Blizzard Entertainment starcraft 2

Hi Blizzard Team, I’m actually very disappointed in your decision to make SC 2 so internet intensive, I played and absolutely loved the old star craft game (without ever having to go online), and after a year of trying to play the SC 2, have just about had enough of Blizzard! I know you made various decisions purely to make money, however you have in my opinion totally failed to appeal to the old school casual player from countries that simply are not internet and dollar rich, for example, here in South Africa we are currently running at 14 to 1 to the dollar, so a $20 upgrade is R 280 which is what I pay for four business lunches in a month. Secondly I bought the standard edition from my local gaming store a year ago and could not play it at all, not offline, not online, why? I can’t play online unless I patch the game first, AND you can’t play the game offline unless you patch the game as well, total download for patches and Void expansion (which I needed to complete for the patch to work) 14 Gb, FYI data is very expensive here in S.A. and the cost for data was three times what I PAID FOR THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE, anyhow, I bit the bullet and patched the game, and well finally I could play, BUT only Void expansion and only a few missions before being asked AGAIN to upgrade the game by buying an expansion, so I tried to play Wings of liberty, BUT I keep on being asked to buy the game and download it, But I have the game I bought it a year ago! WHY BUY AND DOWN LOAD IT AGAIN!, so I began to troll the forums for help and posted a thread and I am still waiting for a response from technical. (It is very difficult to get a customer support e-mail or contact details, everything gets routed to Battle.net which is as helpful as mud) Why could you not just sell a standalone game that required no patching, internet connection or another worm body on planet earth to play, WHY can’t I just play a casual game on my PC against the AI, in my basement without the whole world needing to be connected to me, WHY can’t I just play one edition of the game without being forced to buy and download other editions I have no intentions of playing yet? I have never spent so much money, time and energy trying to play a game and get less than ZERO enjoyment out of it, I have completed all the available missions and this took less than an hour to do, I can’t continue with the campaign, (Unless I DOWNLOAD AND PAY) I can’t play the game I have bought (I have to download and Pay) NOW WHAT? YOU GUYS AT BLIZZARD COULD HAVE BUILT SUCH A GREAT RELATIONSHIP WITH US OLDER PLAYERS, but instead you ostracized us, frustrated us, and turned us against you. There is an old saying “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” Why did you go and play with a winning formula and brake it? SC 2 could have been a stand alone, And allow players to download a battle.net app and play the Edition they have online, then If they enjoyed the game they could buy or download other editions and play with players who have those editions. SIMPLE! I think you really need to rethink this online gaming idea, its not everyone's cup of tea. and go back to a standard buy install and play version, and not a buy install, install some more, buy more and install and then install oh and then patch, and install after you buy, but only after you have patched...and on ...and on! before you play a single game!

Blizzard Entertainment unauthorized credit card charges

Scam Alert! In the last two days my account has been hit by Blizzard Ent*[protected] CA. They tried charging 9 transactions but our bank caught most of them. We have informed our banks fraud department of this site and they are opening a case on Blizzard. The charges range from 1.00 to 59.99. We do not play on line games and have never heard of Blizzard until they tried to rip me off. Blizzard Entertainment unauthorized charge of $100

My name id philip wachter. When i check my capital one master card online, i found a pending charge of $100 from your organization dated 11 / 11. I did not make that charge. I hadn't even heard of your company until i saw this charge. I don't want to give out my full credit card number, as there appears to be more than enough people with it in the first place. But realizing that you may some idea of which card is mine i will let you know the last four digits. The card is a master card from capital one with the last four digits of 0835.

I have included my cell phone number, but would much rather be contacted with email at [protected]@aol.com

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,

Philip wachter

This company charged my debit card three times in three minutes for $149.00 each! I had never even heard of them, much less conducted any business with them! I had placed an online order with Amazon about the same time, and suppose there is some connection to that. I am very upset about these charges!

Blizzard Entertainment credit card fraud

Someone used my son's credit card to purchase WoW Character Service (EUR12.99), BLIZZARD ENT*ONL STORE8 (USD14.99 x9 items) yesterday. I had to very quickly call the bank to cancel the credit card to avoid further fraudulent use. My son needs his credit card for his personal use and will remain unfunded until a new credit card is issued; a bad situation to be in. I don't understand how Blizzard can allow someone to purchase from their store without verifying the credit card's 3-digit code or billing address. Crooks, who fraudulently use other peoples' credit card, should be punished and Blizzard should make an effort to trace them and report them to the FBI. Blizzard should also institute checks to ensure incidents like this should not happen again.

