I typically do not pay much attention to these websites.
I will simply state that you do not want to do business with Bowen in the Savannah neighborhood.
We gave up on our deal after signing 2 different contracts on 2 different lots. Their preferred lender "Prime Lending" took 2weeks to give us erroneous #'s. They then allowed us to try their other lender which they failed to tell is a high risk lender, thus higher interest rates. (we are not high risk credit threats - have 730 beacon score) If you do not use their lender you lose 5k in incentive monies. I tried for 2 weeks to contact our salesperson and could not get a returned call. Was told "I never received any voicemails". They try to pull "bait & switch" on incentives & certain "specials" as well as options at no charge one day and then oh yes, that is extra the next day. Yes even after you have a contract. TAKE A REALTOR WITH YOU IF YOU ARE SMART! I Was not. Sales staff is not very knowledgeable about their own product & programs.
If you contact the regional office, good luck with them returning calls as well. I had to call Atlanta before I couldn get any kind of response. They were able to get the regional manager to email me. His remarks were snide and unproffesional at best. Instead of actually trying to hear or understand what I was trying to tell him, he seemed more concerned with letting me know that they were doing very well in sales at this point, they were soon to have another price increase and good luck in finding a builder.
My are'nt they full of themselves!

You do not want to buy a new Bowen Family Home. I have purchased 3 homes in my lifetime. None were easy but only Bowen Family Homes made the experience a horrible one. Poor customer service, hundreds of items both minor and major not completed by closing and were forced to close on an unfinished home due to threats from the builder and their salespeople that we would be sued if we did not close on time. FU Bowen Family Homes. Please stop by my blog and leave your complaint in the comments as well. The more visible these complaints the better. If we stop one person from buying from Bowen Family Homes we have done something good. http://brianm94.wordpress.com

One word sums Bowen Family Homes up ---- DISASTER! Service is terrible! DO NOT purchase a newly constructed BFH. Everyone lies just to get you in the home. People are unprofessional, unreliable and dishonest. Check out BBB complaints on BFH's.

Bowen Family Homes... the worst home investment ever! Very poor customer service! Horrible quality in construction! Why am I stating that? because I am another victim of BFH houses!

You are certainly not alone in your complaints about Bowen Family Homes. My family has been a victim of Bowen Family Homes well before the housing crisis and they were doing the same things then that they are doing now. my suggestion is to get a homeless guy off the street as he will surely build a better home then Bowen..i pray everytime it storms for a tornado to hit this house so i can afford to get it built by a builder who knows how to actually build. RUN from Bowen unless you want to spend loads of money out of pocket to fix their mistakes or should i say crappy work .

I agree as well. We are the only house in the neighborhood without a front porch light because they forgot to install it. They said it was to late to fix. Our plumbing was reversed as well. My yard was getting treated with salt water killing off the grass. They came in and cut twelve holes to re-route the plumbing. The quailty is nothing compared to my first starter home that I paid half the price for. Bowen should stick to building doll and tree houses, not homes! One last thing, if you ever work with Tim Packard. . . . run! Tim is not a man of his word. He will promise you things until it comes time to fulfill his promises and then it was never discussed or there was a fee. Plus, he works with his mother and he makes her do all the dirty work. Tim never returns calls and his mail box is always full of unanswered calls. From Georgetown Village.

Bowen Family Homes have beautiful floor plans but I would not recommend a newly constructed Bowen house to anyone. Bowen neglected to put the metal flashing on the roofing above our kids bedroom windows. Rain water seeped in which caused mold to grow. It took Bowen Family Homes and WarrantyPro, Bowen's incompetent warranty contractor, four months to make their rooms habitable again. We have cracks in the brick and mortar on three of the four sides of the house. WarrantyPro alone is not worth buying a Bowen home. Their phone reps are rude and their workers never show up for scheduled appointments. We have had problem with claims being denied. Please find another builder to construct your new house.

We had great luck with the Bowen folks, and HORRIBLE luck with the incompetent people at PrimeLending (their preferred lender) - but Bowen set us up with another lender that turned out to be fantastic. We were also able to keep our incentives, and ended up getting a better interest rate.
