Bluegreen Vacations timeshare headache

My husband and I were told alot of things during the process of us becoming timeshare owners, that this company did not live up to. We were told that they would buy back the timeshare in the event that we coluld no longer afford to make payments, not so. We were quoted one price for yearly dues and the price was double what was quoted. We just want out and want to forget Bluegreen Resorts even exists.

I've been a BG owner for 10 years and they absolutely changes the rules as you go along even if it's in writing! We actually own with 2 companies and BG is my least favorite of the two - if I could get rid of it at a reasonable price I would! Some of us may have been a bit "uneducated" at the beginning of the process but that doesn't make what this industry is doing right. Why do you think there have been so many lawsuits and complaints! Wake up a smell the coffee.

Lord Mankinholes, You are the one that does not know what they are talking about. I just got talked into an upgrade with BG. My wife and I asked the sales person 4 times how much would our Maintenance Dues be affected by this upgrade. We were told that they would double but no more than that. We are now being told by BG that we owe over $2000 for the MD for this year. We were paying around $500 per year before the upgrade. I have spoken to several people at BG and they agree with me that there must be some kind of mistake but no one will do anything about it. This is no way for BG to treat their customers. We were lied to by the Sales people and now we are being blackmailed into paying double the standard amount for MD because if we do not pay the MD then our account will be frozen and we will be unable to use our vacation points until we pay this outrageous amount.

Toyotafan have you looked into timeshare or are you one of those idiots that think they know everything and in fact know nothing.
We have made timeshare work along with many many thousands of other happy owners.
Over the years we have saved Thousands of £ on holidays, been to places that would have been far to expensive to even dream about going to.

So untill you know what you are talking about please shut up.

There is no scam in Bluegreen it does what it says on the can, the problem is that people do not do their homework and can not be bothered in learning how to use what they have bought ... it is like buying the latest TV and then throwing away the remote controll and complaining that the TV does not work.

Bluegreen Vacations lies, lies, lies!

I took a tour/sales pitch and I did sign up for a sampler package which gave me 9, 000 points that cannot be used during any major holidays, June, July nor August. Once I got home I did my research and found countless complaints on this company. My experiece was just like everyone else's. My rep was new and there was a supervisor who could make things happen and twist the numbers around. No matter what was my reply they had a cheaper points plan I could get into which made me leary. I am happy I did not sign up as an "owner" because it appears that's where the real games start. I am a licensed Real Estate agent and I know you can't use timeshares as tax right offs. I didn't like how the supervisor kept selling "you will be an owner of these beautiful properties" He said it like a thousand times which made me feel like he is shoveling crap!
DON'T SIGN UP WITH BLUEGREEN!
THEY ARE SELLING LIES NOT RESORTS AT A GREAT PRICE.

Getting a Sampler package was probably a good idea, so do go ahead and use it. A timeshare is not a hotel and you need to learn the differences and how to use them best. Do not be annoyed that owners who paid full price should get the prime dates. Many with school children simply cannot vacation at any but summer and holiday dates. That understood, DO look for locations you find interesting (plural) and reserve about 6 months ahead to be on the safe side. We have been owners for many years and have greatly enjoyed visiting many different Bluegreen locations. Since, at this point, we do not have school children, we can travel in the off season and nearly always have good luck getting what we want. Early fall and spring are often quite wonderful and crowds are gone--or not arrived yet. Understand that few timeshares will have hotel type maid service. You will feel like you are in your own private home. Don't buy if you can't afford the continuing maintenance fees but, at least, enjoy what you now have.

Bluegreen Vacations no sales in two years of market

I have had a vacation property with Bluegreen on sales for two years after paying this organization $995. to sell it in a 90 day period. I dropped the price to $10. to get out from under this property with no avail. I have called and spoke to the customer service at [protected] ext. 4300 and have not got any action at all on my sales account. I beleive that this is a scam of
a service to sell properties and need someone to look into this company.
My loss.