Blizzard Entertainment game master / gm cheating

I have Played World of Warcraft going on 6 years now, and past year and a half i have recorded and kept record of every weird move in game(i.e. Strange activity etc...) so, I find out, , that GM's who give us their names at end of tickets, I write down, always have...anyway, over 4 times within 3 months, a GM will NOT stop bothering me, I mean it's ..unexplainable as to why he or she even would, people certainly are strange, but this is going the distance, I can't DO anything about it! I FEAR if I put in a Ticket or rather Submit suggestion to LOOK at your game masters, they are hacks, I will be told "Your being banned" but now I don't care...The GM's (Game Masters) some are awesome, very nice people..., a few, are horrible mean, nasty people whom seem to think they are above everyone else...and they CHEAT! I have PROOF of this, a old friend who has passed away due to cancer (how we met, same clinic we went to.. mine is still..active but that is not why I am writing this lol) . She let me watch as a GM talked to her and GAVE her the Mount Death Charger for nothing... all she had to do was go beat the Horse guys, lol, and WALLA!
I held my tongue, BUT NOW!... I am so pissed at Blizzard, those NON caring BULLY, mean, nasty people! If I even report this..they would have banned or they b****, and TRUST me... IF ya speak your mind against them, not in anyway rude, etc... they act like ROYALTY...as if "HOW dare you spend a TON of MONEY at BLIZZARD and simply be..killed constantly by cheats and hackers and RUDE children..
BLIZZARD PROMOTES BULLY-ISM AND BOOZE! I Hope all Parents who are thinking of letting their child play READ THIS, go download free version and find out for yourselves! They sell ALL KINDS OF BOOZE which makes the screen blurry, REAL COOL HUH? Ya IGNORANT EVIL PEOPLE @ Blizz...Keep your STUPID game Your hackers whom GET IN your PC and STEAL Credit card numbers, etc... yes...read UP a LOT on past crooked GM's they fired, LOOK how many are FIRED in a MONTH!
If I knew back then I never would have bothered... having cancer leaves me with little to do, BUT! I WILL NOT BE...spit on like this, it's WRONG.! I am over THIS "game" deleting it NOW! I COULD SELL MY ACCOUNT! But WHY? Just to have someone sue me due to...stupid CHILDISH RULES that IF BLIZZARD DON'T make a CENT why should US people who spent a a LOT OF MONEY $$$$$$$$$ on pets Mounts, realm changes due to pests, etc... 30 bucks every 2 months...NOT GET OUR MONEY BACK? Blizzard is GREEDY..LOL Why should they care if someone wishes to sell their account? Also, FILM is coming out called "WARCRAFT" watch THEN how even MORE SNOBBY they become...TY for your time...

Blizzard Entertainment - incompetence

I've just about reached my limit re: Blizzard Entertainment's deveopment team. I have reached the conclusion that although they are well-educated and have a weath of ideas, they are incompentent when it comes to writing code for World of Warcraft. By rough estimates, they owe each of my characters that are lvl 60 or above about 300 gold for repairs when...

This has happened to me today. I do have a blizzard account but I never have bought anything on it so I never entered my card number. It is also a visa card. Luckily it was only 13.00$. I have Norton on my computer and it says that I have no viruses. Do you know anything else about this topic?

Absolutely true... I just had three consecutive 49.99 charges to my bank account. No kids, wife and I are in our 50s. No way we would play these games. Called them... Great referral to the website. Thanks!

Blizzard Entertainment scroll of resurrection

I used "scroll of resurrection" service in the World of Warcraft and recruited my friend. As per the instructions on the page of Battlenet, i suppose to claim my reward in game accessory as my friend subscribed 1 month. I have opened a ticket for my complain, first GM said it will be done within 1 week due to bank issues ?!? than now a customer service representative contacted me mentioning that i will have my reward after 2 month of subscription !?!

Below is the quota from "Scroll of Resurrection" FAQ support page (http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/scroll-of-resurrection-faq) :
"What benefits are there to sending a Scroll of Resurrection?
You will receive an exclusive mount when your friend who accepted the Scroll first renews their subscription and pays for 30 days of game time – the Spectral Gryphon for Alliance characters or the Spectral Wind Rider for Horde characters."
As soon as she accepted the scroll, she renew her subscription and earned 1 week free play. Than used her credit card to pay 30 days of game time.

