This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

They advertise a "Free Sample". What is in the fine print is that this "Free Sample" will cost you $6.00 in shipping and handling (the initial charge) and another $69.95 after 14 days if you do not cancel your subscription. Oh yes, you are automatically subscribed to a renewal and your credit card is billed. The second charge of $69.95 will be refunded (so I am told) once they receive the un-opened bottle. However, the first $69.95 is gone. So, unless you carefully read the fine print of the offer this "Free Sample" will cost you $75.00. Definitely not worth it and I think a VERY deceptive way to offload a product which does NOTHING!

To Whom It May Concern:

I strongly suggest that Bromalite DISCONTINUE your practice of 'unauthorized charges' of $69.95 on those who simply are interested in trying your product through a trial offer. Although the customer service manager kindly posted legal language listed above, I believe fine print at the end of a screen/page to authorize future charges linked with a 'trial offer' is predatory selling. Further, it makes consumers highly suspicious of on-line transactions and your future marketing efforts exponentially more difficult.

Should I receive future notifications from REGNET, Bromalite, etc., it will immediately be DELETED.

Sincerely,
Carol

I admit I too was dupped but I did manage to get back at least two of the $69.95 charges to my credit card. It was not easy by any means but Bromalite did refund and cancel "my account". Buyers need to be aware we are easily scammed. We need to remember the old tried but true "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is" We need to be satisfied with our bodies or visit a medical doctor for advice and help. Trial offers should be more responsible in their advertising though and full disclosure should be up front and in LARGE PRINT not so tiny one must hunt for it and get a magnafying glass to read it. I don't understand how or why our credit card information is given to unauthorized companies that additionally charge us $19.95 for a service we know nothing about. This is totally wrong, immoral, and fraudulant. I do take responsibilty to a certain extent for wanting to get quick results for something that didn't happen overnight.

Please DON'T respond to the 800 number commercials on Radio & TV stations. They are ALL SCAMS in one way or another.
The Bromalite Scam is similar to the Acaiberry Scam.
If you REALLY want to try these products, why don’t you simply try the LOCAL STORES FIRST? More often than not, you can probably get the same or similar product LOCALLY.

Think about it, 70% of ALL SCAMS listed on Complaints Board, [redacted], My 3 cents.com, iRipoff .com and others, STARTED with a 800 number commercial you saw on TV or heard on the Radio. Now, what does that tell you about the so-called "truth in advertising" belief that a lot of Americans think about Radio & TV stations and the companies that advertise on them?

The other 30% of the SCAMS are related to the internet or spam emails. When are Americans going to wise up and quit being so GULLIBLE and TRUSTING? You would think some of them were BORN YESTERDAY, so to speak. Babies & children have a good excuse for being gullible and trusting, but adults DO NOT have an excuse, what-so-ever, especially of strangers or "a voice on the phone".

WISE UP AMERICA, YOUR WELL BEING DEPENDS ON IT. Why are we, as Americans, so damn stupid? It amazes me that some of these SCAMMERS are still breathing and living in their condos.

If you MUST respond to these commercials, USE a RE-LOADABLE, DISPOSABLE credit card with only enough money on it to pay for your initial purchase, no more than $10 or $20.00 more. You can keep your loses at a minimum that way. If you have more, they will keep hitting your card to get more and then just try to get a refund.

REMEMBER, the so-called "FREE TRIALS" are NOT free, they will charge you for 1 to 3 months supply of their CRAP, even BEFORE you get the free trial if you use a regular credit card. More often as not, they will also sign you up for another “FREE TRIAL” of some other product and you probably won’t realize they have done this until you get your credit card statement. Quite often, it is very hard, if not impossible, to get the bogus charges removed.

The Tax & Debt Reduction and Real Estate SCAMS for "pennies on the dollar" are especially cruel. The stories about them will break your heart. You WILL LOSE thousands of dollars on them. They are very convincing in their pitch to you. DO NOT believe ANY THING they Say, Claim, or Guarantee, above all, don't give your credit information.

Google their names before you even call them. Check out their reviews.

