BT Group British Telecom wasting my time

I recently moved into my new flat, part of a building that had been redeveloped from an old folks’ home. The move itself, delivery of new furniture, electrical goods etc. all went absolutely fine – until I had to deal with BT to get the phone connected. The building landlord assured me that all the necessary phone cabling was in place, it should just be a case of BT flicking the switch to connect the service. I rang BT and agreed an appointment for them to connect my phone line, and booked a day’s holiday off work for the arranged date. Needless to say, by late afternoon they still hadn’t turned up – so I called them only to be told that they’d had to cancel the appointment. It would have been nice if they’d told me! I was not best pleased, but arranged another appointment. Again, I booked a day off work. Once again, they’ve just cancelled the appointment – though at least this time they’ve had the decency to tell me, even if they did leave it until the night before they were supposed to turn up! The worst thing is, I know I’m going to have to pay a connection charge for this dreadful service – and on top of everything they keep trying to blame some company called Openreach … who I now understand are actually a part of BT! I want BT to compensate me for cancelled appointments and to improve the service they provide.

I have received a message from your end stating that "YOUR MOBILE NO. HAS WON Rs. 5, 00, 000 FROM BRITISH TELECOM PROMO 2011 UK". SO, I KINDLY REQUEST TO CLAIM MY PRIZE MONEY. AND IF THIS ALL IS A FAKE, I WILL BE LEFT WITH NO OPTION BUT TO LODGE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE DISCLAIMERS WHO HAVE SENT ME THIS MESSAGE.

Well no surprises here from BT. I was so fed up with BT and the total lack of service I received that i setup a BT complaints website that shares complaints. BT customers can help each other rather than reply on the poor customer service from BT. Shocking really! but i mailed many times regarding to get the claim.but the did not answer for me.

I put a call to talktalk my phone provider for severe crackling on the line which I believe was an outside line fault talktalk sent me a bt engineer who condemed my phone wiring and my answerphone after the engineer left I connected a brand new phone directly to the main socket with everything isolated and the fault persisted for two days and then suddenly cleared ( I think this proves there was an outside line fault) I think its disgracefull for bt to charge £99.99p callout fee to an oap.
