bought a cell phone from Wirefly they sold me cell phone insurance for $49.95. 11 months later my phone and wallet are stolen from my purse at a club, called T-Mobile they advised insurance not through them, called Wirefly after many attempts got a person who said insurance was through NCOA, they gave me a website, went online got a ph #, called got voice mail, left message no answer, next day called again left message, called wirefly they could not do anything for me. Finally got a call from NCOA saying submit claim online, did so, at same time I filed a police report on the theft. Two days later get a declination from NCOA due to negligence. After several e-mails complaining, Ifound I could no longer logg onto their website my account was no longer valid. After several weeks I had to buy a replacement phone, in the meantime kept up with complaint never got anything other than "desicion upheld, claim not covered due to negligence". I have asked from president to contact me and provide me with information on the government agency they report to so that I could complain, have gotten nothing, other than an e-mail saying "per my request they are sending me a refund check" what request! Wrote again asking what request and what refund, did they mean a complete refund or pro-rated which would be nothing, again no response. In the mail I got a check from them for $6.20! What does that buy? I feel doubly violated once from the person who stole my phone and wallet, and the other from NCOA they took my money and did not provide me with any service or coverage other than causing me frustration and anger. They advertise as a company that provides "peace of mind and hassle free claims". How could a business get away with scamming people from their money and advertise as they do!!! I would like to file a complaint with the Florida better business bureau, but don't know how to go about it. Can anyone tell us if all of us who have been scammed can file a class action suit? This company needs to be fined, forced to either cover all the losses they turned down, or be forced to reimburse in full plus pay for pain and sufferring caused to clients they scammed. SOMEONE HELP US!
