I was charged 69.99 to my card without my consent or knowing about it

I was charged for Dri Bromalite in the amount of $69.99 for which I did not give consent to. I cannot get in touch with the company as no one answers the phone number my bank provided me with.
Why do people have to lie about no "checking the box"? The company CAN NOT process your credit card information WITHOUT your consent.
Just admit to your mistake and move on!
YOU DIDN'T read what you signed! We all know that you're just too embarrassed to admit that!

That's not the case at all. Bromalite is constantly busy dealing with people who are trying to get a product for free and then complaining when they didn't read the terms and conditions. You can't blame a company that's trying to make money.
I do agree with you that it's a ripoff, but not a scam. If you people want to lose weight, diet and exercise, if you want to "cleanse your colon", go to a doctor.
You don't' have to follow those steps, Bromalite could care less if the call is being recorded, they are NOT responsible for refunding you your money, it's a courtesy! YOU signed a legal contract and it's NOT the customer service representitive's problem that you all don't read what you sign!

Hi, I too ordered the product but i used my Print Screen button and saved the online info to my pc and in the fine small print it stated: that the 4.95 is for shipping and after 14 day free trial if we didnt call to cancel and send back unused pills then they would charge 69.95 for the 30 day supply bottle. If we did nothing then they would 30 days later mail us another bottle and charge us 69.95 again (Autoship) also the fine print states that we are signed up for Fit Factory website and after 21 days they would be charging our card 29.95 monthly for their services. So here are the numbers to call and cancel your acounts to stop the autoships and the website. Bromalite: [protected] and Fit Factory [protected]

I, for one, was never asked to check a box to agree to terms and conditions. This company is a HUGE scam. When I called to cancel, the sales rep tried to sign me up for two more monthly programs and refused to cancel my original order until it was shipped. Well, it has been a week and it is still not here. And, it needs to be cancelled and returned within 14 days. A 14 day free trial should be FREE. How are you supposed to evaluate it for 14 days and still be able to get out of the agreement if you have to have it shipped to you and back to them within 14 days?!? They are in partnership with ACAI, which also gives you 14 days to "try" their product. Nowhere on their site was I able to check a box stating that I had read terms and conditons. Granted, it is my fault for not scrolling way down to the bottom to see "terms and conditons" and my fault for not reading them. If I had, I NEVER WOULD HAVE ORDERED THEIR SO-CALLED FREE TRIAL.

Thanks for this site and the comments. Just got my credit card statement and saw this charge for 69.95 which I surely didn't expect. I called the [protected] number and it was answered immediately. I was asked if I read the fine print (which obviously I hadn't) but was offered a credit without any hassle at all. I was given a confirmation # as well. I'll watch my statements online to verify that I do get it.

I too, was just screwed by Bromalite. This is a huge scam ! Everyone, please contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attourny General. I can't believe a company would go this low ! We should all get together and form a class action lawsuit against these SOB's. That would teach them and other companies a damn lesson. Also email Oprah. She needs to anounce this on air and apologize.

I am usually pretty consumer savvy but not this time, not only did I miss the fine print but I fell hook line and sinker for this scam. I was in shock when I saw the $69.95 charge! I had only authorized the $4.95 shipping.
I was livid to say the least! I did not authorize enrollment into the FitFactory nor did I want to continue in the Bromalite program!
I called the FitFactory, spoke to one of their Customer Care Reps got disenrolled from their program only after threatening to report them to my state's Attorney General's Office as well as the Federal Trade Commission.
I called Bromalite was kept on hold for 10 minutes while their CCR had to figure out how to disenroll me from their program again after I threatened to report them to the state's Attorney General's Office and reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission.
The rep kept trying to tell me the terms and conditions were in the fine print and it was not a scam. I told her about this website along with all the complaints and I was sure the A.G.'s office would be very interested in their little scam. I was put on hold and with in minutes I had her name and two cancellation numbers. Now we shall see if I am refunded the money in 10-12 business days.

