The check they issued was for $10 less than quoted
I sent them a used iMac. The check they issued was for $10 less than quoted because they claimed the keyboard and mouse did not work. They were in perfect working order when I shipped them and they were packed very carefully. I do not believe they weren't working when BuyMyTronics received them. The $10 isn't as important as the principle. (What's more, it took them almost 3 weeks to get my check to me after they said it was on its way. A minor issue, but...) I have used two of their competitors and have had much better experiences. I WILL NOT SELL ANYTHING TO THESE JOKERS AGAIN AND RECOMMEND YOU AVOID THEM. I prefer Gazelle. Second choice is NextWorth. AVOID BUYMYTRONICS.
Avoid like the plague
This site promises high payments for broken or unwanted electronics. the scam is that if you send them a decent phone or laptop that is just outdated or otherwise unwanted, they will inevitably find a reason to lower the quote that they gave you before you sent the item. if the change in quote is less than 25% then they will not even tell you or give you an opportunity to get the item back and go with an honest company, they will simply change the amount and send you your check. stay [protected]@!

Got a quote. Mailed my phone. Checked my status online daily for 3 WEEKS! FINALLY received a status of "Payment Pending". 2 weeks later, still waiting on a check. Thanks. Truly appreciate your promptness. Hire some people. Your site says "5 days". Right. Price quoted matched what the site says I will receive. Fantastic. If the check ever gets here. Do yourself a favor and use ebay.

BuyMyTronics is a scam! They lure you in with a high quote and then change the rules! I read through their website LINE BY LINE to ensure I accurately described my phone.
