They advertise a "Free Sample". What is in the fine print is that this "Free Sample" will cost you $6.00 in shipping and handling (the initial charge) and another $69.95 after 14 days if you do not cancel your subscription. Oh yes, you are automatically subscribed to a renewal and your credit card is billed. The second charge of $69.95 will be refunded (so I am told) once they receive the un-opened bottle. However, the first $69.95 is gone. So, unless you carefully read the fine print of the offer this "Free Sample" will cost you $75.00. Definitely not worth it and I think a VERY deceptive way to offload a product which does NOTHING!

I also ordered the free trial & was charged $4.95 for S&H. Today they are putting through a charge for $69.95 for something I didn't order. I did find a telephone number to contact them that actually works. It is [protected].

An unauthorized charge of $69.95 was charged to my checking account on 11/10/08. I spoke to someone at Bromalite and she reluctantly agreed to reverse the charges. It is now 12/03/08 and the charge has not been reversed. I would like this charge reversed immediately. I also intend to contact the media, AOL, and all other promoters of this products regarding this scam.

Do not order from this company. I order a free trail, which did not turn out to be so free. I have since had charges to my account totaling $162.94. I have contacted the company, the refuse to reverse the charges. What a scam. There was no indication that I could find that there would be futher charges to me account.

I ordered a free sample ($4.95 for shipping) of Bromalite and the next month received a charge for $19.95 from FIT-FAC.COM in LasVegas, NV and $69.95 charge from Bromalite. That totals $94.85 for this "free" sample. I have had the $19.95 removed from my charge, but cannot reach Bromalite by phone or e-mail. I feel they are guilty of fraudulant and deceptive practices and intend to pursue this.

I have unauthorized charges for a supplement I did not receive. I have been unable to reach anyone by phone because either their lines are tied up with heavy call volume or the recording comes on that their office is closed. I have sent e-mails but have not had any response. I ordered the so-called free sample and received it, but I have not received anything else, yet my credit card has been charged.

If you have read any of the complaints up to this point, add mine to the list. DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER FOR THE FREE TRIAL. By submitting your order, you are agreeing to charges for another bottle on the 15th day after your order $34.95, a diet help subscription for $19.95 and a new shipment for $69.95 on the 16th day. READ THE FINE PRINT at the very least, or you will be paying for it later. NOTHING IS EVER FREE...remember that! I hope this helps some other sucker...

Bromalite is a rip off. I had placed an order for a trial supply of the diet supplement and was charged $69.95 twice and still have not received the order. I have been calling for the last 15 days and I have not gotten thru to anyone. When you get thru you are placed on hold. An operator will tell you to hold and then he will tell you to leave a message or go to the webpage that is out of service.

I ordered a free trial for shipping of $4.95 I am now being billed $69.95 monthly unless I call to cancel, I have been calling the number on line of [protected] and the phone never rings or I don't get a message or anything. How do I cancel these monthly charges if I can't reach the company?

I ordered the trial supply of Bromalite. I did not like the results, and was to be able to cancel the trial within 15 days. I placed the order on Dec. 3, 2008, and received the product on the 13th. I started trying to contact them on the 20th with no results. Placed on hold forever, left two messages to call me back, and no response. I finally left them a message to cancel the trial. They charged $69.99 to my account on the 22nd. Not only that, I was also charged $19.95 for a monthly membership to FitFactory where "I can track my weight loss and get diet advice", unless I call and cancel within 20 days. This is apparently in small print, and I was not aware of this. My bank is in the process of recovering the $69.99 from Bromalite, however said that I am not able to dispute the FitFactory, since it is on the Bromalite agreement. I had to cancel my debit card to make sure that nothing else would be charged. What a rip-off. It's sad when a company can get away with a scam like this.