Ok look you big dumb oafs, why didn't you read the terms & conditions before you signed up. For 1 who in HELL gives their credit card information out without reading first. Thats just like you signing a contract without reading it DUHHHHH! So again I ask who tricked you? YOU DID! & another thing when ever you have to give your credit card number just to receive the product, then common sense would tell you that IT'S NOT FREE. Like that saying go's "NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE"

I agree Bromalite is a scam, I ordered the colon cleanse and then after my credit card went through found out that they had charged me an extra $34.95. Which everytime I clicked no Thanks it changed it to wanting the product. I checked my account found out that Bromalite charged $34.95 and $4.95 to my credit card. So went into the website to get the phone number to Bromalite and called the company immediately, and again like others I was on the phone trying to get through to this company for over 3 hours. I finally got through and was told that my order was cancelled, also found out that they connected me to Fit Factory had that cancelled, I have confirmation numbers for all the products, I was assured that my account would not be billed. Four days later the payment went through my account and the company was calling for shipping instructions, I informed them that I had cancelled my order not to ship the product. I received two calls like this I ordered the product on Jan 6th cancelled it with in three hours and on Jan 10th I am receiving calls to ship the product. On Monday Jan 19th I called the company for a credit back to my account which I did not know you had to ask for your money back I automatically assumed they would credit my account after I cancelled the product. They informed me that they would credit me back $34.95 but not the $4.95 due to shipping charges. I argued with them that I had not received this product, they stated it was delivered to my house on Jan 15th no note from the post office of any kind to pick anything up. So now they will not credit my $4.95 which is no big deal. So today Jan 22 I called the company back to find out where my credit is and was told it will take 7 to 14 business days before I see it in my account. I am livid over the way this company handles business it is a total scam and I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau and The Attorney General on this company.
Luckily when I ordered this product I found this website while I was looking for the phone number to Bromalite to get the $34.95 reversed and I cancelled my credit card on Jan 19th so this company could not do to me what it has done to other people. I am not out that much money but now it is the point that I have spent so much time on this that I want something done about this. I have many hours on the phone and stress caused from this company, my credit card account is all messed up due to these people. Hopefully someone will be able to shut this company down so it don't happen to other people.
I was also told by one of the customer service people at this company that the people on this website did not cancel their order in time and that is why they were being charge, I cancelled my order and I am still being charged or trying to get my money back.

SHUT UP ABOVE (JAMIE)! This is clearly a scam. It fishes the ignorant and gullible in and rips them off! I've spent my entire morning on the phone trying to cancel these subscriptions for my 59 year old mother so that the charges don't soak up her social security. Even though she didn't read the fine print, there should be no excuse to pay over 15x what she expected to pay! No excuse. She was buying health products, not porn or something ellicit. Thank God for this site and the humiliated people uniting under a common cause. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Disregard the customer rep posting on this website, as a matter of fact, DISREGARD ANYTHING BROMALITE...

Well, what I did (since I'm overly suspicious of possible scams, and THIS one really raised red flags) is to use a PREPAID Visa card. Not only that, but the card only had $5.00 on it to begin with! I'd like to SEE them deduct MORE out of it for future shipments! :)
But they (and ALL other companies) should be REQUIRED to put the negative things up FRONT! Such as the "15 Day" period in that one must call to cancel! Thats absolutely INSANE!
Also, trial periods should be changed by LAW in that they be switched around to say "if you DONT want future shipments, do NOTHING. As they will NOT be sent to you if not requested or customer service contacted! I bet their phones would NEVER ring if THAT happenned! After all, I thought business was about quality Customer Service and making consumers happy! Obviously not with THESE scams going on!

