Bob Evans quality of the food

Ordered carry out 1/17/2019, for fireside salads, there was only one person working the register taking calls ringing out resturant customers, taking orders for walk ins, and carry out orders, while 6 servers stood back there chatting, the receipt says ashley, she was the nly one working in the place, not sure it was ashley just because the reciept said that, she was amazing, when I looked at the salads there was no fireside sauce on the chicken (well it is called fireside salad) the cashier offered to get me some on the side to go, I guess all packets of dressing were gone, we received bowls of dressing (skimpy). Banana bread not cooked all the way. It was an awful experience. The salads were 90 percent lettuce only and other ingredients very slim, and no fireside sauce

Grant you the restaurant was busy being noon on a Sunday. The counter was empty so we sat there or it would have been a 30 - 45 minute wait. The counter was dirty with dirty dishes. Some one did clean it off and pushed the dishes aside. She did not remove them, she pushed them aside, wiped off the counter and got our drinks. It was sometime before someone else took our order. The waitress doing take out was our waitress. She finally took our order which took about 45 minutes to get. My husband did not get his milk, which he asked for when she brought the meal. He also asked for honey at that time. The milk and honey never came. She finally came around 5 minutes later which he asked for it again. She slammed the honey down on the counter at him and brought the milk. We never saw her again until we we're done eating. I order a hamburger/ fries. The bun was so toasted that I could not eat it. When we we're done she came back and asked if everything was OK. By that time we we're finished and there was no reason to say anything. I told her just to bring us the check. We never received the check. We went to the register and told the cashier. She never asked if everything was good or not. I asked if the corporate phone number was on the check, she had to look at it to tell me no. We eat at this location quite often and it had never been this bad. Sitting at the counter you could tell how unorganized the food staff was. Why do the men with beards not wear coverings over their beards?

Bob Evans no butter or sour cream or crannyberry sauce and silver ware

1st complaint order 2 turkey dinners, no silver ware and both cranberries sauces was missing, now got a grilled salmon dinner with a bake potato, potato no sour cream or butter, rolls no butter either, 2nd dinner grilled chicken breast rolls no butter and also no silver ware, and wife said they was very dry, I work hard for the money i make, and go to bob evans for take out dinner instead of the other chain restraunts in my town, and this is how the service is, me and wife might not be going back to your company establishment, chilis and eat n park seem to get things right,

It could be worse...I ordered Dinner at Georgesville Square, Columbus OH, to be delivered by Door Dash on [protected]. Bob Evans deducted $26.00 (including delivery/tip). I never received the food and still waiting for a refund on [protected]. Door Dash called to say the Bob Evans store was closed and was nice enough to deliver, at no extra charge from another restaurant.

To date, Bob Evans doesn't really care what so ever.

Bob Evans lack of service

My wife and I on Nov. 25, at about 1:10 PM, went to bob evans in Adrian, Mi. We waited close to 10 minutes for a table, when we were seated, we noticed close to six empty tables near where we sat, why the wait? By the way my wife is in her mid 60's, I am in my late 60's. The hostess said our server would be right over. We waited, another party of three was seated near us, their drink order was taken, and my wife and I waited. The other table got their food and was eating, my wife and I waited. We saw other servers behind the counter talking, but none came to see if we were served. Nor could I get anyone's attention. After 20 to 25minutes of waiting, we put on our coats and went to the counter. The cashier began to ask how everything was, I told her we sat for 20 to 25 minutes and no one came by to even ask what we wanted to drink. Then she asked where we were sitting, I pointed to our table, still with the menus on the table. Then pointed to the table next to ours where the people, who came in AFTER, us were eating. Your cashier's remark was a dumb a**, "Oh". We went across the street to Applebee's and had an excellent lunch. I called your customer service line at [protected] I told the person who answered of this incident, as well as, my family, of 15, always got together for Sunday breakfast at this "hole", but not this past Sunday, and was told that someone would call back, no one has. Your motto, "we treat you like family", suggests that bob evan was an only child, has very small family gatherings.

