Call Select Overcharging on invoice

The invoice is calculating the amount in Canadian dollars for Canadian customers and is applying the exchange rate twice.

On each individual call it calculates the amount as the number of minutes * rate/minute * currency exchange

Currently the rate for mobile call in Romania is $0.08 (listed on their website in USD) and the exchange rate (CAD/USD) is 1.55 - blended rate, updated yearly.

I had a call of 56 minutes and the charge was $7.30.

The total for all the calls was $26.69 which is supposed to be in CAD.

But on the summary section, on the charges it was listed $41.37 (which is $26.69 * 1.55)

So they are applying the exchange rate twice.

This is on top of the fact that 56 minutes * 0.08$/minute*1.55 = $6.95 (or $7.02 if we add the $0.07 call setup fee which is not listed on their website but on the Comwave, the parent company) which should have been the amount (not $7.30)

On Term and Conditions it is stated that "Outside of the United States all long distance charges on your bill will already include an additional currency exchange rate to the US dollar which is subject to change based on market conditions."

This means that all charges on the invoice will be in CAD

When I called about this I was told that in fact the amount on the individual calls in in USD and not in CAD. Then I was told that I was not on the $0.08/minutes rate since CallSelect was purchased by Comwave and they mentioned about the connection setup fee for calls over 5 minutes (on Comwave terms and conditions the connection setup fee is listed for all long distance calls)

I was offered a credit for the difference in the last invoice

This was not the outcome I expected and therefore I cancelled the account with CallSelect.

Desired outcome: I would like to propose an audit on the billing process to ensure the correctness in the charging of the customers

Call Select I do not use this service, the bill grows despite payments.

I do not use this service, do not need it I use WhatsApp, the bill grows despite payments, I have been calling and there seems to be a technical problem, lines always sound busy after following instructions. Call Select Overpayment of invoice

I accidentally misplaced decimal point and paid $299. Instead of $2.99. They refuse to refund me the $. As of jan 8/2021 $277.29. Say system not set up for it. Told me to get my bank to return the $.
Overpayment while I was in spain feb. 6/2020. Paid through my bank. Tried to contact them by phone upon return. Not possible until few days ago..
I have copies of bank statements showing overpayment.

Desired outcome: want my credit balance returned.

Call Select Communication

Hi,

Trying to contact the company by phone to advise of some changes in my personal information which can have impact on my account, the operator mentions that (any of) the dialed number is not in service.

Otherwise, on their website there is not any alternative way proposed to reach call select (excepting a fax number - seriously?). Also, one cannot make changes on the personal customer account directly online.

There is a way to know if the company still exists? If yes, how to reach them?

Call Select Long distance calls.

I was using this service while ago for my home phone number for making long distance calls. About year ago I cancelled that phone line. However, I am still getting charged monthly for $1.14 with a preauthorized credit card payment.

I was trying to make them call to cancel the service, but all their phone numbers are not working.

Therefore, no option to call them, but payments and invoices keep going.

Call Select unknown

This 1-888-405-9988 number keeps calling and hanging up on our machine. I just wanted to let you know of the unknown caller. I like other sites too. Caller complaints, 1-800-notes, The federal trade commission. Those stop scams, and prank calls too. I hope this information helps everyone. It gets reported after several hang ups, late calls, flat tires, missing packages. I do have a post office box as well. I have high spam, antivirus and we screen all calls.

Call Select overcharging for months on international long distance calling service

Complaint for charging me more money for the service provided without any justification. I have the suspicion that This could be a possible massive activity against your clients. I need to have your explanations please at lease for me.

I just paid them. This time I just review 6 of them and I found important discrepancies en the charges in every one. I will do the same for the other ones that I have later.

I think that this sounds like a criminal or malpractice activity of business. I want you to review all my bills since I am your client please. I want you repay all what has been taken away and correct your mistake. I want to believe that this is just a mistake. I will have to report your business to the BBB if you do not clarify this problem. I hope that is a mistake and only happened with my account and not whit many others. Call Select long distance

Call Select charges Canadian customers in US currency for long distance calls - eve calls made in Canada! Nowhere on the bill is this indicated except a vague "Call Charge includes US currency exchange."

The exchange rate today for US$ is 1.27 but Call Select uses 1.48

On the bill they show the number of minutes and the cost for the call but nowhere does it say that this is in US currency. My minutes and cost for the calls I made were $8.33 but turned into a call charge of $12.33.

Also - did you know that any call of over 4 minutes gets a 5 cent "call set-up fee added"?