I also ordered the Bromalite and the Acai Berry. The night I placed the order, I went back to the site, read the fine print and call the # to cancel the same night. The rep told me that he could not cancel the order until it ws shipped and recvd. I told him that I just placed the order 5 mins ago, "DON'T SHIP IT', I DON'T WANT IT! First of all you don't get to try it for 14 days. If you read the print, the 14 day trial period begins the day you place the order. So you're not geting to try it for 14 day, it takes 5-7 days to get it in the mail. OK so you get to try it out for 7 days MAYBE! I tell this to the rep and he offers to discount the price down to $34.95 per bottle and extend the trial period an additional 14 days if I don't cancel. I ask this guy how can I be sure that the price will be discounted and the trial period extended. He says I'll give you my name and id#. I said OK, "what's your name", get this...STEVE SMITH, STEVE SMITH, the guy could barely SPEAK ENGLISH, I knew then it was some [censored]. It's true we should be more careful and read the fine print, but, if they were on the UP & UP it wouldn't be in the FINE PRINT it would be in bold print in the ad where you couldn't miss it. I think they should all go to jail for 5 years and be put on a "RED MEAT & CHEESE ONLY" diet and give them their own product SO WE CAN SEE IF IT REALLY WORKS!

I sure wish I'd seen this before ordering Bromalite because they got me too. After receiving a package from them yesterday (which I did not order) I went to check my credit card statement on-line. There were TWO charges for $69.95 and then a $19.95 charge from Fit-Fac. The lady with Fit-Fac was really nice when I called and immediately credited back the $19.95 and I had no problems reaching them at the phone number listed on my statement. To reach the Bromalite folks you need to call [protected]. That 866 number listed is a continuous busy signal. The email address is bromalite@verifyyourorder.com and their corporate office address is:
Once I finally reached a live person at the 800 number listed above they were only able to credit me one of the $69.95 charges which was for the package I received yesterday. I was told to write to the corporate office about the first $69.95 charge.
Good luck folks! This is a terrible way to conduct business and a very big lesson learned by me. There is no such thing as a $4.95 risk free trial.

I happend to stumble upon this site with all the Bromalite complaints only after I ordered and was charge for the "free" sample. I just now called my cedit card compnay and had the card cancelled with a new one issued. Of course I will have to change any authorized auto payments I had set up - but that will be easy compared to the agrevation others are going through trying to get a refund. At least Im only out 4.95. and those pilles are going right in the garbage.
A word of advise - don't even bother calling Bromalite - just cancell your credit card right now

this company is rediculous--the toll free number is a joke--i have been on hold for 15 minutes and all i get is a crappy recording. i hope they get turned into the FTC or some government agency that can shut this company down or hold them accountable. i think their goal is to get people to give up on holding and just take the charges.

They sure got me by surprise. I didnt read the fine print until a couple days later and only by chance! I called the 866 # and waited about 5 mins to speak with someone who said my account was cancelled but could only give a name and employee id. So I read on here and sent an email as well and cc: myself as well. Waiting to see if this works, worried that it wont be cancelled after reading some the posts above. As for the fit factory, they gave me a confirmation # and I got through to them at a seperate # listed in less than one minute. Be careful and read the fine print, I sure didnt!

What a disaster it turned it out to be after I decided to take advantage of the Bromalite Risk Free Trial. The company conducts its business in a fradulent manner and are taking advantage of people.
I wanted to try the product and placed an order on Friday December 19th, but after I went back to their website I saw their terms and conditions, which stated automatic shipments and membership with Fit Factory. I called their toll free number the same day to cancel and was on hold for 66 minutes but did not get to speak with anyone. The next day I called again but held again for another 32 minutes. No one would answer the phone so I decided to send an email to bromalite@verifyyourorder.com and asked to cancel any automatic shipments. A few days later, I did receive an email saying that my account was canceled and I called back on December 26 and finally was able to speak to a live representative who verfied that my account was canceled. I also had to call Fit Factory to cancel seperately. The number for Fit Factory is 866.407.1022. Please note that even if you cancel your Bromalite order, you still need to cancel Fit Factory.
They charged my account on December 22nd for $4.95 shipping and handling and the representative that I spoke with today said they sent me the 14 day free trial, but I will not recieve any further orders.