Bluegreen Vacations terrible

My husband and I went through the whole thing in Gatlinburg TN in 2006 and like dummies reuped in 2007 thought it would be great! Well I have tried 3 times to use it and unable because it was booked and when I finally able to I was at Myrtle Beach without the beach and in a room with 3 kids that was not big enough for anything it was terrible! Now I have made payments every month and kept up with the problem I have is maintenance fees and I know we owe but I want to sell this and it has been impossible and bluegreen is of no help. I WANT OUT AND I WANT SOMEONE TO HEAR ME! I have paid since 2007 and still owe more than what I paid for the property and I thought it would be a great thing but I was wrong

I work for Linx Legal, we've been in business for 14 years and we help timeshare owners out of their financial obligations based on lies you were told and promises not met. Our ultimate goal is to save owners from having to dig a financial hole for themselves for something they weren't honestly sold and most times can't even use. I'll attach our Better Business Bureau so you can look into our company and read the reviews for yourself. If you have any questions or want to see if we can help you as well, my work line is [protected]. I will not ask for any personal information aside from a little insight into your experience. We also charge a fee as well, but we only offer a case if we are certain we can cancel the contract and only if we are able to save owners a substantial amount of money.

If you were in MB without the beach then it must have been Harbor Lights, if that is so then if you say that the unit was small for both of you and the 3 kids then it must have been a 1 bed unit. If I am correct then you broke the rules these 1 bed units sleep 4 only for a family of 5 then you should have had a 2 bed, I have stayed in these units and I can tell all of you that they are not small. Just had another thought you did not try and con the resort and book a "Hotel" style room did you ?
I have been an Owner for 7 yrs and have never had a problem getting the reservation that I asked for and all our reservations have been in the summer high peak period.
You say YOU WANT OUT well I am sorry to tell you that the resale of any timeshare in these times of doom and gloom are being given away and the value is zero to the seller, on the other hand a big bonus for the happy owners who want to increase their ownership, and my friend there are many many thousands of very happy owners.
Now for the crunch YOU CANNOT SELL IT OR GIVE IT AWAY BECAUSE IT IS NOT FREE OF DEBT, this is very clear in the paper work for you to get rid of it it must be paid off and all fees upto date.
Untill you have done this then do not waste your money trying to sell it, DO NOT give any company any upfront fees because they say the can sell it for you ... THEY CAN NOT

Bluegreen Vacations dirty resorts, bad investment

Bluegreen is not honest in what they sell you. Only partial information given and information is given in a misleading way. Resort management in TN is terrible. Resorts are unkept. Maintenance fees are out of hand. 1st year (2007) was $800.00 this year 2011 was over $2200.00. It's buyer beware. Check them out completely then check them again for your protection.

Lets be honest ... have you found your missing MF money or did you spend it on something your other half dosn't know about lol

You ask why I am bothered ... I pay my MF and I for one do not expect BGVC to have to pay out to defend these people that lie

You may have come across better if you had been honest in the first place, you still have not answered why you had to grossly inflate the 2011 MF.

Come on now tell us all how much your 2012 fees went up ?

Mine like all owners in trust fund E went up $0

Again I have to repeat myself I have never had a problem in getting a reservation

Re: Lord Dinkhole!

Why would someone half way across the world in England give two shivers about what we here in the states complain about, unless you were on Blueturds payroll... This is a complaint board! If you want to blow rays of sunshine up Blueturds Corporates butts, I suggest you find another venue to do that. They are only in the business to take honest peoples money in a shady way, nothing else. They hardly ever have open bookings and their customer service might as well be housed at the local kindergarten class in Boca Raton!

Now somebody on here is telling porkie pies ... and it is not me so I will let you make your own mind up.
If you MF were $800 in 2007 (you must have 14000 points since that is the nearest I can get to your fig.)

Then your 2011 mf were $950 not $2200 as you state ... $32o base fee + $0.045 per point

Bluegreen Vacations total fraud

This outfit is a TOTAL FRAUD! First of all, it is owned and operated by Iraquis who have taken full advantage of this country's aid in starting new business and even Federal and state funding, etc.

