Borderfree Borderfree Review: Frustrating Experience with Poor Customer Service

I recently had an experience with Borderfree (borderfree.com) that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I ordered two dresses from their website and was surprised to find that I never received a confirmation of purchase. However, I did notice that Borderfree had debited the money for the purchase from my Paypal account. I waited patiently for two weeks, but still no sign of my dresses. I decided to file a complaint with both Paypal and Borderfree.

Finally, after two weeks, I received two packages containing the dresses I had ordered. However, I no longer needed them and requested a return. Borderfree responded with a promise to send me more information about the return in a separate email within a few days. Unfortunately, I did not receive any further communication from them for about two weeks. I had to file more complaints before I finally received the return details.

I returned all the items in early December and waited for my refund. On the 25th of December, I received a partial refund on my Paypal account, but no reason was given why they only refunded the money for one dress. It's worth noting that I bought the clothes on November 2nd, and the problems kept going on. I have sent several complaints since the 1st of January, but Borderfree has not responded so far. Based on my experience, I assume that they will potentially answer after two to three weeks.

In an update, Borderfree responded that they cannot refund my money because I opened a dispute at Paypal (which is already closed since the 25th of December, and which Borderfree denies) and that they did not receive any return. The reasoning is false and does not even make sense!

Another update: Borderfree confirmed the return on the 18th of January but refuses to refund my money! They don't even respond to my emails anymore. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed with Borderfree's customer service. I would not recommend using their services.

Borderfree Disappointing Experience with ULTA Canada's Third-Party Company, BORDERFREE

So, I recently made an order with ULTA Canada, and boy was I in for a surprise! Turns out, my transaction was being handled by a third-party company called BORDERFREE. And let me tell you, it was a nightmare of an experience. I mean, I love ULTA, but why would they work with such a scummy company? It makes me want to take my business elsewhere.

I spent a pretty penny on my order, but to my dismay, I didn't receive any answers. They gave me a tracking number that didn't even work! And when I called customer service, the first time they told me that my package was sitting at customs and could possibly sit there for another 3 weeks. Mind you, it's been a month already! That sounds like total BS to me. The last time I called, they said my package was actually sitting in the borderfree warehouse, and they didn't know how long it was going to stay there. Really?!

I am so disappointed in ULTA. They're usually pretty good about keeping their customers happy, but in this case, their representatives seemed clueless. One even told me, "I don't really deal with calls from Canada." I mean, come on! They should be well-rounded in their business and give me better options.

The last call I made, I asked if they could offer me a store credit via email with the CAD to USD exchange rates applied, since I'll be travelling to the states in the next week. But they said they couldn't do that. So, I'm left with no other option but to wait and see if I'll get my money back.

Honestly, I will never order from ULTA as long as they are still working with this scam of a company "Borderfree." They have no sense of integrity. It's a shame, really. I hope ULTA takes note and makes some changes.

Borderfree Borderfree Review: Terrible Customer Service and Payment Issues

I am absolutely shocked at the level of service provided by Borderfree. It's almost as if they don't care about their customers at all and are only interested in making money. I have serious doubts about the authenticity of the positive reviews I have seen online, as my experience with Borderfree has been nothing short of a nightmare.

In May 2018, I attempted to order from the Opening Ceremony website, which uses Borderfree's services. I tried to pay with my debit card, but the payment was refused. I have no issues with my bank, so I tried again with my PayPal account. However, Borderfree blocked my payment, leaving it pending and causing my order to fail. After a week of no communication from Borderfree, I contacted Opening Ceremony's customer service, who informed me that my order had been cancelled because Borderfree had cancelled my payment. Despite sending numerous emails to Borderfree, I received no explanation for this and was simply told that my card had been fixed and I could place a new order. Unfortunately, by this point, the item I wanted was sold out.

In July 2018, I attempted to order from Opening Ceremony again. This time, I tried to pay with my debit card, but once again, it didn't work. I then tried to pay with my PayPal account, and once again, my payment was left pending. I contacted Opening Ceremony's customer service, who tried to contact Borderfree on my behalf, but received no response. I have been trying to get in touch with Borderfree ever since, but nobody has responded to my emails.