Well - me too. However I noticed the charges immediately. I called Fit-Fac and cancelled with no problem. Then I tackled Bromalite. They did answer after 5-10 minutes. I decided to keep the 1st month and asked that they not send any more after that since it was so expensive. She actually said she would give me up to 50% off! But after reading all y'alls comments and said I hadn't really noticed any difference and that I would take the next month's supply and then reevalute. She cooperated. So I am out $75.00 total but I will have had 2 months stuff. I call that a wash. The lesson is to read the fine print.

They refused me a refund. They said you have to cancel within 14 days of the order, NOT of receiving item.
I told them I had an allergic reaction and spent the last night in the hospital and that I have paper work. I told them I would post this on the site if I was not refunded. Needless to say, I did get a refund but I think people should be aware that this is potentially dangerous. I ended up very ill due to this stuff.

hi I'm in the UK and haven't managed to get hold of them - so far they haven't charged the $69 but it will be coming up soon but what they are doing is every week charging a small amount $4.95 (so far 3 charges are showing on my statement) but when i've tried cancelling the scheme through their "Verify your orders" site it says i don't have an account with them. If i dont' have an account why are they charging me? it doesn't make sense! I can't email them - no email address and their support email which i received after signing up for the free trial won't take replies. No phone number is working - i don't know what to do!

Just got off the phone with Bromalite...30 minute wait. They charged me 4.95 for each the bromalite and acai slim, then 14 days later, 69.95 and 79.95 and 5 days after that another 69.95 and 79.95. AND, I have 2 charges for 19.95 ea for www.fit-fac.com...haven't gotten in touch with them yet! They would only reverse the last charges. The first they claim was in the fine print and that this was the customers fault for not reading. My rep, Denisha was very nice and you could tell she probably deals with this crap all day. The manager on the other hand was a true "you know what". It's unfortunate because I liked the product. But I choose not to do business with company's that don't run their business with Integrity.
So here is some info I have compiled to make this easier on others since they don't include phone #s or return addresses on there shipments. RED FLAG!
Bromalite/Acai berry - [protected] - hold time is long...hang in there
www.fit-fac.com - [protected]
When they tell you they will not refund your "trial order", you can ask what step to take next and the manager told me I would have to write the company at:
PO Box 2003
Riverton UT 84065
I have also contacted Discover to do an official investigation. It should be illegal for company's to do this to other's. Deception, how do they live with themselves. Lesson learned...NO MORE "FREE TRIALS" AND MOST LIKELY NO MORE INTERNET PURCHASES UNLESS DEALING WITH REPUTABLE VENDORS.

Thanks for the heads up! I almost ordered and when I read the comments here and I went to their website I realized that they are just a scam. If it really worked they wouldn't have to try to rip people off with their fine print - the product would sell itself! It should be illegal to put in fine print that you are also ordering other things then what you think you are getting. Those of you who have been ripped off need to contact your credit card company immediately and get your money back that way. I got scammed like this a couple of months ago on Pedi-paws website and I got my money back once I called my credit card company.

Well I ordered the product on Nov. 17, 2008, to Canada. Still haven't received anything, was charged the shipping and handling. I sent a letter, and I phoned today and talked to a rep. She told me that she extended my trial offer because I was in canada, and I cancelled any future orders. Hopefully I will receive the one order, as I do wish to try it, and no more. I wish that I had done a little more research into this product and all of the complaints that are accompanied with the orders and the charges associated with it. BTY I did read the fine print and cancelled the fitfactory sub. right away. Hopefully its not a problem but she didn't give me a cancellation#.

I have never heard of this DRI Bromalite before now. I was checking my credit card statement, it said i owe $6.87 on one line, the next line it says i owe $68.24. I'm really pissed with this scam. My credit card company said i should charge them with fraud. I tried to call, but there was no answer. I called the [protected] and [protected]. No answer at either number.