They will force senior people, who are on Medicare, to accept these "aids"
who come to their place of residence to help care for them. What these
innocent and unsuspecting seniors are not being told, though, is that the
people being sent to their homes are people who have not even been screened
and background checked, etc., before being hired, etc. Most of these so-called
"aids" have criminal backgrounds and records. They will come into someone's
house and steal anything and everything of any value, such as money, jewelry,
prescrirtion drugs, etc., etc., etc.

DO NOT allow this "agency" to send anyone into your home. This is a TOTAL
SCAM and FRAUD ring that apparently the so-called "government" is in on.
They will try to flim-flam Medi-Care recirients into believing that it is a much needed service. This is just their way of weaseling their way into your home
to check it out and figure out how to best make their heist, etc. BEWARE!

You will very clearly see this, if you ever have dealt with them. These so-called "aids" are the laziest and most useless individuals that can be imagined.
Everything that needs to be done in a household, they will claim that they don't do, or that they aren't being paid to do, etc. Why are they even there,
then? !

Bluegreen Vacations fraud

People be very very carefull when you are out shopping at Bass Pro Shops in the future. Jonny Morris must have lost his mind as he has let the Bluegreen Resort cockroach's into his stores to screw and scam the customer. I came across the scam at my last vist to BPS. The salesmen and women ambush you from a counter called Outdoor Travler. They claim that it is the "Best Value In The Store" They give a pretty sweet come on and have som real nice pics. of resorts you get to stay in for the low price of $129 for three days. All you need to do in return is set through a 90-120 tour and sales presentation. Well folks let me tell ya what. The first thing is $129 gets you the worst rooms they have to offer at these resorts. Next you have to pay $30 more for a weekend check in and then another $40 for a room big enough to fit in. The best part is you can't check in until 4 pm and they kick you out at 10 am the third day, so do the math you really get 2 days at this wonderfull place. Next when they set your tour time (thast right they say whenyou get to tour not you and they pick the worst time for ya) so the full day is shot. The tour is so high pressure they try and crack you and use the same crap as the rest of the timeshare people that we all know and hate. The tour was so bad I told the scumball he could keep the Bass Pro gift cards cuz I will never shop at a bass Pro Shop again if this is the way they set the customer up. Check out other web sites and you will soon learn these Bluegreen people have been screwing people since 1968. Check your local BBB and see this company has a F rating. I also have learnd these duchbags are now at all of the NASCAR race tracks as well. I guess they figure maybe they can pick off some people that have had a few drinks and screw them as well. Looks like NASCAR has sold it's soul to these bottom feeders. Folks remeber the old adage A fool and his money are soon parted. If you don't like that one how about "If it is to good to be true, then it is"

Bluegreen Vacations high pressure &soft sale&

We just returned from Bluegreen Club 36 in Las Vegas. We knew it was a timeshare pitch when we signed up. We had the privilege of staying on the property. My husband and I loved the room. It was beautifully set-up with a living room, dining area, mini kitchen and large bathroom. The people that worked the front desk were friendly and inviting. The only downfall came when we attended the 90 minute presentation which lasted 3 hrs and 45 mins. They started off with a comedian who was very funny and informative (best part of the presentation). We were given a young man who said he was new (which according to the posts seems to be a theme). He was quite nice though. However once we were presented with the 20, 000 point plan for $32K, we said no. Then it went to 8, 000 pts for $9, 900 to finally a two year 12, 000 point plan for $3K. We were adament that we would not sign up for a vacation program because we had two high school graduates starting college in the fall. The "supervisor" flat out told us that we could afford it. When initially presented with the $32K plan, my husband said that he would not pay $500 a month, maybe half that would be better. However after discussing it alone, we agreed to pass altogether. Mr. Supervisor said "when you said you could afford half of the $500 monthly payment, what happened to that... were you lying?" The "soft sale" became very hard. Honestly, the only option is to just get up and walk out. These pressure sales rely on the fact that many people are raised to be polite and won't tell them to just shove it. Finally the young man in his continued attempt to "sell us", he said "You can always make more money, but you can't buy more time." I interrupted him and said, "You are exactly correct and that's why I don't want to waste anymore here. I want this to be over NOW."

