Not a good experience with blahtherapy
I went on BlahTherapy one time. They assigned me a "listener" to chat with as a "venter". I waited and eventually connected with someone. They asked my name and why I was there. I gave them an alias and told them I was having issues in my life that I felt like I needed to talk to someone about. Then they asked if I was a man. I said yes. They responded with "god" and immediately disconnected the service. I thought maybe they meant "good" and the disconnection was an accident, so I tried to connect again. Got the same person and they immediately disconnected. It's awful because one of the things I wanted to talk about on there was how being a man has effected me due to experiences exactly like this. I had no inappropriate contact with that person, they knew very little about me, and they ditched the connection directly after I said I was a man. Seems like sexism to me. Maybe not all "listeners" are like that, but it was not a good experience with the one person I connected with.

This website has a great idea that's poorly performed.
They could pay a lot more attention to people who come for help or to provide this help. They could monitor those who call themselves listeners. Many of them don't have any experience, so what kind of help can they provide? What advice can they give if they are themselves very young and haven't seen anything in this life?
It's strange to me. I would like to see more adult people among listeners.
not doing their job!
I would just like to say I am completely DISGUSTED! That this has happened. This didn't happen to me but my best friend who would never do anything about it but I wont stand for it. My friend who suffers from sever depression used blahtherapy.com today and while she was talking to this "therapist" this person that was supposed to help her with her problems, while she was at her most vulnerable state, talking about extremely sensitive topics, this man decided that it would be appropriate to hit on her, asking her if she was single and wanting to meet her. Now I'm no expert but I don't think someone who's job it is to try and stop someone from committing suicide or doing something drastic, should be using that precious time to talk to the person and NOT try and get their perverted rocks off.

I was shocked, when I started to chat with other people. They told blah-blah and nothing else. Some stupid advices and total rubbish about life. Not recommended website and better avoid them. I only waste time on this website and nothing happened. Stay away from it.
They steal money and don't' provide any help
I had the horrible situation in my family and my friend advised to visit the website www.blahtherapy.com. But I was disappointed and angry that such people tried to make money on the misery of other people. I spoke with the lady and she was calm and tried to help me, but she told me that I could contact the other therapist, who had the similar situation. But it was scam and they promised other therapists and took money from me. It might be a good idea, if people write about their experience with these people.