I was suprised to see a charge for $69.95 from Bromalite on my credit card statement. Earlier I had ordered the 30 day trial over the phone and knew that I would be charged for shipping costs. At the same time I ordered the free trial, the operator asked if I wanted to also sign up for a service that would monitor my weight loss. I declined.
There was a phone number with the unathorized charge on my statement and I tried to call them repeatedly, but got a busy signal. I googled the name and was directed to their website. On the website, I saw the terms and conditions that went with the free trial. There was no mention of any of the terms and conditions when I placed my free trial order with the operator.
The terms stated the trial was for 14 days and after that I would automatically be billed for ongoing shipments unless I called and cancelled. It also said I would be signed up for the weight monitoring program automatically unless I called to cancel.
Because I still could not get through to the Bromalite line, I called the Fit number and got a number. I asked them to check to see if I had been signed up for their service. They checked, and said they say I had called to cancel the order earlier. I had never placed the order, so it must have been cancelled by the Bromalite contact when they took the order. Anyway, I got a confirmation number verifying the cancellation.
I tried again repeatedly to contact Bromalite and finally got through to a recording, which said because of heavy volume there would be about a ten minute wait. It indicated I could go to a website www.verifyyourorder.com if I was calling to cancel an order. I placed the call on hold and went to the website. I entered the order number from the free trial and my email, and was directed to a page with the information that allowed me to cancel the order. It was not clear to me how the charge for $69.95 would be taken off of my credit card, so I waited to talk with a Bromalite operator.
I got Scott, who was very helpful. I told him I had cancelled on line, but wanted to verify my credit card refund. He gave me a cancellation number for the product and confirmation of the refund, and told me it should come off of my card in 10 - 12 days. I told him I'd not opened the trial and was prepared to return it, but he said that wasn't necessary.
The product might be good, but their business practices are shady. I'm going to throw it away and not deal with this company again.

After ordering a FREE trial of Bromalite, I was charged to my debit card not once but TWICE for product I DID NOT ORDER or authorize. And, I never even received any more product even after the first charge. I contacted the phone # on the website. After a long wait and a heated conversation with ADAM, I was told all charges were to be refunded within 12 days. CONSUMER BEWARE...Also, this product DID NOT WORK for me. It's a scam!

This company charged me 69.95 to my account without me authorizing. All I wanted was a free trial that they say you only pay 4.95 for shipping and handling. I did receive the free trial but a couple of weeks later there is a charge to my bank account. I will be taking this further even if it takes it all the way to the FEDS... This is a scam, I just called the company and a lady answered saying to call her back in a hour that her system was down...

One day I received a package in the mail, I opened it and it was a product called Bromalite, which is a colon cleanser; while I have been on some diet sites, I did not sign up for this stuff. They have my credit card number and every month I get a charge of $74.85 for product I have not received except for the one months ago and I have to call and dispute the charge; they use a company called reg.net to do their web billing which has other companies I have used in the past to issue the charge on my credit card and it is listed as software. This is fraud. I have my credit card company looking into revoking the vendor rights but for now, every month I have to dispute the charge.

I have called both phone numbers listed in the tiny fine print on their sight and both are out of service numbers.

If you shop on line or visit diet sights, check you credit card statements closely.

Recently applied online for a colon cleanser product by Bromalite
was to only pay s&h for $4.95 as a trial purchase. As I was checking
my account I noticed an additional charge of $34.95 and was highly
offended. Tried several times to contact customer service only to be
told repeatedly that their computers were down at the time. Finally,
I was able to receive a liver customer service representative and informed them that I wanted all products attached cancelled and
not to further charges my account for anything. Also the trial order
that was supposedly purchased I have not received yet.. It has been
just about two weeks. How can these people take what does not belong
to them. I wanted to gain good health and loose toxins from my body,
not gain a thief and loose finances.

Bromalite charged my bank card twice without my knowledge or permission. I signed up for their free 30 day sample and used my card to pay for $4.99 shipping. I never received the sample, but the money was charged for the shipping, and so I called them and they said I was not in their system and they couldn't help me and hung up on me. The bank got my shipping charges back for me. Then a week later, I saw two more charges for 87.00 and 89.00 on my account, and another charge pending. I have not ordered anything else from this company. I called the bank and the bank said a lot of other people are having the same unauthorized charges on their accounts from this company. I had to have my card replaced and overage charges removed.