All that being said, it was a nice facility and 3 days in Vegas. All the people were not bad. Even though they told us the facility in Vegas was for owners only, we found online that you can rent a room there for a hellva lot less than $32K for 10 years At 17% interest.

I'm curious- if you though they were so full of it, why did you purchase anything? Also, have you even attempted to use the points yet?. Seems you are basing your experience on the opinions of other people. At least try it out for yourself to see what you think before jumping off the deep end and spreading negativity.

I agree totally with u... My husband bought the sampler... which does not make us members. This package gave us 9000 point to use with in a year of purchase.. we are going back to Vegas in March and we will have to go back through all of the sales crap again. This time it will be different. I have all of the info and they won't get another dime out of me... I too was raised to be polite but I will not hesitate to walk out of that place after the 90 mins are up. I do know that if we don't stay they can charge us over $200 for each of the nights we plan on staying... so we will listen and nod our heads and when it gets down to the sales pitch.. well I will just say NO and don't try to sweeten the deal. I won't have any of it.

Bluegreen Vacations scam/deceptive practices

We purchased a timeshare with BlueGreen which was supposed to be a great opportunity to have something which would be a "legacy" we could use and pass on to all our children. During the sale pitch, we were told this would be paid for in 5 years and that we could rent out our points if we wanted to, use them for cruises and participate in an additional resort program where we could use "companion resorts" all over the world at very reduced prices. Our maintenance fee was once a year for $450. I should have been suspicious when we went to sign the papers and the agent tape recorded our entire conver yosation. Two years after we bought this, the maintenance fee had risen to $1250/year, my husband's company folded with the depressed economy and we found out (the hard way) that timeshares are IMPOSSIBLE to get out of; we have been scammed 3 times trying to get rid of this millstone. I spoke to BlueGreen and essentially they told us, too bad on you and tough luck that your husband has no income. There was no recourse to sell/refinance/get out of the contract which we found to be for 10 years, not the five the sales person told us. This is the biggest SCAM I ever heard of and, even though I tried to work with BlueGreen, they have no interest in doing anything but collect our money! We can't rent outour points, and the places we might choose to use are never available!
We were unable to pay the 2010 maintenance fee, so they sent us to collections. They are still collecting their monthly fee, but we have no way to use the points. We were told we could use our points (we had 20, 000 per year) to pay the maintenance fee, but when I said go ahead and use them all, I found out that for $400 per month we got only $200 for the entire year's 20, 000 points! What a rip off! If anyone ever is stupid enough to deal with this company, call me first!

They changed the points for MF value to stop epolple like yourselves from not using points and not paying MF, the BGVC needs an income that is why we pay MF (who else is going to pay the staff) if everyone paid with points then no income no staff etc, it that simple
All timeshares are going through the same thing the only way to get rid is to make sure that all payments are upto dat, that you do not have a loan on it, if you can do that then give it away and you pay the closing costs

The first part of your post is correct you can do those things.

If you buy a TV from Best buys or Walmart would you even consider taking it back and asking them to buy it back of you ? ... do you thing they will of coause not so why expect Bluegreen to

Bluegreen Vacations very shady operators

We attended a Bluegreen presentation in Myrtle Beach SC. The initial presenter and the sales staff were very personable. We own three weeks of timeshare, and decided for a couple of reasons to add a fourth. Big mistake.

Upon returning to our condo, I decided for the sake of safety to research some of the claims made by their staff. The had lied in the presentation on at least two important points. Based on that, we cancelled the purchase. I just received our refund check today, and guess what, it was $65 short of the the correct amount.