I am very disappointed by the lack of promotional service plus the level of customer service quality and demand a proper explanation from a Blizzard employee. It is simply cheating the customer.

It's not cheating the customer, you have to wait a week for the free trial to expire and the subscription to start, which is clearly outlined in the terms and conditions

Blizzard Entertainment unathorised transaction

Credit card transaction appeared 24/7/12 (transaction date 21/7/12) BLZ_ENT*ONLN STORE [protected] for $82.35.
Also been told by my bank that there is still another transaction to be processed by the same company.
Have had credit card cancelled, and need to dispute the transaction. Looking online, this seems to be happening a lot.

Blizzard Entertainment unauthorized billing

After months spent cancelling the WOW charges (stopped playing), I thought the matter had been resolved. Five months later, a charge appeared on my credit card. It took 3 tries to get on their customer service "queue", where I was on hold for just under 90 minutes. Initially, the representative refused to credit my account, reversing the charge, insisting that "someone" had authorized it (not so). He finally agreed to stop charging and refund the money. I spent too much time resolving a $16.33 matter, but I hate to think if they do that to many people, they are making a fortune ripping people off.

if you don't cancel the account or ask for a freeze [some companies will do this] you will continue to have monthly subscription charges. you stopped playing but if you allowed them to charge the credit card it will continue till you tell them to stop. they will close the account till you reactivate it. when you reactivate it you will get charged again for access.

Blizzard Entertainment bad business, really bad

Having read the reviews of Blizzard Entertainment s "World of Warcraft" online game, I wanted to add some information not already touched on.

First of all, I completely agree with all that have stated that their customer service is non-existant. You will typically wait a week for any response from them, and usually the response will be computer generated and place the burden to fix the problem or research the problem right back on you the consumer. In addition, if the company has made a mistake, they will NEVER, EVER admit it. They almost seem to laugh at you the consumer, because they know you are addicted to the game (more on that later).

Another issue tied to customer service is routine maintenance and frequent patches to the game. Scheduled maintenance frequently creates a much longer downtime than the company expects. I do not have a problem with downtime per se, it is just that the company does not seem to value their consumers time. They will post that the game is expected back up in an hour, but they cannot realistically believe that. I have seen it be down for a full day, where they keep saying on the hour, every hour, that it will be back up in the next hour. The patches they make to the game very frequently cause trouble for the customer. You may not be able to log in after a patch or a myriad of other problems. Then, you the customer are left to figure out what the problem is and can spend an incredible amount of time trying various "fixes." An example of this is where the company tells you to remove and rearrange certain folders in your program files that are a bug in the system. I feel that fixing these bugs should be Blizzard's responsibility, not mine.

Another issue is that of hackers. There are quite a bit of gold sellers and power-leveling companies that advertise their services in game. Blizzard claims to be aggressively against these entities. However, I have seen these companies use avitar names (usually something like Blizzerd, or Blyzzard ect. to trick the player to go to a phishing website) over and over again. There is a register complaint button that is supposed to give a heads up to Blizzard concerning these scammers and spammers. But since these entities are still using the same avitar names, day after day, I question how aggresive Blizzard is with them. Although I have not been hacked, I know many people that have. And being hacked in game opens a pandora's box that effects a much greater scope than just your World of Warcraft game.

The final issue is that of the addictive nature of the game. This game is designed to take a great deal of time to play. It is a fun game, no mistake about that. But, it is very clear that the company's intent is to keep you playing as long as possible (paying a monthly connection fee). I feel that playing this game has taken a toll on my life in the last several years. Although I no longer play, I watch a co-worker going through the same thing I went through. She is neglecting her children and the relationship with her husband, all just to play a silly game. Do not underestimate the addictive nature of this game, especially for those that are having difficulties in life. There is a great amount of escapism that this game offers, but at a high cost.

Knowing what I know now, I wish I had never gotten involved with World of Warcraft or Blizzard Entertainment.

Blizzard Entertainment fraudulent charge

I checked my bank statement online today and found charges on my account for my debit card, for BLIZZARD ENT*ONL [protected], I had no idea what it was. And furthermore, on 5/9 when the supposed charge was made I was at work all day, then came home and went to bed to get up early for work again. I have no clue how this happened but I am livid to say the least. I've attempted to contact this company, but to no avail, I am contacting my bank and will seek further action against this company. It absolutely out of line, this charge was completely unauthorized.