I went on bromalite.com for the, so-called 'free trial' offer. Well, over 2 weeks l;ate I was charged $69.95 to my bank account. Their web page is very misleading! All of this information is written on the bottom of their page. It is sooo small, you need a magnifying glass to read it. All I want is my $69.95 back.

Ordered trial of Bromalite on 1/29/09 and found out about the scam on Feb.1. Of course the amount of 4.95 shipping has been drafted and also a charge of 34.95. I have yet to receive the product and when or if I do I am returning it immediately. I have blocked by credit card and ordered a new one. My bank is helping take care of the unauthorized charges. I also went to the Bromolite website (because when I called 41 people were waiting ahead of my call)and when I went to cancel a representative of the company popped up in an instant message box and started a conversation with me. I told her I wanted to cancel and she said my account was cancelled. I have printed out the conversation with her. I have also went to www.verifyyourorder.com and it says my order has been cancelled.

So, hopefully, blocking or cancelling my credit card at my bank will take care of any further transactions. I'm very thankful that I decided to look further into this product three days after ordering it.

I would like to see some action taken towards this company. There are definitely enough people reporting the scam. I am keeping my records and am going to see how further action could be taken on this.

I ordered a sample of Bromalite for $4.95 and it arrived on the 5th of January, 2009. I had 14 FULL days to cancel future shipments before they would bill and ship a new shipment. I called and canceled on the 9th of January, 2009. The next day I saw on the internet that they billed me for $69.95. I called again and they said, 'yes, they had canceled me and I would get a refund in approximately 30 days'. I asked her why they had billed me for a new shipment before the 14 day trial period ran out. She stated she did not know but assured me that I would get the full $69.95 refund within 30 days. We will see...

I, too was one of those Naive people surfing the web and seeing all these great stories about using the ACAI berry and Bromalite together. So I decided to give the free trial a try. This was on 1/26/09. Within about 5 minutes, I was already regretting my decision, so I called the number (imagine that, I had an e-mail from the fitfactory.com?, what's that all about) on a website I was directed to from my e-mail. I called the number and spoke with someone named POM, who wanted me to go to fitfactory.com and see all the great features it had to offer! I finally told him I had looked, and I wanted to cancel everything. He gave me FOUR confirmation codes, one for Acai, one for Fit Factory.com, one for something called Cost Smasher, and another for the "supplement." I didn't even want the free trial at this point. But, a few days later I got it anyway and the S&H were charged to my account.

Stupid me, I thought the "supplement" they referred to was the Bromalite. Much to my dismay on 2/27 when I saw a pending charge for $74.85 from DRI*REG for the Bromalite. I went online to my bank account and disputed the charge electronically, and have also faxed in a formal dispute. Lo and behold, yesterday I received another bottle of that dreaded Bromalite.

I just called the [protected] number and spoke with "Jessica" after about 5 minutes on hold. Of course, when I told her the confirmation code, she said that's not the type of codes they used, so she didn't know where I cancelled previously. She told me that she went ahead and cancelled the 2nd charge for $69.99 (what? I don't even know about this yet) and it will take 8-10 business days for the refund (she gave me a 5 digit confirmation code comprised of letters and numbers). She also said that if I return the Bromalite (just write "return to sender" on the package, but slip a note in there with your info) and request a refund, along with your name and e-mail address, they will process it and your refund will be available in 8-10 days. I'll believe it when I see it. Oh, they also charge certain states sales tax, like Georgia, which is why my charge was $74.85, not $69.99.

When I ordered this free trial product online I was understanding that the product I ordered was an acaiberry product. When I received it there was no acaiberry in the product, also it was a totally different bottle then what was pictured. I went ahead and took the product for about a week and noticed nothing other than an increased appitite. So I decided to look up this Bromalite that I received and I found all these reports of getting charged $69.95 to their accounts. When I called the company. They tell me my account has already been charged $69.95 and asked if I received the product in which I was charged for. I tell them that I haven't so they say they will reimburse the charges and gave me two numbers, conf#9A9E8 and a cancellation # 5D99F. I don't know what will happen but I will let you know.