I should have been more wary when we had to acknowledge not once, but TWICE in the closing that Bluegreen does not stand behind ANY statements made by their sales staff during the sales presentation. I'd never seen a disclaimer like that before in ANY type of purchasing, even used cars! LOL

The dealbreaker for us is that they made a point no fewer than three times of promising in the sales presentation that they had NEVER had a special assessment charged to owners, and never would. I found out quickly with a minimum of Google effort that the very Monday of the week we attended their presentation on the following Thursday, they had a special assessment at one of the properties of no less than $1600. I found further record of at least two other recent special assessments. To compare, at our primary property, where we have owned for 24 years, we have indeed had zero special assessments, and two hurricanes have breezed by it in those years.

By the way, the "Free Cruise" that we were given to attend the presentation is not free at all. We later learned that it costs a minimum of $200 per person, and the costs can go up from there.

These guys wouldn't know the truth if it bit them HARD upon the ***. Do NOT agree to go to their sales presentations, and definitely DO NOT buy anything from them. You'll be sorry.

I have been an Owner for 8 yrs and only paid $75 in SA and that was for the refurb of Lacabana BRC in Aruba (Bluegreen owns around 25% of that resort) The sa you are talking about are in a different trust fund than the points you were being asked to buy
So it appears that you should also check your facts before making such false statements

Bluegreen Vacations timeshare nightmare

We purchased this timeshare back in 1995 and have been stuck with this albatross ever since. We have never, ever used any of the resorts and have just continued to pay the fees. Money which we could have used for important things. Each time we have called to make appts. we have been told we didn't have enough points or our points did not rollover from the previous year. So trust me when I tell you that this has been a timeshare scam since the beginning. Now they want to cancel our membership because we got tired of paying the maintenance fees and timeshare fees and every other fee for resorts WE HAVE NEVER USED. We also got scammed by a company called Omega Timeshare Resellers located in Florida and they got us for over $900.00 they never sold our timeshare and this company has since disappeared. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE IN THIS WORLD.?

Why did you buy in the first place.

I find it hard to understand that you have had a timeshare for 16 yrs and never used it

Sell it (or you should have sold it in the boom times) but if you now owe money on it ie back MF you are unable to sell it

Pay what you owe or Bluegreen will foreclose on you and rightly so why should other owners have to pay your MF

Bluegreen Vacations lied to us in order sell points

In July of 2008, we took our grandkids to Laurel Crest, a Bluegreen Resort. We had 15, 000 points for every 2 years. On July 8th, 2008, we met with Ken and Jeannie, two Bluegreen representatives selling additional points. Both Jeannie and Ken promised us that if we bought into 12, 000 points for every year, the first year we would also carry over our 15, 000 as they were getting ready to renew August 1st. They lied to us. We did not get the 15, 000 points. We paid $10k for the 12k annual points. In a phone call to Ken in September, he even acknowledged that he probably did tell us that but he was "sorry" it just didn't work out that way.

In addition to this, you cannot get your vacation when you want it with Bluegreen. It is a day of frustration to try to book any beach resort even if you try to go the 11 months out. I don't understand why Bluegreen is not under investigation for fraud. They are no better than the Pyramid scams that swindle people out of their money. For the $700. a year in maintenance fees you have to pay, you could almost go on a vacation to a resort and not have paid the up front $10k. This seems criminal to me. Let the Buyer Beware...

I have never had a problem getting a reservation and I have just checked online and found several beach units available for mid July even at this late stage (May).
Why did you even expect to have you EOY points as well as your new annual points since you traded in your old contract for the new one, if you trade in a car against a new one you dont get to keep the old one another 2 yrs do you.
Just so that you fully understand you paid $10000 for 4500 annual points since you already had 7500 (1/2 of your 15000 EOY contract)
Also you 2011 MF are $860

I was suckered in to timeshare purchase being told vacation was 1400 points week when in essence it was a day. Luckily I read contract and you have 10 days to void the contract. I cancelled on June 2 2008 and still awaiting deposit refund but they did tell me contract is cancelled. Hope this helps someone. My initial hotel stay was also very crappy.Toilet stopped up the first time we used it and motel gave us a plunger to fix, a/c only worked on and off, and light was blown. This was the red roof inn at Gatlinburg. Bluegreen reps said they would make it right and of course they didn't. Their salespeople lie to sell you and they will not tell you about cancellation period of contract.