Please tell EVERYONE you know about these TV and RADIO commercial facts of life.

On Feb 6, 09 I've broused the web, and found these testimonies about Acai and bromalite products their effectiveness and the good results. So I decided to read the article in small print, but mealwhile I've that strong feeling about something wrong there for they advertized a free products for $499, please bear in mind they don't say $4.99 for a bottle, So decided to enrolled anyway, I've filled my name and address, even my phone number. my guts feeling mis-trusting these folks increased when they asked me for the credit card. at that point closed and log out, AND WENT HOME TO MY SURPRISED, THAT DAY THEY'VE CHARGED ME $499.00 TO MY PAY PAL CARD. I DID NOT PROVIDED THEM WITH ANY CREDIT CARD INFO. INMEDIATELTY I'VE CALLED PAY PAL AND FORMULATED A COMPLAINT. I'm not responsible for it for I did not place any order, nor authorized it.YES INDEED THE ARE A SCAM.

I had no problem getting a refund from this company. They were actually quite nice and agreeable. I didn't understand what I was signing up for when I requested the "free sample", and when I explained that to them, they immediately cancelled my membership and refunded my money.

I have yet to take any of this product, or the Acai berry, because my doctor said "H--- no!" I called to cancell any further orders and was treated kindly, and was told no further charges were lodged. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

That's not the case at all. Bromalite is constantly busy dealing with people who are trying to get a product for free and then complaining when they didn't read the terms and conditions. You can't blame a company that's trying to make money.

I do agree with you that it's a ripoff, but not a scam. If you people want to lose weight, diet and exercise, if you want to "cleanse your colon", go to a doctor.

You don't' have to follow those steps, Bromalite could care less if the call is being recorded, they are NOT responsible for refunding you your money, it's a courtesy! YOU signed a legal contract and it's NOT the customer service representitive's problem that you all don't read what you sign!

Hello All,

Yes it is imperative that you read the fine print with this company. Essentially you have 15 days to cancel to be on the safe side at [protected], in addition the company automatically enrolls you in a Fit factory on-line program for an additional monthly charge of 19.95. Again you will need to cancel immediately to avoid charges, and Yes this is a different company and they can be contacted at [protected]. Please write down the cancellation number and employees name that assisted you as well as the date. This is a total scam and should be removed from the market. Remember the old saying, " If it sounds to good to true, it is". Good Luck

It's not until AFTER you order the free trial for $4.95 that YOU, yourself have to look into the terms and agreement. I called and submitted an online request for cancellation within the "3-days" stated to cancel the trial offer. I have yet to recieve a call back or be credited. This transaction was on 12/30. Then on 12/30 I was also charged $34.95 from a place called "WuYi Pixie Tea." Did anyone else get charged from this place after ordering from Bromalite? I've never heard of this place nor less ordered anything from them. I've tried calling countless of times holding on for up to 90 minutes - either to be disconnected or I just have chosen the option to leave a voice mail msg for a cs rep to call back. No one has called back and I have not been credited a penny from either place. Then as luck would have it I have yet another charge from an unknown company - 1/20/09 $29.95 from fit-fac.com? THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED.

I have spent over three hours in the past three days trying to call and cancel the extras on the "terms and conditions" page. After waiting for 30 minutes I finally left a message on the [protected] number. I told them I wanted to cancel any billing and product agreement. I also had my debt card cancelled so no charges could incur at a later date! I figure my message is as good as these hidden charges. This has been a great lesson...never sign up for FREE stuff! We all need to read directions before putting the credit card # on ANYTHING! Happy New Year. John.

I also fell prey to this, but I was able to stop everything. I called [protected] music for a long time then a recording that says they are having phone trouble and high call volume why not send us an email. I held then after 20 min line went quite with a few clicking sounds, I was still connected so I stayed on line and after 5 min or pure silence someone answered. I told her all I wanted was my free sample and wanted to unsucribe and did not want any more shipments or my card charged got a confirm and will have to see. With this comes a free fit website, Fit Factory. They also have mine and your cc number and will charge you 20 a month if you do not cancel. Call [protected] and tell them you want to unsuscribe. This call was much shorter 4 min total. And if you are like me you also fell for the Acia fruity thing. Same thing here call [protected] and tell them that you don't want any future shipments and no more charges on your credit card. Get a confirm number and the name of who you talk to. Supposidly I will get free samples and no more charges. Stopped all of it on day 2. I will keep you posted if it becomes a nightmare.