I join the chorus of complainers about the Bromalite rip off. 5 months ago, I was interested in trying their product, which I ordered from their website with no other alternative than trying it for free. In fact I never tried it because limiting my food intake was all I needed to shed unwanted pounds. When they called me to check on my interest in the product, I told them I no longer was interested. Two weeks later, I started being billed and receiving their product in spite of my declaration. I then called them, asking them to withdraw me from their list; they seemed to listen and gave me a cancelation number . However, I received their unwanted Bromalite the next month; because of them, I changed the number on my Visa card one month ago; well, guess what? today, 12th of May, I received another package from them, and I see that they billed it on another card of mine!
How can I get rid of these crooks? Anyone knows? I'll go and sue them if I have too.

Ordered free trial bottle with shipping, send letter out right away after hearing how they rip people off, to cancel my order, thought it was taken care of, and weeks later had a charge of 69.95 taken out of my checking. I ordered free trial of bromalite and paid the $4 shipping charges. I completely read their disclaimer several times and the day I received the product I called and emailed and canceled my order. Two weeks later I get a charge of 29.95 for a life and fitness program. I called the number and it was thru Bromalite. They said that when you ordered their product you are automatically enrolled in this program. They told me they sent me an email telling me this. I went thru every email I had and there was nothing. This is a scam! Even if u cancel the Bromalite subscription and you are lucky enough to not get charged for that, they get u somewhere. They would not give me my money back. The product sucks and doesnt work at all. DO NOT GET THIS! It is a scam! Nothing is free! If u did try and it and got scammed also post a complaint. Let everyone know what they are doing.

I ordered a trial sample of Bromalite Cleanse and was to be billed 4.95 for shipping only. I rec'd an additional product and was billed for that as well.

Now an unauthorized charge of 69.95 from the same group is pending in my account. My bank has now blocked all future transactions from this group.

However, I still need to clear up the unauthorized 69.95.

Hello, Michelle
Sorry, but you are NOT telling the truth. I called this number tonight,
and they WILL NOT assist! This is May 19th, I ordered the FREE
bottle April 30th, and I was told TOO BAD. I've been charged for two
bottles, including the FREE one, and a membership to another site
I didn't sign up for. I was charged twice for the shipping of the first
bottle also, and I was told I get no refund for that either.
Be honest here! People are getting ripped off for heaven's sake!

I read the fine print. I cancelled my order the day after I placed it to make sure I liked it before I was billed for it. I cancelled online @ verifyyourorder.com and got the pop-up window from Jenny and got a confirmation #. I was still billed $69.95 today on my credit card. I called and spoke to Adam who told me my account was still active and he would cancel it and refund my money but it would take 5-12 days. That is not acceptable.

Bromalite charged me the initial $4.95 and it took almost 2 weeks to receive the product. There was NO paperwork or contact information with the product. By that time they already charged me the first $69.95 without my consent. When I saw the charge 2 weeks later on my statement, I called to get that charge removed and they said they did, but what they didn't tell me is that they had already (that same day) charged me ANOTHER $69.95. When I later saw the second charge, I called again and they refused to remove it because they said they already did when I called the first time. The FIRST charge for $69.95 was never removed and the phone reps can only reverse the most recent charge. I even spoke with a supervisor who was very rude and continued to refuse to remove any more charges.

On their website they claim in big letters "30 day risk free trial", but they do not honor it, instead they refer you to the fine print at the bottom where it says you will be charged $69.95 12 days from the day you "sign up"... well, you don't get the product before then and if you do, there's not enough time to decide whether you like it or not. They just go ahead and charge you $69.95 and then another 2 weeks later, you get another charge for $69.95.

I called the other customer service number as well [protected] and was told that they will "forward my request to another department, but it may take a month before I see any response"... I didn't believe any of this.

I filed a dispute through my credit card company and I also filed a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission - Consumer Protection section). I was told that this company is being investigated.

Any advice I can give would be:

* Don't stop calling them. Call all their customer service numbers, speak to supervisors.
* File a dispute through your credit card company (I was told the credit card companies already has this company flagged as a fraud)
* File a complaint with the FTC so that the FEDS will get involved. The more people complain, the better.

Here is the link to the FTC complaint form online.
