HOTEL COMPLAINT

My name is Grazia Paoleri. I work in India for the Italian Non Governmental Organization CIAI, in partnership with several Indian NGOs. I’m in India specifically for the relief and rehabilitation Tsunami project. Periodically the colleagues come to India in order to supervise the activities. Also the representatives of the donor’s agencies come to India in order to attend the inaugurations or the special functions.

Usually I book the room in Breeze Hotel, Chennai, for my colleagues and for the guests. Always I use to send a request by e-mail for the rooms and for the taxi and the Breeze Hotel sends to me the confirmation. On 6 June 2007 arrived in India my colleague Graziella Teti. She is very important representative of my Organization.

The taxi drivers from the Breeze Hotel picked up her in the airport. She arrived at the Hotel, and the receptionist said to her that the room wasn’t available. The receptionist sent my colleague in the middle of the night to another hotel.

On 11 June 2007, four representatives of donor’s agency arrived from Italy in the middle of night. As usual, the taxi driver picked up their to the Breeze Hotel. When they arrived, the receptionist said that there were the 4 singles rooms for them. The receptionist sent them to another hotel. They paid 1000,00 Rupees for the taxi. I think that in the Breeze Hotel there is the policy of over booking.

By the way, I’m extremely thankful to Breeze, especially for the treatment for my donors. They will always have such “memories" about the visit in India. If any one wants to plan a holiday at Breeze, please keep off this place. I’m sending the same letter to the authorities.
