveling. They were rude about it, to make matters worse. Disgrace to Camping World.

Camping World coleman camper

I purchased a camper from Camping World in Roanoke, Virginia in March of this year 2017. In May 2017 I took it camping for the first time. The back jack on the trailor quit working half way through lowering it. Fuses blew to the dining room table light and couch and did not work during our trip. After returning home, I called Camping World, my husband and I work Mon - Friday, so they did let us bring it on a sunday, refused to come pick it up for us, and so we were not able to deliver it until June 4th - and we live a hour and half away. Service tech called June 6th-7th and asked for detail of what was wrong. By 6/13/17 never heard anything, so I called them, Dwayne Ferguson began to tell me the wires were wired backwards and they would have to cut a hole, and rewire then paint. We have a camping trip planned, allowing them 3 weeks to complete my camper, and they can not make any promises to me that it will be completed. I do not think that it is acceptable that I purchased a brand new camper, never used and have to return it to hear that it has to be cut, and repatched and painted, or a ceiling panel removed. I have spoke to three different people early this morning at camping world, and all 3 told me they would call me back, and all 3 have not retuned my phone call by this point. The sales manager I had left a message with, and knows my situation, left the building and wont be back in today - Ron Bowls without returning my phone call. I called the Retail Team Manufacture for Keystone/Dutchman - to file complaint and check on warrenty. Camping world did not submit my claim until yesterday 6/13/17. I have had the worst experience. I would not recommend anyone to purchase through camping world. I feel they should replace my camper. I do not want a repaired place and then have to worry about leaks. When this was not my fault.

Camping World richmond, in - dishonest in work completed

We flew from California to Camping World of Richmond, Indiana to purchase a used 2006 Country Coach Intrigue. They sent us Work Orders of 27 items that they had already repaired on the coach. After 40+ phone calls, emails and text we felt comfortable to spend the money ($1995.00) to travel there to purchase the coach. When we got there most of the 27 items on the Work Orders had NOT be done even though the Work Order said the status of each item was "complete". Some of the items having to do with the water system we were unable to check because they couldn't find a hose to put water into the coach. One of the main items that they said they had fixed and didn't was a fuel leak and a coolant leak. We took a 20 mile test drive and used approx. 2 gallons of coolant. It really is upsetting that they would let us leave in the Coach and drive from Indiana to California knowing it had a coolant leak. We would have been stopping every 50 miles to refill it with coolant. Fortunately for us, we had taken our son-in-law who knew about Diesel engines and saw the leaks. We knew that there had been a water leak on one of the slide seals and we asked the staff if they could see any mold or mildew in the RV. The salesman said he had been in the coach lots of times and had never seen any. One of the first things we noticed were the mushrooms growing under the dinette and in the bedroom slide. Wasted time and money traveling there because they are dishonest. The Coach is still up for sale, who will be the next victim?
I hope I can prevent others from wasting money flying to this location to purchase a Coach. Beware if they give you a Work Order that says the items have been completed.

Camping World service department at calera alabama

My name is David McDaniel and I bought a brand new Class C RV back in January 2017 and needed some warranty work completed. The leveling jacks were not working correctly, TV needed to be replaced(blank screen) and the door stuck when trying to open. I was told that it would be 2 weeks to get an appointment and then 2 weeks to get the diagnosis for warranty. I took my RV in about 5 weeks ago and was told nothing was wrong with the leveling jacks (crazy as I had talked with online support and they suggested taking it right in). My fear is that the leveling jacks are not fixed and I will be right back in the same boat. The TV was ordered but when it came in it looks to have some damage with the pixels but they installed it anyway. I asked if they were going to replace it and the answer I got was no we were going to see what you thought and maybe it would work for you. Bad answer! I do not want to have to go through this crap again, waiting 2 weeks to get an appointment and then 5 weeks to order a TV. I had to ask that they order a new TV to replace that one as well. I believe Camping World should pay 1 month of my loan payment due since they have kept it for over a month ($540). Also this service department is obviously ran by incompetent people so replacing management might be in order. I just want my RV back so that I can use what I'm paying for, what a waste! Please help me!

Camping World rv servicing

I took my RV in to get some work done, and at first they seemed to be ok. After keeping my vehicle for over three weeks and getting my vehicle back some of the work wasn't completed and the rest was poorly done. I was charged $1000 for a poorly done job and unfinished work.

