Bob Tomes Ford Hail damage on 2019 ford edge sel

I bought 2019 Ford Edge Sel one week ago (3/13/2021) at Bob Tomes Ford. Before buying a car, I looked at the documents related to the car and confirmed that there was no accident or damage. When I bought a car, I couldn't see the damage on top of the car. A few days later someone informed me that there was hail damage on the roof of my car, so I contacted the dealer, but there is still no contact. I am still waiting for dealer's response. I should have checked more accurately before I bought the car, but I couldn't see the roof of the car, and I believe the dealer should be honest when they sell used cars.

Bob Tomes Ford Recall service

After realizing there was a recall on the door latch when mine broke on 8/4/18, I called Bob Tomes Ford on 8/5/18 to let them know that my driver side door would not close, via voicemail. On 8/6/18 when I called back Johnathan looked up the information and stated that he has no idea when the part would come in and I did not have a rental car provision. He had me call Ford Direct who confirmed I did have rental car assistance as well as extended warranty. The lady at Ford Direct gave me information to give to Bob Tomes so that we can start the process on my car, without me having to miss work. When I call Bob Tomes back, Cory was very rude after asking me if I purchased my car or service my car at that particular dealership. When I replied no, his response was "so you didn't buy or service your car here but you want us to pay for a rental car and fix your recall" I was extremely offended and know he talked to me in that way because I am a woman. I immediately gave the phone to my husband, and then Cory changed his attitude and was cordial with my husband. Cory stated all of the service managers were unavailable and someone would call me back. Of course no one did, so we reached out to another dealership who took care of the situation in less than two hours. Please note that Bob Tomes is 7 miles from our home, but we had to drive 50 miles to another dealership to get the service we expect when dealing with such a situation. Bob Utter Ford provided beyond excellent service and had us in and out of their delership within 15 minutes. This is not the first time, or second, that I have had extremely poor service from Bob Tomes Ford.

We had several issues, first when having the bed liner sprayed in, they took a piece of paint out of my new truck. They offered to fix but the body shop manager who did the touch up didn’t even use the same color paint. The guys at auto zone laughed and said his 10 year old could do a better job. Then after signing the paperwork and obtaining the payoff on my truck I was trading in, they called me asking to pay another $132 that was due on the truck. Now when you call for a payoff, it’s always good for about 2-3 weeks. Sooo what happened?. And then on the 2nd car that we bought in June, we were getting calls from Capital One (my wife’s trade in finance co) wanting our car payment 4 weeks AFTER we bought the car. Well in talking to the financial institution, they never contacted them until July 24th—and now it’s August 14th and we still don’t have any info from the finance co as the dealership is still screwing around with the contract. Finally today after talking with the finance manager at the dealership AND capital one, we may get this deal processed.
The whole process is exasperating and I’m done with these folks

Bob Tomes Ford Hidden cost, no refund

Was told by finance manager that they throw a few things in as part of a package. Later when I got home I found out that they charge for the so called throw ins. The car I bought was a 2000 mustang gt and did not need these so called freebies. I contacted the finance manager and he sent paper work over to sign so I could get a refund, I signed and sent them back. Well it's been 3 months and still nothing. Have made several attempts to contact the finance manager with no luck. I decided to fill out a complaint to see if this will help.

sorry that happened but here is the moral of the story:
Get it in writing, put it in writing, and have them sign then and there, and do not sign anything until you have read it, and understood it ALL. Leave NO open spaces on contracts that can be added too later. Simple enough? Yup!