Bob Evans lost vacation, no severance package after store was closed without notice

I was a loyal Bob Evans employee from [protected] and left for another oprituity and returned to Bob Evan's in [protected].
Ok my problems started in Oct 2017. First when our GM quit our store our A.D. left 3 shift leads in charge and I was one of them we fought our way through the holidays with no major issues working straight through open to close back to back short staffed more than one position, under trained and under appreciated. Didn't even get a great job guys thanks.
In Jan 2018 after we already killed ourselves they suddenly overnight changed my status in the system to Asst. Manager it was not negotiated I did not agree to any terms and I didn't even get to make any demands on pay or schedule at this point one of the 3 shift leads had quit for personal issues leaving one Asst manager and a shift lead in training also at this point I had already worked enough hours to to earn my 3 week vacation I of course I was expecting that check at the end of the year to help catch up on Bills thinking it would all be worth it. When it did not come with everyone else's I contacted my A.D. who then tells me that "When you were promoted all your vacation time converted into P.T.O. Which you should have taken because now you lost it." How was I supposed to do that with no help and no staff she got her time off over the holidays
Now at this point I am angry but let it go in June 2018 I think first time I've seen her since Sept 2017 she proceeded to give me an employee review and gives me a $0.46 raise in pay. I had been at the same rate of pay for almost 3 years without complaint. I was angry but let that go. Oct 3rd 2018 all the employees show up for a new menu meeting and proceed to tell everyone that they were locking the doors that day everyone who was employed at this point was offered a severance package or transfer in which I told my A.D. I would have to discuss it with my fiance before making a decision she says okay and we came in the next day to clean up and I told her I would not be transferring becuse oI would be taking the severance then she then tells me I'm not offered one because I was a manager and as of [protected] I still have not received my last 2 pay checks I should have gotten them already I am tired of being taken advantage of and discriminated against by my higher ups so I am writing this today to maybe shed some light on this company's bad practices I deserve to be paid what I am owed I should be paid for my vacation they took the pay I am owed her hours worked and for running the store as managers for four months on shift lead pay all these things added up equal to a whole lot of money I want paid for and I believe wasn't it right to take it from me

Bob Evans breakfast food

My husband and I have been sick so we didn't want to sit in the restaurant with all the other customers and staff so we placed a carry out order today. I ordered a double meat order for my husband with French toast and it was burnt so bad it was BLACK! I ordered two over medium eggs with hash browns and bacon with toast, my eggs were Apollo raw the slime was clear/uncooked. I couldn't pick them up to put on another dish to complete cooking in the oven. The bacon was raw clear and white fat raw and I ask for crispy hash browns that were also crunch white raw potatoes ! My toast was BLACK! We paid for the food at 11:14am Sunday so I do understand how busy the restaurant gets at that time. We order food and eat in a few times a mtg and have had prior issues such as missing/over cooked or undercooked food but I have never complained but it's never been so bad/gross! We ordered from the Pasadena location 8051 Richie Hwy. Md. The receipt amount was 28.71 with the tip.

Bob Evans entire dinner

Six family members from Fl, we arrive in PA a few days ago excited about going back to Bob Evans to eat as we do each time we come to town. We ordered drinks, then meal, had soups and salad with meals, ask for breads young girl brought bread, but I had to go ask for saucers for bread and then went up to counter to ask for water, coffee, coke refills- had waited a while on food . After I went to counter the third Tim they brought soups and salad and meals out all at the same time. Our food was not hot and had to take salad and half of the food home because brought out the same time. Had to wait on check and our dessert never got offered that was to come wit Lhasa meals. I asked for them as I checked out . Waitress was really sweet and nervous, due to being shorthanded . Disappointed the manager never came out and spoke to us or apologize or offer anything.

Bob Evans ordered one day ahead. arrived to find my order wasn't filled

I had ordered a strawberry pie a day in advance for a gathering. The southport road bob evans in indianapolis. I went to pick it up today, they had no order, and no ingredients to make my pie. I had the same experience last month with the be on elbert! They take your name, phone number, and they can't call and say it's not available? Really put me in a spot today, since I was on my way to a special dinner! I think the strawberry pie is the best thing since sliced bread. But apparently I can't get one. I was really mad today, as I ordered a day in advance, and still no pie? I may or may not try again?