I cannot stress enough how terrible Borderfree's customer service is. They clearly do not care about their customers and are only interested in making money. I strongly advise against using their services and urge others to be extremely careful. It's clear that Borderfree is not a trustworthy company, and I hope that they are held accountable for their actions.

Borderfree Wrong order received and returned with proof of return. Two months later, still awaiting my refund.

29 September 2022, I ordered two cashmere turtleneck sweaters from Macy’s. Since I am in Europe caring for family, the order was directed and paid to BorderFree who also lists itself as PitneyBows on my cc receipt. I paid shipping, customs, duties and VAT and received the goods in October. Unfortunately, I received men’s underwear in XL and a robe in 2xXL. I immediately informed the company and returned the goods via DHL as instructed. I confirmed that they received the package at he location they indicated. To date, 24 November despite 15 emails, several long distance phone calls and promises that my $309.00 would promptly be refunded, have seen nothing. My credit card company has indicated that despite my dispute and clear proof of incorrect order receipt, I am now responsible since my claim has been denied. No one is able to tell me why and I now must reopen my dispute and provide again all my proof that I received and returned an incorrect order and deserve my refund. Not pleasant under the best of circumstances but caring for an elderly, in hospice relative makes the experience with Macy’s et al extremely stresssful but too much money involved to simply, “let it go”. Word of advice, never use BorderFree for any purchases!

I purchased clothes from Nautica and without asking my preference for shipment they handed over the shipment to Borderfree who in tirn handed it over to DHL. I RECEIVED ONLY ONE TROUSER. I have emailed NAUTICA they are not responding and BORERFREE is saying they are not RESPONSIBLE and they do not know anything!

DHL Kenya says they have checked their Kenyan and USA warehouses there is nothing left out.

Borderfree is the most irresponsible company one can ever use! Negligent people!

Desired outcome: PLEASE I WOULD LIKE A REFUND

Borderfree Fraudulent charge on my credit card

I think you have a security breach as I Received a charge on my credit card ending 0432 today for R4, 140.32 but haven't ordered anything. Someone is using my credit card details fraudulently.
I thought my card details with you were secure but clearly this is not the case.
I have cancelled my card and will never again buy anything via Borderfree if this is the level of your security.

It has been two weeks since ordering snd haven't got one update on my order.when you call you can't speak to anyone.they need to start taking responsibility instead of passing it on to everyone else.

Borderfree Charged double for one order.

I ordered a Jigsaw Puzzle Easel from Bits and Pieces Holiday Catalog, top of page 66, and it was sent by Borderfree--I don't know why. I was then charged TWICE the Can.$169 plus tax on my VISA card for a total of Can.$384.20. Bits and Pieces won't do anything about this--after a dozen emails. I want the excess refunded.

Borderfree worst customer service/ keeping my money

Worst customer service I've ever experienced and theft.

They lost my order, promised me a refund, yet 1 month, and many many emails later, I'm still having to fight to get my refund of over £300.

They ignore almost every email and the ones they actually reply to, are the most unhelpful. Either sending a formatted response to which doesn't answer anything I've said or just resend the previous email.

Borderfree incomplete refund

Dear Sir / Madam,

We have ordered a dress on June 27, 2019. We have (according to proof of payment [protected] [protected] borderfree 2181) paid 112.41 euros for this. We have returned the dress. For this we have received (according to proof of payment TX331295811XT refund borderfree 2181) 75.10 euros! We do not understand why the difference of 37.31 euros is not refunded. We look forward to seeing the difference. Thank you for your cooperation.

Borderfree washer sun joe spx3000

Dear Sir/Madam,
I purchased a Brand Name Sun Joe SPX3000 with serial number [protected] at Borderfree on Date 10 August 2017.
Unfortunately, this washer has stopped working after few times of using. Last time during the time of using I felt a bad smell burn came from inside the washer so I stopped working immediately then I tried to turn on again after an hour, it still feel smell & see burn so. I believe the defective Sun Joe should be replaced under terms of the warranty (2 years).
To resolve this problem satisfactorily, I would appreciate a Replacement, a Refund, a Repair, Credit Toward Another Model, or Another Specific Action.
I am looking forward to your reply on this matter. I will wait until Specific Date for a reply before seeking assistance in resolving this dispute from a third party. Please contact me using the information above.