I read the fine print, ordered my free sample and then immediately called the two numbers to cancel bromalite and fitfactory. I was able to get right through, the Bromalite rep offered to drop the price in half if I didn't cancel! So if you like the product you might be able to get a deal.

I received my products in the mail on Saturday, including the Bromalite and Acai products - I guess I fell for it, too. Glad I saw all of the complaints, I just cancelled my credit card and had them reissue a new one - pain in the a$%rse to contact all of the auto debit accounts, but at least I hope to avoid some of the fraud I've read about here. Good luck to all!

I have just read all of your e-mails and freaked out. So I called the number([protected]) I got a real live person who then extended my trial period 14 more days from today to try the product and cancel by Dec 7. She then lowered the price of the pills to $34.95 a month if I liked it. So I guess I will try and then cancel by the 7 of Dec. Good Luck Everyone

Just to let you know, I was reading more about Bromalite and came across this site. I am glad I did. I contacted the [protected] number and waited about 8 mins and told the lady that I wanted to cancel my trial subscription. She promptly read me my information regarding my account and gave me a cancellation number. I was into my 13th day of my trial. She also told me that I had to personally contact Fit Factory directly [protected] to cancel with them. Was pleased with my call over all, but I will wait to see what happens.
Good Luck to all!

Well...they got me, I received the power tea ...which I had not ordered .charge of 49.99$ .I didn't read carefully . I am just one of the desperate looking for a miracle to ''LOSE WEIGHT''. Cancelled my credit card not to have future charges. This time I've learned my lesson...no more purchases on-line even.Thx again to all of u who shared their insight on this company.
I agree, they will continue to charge your account, even WHEN you call them within the trial period! They told me the charges would be reversved! They are a fraud!
Why don't these people read the SMALL PRINT! Bromalite clearly explains what it's going to do in the Terms and Conditions! I say that people who put their credit card information online deserve to be ripped off! STOP TRYING TO GET SOMETHING FOR FREE! Cheapskates
i got charged for $69.99 for Bromalite, i called them and they said i supposed to call them within 14 days but i didn't even know i have to do call, so they charged me $69.99. Thats is sucks. So now no more free trial for me. Well i got charged for $19.95 for FitFactory, i don't even know who are they, i've called my bank but they can't do anything about it coz got charged on debit. i called the number but its not working number. Scammer s everywhere...Everyone be careful, i've learned the hard way.
Sorry there was a typo. The correct phone number is
[protected]

Oh ya, I also remembered that there is a company that is out also that is now working with online companies that block bad consumers, so is experian, they are doing it also. Soon lots of people wont even be able to buy online
Ya you up above JANE DOE your the real crook, buying stuff with the intention of not paying, I bet you do this with Blockbuster too and get 3 months of free movies and then steal them. Man read the terms, i did, and I love the product and it actually bulks up my stools and i fell a heck of alot better. I think you may really need it as much as you are constipated.
Love ya
Bromalite Corp
16192 Coastal Hwy
Lewes, Delaware 19954
RIP OFF RIP OFF LET ME SAY RIP OFF CHARGING YOUR DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD WITH OUT PERMISSION! NOBODY EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE TO HELP OR CANCEL THIS PRODUCT! CAN YOU SAY RIP OFF SCAMMERS! DO NOT DO IT! RIP OFF COMPANY!
I also got my "free" trial, but was charged $69.99 twice and got my seconded shipment. I was also signed up for fit-fac. I called the credit card and stopped payment on all three charges.
The phone number [protected] is no longe in use this morning . Is any one else haveing problems getting thru?
thankyou

THANKS FOR THE INFO. i AM AFFRAID TO ORDER DIRECT FROM THEM. iF ANYBODY WANT'S TO SELL ME THEIR EXTRA ACAI BERRY AND BROMOLITE I AM INTERESTED.