Bob Evans caroline the manager 25504 store

Caroline the manager at 25504 store should be fired for disgusting guests by saying she beat cancer then smoking cigarettes around the store.. She calls employees stupid and removes labels on bad products and puts new ones on so she can trick the steritech personel and the health department she is a disgrace and doesn't deserve to have a job at Bob Evans or any place food is involved. She washed puke out of mops in the dish sink and stored dishes soaking over night in nasty waste... And serves children and elderly What people in 25504 calls the crap Evans cause everyone gets the craps and sick after they eat there. She retailiated against me for telling other managers and corporate about the messes...

Bob Evans the to go cup/ hamburger bun

I was at brunswick Bob Evans and I order my bacon burger like I've been getting in the past and I can't have anything with milk in it so I found out the the potatoes bun doesn't have milk in it, so I order it and the bun that was on My burger was not the potatoes bun they change it again, I was pirty upset with this, and you guy have to get taller glass Togo cup. The baby Togo cups are like kids cup !

Bob Evans change in menu

I do not understand why in this world you would remove crepes from your menu! This is a truly bad move!
They are delicious and have always been a favorite to a lot of people!
So for the love of crepes put them back on the menu!
We come to bob Evans on a regular basis and we enjoy these so much on a Sunday afternoon after a day of church. I hope you reconsider and GIVE US THE CREPES

Bob Evans food at bob evans restaurant in teays valley, wv

We have eaten at Bob Evans restaurants for over 40 years. But within the past 2-3 years, their food has gotten progressively worse. A couple of months ago, my husband decided to try their meatloaf. This was a mistake. He said that it was not tender and the appearance reminded him of dog food. We did not say anything about this to the restaurant at the time. We had heard that they had changed their menu items. The rolls were also different. They were not as big and fluffy as they used to be. On Thursday, October 4, 2018, we decided to drop by and see if they were making their chili that they usually have in the fall and winter. My husband purchased 4 containers. This bill was $40.65. We like to obtain this and have it in the freezer for easy meals. What a huge mistake this was! As I spooned the chili out into a bowl, I noticed some very large pieces of onions. We went ahead and made an attempt to eat a bowl but had to eat around the onions. It was not their usual chili. The crackers that were given to eat with the chili were stale!

On Saturday, October 6, 2018, my husband decided that we should let the restaurant know our dislike with the chili. The chili was still in the original containers and we put it in the Bob Evans bag. He talked with the lady who was managing then and she said that they had changed the recipe. What? Why change a recipe that has proven to be the best over the years? She just offered us a meal but my husband did not accept it as he was very upset about the chili. He left the containers of chili with her. He told her that she could just dump it back into the pot for the next sucker. This is such a shame that a nice restaurant with down home cooking has gone to the dogs. I would not advise anyone to eat at a Bob Evans restaurant. We will not be eating at their restaurants anymore. I am afraid that situations like this will cause Bob Evans to lose a lot of good paying customers if it hasn't already.

Bob Evans sausage & gravy

In the last 3 out of 4 times that we have purchased the product, the packaging has failed. Each time the pouch would split open while it was boiling on the stove, making it unusable. We bought the product at our local Kroger's store. I spoke with them about it, just to alert them.
We really like the product, but are having a hard time justifying buying it if we end up having to throw it out because of "water damage".

Bob Evans food

Terrible food this morning at Bob Evan in Logan. Everything we ordered was cold. We didnt want to wait for new food to be cooked cause we already had been there for awhile. Think they were short staffed in the kitchen. They did take 20% off our bill. But ever had that bad of food. Then the line to pay the bill was so long . We just layed the bill and money down and left. They were too busy take a carry out order over the phone .

