I have been eating this candy since I was a child (I am in my fifties now). I bought a 7oz. bag today at the grocery store and was surprised at the different texture and taste as well as size. This is NOT the recipe I remember enjoying...these are hard on the inside, the outside coating tastes different, and the overall size is much smaller. What is going on? I promise you that if you don't give the consumer the original recipe again, you will lose many fans of this candy. Please change back to the original recipe again! The new ones are so hard that I had to toss them in the garbage! Wasted money and upset consumers should not fair well with your company! You all have always had such a good reputation of providing quality candies to the consumer. I hope that you all will reconsider the current recipe and I don't understand the reasoning for the change in the first place!

It seems I am not the only one to notice the change in Maple Nut Goodies. They used to be one of my favorite candies, soft and chewy. The flavor is still good although the texture has changed. They are almost impossible to eat as they are so hard I'm afraid of breaking a tooth. I usually purchase them at Menards. Product code 7E15BB183 best buy date 02/12/2018. I do not believe they are stale but believe something has changed in the recipe to make them an inferior product. PLEASE go back to the original recipe that we all love!

We purchased a 4 oz package of maple nut goodies on 7/15/2017 they were not fresh trying it was like trying to eat rocks extremely stale even though the best by date on the package was January 23rd 2018. I just think that when you purchase a product well under its expiration date it should actually be a good product not stale. Most people are complaining these are stale. I think this is about the third bag I bought that sucks preety much as what everyone else discribes. I think the problem is yu have just plain out changed the way you ake them. a year or so ago when O had y forst bag I noticed that you had made the candy smaller. Ever since this change they has been aweful in every bag. I have been enjoying these for decades. Lot at all of the complaints and they are all about maple nut goods. Change the soze and the formula back to what they used to be. These are truely discuding now. Maybe you are making them in a different paalnt but they are nt the same size and and are hard. This bag now has the slimy coating that is a new complaint. Hire back the people that used to make these and fre all the people that changed them. My batch is supposed to be good through1/9/2018 batch unber 7d11bb183 sold at Walgreens, Very disgusted with your disgusting new type of maple nut cruddies.

I purchased a bag of Maple nut Goodies on July 12, 2017. The expiration date on the bag was 12/27/2017. The candy was stale. It has a slimy outer shell and very hard center. The candy was not any good. I would like to be refunded my $3.99. I returened the bag of candy to the store and they replaced it with the same candy. The new bag of candy was stale just like the first bag of candy.

I just bought a new bag of maple nut goodies at dollar general store the expiration date is 09/11/17 I'm guessing the store isn't stocking fresh ones. they are stale and I couldn't even bite into them they were that hard. I was very disappointed when I purchased the maple nut goodies, I buy them very often and never had any problem until today. Bought a bag on Sunday 07/16/2017 - expiration date 12/2018. The coating was slimey and slippery and falling off the candy. The candy itself was hard as a rock - this was a 20 ounce bag. These were just terrible. It was like they were old and stale, just awful. UPC on bag is [protected]

You could break your teeth trying to eat any of these and they belong in the trash.

Bought malted milk balls - don't even taste like Brach's malted milk balls.

I bought a bag of your Maple Nut Goodies last week and they were stale and hard. Also the icing was melted and soft. I was very disappointed because these are my favorite and the expiration date was even expired, it is 12/15/17.

I have never had any problem with your product but evidently the store where purchased at doesn't rotate their products or doesn't store them properly. It was purchased at a Family Dollar/Dollar General Store in Cincinnati, Ohio 45217 area.

I purchased my favorite Brach's candy, Maple Nut Goodies, from Walmart in Long Beach, Ca. What a disappointment!. The candy was hard, brittle and not very appealing (kind of grainy looking).. I remember the Maple Nut Goodies to be soft and chewy inside and the outer shell to be smooth and uniform shape. Have you changed the way you make the Maple Nut Goodies, or did I get a bad batch?