I then sent in a complaint to the Camping World complaint department, and no one ever responded. This company is not good with customer service, nor with fixing things that need work on an RV. This was my worst experience ever!

Camping World manager of store and service department

My wife and I bought a Coleman camper in April 2017 used it once. We found some issues with the camper. On 5/24/2017 I carried the camper back to Calera, Alabama to get issues repaired under warrant. I was told the issues would be Diagnosed in 2 days and may take up 2 weeks for warranty so they could repair. On 5/29/2017 I received an email from the service department tell me that the camper has been diagnosed yet. The service department guy said they were backed up because they didn't have enough man power and had to take care of other campers to close out their end of month. So he told me a couple of more days util my Diagnosis. So today 6/2/2017 about 9 am I was told my camper still hasn't been diagnosed so I went to my doctors appointment then when I got finished I went by Camping world. I spoke to the store manger to see what was going on. I told him my complaints he told me to stay right here I did. He went to service department came pack took me to service department so I could talk to them I did and I told them my complaints. It amazing that from 9 am to 11:30 am that things got done. B S. Then I had to talk to the store manager again he asked me if everything was ok. I said NO. He told me that he couldn't speak for the service department. I asked him isn't this your store. He should be able too speak for every person on those grounds. Then he told me he would take care of me. Well they have done yet in a timely manner. Just fix the products you sale in a timely manner and if you are having problems call the costumer. A phone call would be A lot better than a email. This camping world problems are costumer service, Communication to costumer, service department and Management.

Our brand new camper was with them for nearly 3 months... now this is brand new off the shelf... We got excuse after excuse and more excuses and lies with a brain game twist of lies again.

And telling us we have to pay for the repairs, of our brand new camper... WT!

After all it is the brand name Coleman and Camping world you would expect to trust right?

Finally we got the call all the jobs have been done and completed... Just maybe they are telling the truth and they have done the jobs and addressed the problems.

Some jobs had been done and others where never touched, I even have the photo's to prove it... and then here came the brain games again as if I am stupid, the brain games they must pull of thousands of others.

Our brand new radio still does not work neither does the fan in the roof of the toilet our outside lights don't work still, but hay all jobs have been completed... the second walk through was a joke and any problem went back to the General Manager who said it is not covered by warranty so suck it up.

6 months has passed and they still do not have the part or fixed it, what type of company and people are running this circus, yet they are selling defective campers and holding people's campers hostage.

If we had our way we would never deal with camping world, the sales team can appear nice then once you get the camper after sales for us and I have read many others get the run around... Oh I am a trouble maker... well once Camping World Calera Alabama sold us their problems... That is problems.

We have come to the conclusion Camping World has refused to fix things on our brand new camper so we need to fix it ourself... But my advice is get everything in writing but remember something you are dealing with a Cult a way of life Camping World Deals With Customers... Maybe there is good people but also management are not the welcoming type... We discovered and when you are told something they can quickly retract, or blame you for a blown fuse, saying it is your car and you need to get it checked, still wanting to charge you prices that do not make sense.

If you had a good experience with Camping World, post it and of you feel you are being cheated lied too and brain games read reviewers posts.
Please look at other RV, Travel Trailer Sellers before going to Camping World Calera Alabama.
They can refuse to fix your brand new camper, saying it is not a warranty issue and you have to pay for the repairs and you think I just brought this and now they are charging me more.
Our Electricals where never fixed, oh here is the good one... he or she does not work here anymore so they say and they make a new contract and try and void the old promises.
Dealing with them is a total brain game, that a customer shouldn't be subjected to play.

We got our camper on the last day of May 31st 2020 and our camper is still not fully functional, the first month they could not get our Tag name right... we addressed some issues with the General Manager we discovered in June 2020 he never replied back and did not reply back.
But after getting the run around, this is when I brought my camper to them... it is 10/13/2020 and we still have not had the issues of a brand new camper resolved, as I said they told me it was all fixed... it is not fixed. How can a brand new sound system be fixed when it does not work?
How can the electrical be fixed when it does not work.
Battery has been tested? What does this have to do with my lights fans and radio not working... Get my car checked on my plug. WT!
I feel angry that Camping World Calera, Alabama... Tell lies and missdirect the words they use or the way they pretend. 3 weeks to have the general manager to approve floor trim that they say is holding me to get our camper back and then all jobs are completed... just lies and more lies.
I have had more to say... but feeling jerked around is not a good feeling. Camping World Calera should be ashamed of themself. Yes This is my review.