Borderfree did not refund order despite proof dhl did not deliver and returned back to borderfree

I have sent several emails and messages through social media and borderfree still has not refunded the money. They allowed a product to be shipped from the US to Spain that isn't allowed to be shipped (I was not aware or I wouldn't have ordered it) and despite proof from DHL that I didn't receive the order because it was denied by customs and returned to borderfree I have not received the refund. DHL is taking this more seriously and has gone above and beyond to help me when it isn't even their issue. I will never use borderfree again. Their customer service is non existant.

Borderfree credit card fraud

I live in Dubai UAE. On two occasional I have been subject to credit card fraud with my details being used at Borderfree Dublin, without my consent. This was with two separate credit cards (one cancelled then a month later it happened again).

The reason your site is used is because you do not require additional security in order to purchase goods; leaving criminals able to buy goods online from you without the owner of the stolen credit card details finding out until the statement comes through. I know this because I have investigated strenuously.
I suggest you look into the security settings of your online purchase processes

Borderfree asda

My invoice number is E4X201001012723 iv been charged two payments for this I want my money back. The invoice says it was 108.75 British pounds, two payments in euro was taken from my card the first payment was for 140.28 in euro and the next payment was taken out for 53.72 in euro . I was massively overcharged please refund what was unlawfully taken., my shipment Id was CE834062173IE

Borderfree customer service and invoicing

Shortly after placing an order through your service, my credit card information was stolen and subsequently that card was closed. Borderfree decided to reject the invoice from my bank, which would have automatically transfer to my new card, and continuously threaten and send me various invoices as they split my order up into 2 different shipments (which arrived as one shipment, at the same time, on the same day, in the same box). They have sent an invoice to an imaginary PayPal account which I do not have, and the alternative way is to either a) send my credit card information over email, or b) to the out of service phone number they provided. The company I purchased from (Nordstrom) and my bank (RBC) both have said that the orders have been paid for and dealt with on their side of things, so it has been entirely Borderfree being a horrible company to handle something involving fraud and theft with.

I paid £62.59 with Paypal and the money has been taken from my mastercard account. Paypal *MERCHANTVIA appears on the card
I would like a refund of £62.59 as the Flip Flops have not been delivered.

I have not received order no [protected]. Invoice ID E4X001050485829-1. with Borderfree Ltd. Transction ID 8jC43651HS402474F. Aetrex Flip flops. {women Grey} .ordered on 16 April.
I paid £ 62.59 with paypal. PAYPAL MERCHANTVIA appears on my credit card and the money has been taken from my account on 18th April
Tracking shows the item has been shipped but not delivered.
Please advise

Borderfree damaged order

Please help! I ordered a Firefly Pendant from CB2 via Borderfree. Order #:
E4X001047463319. The product arrived with one of the globes smashed (see photo). I urgently need a new globe as I am selling my house and the fixture looks ridiculous without all the globes :(
Please, please respond asap. I've called CB2 and sent emails, but no one is getting back to me.
This is very important to me to get fixed.

Borderfree never received package/ bad customer service

I submitted an order G274973725 that was confirmed on December 5 2017.

I never recieved a shipping confirmation email nor a tracking number.

However, when tracking the order status on the Borderfree site, it marked the package as shipped on December 11, expected to arrive on the 13th.

I emailed Borderfree on December 21, and didn't recieve a reply until 3 days later. Only to tell me (in an email with poor spelling/grammar) that the order was lost in the mail, and they are struggling to keep up with holiday demands.

I replied, explaining my worry as this was an expensive order, and my suspicion about whether my order ever actually shipped due to lack of proof shown to me.

I have not been responded to yet, and suspect I will be ignored in the hopes that I'll give up.

I'm deeply unsatisfied with my experience with the company and their customer service branch, and I have a very strong feeling that something fishy is going on. This is surprising, as this is not my first time ordering from them.

I would like to recieve my order, but I have no faith Borderfree will dispatch it, so I hope I get a full refund in a timely manner. In their email they gave the range as approximately 10 days to recieve a refund.

Borderfree champion order

I placed an order last Dec. 5 and was immediately charged for my order. I have been checking their site every day and I still see that my items are not yet shipped. It is already Dec. 21. I have already lost 3 weeks and this will take another 2-3 weeks if and when my order is shipped. I'm not aware if the seller (Champion) knows how lousy Borderfree is