Note to self...no free trial is ever FREE

I guess I was lucky my credit card company called me the day after I ordered and told me to cancel my card as they are watching them for fraud. Thank heavens they are watcing out for me. I to have about 5 different phone numbers for them and have been trying for three days about 10 times a day. After about 10 minutes on hold they disconnect you. I was charged 34.95 and did receive the product plus some tea stuff, but I did not order this. Our only recoarse is REG.net at [protected], they are the company that collected the money on my credit card. By the way I ordered Total Cleanse but received Bromalite..they are all frauds.

I am having the same problem with the charge however i have sat on hold for over 2 hours total. with no one answsering the phone. I have emailed them at least 10 times and not received one response. Did you ever get your refund? They do not supply a return address to send the product to which I believe is illegal.

I wish I would have read these complaints before I order the free trail, which does not seem to turn out so free. I am now in the hole $162.94 from this company. If you have ordered from them I would suggest you cancel your card and get a new one right away. They would do nothing to help me and my bank is helping much either at this point. Never again.

WOW! How Ironic. I was checking my bank account statment online today and noticed the EXACT SAME CHARGE! I am on the line with my bank now. If this any indication of the company's business practices, what must this say about the product? I havent tried mine yet but...it makes me leary. The bank just gave me a phone number to Bromalite. I'll see what happens but right now I can tell you that I am LIVID!

Get ready, because that one charge is not all you'll get- I've been getting mystery charges on my credit card- fit catory, 1email offer, Pricelimbo, acai berry... hundreds of unauthorised dollars a month. And the credit card company won't do a thing because you agreed to the terms and conditions. I have no idea how to get out of this mess!

I agree---had a horrible time trying to cancell. If you call [protected] it just rings after 4 minutes I hung up on 5 different calls. If you call [protected], that's the marketing number, they can take orders but can't cancell, you need to go to the manufacturer to cancel. So when you call that line [protected] it's a run around, automatic voice comes on states someone will be with you shortley etc. I called that number 3 different times, I held for 8 minutes, 5 minutes and the last time I called over 12 minutes.
My credit card company is now handling the dispute. I will also write to the company to cancel. I will also report this company to the proper authorities.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR----DON'T SEND FOR THE FREE TRAIL OFFER!

TO ME IT'S A SCAM!

Hi Barb,
I also ordered a free trial of Bromalite, and unfortunately I read your complaint right AFTER I ordered it. I was surfing for information on the product, when I came across your complaint. I found the information below, on how to cancel the membership you and I unwittingly signed up for. It won't help you with the current charge on your card, but maybe you can prevent future charges. Hope this helps.

"By agreeing to the terms of the Agreement, customer automatically receives 14-day trial to the Program. customer has 14 days to try the Program and decide whether to accept the Program full-time. Prior to the expiration of the 14-day trial period, customer may cancel its subscription by calling Bromalite’s toll-free number at [protected] or writing to Bromalite, 16192 Coastal Highway Lewes, DE 19958. Should customer fail to cancel its subscription, its Subscription with Bromalite will become active and customer will be billed $69.95 on the 16th day after its trial begins and every month thereafter. If customer’s payment is not submitted either by credit card or check within 30 days of the due date, customer’s Bromalite Supply will be suspended. If customer wishes to cancel and not be billed, customer must call [protected] or write to Bromalite, 16192 Coastal Highway Lewes, DE 19958. customer also agrees to monthly billing. customer expressly agrees to honor all charges and fees due. I also understand that I will enjoy a monthly membership to FitFactory where i can track my weight loss and get diet advice for a monthly fee of $19.95 per month billed on the fifteenth day unless I cancell by calling [protected]."