I here you Mr. Whitaker! I also have an RC with the Calera service department getting warranty work completed. They have had mine for over 5 weeks and still ready. All they needed was to replace a TV and check the leveling jacks which they said nothing was wrong so just a TV. Crazy call I got was that they received the TV and it was damaged but it looks like it might work...NO! Replace the TV and quickly. Very sad that I purchased through Camping World and the one that has a very poor service department. I had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment and now 5 weeks for a TV replacement. What ever happened to good customer service?

Camping World camping world kingston ny complaint

Good morning..

I receive your e-mails all the time for sales. Depending on the sale it is either for internet only or can be used at one of your stores or internet. Which I find really odd, all sales should be able to be used at a store or on the internet. If you have a sale, you should want the consumer to go to your local store and spend money, then go on the internet.

I recently received an e-mail with a flyer for a memorial day sale. One of the items (Maxxair ii vent cover, white, $37.57) I was interested in. I had chatted with a on-line support person and I asked how much shipping was ($12) and thought that was too much.

I then decided to call the kingston ny store (On 5/27/2017) and see what the price was or if they match the e-mail / internet sale price. I talked with a gentlemen named bruce from the store and he said to just do a print screen of the internet sale price and he would gladly match the price. He then asked me for my name, since he would hold the product, since I was going to send my sister-in-law to pick the item up for me, since she lives closer to the store than we do and was coming to our house for a cook out.

My sister-in-law goes to the store and asks for the item that has been put aside for me. The cashier has no idea what she is talking about. The whole thing from there became a cluster and she had to call me. The cashier then ask my sister-in-law for my camping world membership number. There seemed to no clue to what was going on or where the product was put aside, etc.

My sister-in-law got jerked around so badly, she asked to talk with a store manager. Once she talked with this lady (Sorry, she didn't get a name) she put me on the phone with her to explain what was the whole store.

I end up talking with the store manager and she proceeds to tell me that she can only give me the internet price if I am a camping world member. I told her when I talked with bruce yesterday, he did not mention anything to me about I had to be a camping world member for the price. He just said print off the sale price from the internet and bring it in and would gladly match the price.

The store manager then proceeds to tell me that is the store policy and you have been told incorrect. She continued to go on and on about this is how it is, etc. With her overall tone, I told her to forget the sale and put the item back on the shelf.

My sister-in-law and I talked further later about the whole situation and I apologized for the wasted trip and what she went through. My sister-in-law told me it was a terrible experience at the cashier and one person didn't know anything about anything. See felt that everyone she talked with was new. No one had really any understanding of where a product might have been held, etc.

I should have warned her from my day's prior call, since when I asked about a product, the person who answered the phone couldn't give me any help, she had to transfer me to a cashier for help. I then had to leave my information and have someone get back to me, since all the cashiers were busy. That is when bruce had call me back about my question I had about that maxxair ii vent cover in white.

I have to tell you, after how my sister-in-law was treated and the rudeness of the store manager about the pricing and needed to have a camping world membership, I will never do business with camping world again.

As my wife said as I was filling her in on the situation when we all were talking over lunch, there is no service in customer service anymore. Especially when a customer has been told something from an employee and people make special arrangements to pick something up, the customer should be right. But in this case, not even close to being empathetic about the problem and this is how it is.

Now they have lost a sale, lost any possibility of future sales and have wasted my time and my sister-in-laws, just to try to save a few bucks on an accessory for our trailer.

After this situation, I will have to start looking closer to home at our mom and pop stores and trailer dealers, then anymore at the sales or on-line for camping world. The frustration and aggravation is not worth any possible savings I could gain.

Thank you for your time and attention to my note.

Yours truly,

Jay jorgensen

Camping World service

Boise/meridian Idaho. Horrible customer service. I will not be bringing my business back to Camping world. For several days I attempted to get a part number from my RV to order. I spoke with both the parts and service department who bounced me back and forth and neither wanted to help. Both said it's the other departments job. I asked to speak with a manager at 3pm and was told he is at lunch. I asked to speak with the team lead who I could hear in the background on the phone. They sent me to his message system instead of speaking with me. Camping world claims to want to put customers first but actions speak louder than words. I urge anyone wanting to use there service depart to look elsewhere.
