Damaged My Wife's Car and Refused to Take Responsibility
Bobby Layman Chevrolets service department damaged my wifes car and refused to pay for the damages. I would strongly advise you to steer clear of Bobby Layman Chevrolet unless you want to end up a victim like my wife and I.

I experienced the same problem recently from Bobby Layman Chevrolet with my leased 2015 Chevrolet Malibu. I'm two years on my three year lease and had to finally pay out of pocket for my service. I made a service appointment for Friday September 23 at 8 am. before work. I took my car in, got my service, paid the bill and off to work I went. My car was parked all day in the employee lot until I left work. I went out with friends and later went home. The next day, Saturday afternoon, I noticed the front drivers side wheel well guard was off my car. I took my car to he Bobby Layman servidpce department Tuesday night after work and received questions about what happened to my car but no one could help me then. I had my girlfriend take my car in the next day while I was at work and they gave her a hard time and accused me of wrong doing or having an possible enemy damage my car. My girlfriend knows cars, she worked at Honda for about 14 years and knows exactly how cars are put together. The service department and manager were afraid of her. They couldn't fool her, but she still got no where. I went in with her Wednesday afternoon and got nowhere with the man who sold me the car. He argued with everything I said and didn't give me an inch that it was there fault. I have taken my car there for two years with no problems like this. They have rotated the tires and changed the oil on my car that whole time. I had a couple of tires replaced as well but never had a problem with the wheel well coverings coming loose and falling off my car. I told the man who sold me my car in 2014 that the coincedence was too great for my car to be damaged after their mechanic fixed my car this time after more than two years of nothing like this ever happening. He blamed me for what happened, saying I may have hit something a long time ago and it took all this time for it to finally fall off. Not even a hint that their mechanic may have removed the piece or hit it while rotating the tires. I was told on some cars the piece is removed to work on cars but it shouldn't have been for my car. The man who sold me my car was proud of his service record and would not believe anything I or my knowledgable girlfriend said about what my record was of no damage like this to my car in over two years of driving it or bringing it to them for service. I told him I belived him, I didn't tell him I believed his service manager or his mechanic. I will fight this until I get to the people over this company who will fight for me and listen to reason.