Blizzard Entertainment bad customer service

Blizzard does not give a ### about its customers. I think the only thing more horrible than their customer service is many of the other WoW players. Before this gigantic waste of time, I had never met so many disrespectful and arrogant Americans. Lt vermillion is an Ally subhuman immature little ninja ###, for example. At least you're not playing on a US server! Seriously, though, to anyone considering playing WoW... It's a gigantic waste of time and money. Go buy an XBox or something. The customer service is way better!

Blizzard Entertainment phishing emails continue to flood in after filling out their &secure& starcraft ii registration

After purchasing Starcraft II Collectors Edition, I ran the included PC-DVD and filled out its registration form. The game "patched" itself then when done refused to run because the computer I bought 10 months ago was incompatable! The computer runs all of my other high end games smoothly except this.

Worst thing was that BEFORE it told me my computer is deficient, it demanded I register the CD key... Now I have a worthless game that cannot be returned to the store because it was opened, and cannot be sold to another person because the key has been registered!

The game won't even attempt to run, simply says I do not have a vertex shader... I had a similar issue with an older computer where a different game said it couldn't run but gave a "continue anyways" option that when pressed ran the game flawlessly.

NO "CONTINUE ANYWAYS" OPTION WITH STARCRAFT II

Now after that still unsettled fiasco and a "collectors edition" box that can only collect dust I started to receive several "World of Warcraft" phishing attempts daily.

I ONLY FILLED OUT THEIR REGISTRATION FORM DIRECTLY FROM THE INSTALLER ITSELF. WHEN THAT HAPPENED IT TRANSFERRED MY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO SCAM ARTISTS AND PHISHERS WHO REPEATEDLY HARASS ME FOR MY PASSWORDS!

WHERE IN THEIR PRIVACY POLICY DOES IT SAY THEY WILL HAND OVER MY EMAIL INFORMATION TO PHISHERS?

I WASN'T GETTING THESE BEFORE REGISTERING IT

it looks like from the picture you fell for a trap. That is a scam email. they somehow [without blizzard knowing this] get your email from varrius places and send out a clone email to you that goes to a fake site that is actualy a fraud webpage not affiliated with blizzard. if you read the return path its @hotmail.com not @battle.net right there that is a red flag. also why you cant play is possibly cause your system requirements are below the recomended specs for the game.

Blizzard Entertainment poor customer service

I am absolutely outraged at the terrible customer service Blizzard offers. The only thing worse, it seems, has been my experience after purchasing their WoW game, and I have only played for a month.

IMHO, if you purchase this product you are wasting your money. Go play Phantasy Star Universe or something instead. Wow is nearly impossible to play with the rampant amount of bullying and online harassment, especially directed towards new players. In the chat boxes this sort of harassment is socially approved, and even condoned. Thus, it seems this sort of childish, immature behavior is tolerated by Blizzard.

Regarding customer service, it seems to take eternity for someone to read your ticket. Further, there is an character limit on each ticket. With my report of harassment, Blizzard wouldn't inform me as to the outcome of what they decided, i.e. is it safe to log on again. Further, the harassing player can simply switch accounts, and the harassment will continue. If I wanted to tolerate this kind of garbage, I'd simply visit an American high school.

I feel as if my money has been stolen. I'm absolutely embarrased and downright ashamed to be a customer of Blizzard if these are the kinds of customers they cater to.

The tl;dr Version: If you want to waste your money, be subjected to poor customer service, and be harassed all at the same time, go buy a Blizzard product.

I played WoW for 5+ years and finally quit for your same reasons. I was a very seasoned veteran on the most popular server in WoW history. After MoP launched it became unbearably, 3 hour que times, so they offered us free xfers. Was reluctant at first, but I wanted to play the game so, I took the xfer. I was shocked and dismayed at the people on the server they xfered us to. I'm an adult and I can handle most things, but your own faction treating you like crap because you xfered there was disheartening. At first I was able to report the abuse, but Blizzard eventually took away my privilege to report abuse. I had screen shots of my own faction making it impossible to quest, which is what Blizzard wanted us to do in Mop, and shouting about ("us" Illidan) players to go away. Blizzard does not care at all about it's customers. They actually took it out of their EULA about preventing other player from playing the game. They now condone hate. I asked their CS to remove me as a client, and was referred to another department who never answers your complaints or calls. I've read several complaints about Blizzard still charging you after you quit. So anyone quitting Blizzard contact your credit card company, because Blizzard will continue to rip you off for as long as possible.
