California Law Group Payday Loan

I received several calls from 3 people claiming to work for California Law Firm saying that I had violated 3 Federal laws and they had filed a law against me for a payday loan that I had taken out in 2008. In order to get the charges withdrawn I needed to give them $650.00 to settle the matter. When I asked for an address in order to send a cashiers check for that amount the callers became belligerant and hostile saying that the police would come to my house and arrest me if I didn't pay them right then. I hung up. Supposidely I was to have been arrested several times over the last 6 months,

I recieved a call from a Mr. Alex William from Armstrong Law firm. The first time he called with a phone number in the area code of 214 which is a Dallas Texas number. I located the number and the supposed Law Firm only to find out that they were using the Armstrong Law firm as a front. I contact the Armstrong Law Firm in Dallas Texas and spoke to one of the partners. He told me how they were tring to get enough information to file a complaint against these people (Alex Williams) orgainization of individuals who purchase list of peoples personal information who have taken out payday loans. The real law firm is going to file charges with the FBI. They add additional fees as penalities and late fees to the original amount barrowed. In my case I borrowed $200 and total fees due to this faudulant group was now $611. Later when I tried to fax the quested information to the fake law firm in which Alex Williams supposely represented the number was not available and than I tried to call him back and that number was not available either. Next thing I knew I was getting calls from Mr. Alex Williams again only from a number with an area code of 562 which from what I have found is now a number out of New York and is still the Armstrong Law Firm. Do not give these people your money. When I demanded that I be sent an email and/or fax on the Attorney's letterhead which by the way Alex Williams is only an officer for an Attorney by the name of James Holland (fake) he refused to send me any requested information they were asking me for on the attorney's letterhead with the attorneys name, adddress, and phone number. Mr. Williams told me upon my complete payment, I would than recieve an information letter stateing I had pay the amount in full on the attorney's letterhead! I told him I was within my rights to recieve his attorney's request on company letterhead with the attorney's name, address, and phone number. He flat out refused. I told him my attorney would be contacting him for the same information and until such information was given Alex Williams and his attorney in which he represented would not be a dime out of me and I would see them in court. He told me that in a couple of days he would send police officers to my work to arrest me. I told him not to delay and to send them to my work today and I would put them in direct contact with my attorney. At that point Mr. Alex williams (fake officer) hung up the phone. His man has an Asian acsent and according to the real attorney that I spoke to at the real Armstrong Law Firm in Dallas Texas, he stated that these groups purchase list with all of our personal information on them including our ss #'s, reference numbers for friends and family memebers (oh and they will contact your family memebers and/or friends too! They called my mom and she told them to send the requested information to her via U.S. Post Office on the attorney's letterhead with all pertainent information and she would see to if that I got their request. Mr. Alex Williams, who by the way was telling my mom his name was now Mr. McKinnzey could not produce what my mom had requested. She told him to not make the mistake of contacting her again or Mr. Willliam/Mr. McKinnzey (whoever he is) would be hearing from her attorney for harrassment. Thus so far he has not contacted her again and I may add would be foolish in doing so! LOL! However, know that this entire thing is nothing more than a scam. Fuile complaints with the FBI and your locale Sheriff's department if you can. Get as much information from these indvidiuals as you can. You are within your rights to request information be on the so called Attorneys Company Letterhead with their address and phone number. If they refuse to give you that information upfront you can bet it is someone trying to scam you out of even more money. Demand the name of the payday company and any sub companies by name this payday orgainization may use. Let them know you will contact the orgianal payday loan company and you will deal with them direct. ***BIG INFORMATION THAT I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT*** I contacted Solomon which is a corporate name of a payday company that goes by Cash USA Payday Loan on the internet. One of their representatives told me that due to a new California state law they cannot collect any monies from California residence that have taken out payday loans on line. I am currently trying to investgate this statement. The representative from Solomon is emailing information regarding this law. When I find out more about this said law I will be more than happy to share that information as well, unless someone here otherwise already knows for certain about this new law I would love to hear about it. Don't take everything at face value alsways be willing to take the extra steps to make sure you are not getting ripped off by one of these so called "Officers" who work for some jibber's Attorney who isn't real either. File complaints, contact an attorney and/or your local sheriff's department. These scammers will stop at nothing, they will ring your phone off the hook at work at home, they will threaten to have you arrested to see you in court and they will demand at some point to speak to your boss and its all a bunch of hog wash! BEWARE! PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION! INVESTIGATE AND DEMAND LETERHEAD REQUEST WITH INFORMAITON SUCH AS THE ADDDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER! This attorney in which I recieved an email from had a (gmail) account? I got ripped off one time and I knew in my heart of hearts is wasn't right but instead of taking a chance I paid $518.00. When this second one came around I investigated and WOW! what I found out!
Sincerely,
A Concerned Payday Loan Borrower and Friend!