Bob Evans bob evans gravy box of 2 pouches, homestyle pork sausage gravy

Hello, I am a long time customer of Bob Evans & Bob Evans Products. My family has enjoyed them for years! I recently purchased a box, with 2 plastic pouches, of Bob Evans Homestyle Pork Sausage Gravy. I have made them several times in the past. However, this time while preparing 1 of the pouches on the stove top, the bag burst open leaking the gravy into the pan water. So, I attempted warming the 2nd pouch. But that pouch burst open as well. I was not able to use any of it. It appears the plastic pouches were defective. Is there anyway to receive some sort of compensation for the box of gravy pouches? The sku # is 0 [protected] 7. I purchased it from Meijer on Belleville Rd, Belleville, MI 48111 on Friday, September 14, 2018. The numbers printed on the box are as follows: EST 403A 8240 L1 04 14:42 USE/FRZ BY 11/18/2018. I appreciate your assistance and time on this matter.

Bob Evans masonia restaurant poor service

My wife and I stop at your restaurant tonight on the way home. And we very disappointed.#1 the soup was cold and the potatoes was a little bit hard. #2 my wives country fried steak likes oncor.#3 my pot roast was cold. I don't I should tell take stuff back. And you don't hand vacuum the carpet when people are eating. We were very disappointed. It seems they rather talk then make sure the customer is pleased with there meal. Thank you dale havel

Bob Evans service at the bel air road restaurant

My husband and I came to the restaurant at about 5:30. We were seated right away and the waitress was fairly prompt at taking our order. We each asked for cup of soup and salads. Nothing hard. We waited over 30 minutes and received nothing but our drinks. The waitress walked passed us quite a few times and said nothing to us. We told the waitress to cancel our order because we were leaving. We stopped at the counter to see the manager but she also ignored us. As we stood there I saw our salads sitting on the counter. We have never experienced treatment like this from this restaurant, we both really like it here but this maybe our last trip here.

Bob Evans register/dining experience

My husband and I were hoping to enjoy a nice brunch this morning using gifts cards we had received as gifts. We would not have been dining here had we not had these gift cards. Aside from the unsatisfactory dining experience (burnt grease odor and poor service and coffee), my major complaint was regarding our register experience. Upon checking out, the lady at the register informed us that the "system was down" and they could not accept our $30 worth of gifts cards. I kindly asked if she could take the gift cards and run them when the system came back online (because I know this to be a possible resolution), she rudely and abruptly replied "No, we can't do that" and proceeded to run the meal on my credit card. Again, being on a budget, we would not have been dining at Bob Evans without these gift cards. I have honestly never been more appalled in a restaurant experience than I was this morning. I never complain or leave negative reviews, but this situation has left me so disappointed. Customers should not be expected to be inconvenienced and forced to accommodate for a restaurant's incapabilities. A proper business puts the customer first, and I must say, if this situation is not resolved, I will never be dining at this restaurant chain again. I am requesting we be allowed to utilize our $30 of gift cards in order to refund our credit card. I have retained our receipt for reference. The bill plus 20% tip totaled just over $31, and I expect to be treated fairly and allowed to use my gift cards to cover $30 of that $31. Any business who cares for their customer would accommodate such a simple request.

Bob Evans sausage sandwich patties - fda complaint confirmation 9-6-2018-762fef2731

I have attached a copy of my complaint and photos of the product and packaging.
My son and I consumed 3 of the patties and have noticed no ill effects. I discovered the contamination as I was repackaging the remaining 3 patties for freezing. I have wrapped the remaining product in wax paper and am storing it in my refrigerator.

Bob Evans carry out meal

Last Saturday September 1, 2018, I ordered a carry out meal, my favorite meal from your restaurant, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes etc. Even when dining in, I always order a side order of gravy because the dressing is always drier than I like and a little extra gravy fixes the issue. The problem is, the gravy I received was little more than flavored water. The consistency was extremely thin and was marginal from a taste standpoint.

Bob Evans is where I can almost always count on quality and consistency which is why I am bringing it to your attention. Maybe a new person was preparing carry out dinners I don't know, but I felt it was important enough to share my experience with you.
