I received an email very similar to the ones listed above. I am sad that people fall for this, but one rule of thumb is, "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is..." Not to mention, I live in the United States and have never played the lottery in the U.K. or Ireland. I did visit Ireland one time, but I'm not even sure that I bought a scratch off ticket.

I've got the same mail and then i rang to the nr shown 'to organize payment', by voice that person wasnt born english speaker and had a bad command of english. then he told me they'll send me an email with information. there was: if you want to ge you winning with post transfer will cost £650, with bank transfer £850, express chq delivery £1200, so i sent them bank details (irreal) and told that they can take money out of my winning and put the rest of money in my bank account. Never had an answer for that, tried to ring that man Mark Ferguson(I was talking to him in start), his phone was switched off. So I just proved that all that is scam. And as I live in IRL for last few years, I can approve that there is no 11G on Lower Dorset street. You can check on your own like that, ask to take monuy of your winning, they'll dissapear.

I was scam too. I received the same e-mail. But I haven't paid anything, if this it's real; they should just send me the money. If is not real, well; then, they can seat and wait for my payment for the delivery. They probably have more chances of being hit by a bus, a pretty big British bus, than to get any money from me. Ni un solo peso!

Similarly to the scams mentioned above, I also received the scam Irish Lottery / courier company emails -via my yahoo address. (The emails contain spelling errors!)

After a series of emails, the courier company asks for money to insure the delivery of the winnings (see below).

The scammers also called me and left messages - they sounded African and clearly dodgy...