In Mach of 2010 at a sales meeting in Branson, MO, I told the salesman, Stan Koya, that my wife was seriously ill that we would not be buying any more points and would like to get out of Bluegreen altogether. He said that if I bought 4, 000 more points (for $9000) that we could then be a "Gold Owner". As a "Gold Owner" we could then resell all of our points, includung the 4, 000 bought in 2002 to Bluegreen and get all of our money back. My wife died the next month. When I tried to resell my points I found that he lied to me and I was stuck. Now I am out $9, 000 and must pay $814/yr ripoff fees. I could go almost anywhere for two weeks for $800 without Bluegreeneing invilved I am about to tell them to go to HELL. Tom Wood Baton Rouge [protected]

Once again, if you feel as though you were taken advantage of and told half-truths just file a complaint with the Attorney General in your state. If enough consumers do this, they will be forced into taking action, as they did in my state of Pennsylvania. They ripped-off over 5, 600 Pennsylvanians and hence the lawsuit. I will paste a condensed version below

HARRISBURG - Attorney General Tom Corbett today announced lawsuits today against four Florida-based companies accused of illegally marketing vacation packages, using "free" airline ticket offers and other worthless prizes to lure consumers into aggressive and deceptive timeshare presentations.

Corbett said consumer protection lawsuits were filed against Bluegreen Corporation, Bluegreen Resorts, Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc. and Great Vacations Destinations, Inc., all of Boca Raton, Florida. Bluegreen contacted consumers by phone and through kiosks at shopping malls, fairs, and festivals throughout Pennsylvania, and also operates full-time sales facilities in Hershey and King of Prussia.

"Virtually any consumer with a checkbook and a pulse allegedly qualified as a 'winner' in these promotions, " Corbett said. "Unsuspecting consumers who believed they were contest winners were actually drawn into a high pressure bait-and-switch campaign designed to push timeshare vacation packages costing thousands of dollars."

Corbett said more than 5, 700 Pennsylvania residents purchased Bluegreen timeshares, with many paying $20, 000 to $40, 000 or more for packages that violated Pennsylvania's Consumer Protection Law, the Real Estate Licensing and Registration Act, the Telemarketer Registration Act and other consumer regulations.

Phony Prizes
Corbett said that Bluegreen representatives allegedly called consumers who believed they were entering contests and other promotions promising cars, cash and vacations.

According to the lawsuit, consumers were told that they had not won the "grand prize, " but had been selected to receive other items, like free airline tickets. Consumers were also promised free gasoline and meals when they collected their prize, if they attended a 90 minute timeshare presentation.

Corbett said the lawsuit alleges that consumers who were contacted by Bluegreen were not actually randomly selected prize winners. Instead, virtually everyone who entered the contests was contacted and falsely told that they were a prize winner.

In one case, Corbett said a consumer informed a Bluegreen representative that the person they were trying to reach did not live at that address. The consumer was told that it wasn't a problem - they would give her a prize too.

High Pressure Sales and False Advertising
Corbett said that in order to collect their "prizes, " consumers were required to schedule an appointment with a Bluegreen sales representative. In some cases, consumers who believed they would be attending a 90 minute timeshare presentation were actually subjected to relentless marketing pitches that lasted five hours or more.

According to the lawsuit, numerous deceptive statements were made to consumers during these presentations in an effort to get them to sign contracts immediately, including phony claims that prices would increase the next day, misrepresentations about when and where consumers could travel if they made a purchase and false statements about certain fees being waived.

Corbett said that some consumers bought vacation programs because they were told they were entitled to a one-week stay in Hawaii, only to learn afterward that the program they purchased could not be used in Hawaii.