Call Select long distance

Call Select...This company is an example of everything that is wrong with the business model today. They aggressively seek your business and once they get it you are hooked. They promise a certain rate but then charge hidden fees. The long distance time and promised rate never add up. Most people don't notice. They charge every customer in US dollars. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous and under handed.You will never know what your rate is because it changes with respect to the exchange rate.This rate ends up being considerably more than the promised rate. We complained about this practice and were told to read the very fine print in their policy on line. We received no satisfactory explanation for what we thought was very misleading. We cancelled our service with call select . When we got a new long distance provider we were told by call select that our phone number that we have had for over 40 years can no longer be used for long distance. They would not explain why but again to read the fine print on their web site.In our opinion they chose to block that number from our new provider. Try to make a complaint to these guys and you'll be in for an eye opening experience. Use any other provider BUT call select.

I have submitted a complaint to the Commissioner for Complaints about Telecommunications Services.
Call Select refuses to put the exchange rate and the exchange calculation on the invoice.
I find this practice very deceptive.

Call Select overcharging and rude

I had an account with call select acc number 355705

They had been overcharging me for months now and when I confrontedthe issue, the rude customer service agent told me "I dont have time to check it, the bill has been printed out and you have to pay, if you wanna cancel you can"

Needless to say I did cancel and promised myself never to deal with such rude ignorant idiots any longer.

Their paper bill charge ($2) is ridiculous. They introduced it last fall (2010) and keep bugging me with it. There is nothing in the agreement that says that paper bill charge is applicable to monthly bills over $2, yet they force us to sign up for their e-billing. I'm not against it, but IMO if the company removes a part of its initial service, it should give to the customers something in exchange. I'd take $1 monthly credit for accepting e-billing option.
The customer service is not helpful at all. After three attempts to settle the problem with the "front-line", I asked to talk to a manager. I was asked what the convenient time for me was, so the manager could call back. I answered that it'd be after 18:30. Well, the manager called... three days later (!) and left a message on my answering machine that started with "Good morning!..." Nice, huh?

Call Select over charging

Call Select charge over charging. i have the bill from my cell phone provider roger, and the total min i have on my plan is 400 min, but call select sharge me 900 min for that month for long distance and i was surprize and i call them back so they can make it correct and mark this mistake . they ask me for bill from rogers i e:mail the bill, but still they refuse to remove the charges and start giving me threat that they will send this to credit bureau and Screwed my credit if i dont pay that bill and also they take some legal action .thay all are big scammers and have the week point CB . customer service is suckss... and very bad behaviour.

Call Select is a scamming company. Since Dec 31st 2013, they owe me $550 and it is more than 3 months now since I requested a refund. TD bank tried to recover couple of times, sent them 2 letters, but their requests were declined. After many calls and calls back, I got lots of promises, but nothing happened. Last week, they asked me to provide my bank account information [transit nr, bank nr, account nr] in order to refund my money. I stopped to TD bank, spoke with the Manger, got the information, sent it to CallSelect by email :customercare@easycustomercare.com After all that, I was told that they cannot refund it to my bank account and I have to contact my bank again and ask them to recall my money. Customer service is the worst. They refuse to connect you to Supervisor/Manager, or billing department. I feel like fighting with windmills and I cannot see the light at the end of my tunnel. Is anyone who can advise in this matter? Thanks much.

Call Select is a scamming company.
They owe me almost $600 and it is more than a month that they don't reimburse my money.
After 2 weeks and many phone calls, they asked for my credit card information to deposit my money. Nothing happened after a week and when I called back. They said that they can't deposit it to my credit card because I paid them through my bank account. so I gave them my bank account information. after a week I were told that they can't reimburse it to my bank account.
They have the worst service, there is no one to complain and they don't connect you to the billing department.
Avoid dealing with them and pass this on to anyone you know.

Call secel is a csaming company, so they have blocked my long distance calling from my phone, now. I didn't signed to any aggreement with them, but they are sending me bills to my home to a wrong name.
What should I do.?

I am in Windsor ON, I cancelled my account with call select and switched to Startec. I talked to the customer service but I am still receiving their bill as $4.0 for service charges and $2.0 for paper bill+ HST for the last two months.. what a scam?

Call Select is very reasonable. Have found them the best Long Distance call provider. Some people will complain if they get a bill at all.

call select is overcharging. i found this when one of my friends told me about it. so, becaues i have my cell registered with them i took the invoce from my provider and i confronted the minutes with the minutes registered by them. surprise there, i had up to 5 minutes added per conversation. i called them and i asked for an investigation in their system...