Bought a bag of maple nut goodies at dollar general store on national turnpike, Louisville ky was on our way to the drive in bcause we always get our snacks there before the movies was very disappointed... could not eat them at all..they were brick hard..never ever had an issue with brachs candy before..the expiration date was 11/27/2017..the code above the date was 7B27BB183.

Bought some Maple Nut Goodies yesterday and was so disappointed, when I bit, or rather tried to bite into my treat. I was met with the stalest candy I think I ever encountered in my life and I am 62, My splurge ended up being a big dud! All my wonderful memories of this candy as a child has been replaced with this STALE candy memory. I always thought of Brach's as a very reputable company and was really surprised to see so many complaints and them being about my treasured candy.

We bought a 20 OZ. bag of Brach's Maple Nut Goodies for $3.69 at Menard's in Cherryvalley, IL on June 17, 2017. They are not refresh----hard and almost broke my tooth. They sure aren't like what I remember them from years past. You have a freshness guarantee, so I thought I would let you know. Even though the stamped date shows:

I purchased 3, 4 ounce bag of Maplenut goodies at the Dollar General store in Edmonton Kentucky yesterday. The expiration date is January 9, 2018. They were all stuck together and melted. They were very gooey and hard to eat. They also tasted stale. I went back into the store to purchase more but the other bags all felt the same way.

I just bought a bag of Maple Nut Goodies, a treat to myself every now and then because I try not to overindulge too much. However, when I do- my husband knows, to bring a bag from the store to surprise me with these candies. They are also my dad's favorite! However, when I tried to bite into one- I noticed that they were very hard! The outer maple coating had changed too. Please change it back. I thought I had bought an expired package. I do hope I can receive some sort of answer or feedback as to what the Brach brand has decided to do. thanks, Amy

On July 11th I purchased a 20 oz. bag of Maple nut goodies from a local Menards store. Upon opening them up and tasting them I really believe they are very old and have been sitting on the shelf for quite some time. They were very hard to bite into and the outside seems like it was melting. The bar code on the bag is [protected]. The Best by date is 02/12/2018. I am sending the email because I saw the guarantee label on the back and just thought you should know about it. I would just like to have a full refund for my purchase. Thanks so much for your time.

On july 8, 2017 I purchased a 20oz bag of maple
Nut goodie from menards. When I arrived home and attempted to eat them. They were as hard as bricks. I was unable to eat them, and wasted my hard earned money. This is the third time this has happen to me. Freshness is not guaranteed. I would appreciate it if this was made good. If not I will not buy this product again as it is not edible.

Just purchased a 4 oz bag of Maple Nut Goodies today July 10, 2017 about 4:30 time now is 5:14. I just opened this bag and this is the worst I have ever tried to eat. They taste stale and hard as a brick. I am 52 years old and have eaten this candy all my life but if this is the quality Brach's intends to produce from now on I will not purchase anything else. I only spent $1.00 plus tax but if enough $1.00 are not spent buying Brach's products they may get the message.

I bought the 14 oz bag of Maple Nut Goodies on July 3rd, 2017 at the Wal-Mart in Massillon Ohio. I opened the bag the very next day, and they were as hard as a rock. I couldn't even eat them because you couldn't even chew them. The bag says that they are supposed to be good until February 2018 and I opened them on July 4th, 2017, the very next day after buying them. It was very disappointing. 😞

We have purchased several packages of the Maple Nut Goodies at Menard and they are soft on the outside and extremely hard in the center. We like the flavor but not the very hard centers.

I purchased 6- 4oz bags of Brach's Maple Nut Goodies from Freds Dollar Store on July 8, 2017. Product code #[protected]. Each bag is labeled with code 6L22BB182. Best by 09/21/2017. The caramel is soft and greasy while the nut portion is like a piece of gravel. These are totally uneditible and not up to the standard of the Brach's Maple Nut Candies I have enjoyed throughout the years. I paid a $1.00 per package plus tax for a total of $6.56. Please refund this amount or replace product with good merchandise. I will be glad to return the 6 packages to you if you will provide a prepaid U.P.S. shipping label or some other means to return them to you at your expense. Please acknowledge with a reference number as soon as possible.