After hurricane ike destroyed all my belongings I applied for a payday loan with USA CASH ADVANCE. I signed a signature page with repayment info and submitted it. They money, which was supposed to be deposited into my account within 24 hours, never was received. So I went to their website and looked for a phone number. There wasn't one, however there was an email address. So I emailed them and never got a response. I assumed I was denied. Then $65 was removed from my account by an ACS electronic withdraw on at least two occasions. The bank didn't know where it was going and gave me some ling process of how to see where it was going, and how to stop it; which would cost me a fee every so many months. So I stopped keeping money in that account.
Then I got a phone call from a guy named David Stone, who had a middle eastern accent. He became obscene and vulgar with me so I said sue me.
He stopped calling for about 8 months. He called again a few days ago and left a return number so I called. The rest of the story is the same as the others.
First they said they were the federal credit bureau. Now its the California law group.
My idea is that they own this USA Cash Advance company, make it appear you have gotten a loan, never deposit the money and the begin harrassing collection practices.

I too got a call from these people. It struck that they had American names and spoke with an accent. I got a little freaked when they told me that I owed money from a payday loan company, in which I never applied for one. I was also struck that they had my personal information. When they told me that I had to pay $450.00 or I would get arrested and stand in front of a judge I had to agree. I am in the military and stuff like this happens to us in uniform. What do I do? I already paid a $100.00 to this place. Just by reading all this, I am upset and upalled that these foreigners using good american names trying to scam hard working americans.

California Law Group fraud of us cash payday loan

I also received phone calls from a guy calling himself ron williams on the first message then roger williams on his next phone call. He was rude and claimed to be associated with california law group. Same thing as the oter post i read said to pay some amount around $850 or the cops would be at my house tomorrow with the subpeona. He also stated that if i did go to court and could not prove that i did not take out this loan i would be responsible for the 8000 plus other thousands in fees. Truly believable seeing how i have a (pending divorce) vicious ex-wife who could have taken this loan out in my name. they had my social andbank account information i am informing NCIS aboard base because i want others military personell to be aware of this scam. my roommate is a lawyer and i immediately asked her to speak with him when he called me and he was informal she was calling him out on his improper proceedings and kept telling him how the legal system would actually work. the guy would not give me a phone number to call to inquire about this so called loan nor would he give me a date of so called loan from US CASH PAYDAY LOANS. The number he gave me to call him at was [protected]. Do not fall for this wish i could find a more affective means of informing others of this fraud.

I received a call last night from "Kevin Morgan" on my cell, from United Law referencing Allen Watson. Gave me case number PUX10143. Stated that I owed them $450.00, They had the last 4 digits of my ssn, they had my account number, employer, email and address and last 4 digits of my drivers license.
The worse part is, I believe them during previous calls as they had everything. I have done payroll advance in the past as I was going thru a divorce and was left paying all of our marital debt. They have taken over $1500.00 from my accounts.
My bank will only refund me what was done in the last 60days...which is only $210.00 nothing else.

I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, local police, and had to put a fraud block on my SSN, Drivers License and credit bureaus. They did the same scare tactics as all of you have listed below and I am a single mother who believe this to be true.

I have spent 5 hrs today and I am still not done...but one thing I did today...Kevin Morgan wanted me to fax my SSN, Drivers License and Card number with my acknowledgement of this not being intentional etc...instead I faxed them all of the evidence I found on the internet that this was a FRAUD and that I reported them to to the various bureaus etc..."Kevin Morgan" has now called me to threaten me that I will be in jail and be responsible for all sorts of legal fees now...bottom line is that they still have so much of my money!

Latest number for all this I have from last night: [protected] Kevin Morgan number and [protected] is the FAX number.

I am a recent victim of identity fraud and had MANY payday loans taken out with my information and was dealing with all kinds of payday loan companies and legal branches at local, state, and federal levels, then I get a call from California Law Group. At first I thought, "Oh great! Another one!" I proceeded in asking for the information on the phone that I needed to include in my legal reports, I knew something was wrong when they would give my account numbers, name of the original creditor, date of when the loan was opened/applied for or anything else. I told them that any further contact they needed regaurding my case would need to go to the detective handling my ID Fraud case, since then I haven't heard from them in days, where before it was numerous times a day everyday.

This company is a scam! We contacted them after recieving a notice that they could reduce our mortgage payments by half usually within 90 days. They told us to look them up on BBB and at the time, they were accredited and had an A+ rating. After numerous representatives later, HORRIBLE communication and a year gone by with our 2nd mortgage going up and...