According to the lawsuit, consumers who sat through the timeshare presentations received "prizes" that were nothing like what they had been promised. The "four free airline tickets" were actually booklets that offered two airline tickets with each hotel room reserved, at high prices, in a limited number of cities. In some situations, consumers were required to commit to a 10 night stay at overpriced hotel rates before being able to select a local airport for their flight.

Corbett said "free" gasoline and meals that consumers were promised turned out to be coupons or certificates with lengthy terms and conditions. For instance, consumers who were promised $40 in free gas were required to submit written requests to obtain a series of gas coupons. The coupons required consumers to pay for their gas first and then mail a receipt for reimbursement, with each coupon limited to a $5 purchase, with no more than one purchase per month.

Illegal Contracts
Corbett's said contracts used by Bluegreen failed to properly inform consumers of their right to cancel their purchase. Pennsylvania law requires that consumers have five days to cancel any timeshare or campground purchase. Bluegreen is also accused of violating a state law that requires all consumer contracts to be written in easy-to-understand terms.

Do Not Call Violations
According to the lawsuit, Bluegreen made numerous calls to consumers who were on Pennsylvania's Do Not Call list, allegedly basing those calls on referrals from other customers. Additionally, the companies are accused of making repeated calls to consumers who clearly told them not to call again.

"Bluegreen took advantage of hardworking Pennsylvania residents eager to find an affordable getaway, " Corbett said. "Using deceptive contests, relentless sales presentations and misleading contracts, consumers were pressured into paying thousands of dollars for vacation packages that don't meet their needs or their budgets."

Corbett said the lawsuits seek restitution for consumers who suffered financial losses because of these deceptive or illegal practices.

Additionally, Corbett says the lawsuit asks the court to void all illegal consumer contracts and give consumers the right to cancel any agreement that did not include the state-required notice of cancellation.

The lawsuit also seeks up to $1, 000 in civil penalties for each violation of the Consumer Protection Law, or up to $3, 000 for each violation involving a senior citizen.

The lawsuits were filed in Commonwealth Court, in Harrisburg, by Senior Deputy Attorney General David Sumner of the Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection.

Corbett says the investigation began after consumers contacted his office to report these practices. He encouraged other consumers who have problems with Bluegreen to file a complaint by calling the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Hotline at [protected] or submit an online consumer complaint.

What a pity you are going to miss out on some wonderful vaction time and resorts.

Some resorts are very low in points some of the newer ones are higher.

Just spent a wonderful week on the Gulf for a mere 7000 points and last year 19 nights in Aruba for just over 16000 points. You have just lost out on some fantastic deals, and before you ask no I dont work for BG I am a textile colourist here in the UK.

Bluegreen Vacations lies about timeshare

My wife and I signd up for bluegreen back in 2006. It sounded good at the time. I was going to retire soon, and my wife and I would like to travel. So we were told about Bluegreen, and we signed up. Little did we know, ownership of a timeshare was involved. We were told we could probably rent it out if we couldn't use it ourself. That is easier said than done. We never use it, so we went to Bluegreen to see if they would buy it back. Because this is what they said was an option. They said "we don't do that, but we will give you the name of some resale companies that will sell it for you. Now I'm hearing that timeshares are worthless, and you would be lucky if you could give them away. I was wondering if anyone in Illinois had the same problem, or has afiled a complaint through the Attorney General's office. Anyone who filed a class action suit against Bluegreen can contact me at [protected]@att.net with information. i may want to be a part of it.

Bluegreen Vacations letter dated 3-10-11

I am in receipt of a letter dated 3-10-11 stating that we owe $1, 485.49. If you would check the records
we turned that property back to Cibola Vista over two years ago. When we went through bankruptcy, I went
to the sales office and was assured that we no longer owned the property.
I do not believe that Bluegreen was the management group we delt with at the time, however there
should be records.
Sincerly

A man named josh? May also be involved. These are very suspicious characters! Changing names every two seconds the bbb gave their last company a f rating.
