I bought a Canon PowerShot SD790IS @ CameraGiantsInc.com. They called a few days later to tell me it came with a 10-minute throw-away battery even though the website says in 'Kit Content' that it comes with a 'battery' and a 'battery charger'. He said I could buy the charger and battery for an extra $50 or so. Then I said politely that I guess I'll just cancel the order. He very quickly and nonchalantly said 'Okay, I'll take care of that right away... There will be a $50 charge.' Then I said, 'I'm sorry, did you say there would be a charge to cancel the order?' He confirmed and I said, 'Well, I guess my hands are pretty tied then.' He went on to say that the total of $200 was still better that anywhere else. I mentioned that I had just seen the same camera @ Costco for $160 (true story). Anyhow, these guys are dishonest. I hope they stop doing what they're doing. It will eventually catch up to them. And it sure makes for a crappy job to have to make and answer those calls - glad I don't work for CameraGiantsInc.com. The camera arrived on time and it's an awesome camera. But what a way to have to buy it.

Customer care stinks - After ordering my camera online for a good price I was happy with my purchase. That was before I got an email telling me that I had to call before the order would be processed. I thought this was a good security practice but it was only an excuse for high pressure sales. After the guy badgered me to buy more stuff I "absolutely needed" he tacked on a $30.00 insurance charge that is not memtioned on the website when you place your order. When I called to complain about the extra charge the guy was so rude that we got nowhere. I waited until the customer service opened 2 days later and if possible, they were even ruder! He raised his voice and mocked me like a school yard bully. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional bunch of people. When I asked to speak to a superviser I was transfered around and then a recording came on saying the customer service department was closed for the day ( 10 minutes after it opened!) I will NEVER order from this website again and I will tell anyone that will listen about my negative experience.
